Consumer Description
24V865000 was supposed to be fixed with an OTA update I received a few weeks ago. The OTA update took 2 separate 48 hour periods to finish so I was without my vehicle for over 4 days for this process but thankfully my car is still operable which can't be said for some others that have gone through this process. I was also informed by a service center that not all of the modules were updated and are not communicating effectively with the rest of the modules, opening me up to potential issues down the line. I'm writing to inform you that the issues this recall was supposed to fix have not been completely fixed and it seems they've opened up different issues from what I've experienced prior to the update. Issues not fixed that were supposed to be: 1-My vehicle does not always engage the brake hold when stopped causing my to roll forward or back depending on the incline of the road. 2-Warning lights are constantly flashing, especially at night or in inclement weather. I just completed an 800 mile round trip where I had warnings every mile or two that certain adas features were failing. For hours I experienced flashing lights and sounds were binging and bonging so frequently that I had to wear noise cancelling headphones and apply electrical tape to my dash to cover the area where all of the alerts were flashing. New issues after the software was installed: 1-My estimated and actual range, charge percent, and energy efficiency are drastically lower than they were before the update. I'm told that many of the other cars on this new software are unable to achieve the stated range except in the most optimal conditions. 2-Near constant fan noise above the rear view mirror at times. It comes and goes at random 24V499000 was also fixed recently but I was out of pocket about $400 for the work. My understanding was that recalls are paid for by the manufacturer. In addition to the money, I was also out 3 days time and had to travel over 400 miles to get the work done
