My car was bricked as a result of the OTA 2.2 update on [XXX]. This update was mandatory as it was what Fisker was doing to satisfy a recall. To try to remedy, I replaced the 12 v battery. I also followed online guides to get the High Voltage battery going again, as it was at 0%. I used a 25 amp and also a 40 amp 12 v charger attached to the battery, and this allowed the charge port to go to blue (from red) after 20 min attached to the 12 v charger. Once I attach the HV charger cable (I have tried both Level 1 and Level 2) the light blinks green as expected but then goes to red and fails after about 20 seconds. I finally got it fixed on [XXX] as the Fisker representatives were not able to resolve. I hired an ex-Fisker Tech, [XXX],...
I received a notice of a safety recall TSB30032401 (cabin electric water pump). the pump was part was supplied but i had to pay for labor to correct the safety recall as Fisker only supplied the pumps to authorized repair shops. My out-of-pocket expense was $231.88 This work was done on 11/18/2024
I request that compliance to Fisker Recalls be enforced due failure of Fisker (Bankrupt) , and its OTA team and trustee to pay for water pump recall service and to complete other required other recalls. I have paid out of pocket a service tech $200 for the water pump recall, , $175 plus $25 for mobile/travel fee. The trustees have not been responsive on how to get service or on reimbursements. The OTA team responsible for Software recall work has also been non-responsive. I have received a partial OTA update that does not include any of the components required by the recall work . Also after the bankruptcy , near my home in Arizona, Fisker FAST tools were being used to perform software recall work on cars being transferred to American lease. Fisker employees at the tempe site were unresponsive to have my vehicle updated. And then the Fisker FAST...
I have three separate issues. 1. When using the Ocean to tow with the OEM, installed from the factory, tow package, using the turn signals while braking will result in no turn signal indication when using a flat 4 adapter. 2. Range of the vehicle has dramatically decreased to the point where range is unpredictable in the Ocean OS 2.2 update. When we used to get over 300 mi of real range on 340 mi estimated, we can no longer get 200 mi on a charge. This can be startling and result in unforeseen out of power conditions while on the road. 3. I have been unable to obtain the recalled cabin water pump which can cause the car to go into limp mode. Shops in the area are quoting more than the advertised $170 that will be paid out for replacement.
There is a recall on the water pumps and have not heard how to get it fixed and drivers door handle not reading the key fob
multiple emergency alerts goes on at the same time, battery drains over night, the range has been dramatically dropped after softwar update 2.2. Tires wore off aroud 8K miles, Paid out of pocket for water pump recall and key/fob programming
Repair shops won't cover the door handle recall because it is too expensive and they are not being reimbursed from the trust. Water has gotten into the door handle so the NFC doesn't work. Water has gotten into the front bumper connections, so none of the following work correctly: Adaptive Cruise Control Automatic Emergency Braking Blind Spot Warning Forward Collision Warning Lane Departure Warning Lane Keeping Assistance Parking Collision Warning Rear Cross Traffic Warning Cruise control stops working randomly and car screeches to a halt. I have had to pay $50/mo for the FOA to put pressure on the update team to get 2.2. Most people still don't have it. American Lease is not cooperating with fixing the recalls.
The Fisker Owners Association was asked by the NHTSA to report on recalls that are needed for the 2023 Fisker Oceans. I own a Fisker Ocean One which needed a cooling pump recall, which I did have done and I have a receipt I can supply. The cost for the recall, which we we asked to report, was $250.00
Had to pay out of pocket for recalls of software to fix braking and water pump. Car was bricked with OTA update from manufacturer.
I have to pay for labor to replace the water pump and door handles because they are not releasing funds to cover repairs, as the court set up to be paid. The car has not been updated to the latest software, 2.2, to cover recall safety issues.
My Fisker Ocean still has the 2.0 software, which does not include recall updates. Most concerning is the brake system, which I experience regular "lurching" (MRN: TSB10062408). I will no longer drive the car unless necessary because of the safety concern. In addition to this safety issue, there are several issues that have gone addressed with no apparent recourse to do so, such as: defective AC vent controls, lights that go on randomly in the car, warning lights regularly making audio and visual warnings, key fob not recognized by the car (to start the car), and more. Although reporting the "incident" as today. Issues have been ongoing since the purchase of the car in October of 2023.
The car automatically brakes falsely, which should have been fixed in an OTA 2.2 recall but hasnt. The ADAS is constantly warning without needing to. It can give ADAS warnings while the car is parked. The car is near undriveable. The recall updates have been partial at best. NHTSA recall 24V865000 and 24V623000 have not been addressed and there's been no attempt to try and fix these issues.
My car has few safety recalls to be addressed but with the bankruptcy of Fisker, we do not have proper means, parts, and technician to perform the recall fix.
MY Ficker Ocean failed an over the air software update on [XXX]. The failure made my vehicle non drivable (could not shift out of Park). The car was parked in my garage for almost two months before a prior Fisker employee was able to look at it. Unfortunately they were not able to fix the software problem and requested I have the vehicle transported to an authorized service center 60 miles away. I paid $200 to have the vehicle flatbed transported to Riverside, CA service center where it sat for a week and could not be repaired. I paid $180 to have the vehicle flatbed transported to Newport Fisker in Costa Mesa where they were able to reinstall the proper software and make the car drivable. It cost me $1000 to have the software updated and the vehicle "unbricked". I picked up my now operational vehicle at the end of...
Vehicle is stuck in middle of the software update issued. I can't get assistance to fix without a FAST tool to which American leasing is not releasing to Fisker Owners Association or any other shop. Therefore, the recall update has not been completed. I had to pay $330 to have the recalled water pump replaced to which the DOJ stated customers aren't responsible for. I have left messages too. Ongoing intermitting braking conditions....
Post 2.2 installation to address current recalls, vehicle is experiencing a loss of range. Additionally, installation of the update permanently damaged the 12v battery which required a replacement that I had to pay for out of pocket. 2.2 install process has been inconsistent, and has bricked multiple vehicles.
The manufacturer was required by NHTSA to update the vehicle software to address critical safety issues. This effort was implemented through Over The Air (OTA) updates last fall. This software update was a very large and complex file and required the car to be "On" for the duration of the updates. This caused the 12 V battery to drain beyond capacity, and the update was only partial, resulting in a non-operating vehicle. In order to remedy this situation, a local technician was needed to manually install this update, resulting in an $800 charge directly to me for this mandatory recall. The technician was able to "unbrick" my car, as well as complete the software update to the NHTSA required software level of version 2.2. Even after this update, my car is unreliable, and has safety issues with warning lights in the dash. There were 3 critical recalles issues by the...
Fisker Inc has gone out of business. A mandatory recall has been issued and the bankruptcy court has assigned a trustee to ensure vehicles are updated to version 2.2 to address safety recall issues. The update to 2.2 has been extremely unpredictable and the trustee has not been able to complete this recall. Of the cars that were updated, like mine, almost immediately the estimated range has been drastically reduced. The cars were marketed as getting up to 360 miles on 100% charge. Since the recall update, they now get somewhere around 220 miles on a 100% charge. That’s more than 100 miles lost. I had a technician analyze it with approved Fisker software, and he found that the rear motor is now throwing “flux error codes” and not functioning properly. This is causing an electrical issue draining the batteries much quicker than they should be. I spent $200 for...
Inability to Schedule Recall Work + Lack of Availability I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Multiple attempts of this safety recall have been scheduled over the past several weeks for my vehicle, but the update has yet to be completed. As an owner who values safety and reliability, I am increasingly concerned about the unresolved safety issues that were supposed to be addressed with this software update. To date, I have been disappointed to learn that each week brings reports from fellow vehicle owners indicating that their cars have become undrivable following these updates, with a concerning failure rate of approximately 2% to 5%. This is unacceptable for any customer who relies on their vehicle for daily transportation. Additionally, the lengthy 48-hour windows during which our cars become unusable only exacerbate...

The contact called on behalf of an employer who owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the brake pedal failed to function as intended. The contact stated that when the brake pedal was depressed, the brake pedal pushed back the driver’s foot upwards. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The owner had received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V623000 (Service Brakes, Electric) and 24V404000 (Electrical System); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 8,000.
Just prior to my scheduled appointment for the recalled water pump replacement I received an email from Newport Fisker that they were unable to provide work free of charge due to a change imposed by the trustee. I decided to go ahead with my replacement, as I had a malfunction with the 12-volt battery that caused the car to go into limp mode after a full charge. I managed to get the car in gear long enough to get the car to Newport Fisker, where they were able to fix the problem (a loose connection) and swap out the recalled water pump. I also elected to have the 2.2 update done there, as the repair shop is 1.5 to 2 hours away from where I live, depending upon traffic, and I was unsure of the efficacy of an OTA update. I had received an OTA update a few weeks after...
There has been several safety recalls for my vehicle that was supposed to be fixed by software updates I cannot drve my vehicle, i have no access to service and no access to these updates
There are 4 open recalls on my vehicle, yet 0 (none) have been addressed. The Fisker Owners Association (FOA) has been trying there best, but I have some serious safety issues that need to be addressed. 1) I am still on 2.0 on the OTA software, 2.1 and 2.2 address 2/4 of the recalls, and was supposed to be installed by the end of the 2024, it was not. 2) The water pump on my car is part of th 3rd recall, if it fails my car becomes ‘bricked’ 3) My door handles are defective and 2 out of 4 do not open from the outside, this the 4th safety recall that has not been addressed. Help! what can I do to get these important safety issues addressd ?
Original key fob is no longer working. After the complete 2.2 update the range has dramatically dropped.
Vehicle was bricked due to faulty "GATEWAY MODULE" gateway module was fried due to software version 2.2 OTA download. Vehicle was constantly giving false ADAS warnings and also had issues with driver door NFC reader. I have spent $3,869.75 to install new gateway module and manual download of version 2.2 software. What remedy do I have to recover all or portion of money spent to rectify problems?
Fisker Inc has gone out of business. A mandatory recall has been issued and the bankruptcy court has assigned a trustee to ensure vehicles are updated to version 2.2 to address safety recall issues. The update to 2.2 has been extremely unpredictable and the trustee has not been able to complete this recall. I had to pay $450.00 to complete the software update. I will have to pay an additional $450 to have the water-pump replaced, plus drive 6 hours to closest service center to have the work done. After the software update almost immediately the estimated range has been drastically reduced. The cars were marketed as getting up to 360 miles on 100% charge. Since the recall update, they now get somewhere around 220 miles on a 100% charge. I have several recalls on this vigil that I have not been able to fix. NHTSA CampainNumber 24V499 Water Pump issue. The door handle issues. 12 volt battery going out several times. Brake and regenerative breaking issues.
1) I am Experiencing vehicle issues after recall work/updates for the AC the vents are not working 2) Had to pay out-of-pocket costs beyond stated reimbursement amounts (breakdown below)Water Pump, it was a recall and I paid for it,
Experiencing issues with water pump recall, 9 volt battery needing to be replaced due to recall work, door handle safety issues (the NFC on driver door does not work and vehicle will not open the door if remote is dead), I had to pay out of pocket for recall repairs
NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499000 Water pump replacement resulted in an out of pocket cost of $420 by an authorized shop NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V865000 OTA updates didn’t complete successfully, and rendered a few modules to stop working. NFC reader to open door stopped working and needs to be reinstalled. Vehicle lost exterior sound at low speed to warn pedestrians.
Car stopped in middle of the street and not moved. Totally dead
I have several recalls on this vehicle that have yet to be preformed due to lack of Fisker helping with the cost of recalled items.
I am writing to express concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update. As a responsible driver, I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. In addition per recall I had my water pump replaced. The only shop in my area with replacement pumps charged $283 in labor, see attached receipt. I understand that I may be able to reimbursed for up to $175 of this cost. However...

The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
On January 30, 2025, around 7 PM, my Fisker Ocean experienced a critical failure while parked at Ralphs Market in California. The 12-volt battery died, which completely disabled the vehicle's door locking and unlocking mechanisms, leaving me, my elderly mother, and my young son trapped inside for about two hours. There was no manual override option to open the doors or rear hatch from the inside. My mother, who had a triple bypass surgery three months ago, began feeling dizzy and distressed as we remained trapped. To minimize her stress, I asked everyone to stop talking until help arrived. Even more concerning was that multiple attempts to open the doors from outside also failed. The Uber driver, my son (who was outside), and AAA all attempted to open the doors, but none of them were successful. The door handles were in the "up" position, which should have indicated that the...
Good afternoon, I am filing another complaint per Jayson Winick's recommendation. Fisker had a number of recalls. When I tried to contact Fisker upon first receiving the notices, the company's e-mail and phone numbers became disconnected. Now, the company is bankrupt and there is no one at Fisker to fulfill the recalls that need to be completed on my vehicle. I'm most concerned about the recalls pertaining cooling units, braking issues and exterior door handles. I continue to face dangerous issues that remain unresolved. My A/C only works sporadically, especially dangerous with kids in the vehicle when it is hot. The brakes continue to give out and the vehicle lurches forward when braking when encountering uneven roads. And sometimes the exterior door handle seem to jam resulting in the door not being able to open. Currently, the Fisker Owners Association is running the show, but will not provide information on...

The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V499000 (Electrical System); and the vehicle was taken to the dealer for the recall repair; however, the dealer informed the contact that a cost would be charged because the manufacturer had filed for bankruptcy. The vehicle was repaired at the contact's expense. Additionally, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V623000 (Service Brakes, Electric); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the vehicle had not received an over-the-air (OTA) software update. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue because the manufacturer was unreachable. The contact had not experienced a failure.
As I was driving home from the grocery store, the car started to slow down and violently shook to a stop before shutting off. Thankfully, I could restart the car enough times, and the same experience happened every time so that I could make it home safely with my hazard flashers on. Once at home, the car didn't allow me to charge it from my garage and it has been a brick even after replacing the water pump, which I thought could have been the issue, but it was not.
There has been no OTA software updates issued to this date for my vehicle. I'm currently on 2.0 awaiting 2.2 update. Because of this I still have issues with braking, rolling while in park, and random and unexpected shutdowns of the vehicle while driving. Complete car system failure, recently when my car locked out the technician came out and replaced the 12v battery and clean out electrical connectors and still car doesn't start. I pressed the brake to wake/start the car and the car shuts down after trying to start. The wipers wipe a couple times while it boots up and then the car shuts off. The car is charged to 80% . THIS IS A VERY UNSAFE VEHICLE
UNKNOWN. Complete car system failure. Car is stuck in neutral, unable to shift gears to move. Service technicians have been unable to fix and per their description, the high voltage battery and the motor units are failing to connect/communicate.
Vehicle was on software version 2.0 which solely contributed to this problem. I had a front passenger tire have a catastrophic failure and blow out on me while driving, this causes the car to pull hard to the right, into a concrete wall. Compounding this problem was I let off the throttle and the regen braking never kicked in to slow the car down. Software version 2.0 was known to be flawed and cause excessive tire wear and regen braking issues, which is what I believe happened. The result of the crash was minor cosmetic flaws, but due to the inability to gather parts the insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. There have been several other occurrences of this happening and I believe the car is a serious safety hazard to those who drive it and others on the road.
