MILD TO EXTREME VIBRATION FROM REAR OF THE VEHICLE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE STEERING WHEEL SEATS AND GAS PEDAL AT ANY SPEED BUT WORSENS AS SPEED INCREASES. WAS TOLD AFTER MULTIPLE VISITS TO DEALER THAT EVERYTHING IS WITHIN SPEC. AND THEY WILL NO LONGER PURSUE THE ISSUE FURTHER. FILED LEMON LAW CLAIM AND WAS AWARDED COMPENSATION AND WAS ALLOWED TO KEEP THE VEHICLE. IN MY OPINION THE VEHICLE IS PROGRESSIVELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ON THE SAME SUBJECT THROUGHOUT MULTIPLE FORUMS (OVER 932 PAGES ON THE ONE I AM A MEMBER OF ALONE) AND WE ARE ALL BEING TOLD THE SAME LINE..FLAT SPOTS ON THE TIRES..WE DON'T WARRANTY TIRES. *TR
SPEEDOMETER AND ENTIRE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER STOPPED WORKING, WIPERS STARTED WORKING, TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT SHIFT. MESSAGE ON CLUSTER STATED TO GET WHERE YOU'RE GOING AND DON'T TURN ENGINE OFF OR IT MAY NOT RESTART. DRIVEABILITY WAS GREATLY REDUCED, POWER STEERING SEEMED TO BE LESS EFFECTIVE. ERROR AND WARNING MESSAGES FROM ALL THE ELECTRONIC MODULES FLASHED ON THE DRIVER DISPLAY IN SEQUENCE. DEALER STARR MOTORS OF SUFFOLK, VIRGINIA INDICATED THAT WITHOUT AN ACTIVE CONDITION THEY CANNOT TROUBLESHOOT AND REPAIR SO THEY SENT US BACK OUT ON THE ROAD WITH THIS VEHICLE. ERROR CODE U1817 IS DISPLAYED AS A NON-ACTIVE HISTORICAL DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE. HITTING A BUMP IN THE ROAD SEEMED TO TRIGGER MOMENTARY RETURN OF CLUSTER FUNCTIONALITY, WITH A RETURN TO NON-FUNCTIONALITY SHORTLY THEREAFTER.
WHILE DRIVING SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A LEFT TURN TURN COMPLETELY TURNED OFF. WHILE STILL IN DRIVE WAS ABLE TO GET TO THE SIDE OFF THE ROAD EVERYTHING WAS STILL ON A.C. SHUT OFF BUT POWER WAS STILL ON.
EVERY DAY WHEN DRIVING THE TRUCK FOR THE FIRST TIME. TRUCK HAS SAT FOR MORE THAN 5 HOURS AND IS COOL (70 DEGREES) AS I LEAVE MY COMMUNITY DRIIVING 25 MPH, I STOP AT THE FIRST STOP SIGN. ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING. ONE EVENT WAS WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT HIGHWAY APPROVED SPEED ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN THE VEHICLE'S POWER STEERING STOPPED OPERATING SUDDENLY IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ON A CURVE. THE VEHICLE WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO MANUALLY STEER TO A SAFE LOCATION IN TRAFFIC. NEXT TWO EVENTS HAPPENED AT THE START OF THE DAY SHORTLY AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE. A MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED ON THE PANEL "SERVICE POWER STEERING". THERE IS NO POWER STEERING FUNCTIONING WHEN THIS ERROR IS DISPLAYED. WITH EACH EVENT THE NEARBY SERVICE CENTER FOR THE MANUFACTURER HAS NEEDED TO KEEP THE VEHICLE MULTIPLE DAYS TO WORK WITH THE MANUFACTURER ON A SOLUTION. ON ANOTHER ISSUE THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE FORWARD OR REVERSE ON FIRST DELIVERY (WITHIN 100 MILES) AND AGAIN AROUND 2500 MILES. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT GO INTO GEAR AND NEEDED THE SERVICE CENTER...

WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT VEHICLE STARTED ACCELERATING WHILE BREAK PEDDLE WAS ENGAGED. VEHICLE CONTINUE ACCELERATING WITH HEAVY BREAK PADDLE APPLICATION. ACCELERATION CONTINUED TO THE POINT OF TIRE SCREECHING AND SMOKING MOVING VEHICLE INTO INTERSECTION. VEHICLE WAS STOPPED BY SHIFTING INTO NEUTRAL AND SHUTTING OFF VEHICLE. VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART TILL THIRD ATTEMPT. VEHICLE WAS THEN MOVED TO SAFE LOCATION AND TOWED TO DEALER. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN SHOP FOR 6 DAYS WITH NO RESOLUTION. INCIDENT OCCURRED IN A DOWNTOWN LOCATION WITH HEAVY VEHICLE, PEDESTRIAN, AND BICYCLE TRAFFIC. HAD IT BEEN AS LESS EXPERIENCED OR LESS ATTENTIVE DRIVE THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE PROVED FATAL. I PULLED IN TO GET GAS SHUT VEHICLE OFF AND PUMPED GAS GOT BACK IN VEHICLE STARTED IT UP PUT VEHICLE IN DRIVE AND IT GOT REALLY LOUD AND STARTED SHIFTING BAD
WHEN SLOWING DOWN FROM A HIGHER SPEED TO COASTING (LET OFF GAS LET SLOW DOWN), I HAVE A HARSH VIBRATION/NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR END, TO THE POINT IT SHAKES THE SEATS, CONSOLE, AND EVEN THE DOOR PANELS. THE VIBRATION DOES NOT LAST BUT A COUPLE OF SECONDS AT A TIME USUALLY A SPEED OR TWO. TOOK TO THE DEALER THEY REPLACED THE VIBRATION ACTUATORS ON THE VEHICLE (NO CHANGE) , REPLACED THE CARRIER IN THE REAR DIFF (NO CHANGE) TOOK BACK TO DEALER BUT HAVE BEEN BEING BLOWN OFF. THE VIBRATION CAN HAPPEN ON ANY STREET AT ANY TIME, WHEN EVER IT FEELS LIKE DOING IT. I CALLED THE RECALL NOTIFICATION HOTLINE ON 26 SEPTEMBER 2019 AND MADE THE APPOINTMENT FOR 30 OCT 2019 ONLY TO HAVE AN INCOMPETENCE AND UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON CALL ME ON 29 OCTOBER 2029 AT THE END OF THE BUSINESS DAY SAYING THAT THEY WERE CANCELING MY APPOINTMENT. DURING NORMAL DRIVING OF VEHICLE WHEN COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, RELEASING THE BRAKE WITHOUT APPLYING ANY GAS WILL PRODUCE A "BUMP" OR A SLIGHT "JERKING" FORWARD. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME BUT HAS BEEN HAPPING SINCE PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE IN MANY TIMES TO REMEDY THE SITUATION THAT INCLUDED, UPDATING OF SOFTWARE AS WELL AS THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION WHICH STILL HAS HAD NO EFFECT. THERE ARE NUMEROUS CUSTOMERS THAT HAVE DOCUMENTED THIS VERY ISSUE WITH THE RAM PRODUCT THAT INCLUDE MANY YEARS/MODELS HOWEVER IT SEEMS THAT THIS VERY ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED NOR DOES IT SEEM LIKE IT WILL BE RESOLVED ANY TIME SOON. 2019 RAM WITH 13,000 MILES. AFTER MY FIRST ENGINE OIL CHANGE AT 10,000 MILES CONDUCTED BY THE RAM DEALERSHIP. DURING NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS IN THE STREET AND IN THE HIGHWAY WHILE IN MOTION I FEEL THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING, LIKE IT TAKES A COUPLE OF SECONDS TO FULLY ENGAGE. THE TRUCK IS NEW AND IS HAPPENING DAILY. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A MANUFACTURE DEFECT THAT NEEDS TO BE REMEDIED IMMEDIATELY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
I FEEL A KNOCKING SENSATION EITHER WHEN I APPLY THE BRAKES OR GAS AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE. IN MY OPINION, IT FEELS LIKE EITHER THE TRANSMISSION OR DRIVE SHAFT ARE SLIPPING. THIS HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY TIME I DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN THE CITY AND USUALLY WHEN STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT OR SIGN.
DRIVING IN CITY TRAFFIC 45MPH AND LOST POWER WITH ENGINE RUNNING AND RACED UP BUT TRUCK WOULDN'T MOVE. ON A BRAND NEW 2019 DODGE RAM 1500 WITH LESS THAN 200 MILES ON IT, WHEN SHIFTING FROM PARK TO DRIVE, WITH THE TRUCK STATIONARY, THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT ENGAGE RIGHT AWAY, BUT SUDDENLY ENGAGES AT 1,000 OR HIGHER RPM AND RAPIDLY LUNGES FORWARD. THIS IS AN ELECTRONIC SHIFT TRANSMISSION SO IT APPEARS THAT DESPITE THE VEHICLE SHIFT INDICATORS BOTH SHOWING THE TRUCK IS IN "DRIVE" AND READY TO MOVE FORWARD, IT IS NOT ACTUALLY SAFELY READY TO MOVE FORWARD. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SINCE THE SUDDEN LUNGING OF THE TRUCK MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL AND COULD EASILY CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH IN ANY CROWDED AREA, SUCH AS A PARKING LOT OR URBAN STREET.
ENTERPRISE RENTAL - WHILE DRIVING ON A BUSY CITY FREEWAY, THE PICK UP TRUCK LOST ALL IT'S SPEED AS IF TRANSMISSION SWITCHED FROM (DRIVE) TO (NEUTRAL). THIS OCCURRED AT APPROXIMATELY 1,180 MILES (ODOMETER), AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE LEFT LANE (FAST LANE) GOING AROUND 75/80 MPH THE VEHICLE'S RPMS SPED UP TO 5000/6000 WHILE THE SPEEDOMETER SHOW THE VEHICLE SLOWING DOWN AS THE PICK UP TRUCK LOST IT'S SPEED. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED MY EMERGENCY LIGHTS ON AS I ATTEMPTED TO PULL OVER ONTO THE LEFT SHOULDER. I ALSO PROMPTLY REALIZED THAT THE RPMS WERE AS HIGH DUE TO MY FOOT STILL RESTING ON THE ACCELERATOR, I ALSO CHECKED THAT THE PICK UP TRUCK'S GEAR WAS STILL LIT UP AS (DRIVE) - AND I CONFIRMED THAT IT STILL WAS, BUT THE PICK UP TRUCK WAS NOT RESPONDING. WHEN I TRY TO PUT MY NEW TRUCK IN GEAR (STATIONARY) THE TRANSMISSION SEEMS NOT TO SLIDE INTO DRIVE AND THE TRUCK JUST SITS THERE. I'VE CHECKED THE BRAKES AND AL THE DIGITAL STUFF AND NOTHING IS HOLDING THE TRUCK BACK, IT'S JUST NOT CLICKING INTO GEAR. THEN, WHEN I APPLY A LITTLE PRESSURE TO THE ACCELERATOR, THE ENGINE REVS UP A BIT AND THE TRUCK LURCHES INTO GEAR. SOMETIMES, IT'S HARD TO KNOW WHEN THE SURGE/LURCH IS COMING, HIN I HAVE MAKES THIS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. THE ENGINE IS RUNNING AND THE TRUCKS SHOWS THAT IT'S IN GEAR, SO IT'S NATURAL TO HIT THE GAS AND GO. THE LAG AND LURCH IS HARD TO DETECT UNTIL THE WHOLE VEHICLE CONVULSES. VEHICLE OCCASIONALLY STICKS IN PARK WHEN YOU PUT IT IN DRIVE. IT RELEASES WHEN THE RPMS RAISE ENOUGH TO OVERPOWER WHAT IS HANGING. THIS CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO LUNGE FORWARD ONCE WHATEVER IS HANGING IT IS OVERPOWERED BY THE INPUT RPM'S, THE NATURAL RESPONSE WHEN YOU PUT IT IN DRIVE IS TO HIT THE GAS. IF YOU ARE NOT EXPECTING THIS TO HAPPEN, YOU CAN IMAGINE THE POTENTIAL RESULT. AT LEAST ONE PERSON (MANY HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN) HAS CLAIMED THAT IT OCCURRED IN HIS GARAGE WHILE HIS WIFE WAS CROSSING IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE NEARLY PINNING HER BETWEEN THE VEHICLE AND THE GARAGE. WHILE DRIVING DOWN A CURVY RURAL ROAD, MY VEHICLE LOST ALL THROTTLE CONTROL. I ALMOST WRECKED AND HAD TO STOP AT THE "EXIT" OF A BLIND 55MPH CORNER. 2019 RAM LARAMIE GEAR SELECTOR WILL SHOW DRIVE AND NOT MOVE UNTIL THE RPM IS @ 2000 AND THEN SLAM INTO GEAR. THE TRANSMISSION FAILED WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE VEHICLE COASTED TO A STOP AND BECAME IMMOBILE. THE POLICE AND OTHERS ARRIVED BUT NOBODY COULD MOVE THE TRUCK UNTIL THE TOW TRUCK ARRIVED.
PARK TO DRIVE SHIFTING PROBLEM. TRANSMISSION AND INDICATORS GO TO FROM PARK TO DRIVE, HOWEVER VEHICLE DOES NOT MOVE. TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM YOU MUST PLACE THE VEHICLE IN REVERSE, THAN INTO DRIVE. IF YOU HIT GAS WHEN IT IS STUCK VEHICLE DOES NOT MOVE, THEN WILL LUNGE FORWARD AAT AN UNSAFE SPEED. VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 80 MILES HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS
THE TRUCK WAS BACKED UP IN THE DRIVEWAY.WHEN SHIFTING FROM PARK TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN PARK AND THE ENGINE REVVED UP. TRIED AGAIN AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED EXCEPT AS THE RPM'S WERE COMING DOWN THE TRANSMISSION JUMPED INTO GEAR AND THE TRUCK LUNGED FORWARD WITHOUT WARNING.

HAVING SAME PROBLEMS AS SEVERAL OTHER BUYERS.... I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE AND HAD IT BUILT IN DEC OF 2018. SINCE THEN, I HAVE EXPERIENCED 10 OR MORE INSTANCES OF WHERE I PUT THE VEHICLE IN D (DRIVE) AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE. I RETURNED TO P (PARK) AND THEN BACK TO D, AND IT STILL WON'T MOVE. I TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON, AND THEN PROCEED TO PUT IT IN D, AND SOMETIMES IT WILL THEN MOVE. IN ALL CASES, I WAS ON FLAT PAVEMENT / BLACK TOP. OCCASIONALLY, WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STARTED AND SHIFTED FROM PARK TO DRIVE, THE TRANSMISSION WILL NOT ENGAGE AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE FORWARD. SHIFTING BACK TO PARK AND THEN DRIVE AGAIN DOES NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE. IF THE GAS PEDAL IS PRESSED WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN DRIVE, THE VEHICLE WILL SUDDENLY DROP INTO GEAR AND THE CAR WILL DANGEROUSLY SURGE FORWARD. THIS HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES SO FAR ON A VEHICLE WITH ONLY 500 MILES. THIS SEEMS TO BE A RECURRING ISSUE WITH OTHER 2019 RAM 1500 OWNERS AS THERE ARE FORUM POSTS AND COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE ALREADY. I ALSO HAVE A VIDEO OF THE ISSUE OCCURRING.
WHEN THE TRUCK IS PUT INTO "D" DRIVE FROM PARK, IT WILL NOT MOVE. SOME TIMES IT WILL DO IT IN "R" REVERSE. IF YOU PUSH ON THE GAS PEDAL ENOUGH IT WILL LUNGE FORWARD ABRUPTLY. IN SOME CASES VERY ROUGH. DEALER AND FCA ARE ACTING LIKE THEY NO NOTHING ABOUT THIS.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 RAM 1500. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A GARAGE, THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE AND IT INDEPENDENTLY ACCELERATED BACKWARDS. THE CONTACT ENTERED THE VEHICLE IN AN ATTEMPT TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT NOTED THAT THE VEHICLE DID NOT DRIFT BACKWARDS, BUT INDEPENDENTLY ACCELERATED RAPIDLY BACKWARDS OUT OF THE GARAGE OF THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT WAS NEARLY SMASHED IN BETWEEN THE FRONT DRIVER'S DOOR AND A STONE PILLAR. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S DOOR AND THE FRONT FENDER WERE DAMAGED DUE TO BECOMING CAUGHT ON THE GARAGE PILLAR, WHICH BENT BACKWARD AND STRUCK THE FRONT FENDER OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO THE DRIVE POSITION AFTER THREE ATTEMPTS. THE CONTACT REFERENCED THE "SAFE-HOLD" SYSTEM, WHICH WAS A FEATURE OF THE ELECTRONIC PARK SYSTEM THAT FAILED TO AUTOMATICALLY ENGAGE THE VEHICLE...
ON FIVE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR. IN EACH CASE I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN OR RED LIGHT AND MAKING A LEFT TURN. UPON STARTING UP AND TURNING, THE TRANSMISSION REMAINED IN FIRST GEAR, MOTOR REVVING 4,000 - 4,500 RPM OR SO, UNTIL I REALIZED I HAD A PROBLEM. I LIFTED MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR AND LET THE TRUCK SLOW DOWN, IT WAS STILL IN FIRST GEAR, ALMOST CAME TO A FULL STOP, TRIED TO SLOWLY ACCELERATE BUT STILL NO SHIFT. /PURCHASED NEW 2019 RAM 1500 LIMITED . TOOK DELIVERY 08/30/2018 AND DINT GET OFF THE LOT DUE TO VEHICLE ACCELERATING ON ITS OWN AND THEN MULTIPLE SAFETY LIGHTS CAME ON. SERVICE THEN ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR BY REPLACING THROTTLE PEDAL ASSEMBLY DUE TO THROTTLE VOLTAGE CODE. PICKED UP TRUCK 09/06/2018 AND WHILE DRIVING 09/07/2018 JUST OVER 24 HRS LATER TRUCK THEN STARTED ACCELERATING ON ITS OWN IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC NEARLY CAUSING SEVERE ACCIDENT.
