The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the vehicle was started, and the "Low Battery Power" message was displayed. The contact attempted to exit the vehicle but was unable to unlock the door with the key fob or manually. The contact's husband was able to open the driver's side door from outside the vehicle. A day later the vehicle was able to restart and taken to the residence. Additionally, the contact stated that on three separate occasions while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost power and independently shifted to park(P). The vehicle was taken to the residence. The contact stated that on one of the occasions, the vehicle had stalled. The vehicle was restarted and taken to the residence. The vehicle was diagnosed by the dealer's mobile technician, and it was determined that a software program needed to be updated....
On July 1, after opening my vehicle with the NFC key, I attempted to start my vehicle in approximately 100-degree weather, only to find that the vehicle's main interior no longer recognized my key, and would not allow me to start my vehicle. inside, it was well over 120 degrees, and none of the climate control would come on, after multiple attempts to reset, the vehicle still would no come on. Fisker refused to answer any calls regarding this issue, and has hung up on me before being able to contact any person about this.
I have several service tickets open for my Fisker Ocean One that have not been addressed, many going back over 3 months. 1 - the vents on my Ocean are malfunctioning. They were supposed to have been replaced before the car was delivered to me in October 2023, but they were not. 2 - the car has randomly put itself into park on several occasions while I've been driving. It has happened while I have been backing out of my driveway, stopped at a red light, or simply driving down the road. 3. I have experienced issues with the windows and sunroof not working, such as not rolling up or down. Sometimes I have to press buttons multiple times to get a window to close. Buttons only work sporadically. 3 - 8 days ago, I received an over the air update, as required for the last Ocean recall (for which...
The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, warning lights displaying incorrect warnings were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V405000 (Electrical System). The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the braking system disengaged, causing the vehicle to move forward. The contact attempted to notify the manufacturer of the failure, however; had been unable to reach a representative. The failure mileage was approximately 150.
Several times I have experienced mechanical failure with car stalling in the middle of the road, requiring to power down and restart. This led to several near collisions. The message on the dashboard was indicating something like "Drive Motor failure."
This EV car shuts off unexpectedly causing power loss. it has occurred 3 x Fisker has not answered the phone or answered email. fisker has filed chapter 11 and we do not know what to do for safety help
The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated while coming to a stop light, the vehicle lost motive power. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact restarted the vehicle, but the failure recurred intermittently. The dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000. The VIN was not available.
Explanation of Safety Risk: The inability to lock the doors of the Fisker Ocean while in the vehicle and in parked mode presents a significant safety risk. This defect can compromise the safety and security of the occupants in the following scenarios: 1.Immediate Threat from Robbers or Attackers: •If the vehicle cannot be locked from the inside while parked, occupants are vulnerable to external threats. In the event of an attempted robbery or physical attack, the inability to quickly secure the vehicle leaves the occupants defenseless. Locking the doors from inside the vehicle is a critical safety measure that can prevent assailants from gaining immediate access. 2.Emergency Situations: •During emergencies, such as a carjacking attempt or hostile confrontation, being able to lock the doors instantly is crucial for protection. The inability to do so can escalate the risk of harm to the occupants, as they cannot use the vehicle as...
The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle was hesitating before the vehicle started slowing as needed. The contact stated that the ABS warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that the key fob was not recognized by the vehicle and the contact was unable to open the doors. The contact had replaced the key fob battery several times. The contact stated that a factory mechanic was at the residence and diagnosed and determined that a software update was needed to be completed. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure had reoccurred. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.
When coming to a stop, the brakes “slip” causing the braking distance to increase. This significantly increases the potential of a crash. Secondly, the car puts itself in PARK and engages parking brake when at a stop sign or traffic light. This significantly increases the potential of a crash. Thirdly, the display panel notes a brake system and ADAS malfunction while driving. Lastly, the driver’s side rear taillight of the vehicle doesn’t work and requires new part to fix it - which isn’t available. This significantly increases the risk of a crash.
Vehicle will not operate in accordance with manufacturer's statements. I can floor the accelerator and it will slowly creep up in speed but never get above 30 mph. I cannot operate this vehicle safely. Fisker has tried to repair it but has had no luck and have gone completely silent without returning emails. I have called the customer service line and have been discounted after two hours on hold. I have video to send but NTHS does not allow videos.
There are two display screens in the Fisker Ocean. One is small, in front of the driver. The second screen is mounted center of the dashboard. About 4 weeks ago I experienced a complete failure of the larger center information screen, which includes control over settings, navigation, bluetooth connections, phone calling, audio channels, charging (amps) settings, trip meters, odometer, owner's manual and A/C control. This renders the vehicle undrivable in the typical Texas day -- NO Air conditioning! I have sent numerous emails to the help/support line and have called Fisker. I have an incident / case number but no response from the company about how to fix this. Case [XXX] There are also numerous warnings, alarms, beeps and resets while the car is being driven. Periodically, both screens go blank, causing the driver to wonder if the car will stop abruptly in traffic. I drive this car daily only...
Vehicles spontaneously losses power while driving. During this time power steering is disabled. Fisker technicians reported it was a known issue that would be corrected via a software update. The company is now bankrupt and no longer providing software updates.
On around 5/8/24 I lost the use of horn, have an air bag warning failure, ADS warning, loss of controls on steering wheel.
Date is ongoing since November 2023. I am writing to report a safety concern related to the key fob of my Fisker Ocean One. On December 10 & 22, 2023, March 20 & 29, 2024, I have been locked out of the car for prolonged periods of time of more than 30 minutes and up to 5 hours. I have experienced daily failure to properly lock and unlock the vehicle, once I am in the vehicle even when putting the key fob up next to the NCF reader, the vehicle notifies me that no key can be detected, and the car will not start/go into ready mode. Issues continues daily which leaves me stranded and unable to access the car in an emergency. I cannot properly secure the vehicle against theft and unauthorized use, and it deactivates the vehicle's immobilizer system. Continuous signal transmission from a defective key fob can...
Any issues having to due with the Fisker Ocean are unresolved because no one answers the phone number that NTHSA and Fisker have provided (844-347-5971). Submitting a request on line does not result in a response and sending a request via email at [email protected] does not yield a response. There are serious issues and safety concerns with the vehicle that are not resolved and no one is helping the consumer or general public.
I have sent two service requests to Fisker Inc. for a critical safety failure. The rear drivers side door will not unlock. I have verified it is not in child lock. If I ever have to access my grandkids quickly, it will become a serious situation. I have also sent Fisker a video of the problem. There are other multiple issues with this 6 month old vehicle. Key fob does not work as intended. Car will go into Park on its own. Driver attn. camera never worked. Rear cabin light stays on. Multiple other software issues.
The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bag warning light was illuminated and a system braking assist message was displayed. The contact stated that several other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
- The key fob does not open the door immediately, and sometimes not for 5-10 minutes. Today, I had cold groceries and I stood outside my car trying to unlock it for 10 minutes. The fob didn’t work and neither did the app on my phone. My mother-in-law often rides with me and she is elderly. She would have had much difficulty in the heat waiting for the car to unlock (luckily not with me today). Any number of emergencies require immediate access to the car - it should…I don’t know…unlock immediately when the unlock button is pressed. - Sometimes while sitting in traffic, the car will randomly go into “park.” If I have to move quickly to avoid an accident or make way for an ambulance, that is very problematic. - Interior lighting randomly comes on, which is especially troubling at night when trying to focus on the light...
I just bought/got my Fisker Ocean Extreme, it barely had 500 miles on it. I have already had numerous issues with this car. Ex, emergency braking system, electrical, GPS, sensors, honestly you name it! The company has been of no help, I was on hold for 5 1/2 hours today. Only to hear from a robot telling me my call is important and that an agent (that never came) would be right with me. The cat also has ZERO capability of AC nor Heat at the moment. It’s well over 100° where I currently live with humidity. I can’t even drive my vehicle at the moment unless the temp outside is believe 80°. This is absolutely absurd. I tried to take the car back to the dealer, they explain that they don’t have any Fisker techs onsite nor do they know anything about the vehicle. HOW CAN YOU LEGALLY SELL...
On May 5, 2024 three passengers were locked in the rear seat of the vehicle. The door lock button in the car would not unlock the rear passenger doors, nor would the remote, nor would trying to open the door with the handle. Approximately 1.5 hours later, the rear doors unlocked. However, the rear passenger overhead lights would not turn off.
There is an electrical component to this vehicle that is not shutting off. I charged the car to 80%, drove approximately 12 miles, locked the car at approximately 3:45 pm and it sat until 9:45am today. The vehicle has drained to 68%. I have proof of the charge for Electrify America and proof of the mileage.
Vehicle would go into reduced speed mode and abruptly come to 17 mph on highway. I have called. Emailed. And send message on social media with zero responses. Service department has not responded in months to any service requests.
The 2 LCD screens that display all car data from speed to navigation to charging to safety features have all gone dark. My Fisker Ocean One only had 1485 miles on it when this screen failure occurred. I cannot tell how much change the car has. I cannot tell how fast I am driving.
The key Fob is not recognized. The car will not start. The locks do not work. I have been locked in and out of the car. My grandson was locked in the car. The car rolls back when in drive. The car goes into park when stopped at a stop sign. The driver assist is non operational. The car is not drivesble.
Unable to Start Fisker Ocean One with FOB vehicle continues to state "battery low" and NFC on FOB not functioning. Fisker Ocean One sits dead unable to start or function for hours leaving the driver stranded. Contacted Fisker Ocean Customer Support who were unable to define or help why this is occuring? Fisker Ocean One strands driver anywhere and anytime as you may drive and then stop or get halted and then unable to get the vehicle to start up and have to sit stranded until vehicle will start back up at "random unknown timeframes".
We are getting a grinding noise when vehicle is decelerating, when re-gen is engaged but the vehicle is going over pot holes , the re-gen releases the brakes and the vehicle rolls off, you don’t feel any deceleration anymore it has cause many scary situations, it feels like the vehicle is loosing the brakes. Also one our passenger s noticed the seatbelts are not retracting, I have placed several tickets with Fisker and we get no response, no contact, we have tried calling the phones and nothing, we have tried their chat service, nothing…
1. The high voltage warning light is illuminated on the dash, the vehicle is available for inspection 2. The vehicle will not operate at a speed of more than 17 mph which puts the driver and general public at risk 3. Fisker technicians have attempted to repair on March 29, April 5, and April 18, 2024 in person at my residence Fisker has been unresponsive on next steps and will not respond to support requests, emails, or text messages.
During Moderate Braking, while driving over a bump, the entire drivetrain and braking system with "let go", and it feels like a surge in the drivetrain. During this time braking is unresponsive until it re-engages the system. If attempting to replicate, and viewing the driver's information console, sometimes you can see the "transmission" switch between Drive and Neutral and back to drive again. I have reported this to Fisker only weeks after receiving the vehicle in Sept 2023. They met me in a parking lot in San Diego, where "Taylor" a Magna Styer Engineering Technician for the ADAS system stated this was a known issue. Then in Dec 2023 or Jan 2024 the NHTSA reported that Fisker had fixed the problem - they have NOT, but since moving to Utah, the roads are a bit better than my original purchase location. On [XXX] while driving to work and when running...
I have severe safety concerns about the malfunction of the vehicle’s regenerative braking system. Since I purchased the car, it has unexpectedly lurched forward during stop-and-go traffic on several occasions. This sudden and unpredictable acceleration poses a clear risk of collision and injury to both the vehicle’s occupants and other road users. Despite multiple attempts over the past six months, Fisker has been unable to diagnose and repair this braking defect. As a result, I am left with a vehicle that is unsafe to operate under normal driving conditions. Fisker’s failure to address this problem promptly raises concerns about a potentially widespread defect affecting other 2023 Fisker Ocean vehicles." Please note that Fisker has responded to customer feedback and issued an over-the-air software update to improve the regenerative system, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is still investigating the braking problems.
Vehicle will often not recognize included key FOB resulting in car shifting into park while stopped on the road, sometimes for multiple minutes, creating a very unsafe stopped car in active roadways. Vehicle dash will state "FOB not in vehicle." FOB is designed to communicate via NFC to ensure that the correct FOB is with the correct vehicle. My vehicle has never recognized the FOB and instead relies solely on the FOB's battery to maintain constant communication with the car. Resulting in the FOB battery going dead 4-5 times a week. Car is un-drivable because of this.
I was driving at 50 mph, midday, on a local road. All of a sudden, got a motor error, the motor light came up in red on the dash, all safety lights turned on on the dashboard - brake, adaptive assist (ADAS), motor fault, no safety features available. The car would not accelerate wit pushing the pedal and the car lost all propulsion. I was able to coast to the side of the road and come to a stop. No brakes were functional.
The car door handle did not extrude itself despite being unlocked. A child was in the car, in the middle of the day, and I was unable to open the door to retrieve the child. If my wife was not in the car to open it from the inside, we could have had a fatal situation on our hands. There have been numerous situations where the car would also fail to unlock randomly.
While driving and pulling out of the parking lot, the parking brake engaged on its own, preventing me from accelerating and almost causing a car accident.
This vehicle is not safe to be on the road. I've had numerous safety issues: 1) Electrical: --every day I get warnings about faults, particularly with many of the ADAS features being unavailable. --the dash screen with the speedometer fades out while driving. --the main screen stops working or locks on a back-up camera image. --the A/C system intermittently functions. The biggest issue with this is that the vehicle has a glass roof that traps heat in the car and it gets hot inside fast. --interior lights turn on and won't turn off. --the rear door will unlock but the door cannot be opened. This is particularly worrisome in the case of an emergency if I can't get my kids out of the backseat. --the side mirrors have closed by themselves while driving. 2) Driving --the car will shift gears on its own while driving, generally shifting into park when...
The vehicle has 4 coolant pumps to keep the batteries from overheating. One of my pumps stopped working and the company sent me the new pump a month ago but have yet to schedule a tech to come here to replace it as promised. The car has less than 500 miles on it and is dangerous to drive as it will shut down without warning on the highway. Fisker needs to send the tech out before they file for bankruptcy. Please help.
Two Safety Issues; 1. Driver side front inside door handle malfunctioning so that it cannot be opened from the inside. I have to lock/unlock the car to apparently reset the system so that it will open. This does not happen all the time but has happened twice over the past week. Clearly a safety issue if you are trapped inside the vehicle. This can be inspected. No warning messages by the vehicle. 2. Vehicle has gone into park while coming to a full stop and will not easliy shift back into drive. Similarly, I had to lock/unlock the car several times to get it to do back into drive. This happened a few times in the past week so it has not been addressed by Fisker. The safety issue is apparent as a parked car in moving traffic dangerous. No error messages by the vehicle. There are many other issues...
Many grievances that are not addressed by the company: Brakes sometimes cause the car to "jump" forward and glide forward a couple of feet. If someone cuts you off and you have to quickly brake, the car may "jump" forward and get into an accident. The car has evidence of water build up somewhere inside the skeleton/body/frame of the car (evidence by "swishing" noises upon normal uphill acceleration, downhill deceleration, acceleration in general). Along with this, there's more evidence of water accumulation with visible condensation found on the windows that are from the inside (especially evident on the passenger side front and rear windows). There is a smell to the inside that is of standing water (humid smell). Concerned with mold if not addressed. The consul will stop working and either freeze or shut off altogether (in these cases no buttons can control the vent or audio systems). Occasionally the...
I began driving home from work with the vehicle at 75% charge. As I pulled onto the main road the vehicle experienced a regenerative braking error, then proceeded to lose power. The vehicle came to a halt and then displayed an error that the battery charge level was 0%. At this time every single error indicator on the dash became illuminated. The vehicle stopped in the travel lanes and was unable to shift into drive to move, and subsequently had to be towed. Due to the vehicle's unresponsiveness my safety was put at risk by having a vehicle that could not move out of the travel lanes on a busy road.
1. Center screen is completely off. It controls everything in the car: safety feature (blind sport, lane keep assist, traffic light alert, regenerative braking, and many others), AC/heating system, communication, navigation, etc. 2. Whistling noise started coming from the electric motor (I guess!). Not sure what exactly this sound is but it increases significantly with acceleration and slows down with deceleration.
During high speeds on the highway the car starting making random beeping and booping alerts, every warning showed up on the dash and a notification quickly popped up that said something along the lines of battery failure and need service, then disappeared, then a red battery indicator remained displayed and the car's acceleration and regenerative breaking went dead. We managed to roll the car for about half a mile to the next exit and pulled over. My wife was driving at that time and when I got out of the car to switch with my wife, the problem went away and we weren't able to reproduce the problem. I have sent this issue to Fisker the day of and they are completely ignoring it. I've been hounding them everyday about this as well as all the other issues with the car and expired plates. My wife is too scared to...
My Fisker Ocean Extreme has been inoperable since [XXX]. Initially, a Fisker rep told me it was likely due to software update Fisker pushed to the car, causing the car alarm to sound and the 12 volt battery to die. Fisker did not notify me that it was pushing an update to my car on [XXX], nor did I “accept” or “install” any update. The car was parked at the time. On [XXX] and [XXX], the rep tried unsuccessfully on two occasions to repair the car. Ultimately, he stated that a connector “welded” itself (his words) to the high voltage battery. Although the rep said the “welding” was rare, it has occurred. Before he left my car, he disconnected wires and further rendered the car inoperable. Fisker promised to arrange no later than [XXX] for the car to be towed and repaired in La Palma. However, despite repeated calls and...

Today, I had to slam on my breaks on the freeway. Luckily I was able to stop in time. However the Fisker completely shut off, flashed every warning light imaginable and wouldn’t respond. I sat diagonally in the middle of a 6 lane freeway and for 5 straight minutes the car wouldn’t work. I finally got the car to turn on but it wouldn’t switch to drive, it was stuck on park or neutral. I had to turn off the car, lock it, unlock it and then the car responded. It was very scary. The 2nd was last weekend I had my car in the garage plugged in for 7 days and it didn’t get driven. When I returned I got in the car to drive and the battery was at full charge. While I was driving to work the battery was dropping several % a minute. After 20 miles...
When accelerating quickly in drive, the vehicle shifts into neutral, brakes, goes into park and shuts down. Technicians have repeated the issue and attempted to fix it but no solution has been found. The dash displays the message, "Brake System malfunction. Service Required." There are a few dash icons that display indicating a "System Fault," "Brake malfunction," and "ADAS fault."
There have been many issues with my Fisker..Since the first day I got it I have had problems trying to get the car doors to open. I have even been TRAPPED MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE CAR unable to get out because the doors won't unlock to let me OUT. Since the first day I got the car I have been sending messages to fisker. Also, The first day I got the car, The Brakes system malfunction warning comes on often and the fisker IT Guys say” don’t worry about it “. The fisker support does not respond for days and sometimes weeks and sometimes not at all. Also I got the Fisker IT Service support technician for my are so I just text him most times with the issues. The AIr condition just stops working randomly. The sensors has been replaced but it keeps failing, the vents had to be...
On Monday March 25th the 12v died with my whole family in the car my wife and two kids couldn't open any of the doors or trunk and there's no emergency latch to get out of the vehicle we were stuck in the vehicle for 2 hours before assistance came for us.
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Brakes system How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? When hitting a bump or pothole, the brake would not work properly, and the vehicle keeps moving forward almost accelerating Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No Fisker customer service line was notified but has yet to have a technician visit as they said an update will adjust the regen brakes (never supplied a case number). Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? No technician has been sent or a case number sent. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warnings this has been an ongoing issue since the...
