Apr 2024 vehicle stopped connecting to cloud. Unable to get software updates OTA. Dec 2024 Paid to be updated to 2.2. But don't think I recieved full update due to a portion that need to be done OTA after manual updates. Jan 2025 vehicle randomly goes into park and all doors unlock when the vehicle is in park. The following recalls still have nor been done... July 2, 2024NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499000 Water Pump Failure Can Cause Loss of Drive Power A sudden loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. June 20, 2024NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V466000 Door Handles Can Stick and Fail to Open A door that fails to open can prevent occupants from exiting in an emergency, increasing the risk of injury (This is happing now starting Mar 2025)
I’m contacting NHTSA to let you know that I have an open recalls that I am trying to get performed. I would like to know how to get reimbursed for the ace recalls for my vehicle as it is crucial to get done ASAP. The issue I have with a car with only 200 miles is that the door handles don’t open properly and the air condition Vents are not opening properly and there were numerous recalls that I would like to get performed and I’m not sure how to go about that with reimbursements . I am also having numerous lights on my dashboard for safety going on and off.
My fisker has multiple issues. I am unable to get in my car, unable to unlock, unable to get to charge port to charge. I am unable to drive Fisker was to send vent replacement parts that were ordered for my car to fix ac vents , but did not send them before bankruptcy. I was unable to use my ac in the car in texas There is a water pump recall, but have been unable to locate someone to order part or fix My door handles don’t work properly
My door handle on driver side will not open from Inside. Critical Safety hazard. There is a Recall notice, however I have attempted to reach out to Fisker and no response. This is a critical safety issue
If the door handles are in the unlocked position when 12 volt power is lost to the door handles, the handles do not open, potentially trapping occupants inside the vehicle.
Car is unsafe to drive due to sudden power loss. Faulty water pump causes car to go into limp mode. NHTSA Campaign number 24V499000 for water pump failure. Parties responsible /assigned by the Bankruptcy court have not corrected issue. Car parked since November 15, 2024.
Car is unsafe to drive due to braking recall(faulty regen braking)(24V865000), water pump recall (loss of power )(24V99000) and door handle recall(lock in car)(24V404000). Bankruptcy court has allocated monies for Repair but i have not received any repairs or notifications from responsible parties. Car is undriveable.
Car is unsafe to drive due to faulty brakes (regen fails and car looses ability to brake) NHTSA CN: 24V865000 Car will loose power due to faulty water pump go into limp mode or stall. NHTSA CN: 24V99000 Car needs software updates for braking issue(version 2.2) and water pump replacement with updated water pump. Parties assigned/funded by Bankruptcy court have not contacted me to repair the car. it has been since parked since November of 2024.
RCLRPT-24V499-7295: NHTSA issued safety recalls for 2 parts in July of 2024. I received messages in the mail from NHTSA. Fisker went bankrupt and I am unable to get these resolved. Lack of access to FAST tool for service providers and parts for #1 and #2. 1. Inspection and potential replacement of outer door handles due to sticking and failure to open 2. replacement of cabin electric water pump due to water pump failure causing loss of drive power there are also 3 over the air updates provided through 2.2 updates to owners through Indigo. I have received that but there continue to be problems of unreliability and regression of updates to lower version.
Exterior door handle, interior door handle, latching/locking mechanism on rear driver-side door. The exterior door handle started sticking and not retracting upon locking the car or upon driving it. Over a couple of months, the door stopped opening from the inside and outside. The door has not opened since July 2024, which is a safety issue if one needs to exit the car in an emergency. There is an active recall for this item, but no parts have been available since the recall announcement in June 2024.
Their are multiple recalls for Fisker Ocean One but none have been serviced and no contacts for recalls and service.
* Safety recall 24V499 - replacement of cabin electric water pumps. Pump was replaced [XXX] by Nuts and Volts automotive. Cost to me was $185.71 including parts, supplies and $150 labor. Liquidating trustee / American Lease is providing $175 for pump replacement and door handle checks. * Safety recall ?? - replacement of door handles that fail a pull test. I had a front drivers side and a right rear door handle that failed the pull test as administered by Nuts and Volts Automotive using the prescribed tool on [XXX]. Cost to replace will be $150 for NFC front door handles and $100 for the right rear, vs Liquidating trustee / American Lease is providing $100 for NFC door handle and $80 for others (right rear in my case). The tool was not available when the pump was changed. Problem - door handles being provided by American Lease (as designated...
Still waiting for NHSTA mandated recall work to be completed as part of the bankruptcy settlement from October 2024. I have had to put out considerable time & money out of my own pocket to try and address these issues, even though money was put aside in the bankruptcy settlement. I had to pay out of pocket to travel to 200 miles to meet an approved mobile tech to handle the recall work. I was to pay labor, but the technician did not have the tools to do the pump replacement (#1 recall), his device to test the door handle recall (#2 recall) was not functioning properly, and I had to pay to manually update my software to 2.2 (#3 recall), which did not provide the full update, only the OTA team could provide. For recall #3 (software update 2.2#) I have received 1 part of 3 updates from OTA...
$375 for all three (manual 2.2 software update, water pump replacement, and all door handles checked).
Had to pay out of pocket for recalls of software to fix braking and water pump. Car was bricked with OTA update from manufacturer.
My concern relates to the recall campaign for 24V623000 reduction in regenerative braking. The slow roll out of this campaign caused this unrepaired recall to result in a crash of the vehicle resulting in a complete loss. While driving on a highway in subzero temperatures, the driver let off the accelerator to slow the vehicle around a corner. At this point the vehicle lost the expected braking and began to lose control. This sent the vehicle to understeer and toward oncoming traffic. An attempt to correct sent the vehicle out of control and into a collision with barriers, spinning across the road with the rear door on the driver's side completely ripped from the body. While the driver was not hurt, it is quite possible that a passenger could have been thrown from the vehicle and seriously injured. This is an obvious serious safety risk to not only the occupants...
Front passenger door handle is stuck closed, should be fixed under recall(NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V466 Subject: Safety Recall Campaign TSB55062401 – Outer Door Handles (2023 and 2024 Model Years Fisker Ocean)), but have recieved no correspondence or reply from anyone about it. Passenger door has to be manually opened from inside vehicle since outer handle is not functional. Also, after software updates as per recall, the ADAS system gives all kinds of "lane departure failure", "collision warning failure" alarms that ding incesantly and cant be silenced. It is very annoying and distracting while driving to have blinking lights on the dash and warning buzzers.
Cars door handles regularly don’t work locking me out of car and sometimes in car. Emergency breaking is regularly disabled by car for no apparent reason.
I am submitting this complaint because my 2023 Fisker Ocean One has not received any of the six NHTSA-mandated recalls, and with Fisker Inc. now bankrupt and unreachable, there is no clear path to getting these critical safety repairs completed. My wife drives this vehicle daily for work, covering approximately 100–150 miles per day, and the ongoing safety concerns pose a serious risk to her and others on the road. The vehicle has multiple serious safety issues that remain unaddressed due to the lack of manufacturer support: Safety features are non-functional – Several critical safety systems are either malfunctioning or have stopped working entirely. NFC Card Reader Failure – The NFC card reader on the door handle has stopped working, making entry into the vehicle unreliable. Vehicle Rolling Over Bumps – The car exhibits an uncontrolled rolling movement when driving over bumps, which creates an unpredictable driving experience and a...
There are 4 open recalls on my vehicle, yet 0 (none) have been addressed. The Fisker Owners Association (FOA) has been trying there best, but I have some serious safety issues that need to be addressed. 1) I am still on 2.0 on the OTA software, 2.1 and 2.2 address 2/4 of the recalls, and was supposed to be installed by the end of the 2024, it was not. 2) The water pump on my car is part of th 3rd recall, if it fails my car becomes ‘bricked’ 3) My door handles are defective and 2 out of 4 do not open from the outside, this the 4th safety recall that has not been addressed. Help! what can I do to get these important safety issues addressd ?
I have several recalls on this vigil that I have not been able to fix. NHTSA CampainNumber 24V499 Water Pump issue. The door handle issues. 12 volt battery going out several times. Brake and regenerative breaking issues.
Passenger door could not open from inside.
The passenger door will not open. Has occurred on 2 occasions. Could trap someone inside the car in an accident or emergency.
Passenger rear door handle became stuck and I was unable to get my kid out of the back seat without going through the driver's side rear door and getting them out. This has been an issue since. The door handle is stuck in the "out position" at all times and is not functional. I am now unable to use the passenger rear door.
The exterior door handles have lighting covers that disintegrated. The LED lighting system is exposed to the weather on all 4 handles.
My front passenger door fail to open even if the doors are completely unlocked. I took several tries of luck-unlock exercise and finally my passenger with a broken foot able to get out.
-Failed: 12 V battery draining, defective screw assembly that holds the hood down, broken air vents. Inspection available upon request. -Put in multiple repair tickets/messages months ago with no response from Fisker. Phone # listed in recall mailer just rings and rings. Phone record show I've been on hold for 8+ hours total before giving up. -No inspection of components by Fisker or other service centers or insurance. What happened: -280+ miles of EV battery drained while we were on vacation for 10 days. Came home to dead battery. Bricked: unable to unlock car door or charge port. -Dangerous situation as I've read online of multiple people being trapped in their cars with electrical failure. -Called for Fisker Roadside Assistance, no response. Luckily we came up with the idea to call AAA days later. They came out and was able to jump start the 12 V giving enough power to...
Passenger front door handle has stuck since new. I saw these have been closed. However Fisker has done nothing to fix the situation and now stuck with so far one door handle that is broken and can cause someone to be trapped in the car. Also random collision breaking and warning lights randomly cause driver interference while driving potentially causing an accident.
Door handle failed and locked me inside of the car on August 27. I had to climb to passengers seat in order to get out of car. The incident has not been reproduced or fixed by manufacture. It’s my understanding there was a recall for door issues that claimed to be resolved, but hasn’t.
1) BODY: My passenger was unable to open the door from the inside and I was unable to open the door from the outside. I had to unlock and lock the car with the key fob and I was able to open the door from the outside. 2) LIGHTING: Rear reading lights turn on randomly. 3) SEATS: When passengers are in the vehicle, the alert pops up saying the seatbelts aren't engaged even though they are.
There are 3 major issues/concerns with this vehicle. 1. Sunroof/Roof - This rooftop does not seal completely. Initially this roof would rattle and you could hear squeaks and movement. Then the sunroof would only open on a half and then soon not at all. Because of this, the top is never fully sealed leaving water to leak inside in different areas potentially causing more issues to the electrical components inside. 2. Seats area weight sensitive. While driving it is too sensitive so at a red-light, any slight movement will immediately put the car in park and doors unlocked. Even WHILE reversing, any movement on the seat (to look backwards), the car will go in park while moving! 3. Forward collision warning - the notices to stop/warn you of a collision are WAY too late. by the time you actually get to a stop, the beeps and lights come on. I...
My passenger was unable to open the door, from the inside, using the door handle normally used to exit the automobile. Additionally, I was unable to open the door from the outside using the exterior handle. I had to fully lock, and then unlock, the car to get the handle system to allow exit. This has happened on 4 occasions. I am unable to reach anyone at Fisker to put in a service request by phone. I have submitted services tickets via their website and email, but have gotten no response. The date the first incident occurred was approximately January 15, 2024, with 3 subsequent incidents.
After a 20 minute drive and arriving at destination, I put the vehicle in park and tried to exit the vehicle, but was unsuccessful. The driver door would not open by pulling the handle. I tried unlocking & locking the vehicle with the button on the side of the door, but it did not activate the locks. I also tried using the key fob and it would not unlock or lock the vehicle. I then put the car in reverse to back out of the spot and then drove back in and put the vehicle in park. After doing this I was able to get the locks to activate using the unlock button on the door.
Rear passenger door won't open from inside or outside. Company sent replacement part at end of May, but has been unresponsive about sending a tech out to replace among other issues. Concerned about safety for my child or rear passengers in event of accident.
Explanation of Safety Risk: The inability to lock the doors of the Fisker Ocean while in the vehicle and in parked mode presents a significant safety risk. This defect can compromise the safety and security of the occupants in the following scenarios: 1.Immediate Threat from Robbers or Attackers: •If the vehicle cannot be locked from the inside while parked, occupants are vulnerable to external threats. In the event of an attempted robbery or physical attack, the inability to quickly secure the vehicle leaves the occupants defenseless. Locking the doors from inside the vehicle is a critical safety measure that can prevent assailants from gaining immediate access. 2.Emergency Situations: •During emergencies, such as a carjacking attempt or hostile confrontation, being able to lock the doors instantly is crucial for protection. The inability to do so can escalate the risk of harm to the occupants, as they cannot use the vehicle as...
On June 12, 2024 I first noticed the door handle on the Front RH passenger door stayed extended when the vehicle was locked at the end of a short trip in town. When locked, the door handles on the Fisker Ocean are designed to retract flush with the surface of the door. The extended door handle was locked, so the car door could not be opened (as expected). The next morning, I unlocked the car using my key fob, causing the other door handles to extend. I then locked the car with the key fob, and all of the door handles retracted, except for the handle front RH passenger door. Once again, I unlocked the car, leaned over from the driver's side, and found that pulling on the interior door handle would not open the unlocked front passenger door. Keeping the car in Park, I exited through the driver's side...
On May 5, 2024 three passengers were locked in the rear seat of the vehicle. The door lock button in the car would not unlock the rear passenger doors, nor would the remote, nor would trying to open the door with the handle. Approximately 1.5 hours later, the rear doors unlocked. However, the rear passenger overhead lights would not turn off.
The regenerative braking doesn't work when I hit a bump. There is a bump that can't be avoided in my route to my house. Every single time, without fail, when I hit that bump my regenerative braking goes out and more stopping time is required for me. This is especially dangerous because this bump is near a traffic light. If I have to slam on my brakes to avoid running a light (which has happened a few times) I have very little stopping time available and have nearly rear-ended and/or ran a traffic light on accident due to this failure of the brakes. Additionally, when this happens and I press the brakes to help slow me down there is a "hiccup" feeling where it feels like neither the regenerative nor even the normal braking is working. This lasts for about 1.5 seconds.
The car door handle did not extrude itself despite being unlocked. A child was in the car, in the middle of the day, and I was unable to open the door to retrieve the child. If my wife was not in the car to open it from the inside, we could have had a fatal situation on our hands. There have been numerous situations where the car would also fail to unlock randomly.
Passenger Door Unlock fails, and passenger is stuck in the cabin and unable to open door - I have reported this to Fisker multiple times since my vehicle was delivered in September 2023, and despite three mobile technician visits, the problem persists.
Rear left door handle will no longer open the door. Either from the interior or exterior. Unlocking and locking the vehicle does not resolve the issue. Fisker says to pull the interior door handle twice in case of emergency, but this does not manually actuate the door handle. Occupants would be currently stuck in my vehicle and unable to exit...
I parked my car and was unable to open the door to get out. Tried few different way but door would not open. Complained to manufacturer, they claim they could not duplicate the problem, and did a software update. I have a video of the incident, however, I was unable to upload it. I can e mail it to you
Firstly I think I must inform you that I am reporting this from the UK, I am a US citizen but live part time in the UK and this was a UK delivered car. I have also reported this to the UK DVSA. This is to report two problems that I think you should know about, both of which are potentially life threatening. 1.My wife became locked in the car and could only exit after the computer was rebooted. There is an electrically activated "Dead Bolt" that prevents the door handle from opening the door, this is under the control of the computer. If the computer system has a glitch, which it seems to have every time the car is driven, then the "Dead Bolt" may not release trapping one in the car. It seems ridiculous that this design has passed even a basic safety review. There should be a...
Passenger door failed to unlock or open from inside the car after parking. Passenger pulled on the handle multiple times but the door would not open. The driver got out of the car and attempted lock and unlock the car with the Key FOB and used the exterior handle to open the car but unsuccessful. After approx 10 minutes of trying all sequences of locking, unlocking, getting back in the driver side the passenger door finally unlocked. Service request submitted to company but
On two isolated occasions the passenger front door would not open from the inside with the door unlocked, my wife tried topen the door several times but would not open. I locked and unlocked the door, then it operated properly. On another occasion the rear passenger door would not open from the outside. Again locking and unlocking the door resolved the problem. I am not sure iff htere is an interior manual release for the doors.
Took delivery of the Fisker Ocean One on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Upon driving home in the freeway on Sunday, December 3, 2023, the hood flipped open and completely obstructed my view of the road. The hood slammed against the windshield (but did not break the windshield) and popped off the rear view mirror. Hood is bent, as well as causing body damage. The hood is supposed to be secured with two bolts in the front end. My assumption is that the hood was not properly secured prior to delivery. There was no way to know this was an issue unless you pulled off the front panel to examine the bolts and if they are securely fastened. Though no bodily injury occurred and no other vehicles were in the incident, this was incredibly dangerous as I had my full view obstructed, while traveling freeway speeds on the freeway. A ticket...
*driver's door failed to open from the inside--door appear to be unlocked as the door handle on the outside was extended. Had to crawl across the center console to exit the vehicle *Blind spot and lane assit fail to function periodically (probably 50 percent of the time)
