I had the vehicle updated to version 2.3.3 by a technician because my car would not update OTA. I thought this update would resolve the ADAS problems as well as the breaking problems. However, on three separate occasions my vehicle has come to an abrupt stop with automatic breaking when approaching a redlight / intersection with no other vehicles in front of me. This occurred while manually applying the break and then the car just took over. There were no forward collision warnings, rather the car was automatically forced to shuttering stop. An alert appears that the brake system has malfunctioned followed by both LED screens turning off and on. The break malfunction error appears several times. Eventually, the screens will restart and then when you try to put the car into gear a gear shift error appears and the car will not go into gear leaving me stranded in...
ADAS warning lights often go off while driving - distracting to driver I am still getting errors , even after water pump replaced (recall 24V499000 (Water pump)) as car still gets errors and shuts down, comes to a COMPLETE STOP WHILE DRIVING. incredibly dangerous. Water pump recall replacement cost me $201.20 in labor costs.
Front passager side door will not open when unlocked. This door handle was a replacement for the original handle that had the same defect. The second handle was installed in March 2025 This then would be the second handle that failed
Our Fisker Ocean One since it was disconnected from the cloud, now the cluster screen and main infotainment screen go black, can’t see the speed, can’t adjust temperature or turn on A/C, sometimes it works and when accelerating and staying in motion goes black
24V865000 (Roll away OTA-2.0) 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1)
The cars electrical system does not work properly. It is always triggering false alarms. The emergency braking brakes for unknown reasons. The blind spot cameras and notifications always switch off for no apparent reason. There are warning messages that come on and off and are unreliable to warn of an actual problem.
Recall campaign # 24V865000 (Roll away OTA- 2.0) OTA updated on 7/1/2024 after the the updated the V12 battery was dead and our car was bricked for 6 months and it cost us $1,400 to unbrick and part replacement and our Fisker technician told us our car has drive unit software discrepancies therefore it can't take any software update until it fix On 2/26/2025 American Lease Company pushing over OTA update (recall #24V865000 - Regen Braking OTA 2.2) and again our car is bricked, to unbricked it cost us another $800 and have to replace V12 battery for $300. As of today 5/3/2025 our car is still on OTA 2.1, therefore the recall OTA 2.2 will not get update until we get the drive motor software issue fix.
I paid out of my own pocket for a safety recall, with no evidence I will ever be refunded, and the recall team has un-done my recall update. This is the 2.2 update that was put in place to fix the potential issues with the safety of the vehicle. I do not know what they have undone. I know that my system went from full 2.2 software to 2.2.2 (part2) of the update. I have no idea if they will now update the vehicle back to the safe 2.2 version, as there are zero plans, and the recall team is insisting that this partial update satisfies all the recalls. But the recall documents say 2.2, not a partial update.. god knows if it is even safe to sit in this incomplete configuration. Still no plans to get water pumps and door handles done yet either. I just started calling tech...
American Leasing updated my software to 2.2.1,2.2.2, and I no longer have Blind spot monitoring, emergency braking, and lane keep assist. All Safety ISSUES!!!!
I have 2 complaints. 1. Driving the car into the sunrise or sunset, the car generates ADAS alerts stating imminent accident, and to stop. Stopping in the heavy traffic, as the warnings told us is a safety hazard! This happened twice when driving on [XXX] in Costa Mesa, CA at [XXX] in February and March 2025. At that time, we are basically driving into the bright sunlight. Traffic was heavy with lots of stop and go between 0 mph and 30 mph. I kept at least 3-5 car distances, yet the ADAS alerts kept going off for several minutes. 2. After the latest 2.2 upgrade, our real-world range dropped from 340 miles to 280 miles. The car is supposed to be rated for 360 miles. I've had much better range before the 2.2 upgrade driving from San Diego to Los Angeles, as well as from San Diego to Central California...
An OTA update got pushed to my car without warning, and for over a month the infotainment screen (which has all info on car, controls, etc) was not working. Car did drive, though. Then, last week, the infotainment panel started working by itself again, but car functions such as lane assist / automatic nudge, collision avoidance function, and auto emergency braking stopped working (to be fair, they may have stopped when the screen went blank initially, but I wasn't paying too much attention and I didn't drive the car very much). There is no fault code or warning. These systems just don't work. Interestingly, the lane departure warning (a light that goes on if there is a car in your blind spot) started working, and it never has before.
There was a mandate that an update be performed to address safety issues with braking. The update has been partially done which has not addressed the original issue and has created other safety issues (inability to see screen, no AC control, no rear camera, no blind spot, no emergency braking).
I scheduled a OTA update as recommended in the recall campaigns. I was given a 48 hour window where I was unable to use the car and must keep it charged at all times. After completion I saw that the entire update was not completed. And about a week later another update came where I was not notified or scheduled at all for it. I returned to a car with a dead battery. Upon jumping the car had numerous errors and alert signs all over the display screen. ADAS was now detecting non existend obstructions in all directions and was throwing alerts constantly while driving. One two separate occassions both the drives and passenger side doors would not unlock and we had to exit via the rear doors. On another 2 incidents there was no interior lighting at night and I was unable to see the buttons to adjust my...
On several occasions, following update to the 2.2 S/W load to address Recall RCAK-24V405-1431, dated June 11, 2024, the vehicle braking system has been erratic with Emergency Braking System Warning lights / alarms repeatedly annunciating. I paid for the 2.2 S/W upgrade, at my cost, to address the recall requirements.
Lack of Access, Inability to Use Vehicle, Out of Pocket I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000 and the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. The current OTA process left me needing to replace my 12-V and forced me to pay out of pocket to get a manual update installed, which is financially burdensome. In addition, I also had to pay out of pocket to replace a recalled water pump. This has left many of us in a state of uncertainty regarding the functionality of our vehicles and forced to pay out of pocket for a mandatory free recall.

The Fisker Inc has went for Chapter 7. The two recalls regarding the safety of the calls (recall #TSB10062408 and #TSB55062401) have not been properly deployed into my car, which were supposed adminstrated by the money given by Fisker Chapter 7 trustee to American Lease. American Lease has the duty to deployment the necessary tool and software update to my car. 6 months it has passed, my car only got partial software update and has no communication from American Lease as well as no driver side handle software to be released to Fisker qualified auto shops to replace the handle. American Leasing is demanding owners now have to pay for their software update, which should be free to owners.
Unannounced, on February 12, 2025 update 2.1 was pushed to my automobile. It has amplified the already missing and malfunctioning safety features of the car. I started to receive 12v battery warnings, downhill traction warning light, sporadic ADA system failure warnings including: loss of lane departure warning and avoidance, loss of emergency braking capability, and loss of forward collision warning. The HVAC system is also malfunctioning - fan speed at start up is automatically high temperature and occasional sudden fogging of window interiors at highway speeds. The mileage remaining calculation also suddenly dropped, causing concern I would not make it home from work safely. I'm very afraid to continue driving the car: I worry it is a danger for myself and others on the road. I have been forced to take it to a service & repair center for an inspection to address the sudden low 12v power drop. I...
There were three times that after I had the car in park and tried to get out that I was unable to open the driver door to exit. The driver door out side handle did not automatically pop out to allow me to exit. I tried locking and unlocking the door internally and also tried with the car on and in park. On one occasion the window was stuck closed, probably because of icing. I ended up crawling over to the passenger side to get out. On the other occasions the door handle was popped out but I had to open the window and open the door using the outside handle. Frequently, the driver door handle won't go back in until after I have been driving for a few minutes. This seems to be the only handle with the issue of "sticking" either popped in or popped out. Occasionally when...
My vehicle has been undrivable for the past 4-5 months. It started when I was leaving my work's parking lot after removing the car from the chargepoint charging station. The vehicle suddenly started stalling and gaining power when I was accelerating then losing power afterwards. I readily parked in one of the spots, exited the vehicle, locked it and unlocked it after a few minutes in hopes that it would turn on and work normally. The car would turn on, I would put the vehicle into "D" and when accelerating, the vehicle would go into "N" automatically making me lose traction and the car going forward and scaring me to death as my car was on a spot in front of a valley. Thankfully I was able to press the break quickly and and turn on the "hand brake". Now the vehicle decided to work again, but I'm extremely scared...
My car became inoperable after update was sent to the car without communication or notification. Required purchase and installation of a new battery. Continue to have braking / accusation issues when going over a bump. Car will at times not open from the inside.
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern.
Braking Issue and ADAS Warning + Lack of Access Concerns I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver, I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. With 48-hour update windows, my vehicle becomes unusable for an extended period, which is highly inconvenient and concerning. Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected,...
I have not been contacted by the manufacturer for previous mandated safety recalls including an issue with the water coolant pump and the software update to version 2.2 which is supposed to fix a number of software safety issues. With the company bankrupt, I have no idea how I will receive these safety recalls
24V865000 was supposed to be fixed with an OTA update I received a few weeks ago. The OTA update took 2 separate 48 hour periods to finish so I was without my vehicle for over 4 days for this process but thankfully my car is still operable which can't be said for some others that have gone through this process. I was also informed by a service center that not all of the modules were updated and are not communicating effectively with the rest of the modules, opening me up to potential issues down the line. I'm writing to inform you that the issues this recall was supposed to fix have not been completely fixed and it seems they've opened up different issues from what I've experienced prior to the update. Issues not fixed that were supposed to be: 1-My vehicle does not always engage the brake hold when stopped...
I was told by the Fisker service center that my vehicle CANNOT receive the required safety recall software updates without also getting a new 12V battery installed. I would like the full cost of the safety recall to be covered including the necessary new battery. Also, I was charged $325 labor to have another recall done - to replace the water pump. Here is a list of safety recalls for this vehicle and my current situation: 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) - cannot be completed on my vehicle without new 12V battery 24V499000 (Water pump) - I was charged $325 to complete the required safety recall 24V466000 (Door Handles) - inspection was not completed, service center asked for additional labor payment, which I refused to make. 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) - cannot be completed without new 12V battery 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1) -cannot be completed without new 12V battery...
too many software issues with so support and very hard to get help with this issues.. even if you find a technician they are ripping the pockets with high fees to fix the repairs and some repairs are getting fixed at all
* Safety recall 24V499 - replacement of cabin electric water pumps. Pump was replaced [XXX] by Nuts and Volts automotive. Cost to me was $185.71 including parts, supplies and $150 labor. Liquidating trustee / American Lease is providing $175 for pump replacement and door handle checks. * Safety recall ?? - replacement of door handles that fail a pull test. I had a front drivers side and a right rear door handle that failed the pull test as administered by Nuts and Volts Automotive using the prescribed tool on [XXX]. Cost to replace will be $150 for NFC front door handles and $100 for the right rear, vs Liquidating trustee / American Lease is providing $100 for NFC door handle and $80 for others (right rear in my case). The tool was not available when the pump was changed. Problem - door handles being provided by American Lease (as designated...
Safety issues door handle breaking issues safety noises paid extra money for water pump and fees for door handle modification
Some Issues that my car has: 24V623000 Regenerative breaking is not working correctly. It has delay! 24V499000 Water pump is not working correctly. One time in the freeway, my car lost the drive power. 24V466000 Door handles stuck and failed to open several times. One time in a shopping center, when I got out of the car, all door handles got stuck, and I could not open the doors to help my kid in the car.
In early October 2024, my Fisker received over the air software update 2.2. This software update bricked the car, rendering it in operable, and I was unable to even unlock the vehicle. I managed to get in through the back window, and triggered the alarm when I tried to start the car. The vehicle was inoperable for 2 1/2 months, until I located a technician, at my own expense of close to $2900 to fly out, diagnose the problem, and Unbrick the car. The technician was able to get the car running and reinstall most of the software, but the software update damaged the ADAS controller in the vehicle, rendering it in operable. It hastaking me over a month and a half to source a replacement part, and I purchased one at a cost to myself of approximately $400. I still have to go through the process of having a...
Hi, I don't have a functioning car. It is bricked due to an update from 2.0 to 2.1 (en route to 2.2). I've experienced all the normal stuff like my Brakes wouldn't work as expected and the ADAS Warning Beeps were going nuts... But currently, there was a forced, OTA Update that I did not consent to and now the car does not move (or turn on). I'm concerned about the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. The experience I had with my Fisker durning a 2.1 Over-the-Air (OTA) update attempt left my vehicle undrivable. This is leaving me in an inconvenient and frustrating situation. As a result, I had to incur additional expenses to have the necessary safety updates completed to restore my vehicle's functionality. This is far from the experience that I expected when signing up for a free...
After an incomplete update to a mandated (part of a recall) software version 2.2, the following happens constantly: Vehicle lost the pedestrian alert noise after the incomplete software update. The lack of the legally required pedestrian alert noises are a safety concern for those around the vehicle. Constant ADAS warnings that are extremely distracting, made even worse when driving in challenging driving conditions, like rain, snow, fog or in the dark. After the incomplete update to software 2.2, the 12V battery was drained and now I get frequent low battery warnings and/or the vehicle won't start or won't unlock. Exacerbating the problem is the sad fact that there are no service centers for Fisker vehicles to have warranty or service done to the car. It is extremely difficult and expensive to find a technician willing to work on this car and a simple 12V battery replacement or update the software...
Over-The-Air (OTA) mandated software update for Fisker Oceans is bricking vehicles and/or depleting 12V batteries. Constant ADAS warnings won't shut off, being very distracting and a huge safety concern. Warnings come o day/night, all driving conditions but especially bad when it's raining, snow, fog, or when it's dark. I signed up for OTA update performed on Nov 12-14, 2024. It took 3 entire days where I could not use the vehicle. Afterwards, I realized the 12V battery was severely drained. I keep getting constant errors that the 12V battery voltage is low and the car shuts down, won't go into gear. On several occasions I was not able to get in the car - totally locked out. The team in charge of doing the OTA updates does not communicate with owners , do not provide advise or notice . Many owners car have been bricked because the OTA team pushes...
I am $851 out of pocket for repairs to address NHTSA mandated recalls. Software updates have not fully addressed all issues, notably excessive and distracting repeating audible and visual driver alerts related to ADAS failures, especially when raining, dark, or driving into direct sunlight. Vehicle was subject to multiple recalls (software: 24V865000, 24V623000, 24V405000, 24V404000; hardware: 24V499000) manufacturer is bankrupt, zero follow-through from trustee / administrators to enable me to get these recalls addressed. There is an "OTA" team who are responsible for delivering software updates over the air. They are opaque, uncontactable, and appear to operate beholden to no-one. They have failed to establish a method for providing the NHTSA mandated software updates. The Fisker Owner's Association has attempted to fill the administrative delinquency but they are also not getting support. My complaint is based on the requirement that the manufacturer ensures I am not out of pocket for...
The car has issues with braking over a bump, it stops breaking momentarily. There is a recall for this however the company charged with performing the recalls is now getting the work done or leaving it up to the owner to pay for the parts and labor of the recall. There is also a recall for the cabin circulation pump and door handles, again owner will be charged for labor and parts. TSB10062408, TSB30032401
Received 2.2 updates on November 12th 2024. Vehicle didn't next day morning. 12V battery was totally drained. I had to call one of the Fisker old technician to remove the old battery and install a new battery. I had to pay him $400 on that day. He said he had to come back again and update the software as 2.2 update didn't happen properly. He came back again a week after and charged me $1400 for fixing the car which was Brick condition. I have wasted a total of $1800 just in 2 weeks. But still I don't have 2.2 update on my fisker
Urgent Safety Recall Complaint – Lack of Updates & Service Access Dear NHTSA, I am writing to express my serious concerns about the ongoing safety recall process for my vehicle, including NHTSA Recall Campaign Numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. There are currently six active recalls, and I have not received the 2.2 OTA update to address braking system failures, persistent ADAS warnings, and the missing pedestrian alert noise, all of which pose significant safety risks. I have experienced brake slippage and loss of function, especially over rough terrain, which remains unaddressed. ADAS warnings continue to be distracting and dangerous, and the required pedestrian alert sounds are missing. Despite attempted updates, many vehicles, including mine, are still affected. Owners report that 2-5% of vehicles become undrivable post-update, requiring up to 48 hours to install, with some needing another 48 hours for partial fixes. Only 10% of the fleet has been updated successfully...
Range has decreased rapidly since 2.2. Trustee won't pay for door handle or water pump replacement. Trustee won't provide access to fast and other tools to fix cars.
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which is distracting and dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had a partial update...
Continuous vehicle issues even after recall work and updates Had to pay out-of-pocket costs beyond stated reimbursement amounts. $432.38 for parts and labor to correct steering fault software issue and water pump replacement. Still have door handle safety issues after repairs. Electronic lock/unlock does not function properly. Leaving us locked inside or outside until help arrives. Software updates have stopped. Im still on 2.0 and as stated on the bankruptcy agreement Ocean owners would still receive the OTA updates. We have not as others have unusable cars from the latest OTA update. Inadvertent automatic emergency braking is still happening. This randomly happens more often in poor weather and poses a driving risk for me and others on road. Lastly loss of braking has increased. Which most frequently occurs over uneven surfaces. Let me know if you need anything further as this car is the absolute worst with endless issues and...
Brake pedal rattling occasionally, lane departure warning light constantly on, multiple warning signs pop up (charger door open, driver monitoring system, etc.). OTA update is not done. main screen goes dark while driving
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. The experience I had with my Fisker vehicle following the 2.2 Over-the-Air (OTA) update attempt left my vehicle undrivable. This is leaving me in an inconvenient and frustrating situation. As a result, I had to incur additional expenses to have the necessary safety updates completed to restore my vehicle's functionality. This is far from the experience that I expected when signing up for a free mandated safety recall. Also, Following an attempted OTA software update for the safety recall, I have noticed that the pedestrian alert noises are missing, which poses a significant safety risk not only for those around the car but also for the occupants inside the vehicle. Moreover, I've noticed a concerning trend regarding the frequency of issues reported by fellow owners...
warning light came on for reason.
My water pump was replaced as part of recall, however, i had to pay out of pocket for pump and labor. Iam unsure my ADAS and warning system is working and automatic breaking is working. This is so unreliable system and can't be trusted. Manufacturer had shown no effort on delivering the quality and safety.
Water pump and door handles are recalled. Manufacturer will not pay. I paid $218.75 for water pump replacement and door handle check. Car is required to have 2.2 software update to be complaint with NHSTA. Manufacturer will not upgrade my software. I paid $437.50 to have my car upgraded. Otherwise, I could not enter my car using a key and I would receive warnings every 30 seconds that ADAS and other sensors were not working. Faulty non-NFC door handle that was recalled. I paid $175.00 to have a new key FOB/NFC card and original key to be reprogrammed so that I could unlock/lock and start the car.
Fisker entered Chapter 7Bankrupty. As part of the court order certain recall work was to be completed and funding was given to do this to a company. I have to date only received partial software updates and not the full requirement of the recall to Software 2.2 that was ordered by the court. I also had to pay out of pocket for a technician to replace by 12V battery because of software issues after partial installation. I have lost mileage distance since the new partial software as well. I paid out of pocket $247 for the required water pump recall and door handle inspections. Plus fees for a mobile technician. This is above the amount Liquidators Trustee is planning to pay of $175 (if they ever do). This car is a safety risk and the Trustee is not making a good faith effort to fix the required recalls. I have...
Vehicle needs software update to 2.2 NHTSA (Campaign Number: 24V405000) but there is no contact regarding when this will happen. The ADAS Warning system has had a warning light on since I received the vehicle. I had to disable audible warnings because they were distracting and dangerous. Also, the vehicle needs a replacement water pump (NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499000) and measurement of door handles (NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V466000). I have not used the vehicle for long trips for fear of water pump breaking causing me to be stranded. Fisker trustee has not made the recalls noted above available to me as an owner. I've been locked out of my car twice for 30+ minutes. The anxiety of being able to get into the vehicle is unnerving and I can not take my dog with me and leave him in the car as I run errands for fear of not being...
The mandatory recalls for this car cannot be done as the OTA update never worked in my car. I constantly get the ADAS error warning and they dont work randomly. The sudden acceleration over uneven road still happens. Sometimes i can feel the brake is bouncing back. I went to the authorized service center to get the recall work done. I was told that they have not get paid so they stopped doing it until further notice. If i wanted to do it, I have to pay $400 (water pump). To manually update to OS 2.2 to resolve some of the recall works, I have to pay another $250. All these recalls are mandatory for safety concern, but I cant get any of them done because Fisker is not paying for the service.
I have not received the Fisker 2.2 OTA update that addresses software recalls 24V865000, 24V623000, 24V499000, 24V466000 and especially 24V405000. My wife is very concerned about the reliability of the brakes and the overall safety of our Fisker. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to the complete lack of 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. I haven't even receive the OTA update. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in...
