After updating to OS2.2, I have experienced nonstop ADAS warnings via the front instrument cluster. I would get constant (ever 5 seconds) of an audible & visual alert indicating: Auto Emergency Breaking unavailable - drive carefully Blind spot monitoring unavailable These alerts have stopped and is replaced with a constant ADAS fault indicator (telltale) on the driver display.

Even after i was fortunate to receive software update to version 2.2, i still receive frequent driver assistance warnings and periodic unavailability, resulting in loss in automatic emergency braking, lane keeping warnings, blind spot warnings, and similar. Additionally, internal lighting is inconsistent which results in lights coming on while driving that dont seem to have a way to turn off. Lastly, i have paid money to have my key fobs programmed which should have been free, and paid cash to have my recall-related water pump replaced.

am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver, I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. With 48-hour update windows, my vehicle becomes unusable for an extended period, which is highly inconvenient and concerning. Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had...

There are NHTSA recalls on this vehicle, and nothing has been repaired yet. The OTA 2.2 was pushed, causing my 12V battery to drain, and I had to pay out of pocket to replace it. I continue to have brake malfunction error messages along with other error messages displayed on the screen. The infotainment screen consistently goes dark at random times, and I have to reboot the system to get it to turn back on. My door handle on the driver's side has broken, and I had to glue it back on. There is door handle recall work that has to be performed, and nothing has been done. I've been locked out of my car from the inside several times. When will these repairs take place?

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. My vehicle's braking system, particularly as it relates to its performance over rough terrain, has not yet been addressed even though we have attempted updates. I have experienced significant brake slippage and a loss of function, which poses a serious safety risk. As a responsible vehicle owner, I trust that my car should provide a reliable and safe driving experience, especially when navigating challenging conditions. The frequency of reports from fellow owners about their vehicles becoming undrivable after updates—between 2% and 5%—is alarming and prevents me from attempting the recall process again. Knowing that the update process can leave a car unusable for up to 48 hours, and that partial updates might require even more time, adds to my frustration. The statistics shared indicate that...

Cars door handles regularly don’t work locking me out of car and sometimes in car. Emergency breaking is regularly disabled by car for no apparent reason.
#11642316 |
This vehicle is subject to several recalls, but thus far I have been unable to get recall work completed. No service providers are nearby. Software updates that are supposed to be done over the air have never arrived. Significant safety issues, such as a potential problem with the door handles getting stuck, a coolant pump that will fail at any time and other issues remain unaddressed by the trustee appointed by the bankruptcy court to address outstanding recall work. The ADAs system constantly malfunctions, leaving some key features unavailable or unreliable.
#11642364 |
Fisker Inc has gone out of business. A mandatory recall has been issued and the bankruptcy court has assigned a trustee to ensure vehicles are updated to version 2.2 to address safety recall issues. The update to 2.2 has been extremely unpredictable and the trustee has not been able to complete this recall. I had to take private services and pay money to get software update done. Of the cars that were updated, like mine, almost immediately the estimated range has been drastically reduced. The cars were marketed as getting up to 360 miles on 100% charge. Since the recall update, they now get somewhere around 220 miles on a 100% charge. That’s more than 100 miles lost. I had a technician analyze it with approved Fisker software, and he found that the rear motor is now throwing “flux error codes” and not functioning properly. This is causing an electrical...

I received a notification for a recall for the water pump many months ago. To this day, the water pump has not been replaced. No one has reached out to me to set up the recall repair. I have tried to find local car repair shops, but they won't do it as it is part of a national recall. Also, the ADAS system is constantly malfunctioning, giving errors like collision warning not working, lane assist not working, blind spot monitoring not working. This has been a problem since I received the car. Adaptive cruise control has never worked. The braking system was supposed to be fixed with the 2.2 software update. It seemed to work for a few weeks, now the original problem is back where the braking regeneration turns off suddenly causing the car to lose control. This happens at random.
#11629542 |
Visual and audible warning messages occur randomly for these systems. I do not know if any, all or none of the messages I get should be acted on or ignored. This is distracting while driving. Also, the text for these messages is so small it’s hard to read.

Regarding the brake issue, it occurred twice recently: once on [XXX] while slowing down to turn into a plaza, and again on [XXX] when reversing out of my driveway. The car shook when the brakes engaged, which made me feel unsafe. This problem has occurred before and was previously fixed by a technician, but it has recurred. Additionally, my AC vent emits a loud whistle when the AC is turned on, my right driver-side rear mirror makes noise when locking and unlocking the car. Still waiting for my third work order. Passenger front door handle has stuck since new. I saw these have been closed. However Fisker has done nothing to fix the situation and now stuck with so far one door handle that is broken and can cause someone to be trapped in the car. Also random collision breaking and warning lights randomly cause driver interference while driving potentially causing an accident.

Brake pedal falling apart, door handles deteriorating, rfid not working, abs frequently not working, issues with side mirrors being stuck in while driving, contacted Fisker about side mirrors was resolved once with hard reset, still happens, no response from Fisker about brake pedal, door handles, rfid, or abs I’m scared to drive the car no one will get back to me about the issues to be repaired or for the car to be exchanged as these are continuous recurring issues

I received a recall notice from Fisker (the third one), this time regarding water pumps. It directed me to call a number that is not in service, to reach out to an authorized service provider (there are none in the USA), and to contact you if I was unable to get the water pump replaced. The company is in Bankruptcy and has done nothing to fix any of the recalls so far besides pushing a software update that itself is buggy and creates more issues. Can this company be forced to follow mandated recall procedures beyond sending out a notice that is useless and does nothing to address the issues? Again, there are ZERO authorized service providers and I have been informed by the Fisker Owners Association that there are not enough Water Pumps around to service the recalled vehicles. This is criminal activity and they should be held accountable...

Safety Recall Campaign TSB30032401 - Cabin Electric Water Pump NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499 Tried Contacting Fisker via telephone and number is disconnected. Submitted on-line service request although I have done this multiple times in past months and Fisker does not reply. Recall notice indicates the issue can create hazardous conditions due to not being able to keep pace with traffic or maneuver safely, thereby increasing the risk of a crash. Also aware of another recall regarding door locks where the vehicle locks and traps passengers/drivers inside. This could result in great bodily harm or death. Receive error message multiple times regarding breaking system malfunction & monitoring malfunction. Key fob works intermittently, all features of fob do not work. Vehicle turns itself off in traffic and unlocks all doors. Luckily, my vehicle restarted on those two occasions.

My vehicle has multiple recalls and was suppose to have a software update to fix "some" of the issues months ago. I have not received an OTA update and the cloud system is down so I will not be receiving said update. Further, people that DID receive this update prior to Fisker's cloud going down have reported multiple issues including their vehicle becoming bricked aka inoperable. It is an absolute joke that these care were EVER signed off on as road worthy. Someone is going to die as a result of putting these vehicle on the road before they were ready. Specifically I've had braking issues where the care accelerates on downhill slopes when the accelerator is not engaged. Numerous software warnings; my vehicle putting itself in Park while I'm idle at a stop light and then not going into gear. I had to exit the vehicle, lock it, and...

I have several service issues that were reported to Fisker starting with the day the vehicle was delivered. - locking/unlocking/ starting car issues - sensors continually providing error messages inaccurately - bumper distant control not working - windows not lowering in rear - interior lights randomly turning on - mudflaps missing - electric tow hitch never delivered - emergency braking system engaging erroneously - car going into park erroneously - navigation sometimes not working - car not charging properly - app not working - remote unlock/ lock feature sometimes not working - WiFi never enabled - charging credits never delivered

While stop at a traffic light, the car reverted from hold status to emergency parking. It did cause the driver behind me to stop on their brakes to avoid an accident. Luckily this happened at a dead stop and not while the car is in motion. I had to push the emergency brake switch and I cycle from drive and park few times to get the car moving again. Also, while backing up, the car did the same thing when put in reverse, it shifted to emergency parking and required pushing the emergency parking switch and cycling from park to drive to reverse to get moving again. No dealer had confirmed problems but it has occurred twice since purchasing car from dealer over a month ago. Many warnings lights every time car is driven 1.Brake system failed, needs service 2. Charge port door open. Even though it’s closed. 3. Front...

When breaking and going over a bump on the road, the breaking ceases to work and the car lunges forward. This is a consistent issue since obtaining the car in March and has almost caused accidents.
#11600933 | Crash
Reported faults with vehicles resulting in unintended reverse movement and an inability to move forward while in drive on a slight slope. Car would roll back even when the accelerator was nearly floored on a slight incline. Car was rolling backwards towards the edge of a cliff on a very narrow road despite multiple attempts of accelerating in drive. Reported and logged with company. Numerous counts of braking failure (unreliable regenerative breaking). Regen braking would give out unexpectedly multiple times even after software updates that were claimed by Fisker to fix the issue. This drastically impacts the braking ability of the car, safety and reliability. Regen braking inconsistencies and automatic emergency braking faults continued to occur. Aforementioned vehicle failures resulted in collision damage at low speed resulting in car being "totaled" in part due to lack of parts/service infrastructure.

I have several service tickets open for my Fisker Ocean One that have not been addressed, many going back over 3 months. 1 - the vents on my Ocean are malfunctioning. They were supposed to have been replaced before the car was delivered to me in October 2023, but they were not. 2 - the car has randomly put itself into park on several occasions while I've been driving. It has happened while I have been backing out of my driveway, stopped at a red light, or simply driving down the road. 3. I have experienced issues with the windows and sunroof not working, such as not rolling up or down. Sometimes I have to press buttons multiple times to get a window to close. Buttons only work sporadically. 3 - 8 days ago, I received an over the air update, as required for the last Ocean recall (for which...

The ADAS system has stopped functioning completely for about a week now. I've performed a "soft" and "hard" reset of the system and it did not fix it. I have no blind spot warnings, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, etc. I am part of many online groups and many others are stating the same problem.

While driving through my work area with a line of cars in both directions at 25 mph, my car has issued multiple Forward Collision Warnings and then applied the Automatic Emergency Braking, which suddenly releases. This has happened several times in the same situation, causing me to nearly hit the cars to my right because I was unable to control the vehicle. I am now afraid of using this car on the highway because I might have an accident if the Automatic Emergency Braking activates suddenly, thinking the car is close to an obstacle.
#11593723 |
numerous occasions of collision warning braking system activating, sometimes applying brakes, and sometimes just the warning. Alternatively, initial attempts of braking do not work, and only releasing the brake pedal and reapplying will initiate actual braking. Six examples with date, time, and location via maps pin have been provided to Fisker. They attempted to reset software once, but even as the problem persists ,they have not re-assessed the vehicle. most severe example listed below.

I just bought/got my Fisker Ocean Extreme, it barely had 500 miles on it. I have already had numerous issues with this car. Ex, emergency braking system, electrical, GPS, sensors, honestly you name it! The company has been of no help, I was on hold for 5 1/2 hours today. Only to hear from a robot telling me my call is important and that an agent (that never came) would be right with me. The cat also has ZERO capability of AC nor Heat at the moment. It’s well over 100° where I currently live with humidity. I can’t even drive my vehicle at the moment unless the temp outside is believe 80°. This is absolutely absurd. I tried to take the car back to the dealer, they explain that they don’t have any Fisker techs onsite nor do they know anything about the vehicle. HOW CAN YOU LEGALLY SELL...

Loss of braking occurs when either slowing down using regen braking or applying brakes if driving over uneven or rough pavement. For example going or railroad tracks. Lane keep assistance pulls car into turn while driving around on ramps. It should not pull you into turn of same direction. Blind spot warnings are intermittent and requires reset of software or pulling over and retarting car. Brakes have automatically been applied in situations that did not warrant aggressive braking. I pulled into my driveway with another car in front. While pulling up and parking going under 1-2mph, my fisker aggressively applied emergency braking.

The vehicle accelerates when foot is off accelerator and vehicle going over a small bump on road that causes the vehicle to lift a little. This lifting causes the vehicle to accelerate without warning. The accelerate is quite sudden and at high speeed. The ADAS system often malfunction. Emergency breaking has engaged on several occasions on low speeds. Lane keep system often malfunctions. Collison prevention system has issued warnings on numerous occasions when foot off accelerator and vehicle slowing down and at least 1/2 to 1 car length behind a vehicle.

The ADAS system has constant problems. However, on [XXX] 2024 all ADAS systems failed during a road trip to Jacksonville, Florida. I charged the car to 100% for the first time. All ADAS and the HVAC quit working. The car has had a repeated Ultrasonic Sensor Fault Warning nearly constantly every sense. In addition, the blind spot warning sometimes identifies cars and sometimes it does not. I have video of all of this. Multiple system warning lights come on at various times when driving the vehicle. These startle my wife and she is concerned with the safety of the vehicle. When she lifts her foot off the accelerator the brake and accelerator shimmy and move causing alarm that something is wrong. System says charging ports is randomly open while driving, the lane departure or blind spot detection is unavailable. None of the has been addressed since I cannot get anyone to contact me back to schedule a service appointment to even look at the car.

The 2 LCD screens that display all car data from speed to navigation to charging to safety features have all gone dark. My Fisker Ocean One only had 1485 miles on it when this screen failure occurred. I cannot tell how much change the car has. I cannot tell how fast I am driving.

FISKER OCEAN ONE ADAS is nonexistent and does not function! Automatic Emergency Braking does not function. Forward Collision Warning not functioning Parking Collision Warning not functioning Adaptive Cruise Control not functioning Lane Keeping Assistance rarely functions NOT Reliable Lane Departure Warning barely functions NOT Reliable Traffic Warning or Rear Cross Traffic Warning Does not exist Non Existent Vehicle is to have Radar assistant ADAS which did not work and still does not function and when it does continuously sends errors on the Fisker Ocean One vehicle Screen so driver must rely on there own to make sure they drive safe and not rely on what Fisker Ocean One is supposed to do or have for ADAS since nothing functions.

There has been 2 instances where the vehicle Automatic emergency system engaged abruptly, there was no immediate danger, the system thought there was something infront where there wasn’t. It was a hard brake that we almost crashed and hit our heads on the windshield, Fisker had not responded to several tickets submitted, their phone for support it’s not working our their chat

Fisker’s long-awaited 2.0 software update failed to correct the frequent failures of emergency braking and regenerative braking (ADAS features such as lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, forward facing camera are also regularly malfunctioning) two new problems presented themselves; the car will throw itself into park apparently when it registers a traffic light shift from red to green (as I have been waiting at a light all 4 times this has happened it puts me in danger of rear end collisions) and the downward motion of the brake in one instance was limited to about 1/2” meaning all braking I did was done in short quick choppy bursts. The pedal felt like it was pressing down on something stuck beneath it (there wasn’t anything there.) For this reason I have filed Lemon Law paperwork with an attorney in CA, a Better business Bureau complaint in CA and have leased a...

The regenerative braking doesn't work when I hit a bump. There is a bump that can't be avoided in my route to my house. Every single time, without fail, when I hit that bump my regenerative braking goes out and more stopping time is required for me. This is especially dangerous because this bump is near a traffic light. If I have to slam on my brakes to avoid running a light (which has happened a few times) I have very little stopping time available and have nearly rear-ended and/or ran a traffic light on accident due to this failure of the brakes. Additionally, when this happens and I press the brakes to help slow me down there is a "hiccup" feeling where it feels like neither the regenerative nor even the normal braking is working. This lasts for about 1.5 seconds.

My Fisker has had multiple issues from the beginning. Seat sensor does not allow you to shift the car into drive or reverse. I had to shake my butt to get it into gear. There are at times that when I drive it goes into park for no reason. When it comes to braking it does this skip feeling which is very alarming. ADA notifications are constantly alerting (pretty much daily) where Auto Emergency Braking, Blind Spot warning, Forward Collision Warning are not working on a daily basis, especially in rain and when the sun rises and sets - it is a constant distraction. So n a nutshell here are the major issues: - ADA alerts constantly - When braking there is skipping (not all the time but more so when you really have to quickly brake - Seat sensor in the seat - must shake your butt to get...

We have experienced a consistent issue on a local street by our elementary child's school. We have contacted Fisker no fewer than 5-6 times since December 2023 about this issue. Fisker has consistently stated that an upcoming over the air (OTA) software update would fix this issue. We are currently on OS 2.0 and the issue still persists. As the vehicle is going down a low grade hill towards a stop sign there is uneven pavement in the roadway. As we apply the brake petal on this uneven payment the Fisker Ocean One software gets confused and the car lurches forward as the ABS and emergency braking try to sort out the issue. Its very rattling as a driver to have this occur. Thankfully there hasn't been a car close enough in front of us or else we may have rear ended that vehicle. At times there is a crossing...

When driving and releasing the accelerator, the regen kicks in to slow the car and provide deceleration and regeneration. During this time, you can feel the brake pedal vibrate. When allowing regen to kick in and suddenly driving over a bump or uneven surface, the regen turns off, and thus, the car gets pushed forward suddenly as the part of deacceleration coming of the regen is not present. This ultimately translates into an increase in the stopping distance since the driver is under the assumption that the regen braking is going to be present. To compensate, when using the manual brake pedal, suddenly, the car responds by activating the ABS and momentarily continuing forward at a slightly faster speed for a few feet. In addition, with 2.0, it has been observed that the current braking is a mix of manual brakes and regen brakes. You can see while the system...

The most critical issue is a malfunction in the vehicle's regenerative braking system, which has caused the car to lurch forward unexpectedly during stop-and-go traffic on several occasions since I purchased . This sudden and unpredictable acceleration poses a clear risk of collision and injury to both the vehicle's occupants and other road users. Despite several attempts to have Fisker diagnose and repair this braking defect over the past six months, the issue persists, leaving me with a vehicle that is unsafe to operate in normal driving conditions. Fisker's inability to resolve this problem in a timely manner raises concerns about a potentially widespread defect affecting other 2023 Fisker Ocean vehicles. Compounding my concerns are the numerous warning messages that have appeared on the vehicle's dashboard, including "Auto Emergency Braking unavailable - Drive carefully" and "Brake system malfunction - Service is required." These alerts, combined with the actual performance issues...
