The contact stated that she lived in an area with a lot of fog, and after activating the defroster and driving at an undisclosed speed, the rear driver’s side window shattered. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a possible small fracture that could allow moisture to intrude and shatter the glass. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: 23-098-23. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW WAS LEAKING WATER INTO THE HEADLINER AND ALSO NEARBY THE AIR BAG SYMBOL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LESTER GLENN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT (1199 NJ-37 W, TOMS RIVER, NJ 08755) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A MANUFACTURING DEFECT WITH THE REAR WINDOW. AN APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OPENED A CASE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 24,800.
