Hello! I have had my 2019 RAM 1500 for 5 years now. I have called RamCare many times trying to get my problems resolved and they just keep saying my truck is not under the recalls. Both problems I have are exactly what the recalls are AND my manufacturing date on my truck shows that they SHOULD be covered, but for some reason the recall isnt attached to my truck VIN. 1: Cracked back window sliding frame. It is cracked in the EXACT spots thst show on the recall and my back window let's water leak in. 2: Tailgate opens on its own from being misaligned. Both have recall bulletins out that my truck 100% falls under, but for some reason, the recalls aren't attached to my VIN. I have called the dealer a few different times trying to get this resolved and they have still be unable to get...
Rear back glass frame is not sealed and the water is getting in truck doing cold morning the windshield get so much condensation witch would freeze inside the cabin soaking the dash and floor front and rear all coming from the problem of the back glass the frame that surrounds the glass has fracture point , warranty won't cover the repairs needed
2019 ram 1500 big horn rear back lite leak. Anytime it rains it pours from the frame where it has developed two cracks on either side of the power sliding window. Dealer states it needs replaced after resealing the window and the 3rd brake light. Dealer states Ram will not pay for the replacement even though there is an extended warranty for 8 years or 150k miles on the backlite. I have opened a case with customer care...all they do is mediate between you and dealer they have no access to TSB bulletins or service records. TSB bulletin located on NHSTA site states replacement. Dealer states they only reseal and that the one I can see is outdated. Dealer wrote on last service record that the backlite needs replaced. Note: there is a electronic hub located behind the seats. Also, potential mold growth as the vehicle has a persistent musty...
I am experiencing the EXACT same problems with my truck as recall 22V904000 (ZB8). Dodge refuses to make the repair under the recall. Dodge claims my VIN# is outside the recall range. But...I am experiencing the exact same problems associated with the recall. Please tell Dodge to extend the recall to my vehicle. Thank you.
Back lite(back glass) frame cracked and leaking
Issue with rear door not latching closed when temperatures are below freezing. When attempting to close the door it will just bounce back open. I had to use a ratchet strap to keep the door closed while driving home. Vehicle was taken back to dealership who verified the issue and replaced door latch. Issue occurred again after new latch when left in freezing temperatures. Online research shows numerous people having the same issue and it could be related to water/moisture getting inside the door and freezing in a U shape bend in the door latch cable.
Tail Gate does not always latch prperly. when closing the tail gate it appears closed but if you look carefully you can see a gap and if you push on the tailgate you can feel movement, Tail gate has to be reopend and slamed to close it. There is no warning indication that the tailgate is not fully latched
2 cracks by the back sliding glass window, water seeps in and get on the head liner and in cabin causing water to get all over.causing damages.
2 cracks near the rear sliding glass window allows water in the cabin. As a result, there is visible water damage on the headliner.
The side view mirror motors/gears malfunction and intermittently fail to hold the mirrors in position when driving after the have been folded in them back out, either manually or electronically.
Only 65000 miles I wash everytime all the truck undercarriage is rust easy especially the oil pan in the engine. And I check too many people make complaints about the oil pan. Now my oil pan is crack and rust and it's $3000 to fix its insane. 4 years and gone. Car value over $45000.
The rear backlite leaks causing water to drip into the rear of the vehicle from the back of the cab or the headliner. The water leak caused the RF module to short out. This caused the vehicle to unexpectedly turn off while driving in the middle of the road. Luckily this happened in the evening hours on a suburban road, but it is a MAJOR safety risk should this occur on a highway. The Dealer has confirmed the leak and the shorted out RF module. Prior to the vehicle stopping in the middle of the road, the vehicle cycled through Off, ACC, and Run and the vehicle would not turn off when I tried to park it earlier the same day.
This truck has a serious safety issue that FCA is ignoring. The exhaust manifolds/bolts are faulty and leak exhaust gas into the cabin of the vehicle causing all passengers to be subjected to high levels of carbon monoxide and exhaust gases. This poses a serious safety hazard for bother drivers and passengers of all vehicles on the road. The company has been aware of the exhaust manifold issue affecting Ram trucks for years yet when this truck experienced a known problem the consumer (me) is still burdened with paying over 900 per side to get each manifold repaired and replaced. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially when both sides just fail like my truck did at the same time. I can’t sell it it’s not safe to drive. I can’t afford to fix it and it ain’t worth anything to trade in due to this known issue. Please help!!
Leak in third brake like that and/or from rear vents. MANY other complaints online of same issue. Allowing water in causes mold and possible breathing issues.
Rear Window seal and Fin on top of roof failed causing large amounts of water to enter the car cabin flooding the floor around electrical components under passenger seat area and elsewhere,Floor was sopping wet many times before I found out there was a rear window problem.I fear since I live in tropical Florida Mold may be growing under my carpet ,plus we had a bad smell like nasty old cigars in the cabin when we get in ,No one smokes in my family..I took it to the dealer for repair who stated yes we know about it ,it is a common problem and we can fix it but it is not covered under warranty,I paid $183.84 to have the dealer repair my leaks as I was concerned about a fire from electrical wires shorting out. After they fixed it there repair causes water to flow from the dirty roof down...
The persistent water leakage issue in my vehicle, which has been ongoing for an extended period. Water pooling under the left rear seat, even seeping beneath the mat. This not only poses a serious inconvenience but also raises concerns about potential damage to the vehicle's interior and electronic components. Please see attached document from the dealership.
The dashboard on the 2019 Ram 1500 Limited has a problem with the leather dash covering becoming separated from the dashboard itself bubbling up. Besides looking horrible, this may cause a safety issue with the airbag deployment from the dashboard. I was told that people have been able to get their dashboard repaired because of that reason but not just for the bubbling up of the leather from the dash which RAM tells you isn't even covered by their warranty on a $67,000 vehicle which sounds unacceptable. I know there are a lot of complaints about the RAM dash leather delamination issue where it separates from the substrate.
I HAVE WATER ENTERING THE CAB BY THE UPPER BRAKE LIGHT AT THE BACK OF THE CAB. THE WATER IS MAKING WATER STAINS ON THE HEAD LINER AND THE WATER IS SATURATING THE AIR CURTAINS ABOVE THE REAR WINDOW. IT IS ALSO MAKING THE FLOOR WET AND THE ELECTRICAL WIRES AND COMPONENTS ON THE FLOOR. I ALSO HEAR AIR LEAKS AROUND THE DOOR SEALS WHEN I AM DRIVING ENTERING CURVES AND TURNS. IT SEEMS LIKE THE CAB, OR DOORS SHIFT BREAKING THE DOOR SEALS ALOWING AIR TO ENTER. I BOUGHT IT USED WITH 46775 MILES ON IT IT CURRENTLY HAS 54465 MILES ON IT. SOMETHING IS DEFINETLY WRONG. I HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM.
While parking the tailgate opens, when I closed it and tried to open it the electronic tailgate handle would not unlock to open 10/25/2023. When parked overnight tailgate opens 10/25/2023. While driving on Interstate the tailgate opens and I almost caused an multiple car accident, I parked at idle closed tailgate tried to reopen and it would not unlock, I drove off and it dropped again 10/26/2023. At Chapman Chrysler Dodge Jeep 89014, I parked in the service drive informing the service advisor something is wrong with my tailgate, and it dropped in-front of the advisor, he closed it and tried to open it and it wouldn’t open, while he was making my appointment it dropped again 10/27/2023. I have contacted the FCA Recall Spoke to Delroy he said my vehicle wasn’t part of the recall, and with 23,534.5 miles it was out of base warranty, he said I have...
Failure point - Cracked back glass frame and gasket which allowed water to leak into the cab and onto the radio frequency module causing it to corrode. When raining the vehicle started on its own while I was sitting inside it. While driving to the mechanic the vehicle wouldn’t shift out of first gear. While driving multiple service systems lights came on along with service airbag system warning. The issue was confirmed by the dealership. The dealership replaced the failed parts along with the third break light for no apparent reason. There was never a mention of there being issue with it. Warning lamps were on however the lamps wouldn’t stay on due to the electrical issue.
Rear window assembly is leaking water into the interior when it rains or going through car wash.
There is a presence of a moldy smell in the car. After closer visual inspection, rear window frame had cracked in two spots allowing water from outside to get in and go behind the rear seats, making a carpets wet which produces the mold. Water also getting onto electrical systems like radio amplifier and rear seat ventilation making them corrode. There is no way an owner can find a problem under normal conditions making car occupants inhale harmful mold. This is a safety hazard and a common problem of a 5th gen Ram 1500.
Tailgate opening randomly going down the road.
My 2019 Ram truck has less than 41,900 miles on it.I drove it Thursday morning, but then was stranded. The vehicle wouldn’t unlock, lock, or start. Upon entering using the manual key, the vehicle wouldn’t recognize my key fob. My second key fob would not work either. I called a locksmith to see if he could reset the computer, but he couldn’t. So I called a tow truck. After giving them $100, the dealer couldn’t look at it for several days. Meanwhile I’m stranded without a vehicle. Luckily not in the remote wilderness. My truck sat for a week. The dealer called and said the RF Hub was bad. The RF Hub controls everything from the key fobs, ignition, alarm, brakes, door locks, all electronics, etc. $605 now paid to the dealer for them to replace this RF Hub that is mounted on the back wall of the cab under the rear...
The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the passenger side dashboard had started to delaminate; over time, the delamination began to spread to the driver side. The contact stated that a crack had formed over passenger side dashboard and expressed concern that the delamination may cause the air bags to not deploy in the event of a crash. The dealer noticed the failure on his last visit and an appointment was made to inspect the failure The manufacturer was notified of the failure and he was given a case number. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
Inside the truck I have located a crack in the rear window. The crack is in both sides of the sliding rear window and now leaks. I’m sure overtime this can damage in the interior which may damage seats and or the body of the vehicle. My vehicle is out of warrants and apparently they won’t cover this. Major defect, websites easily accessible with the same issue I have encountered.
My name is [XXX]. I purchased a 2019 ram limited about three months ago. I noticed every time it rains. The rear of my roof has water stains. And my rear window leaks water. I have pictures and videos to show proof. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
Back glass has crack in frame around sliding glass window. Water is leaking into the truck from crack and causing back seat, carpet, ceiling liner and airbags in the ceiling liner to get wet.
Rear window, third brake light & sxm antenna all leak into the cab.. Not covered under warranty. All ram trucks have this issue. Should be recalled
The back window is leaking water. Possibly from 3rd brake light or the back window seal. Dealership said factory warranty has expired but have extended warranty on it. They won't cover the replacement window seal because they deemed it has routine maintenance. Back seat and floor are soaked. Truck is 4 years old. They want me to pay for all the repairs. From my understanding this year and model of truck had numerous complaints about this issue for years.
The truck has problems with electrical on and off. Today because driver assistance sensors did not work I got into a wreck.
My sunroof exploded and sprayed shards of glass all over the inside of of the truck and passengers.
Rear window area not sealing properly from issues with body causing water to leak into the cabin. This is causing mold growth, electrical shorts and possible fires. There are hundreds of trucks dealing with this issue discussing this via online forums. Many are breaking the rear windows just to have insurance fix it, some are slapping silicone everywhere to stop the leaks.
Known manufacturer defect in rear sliding window plastic frame that cracks and allows water to enter into the rear cab of the truck. This leads to wet seats, headliner and carpet. If undetected or not corrected this could lead to mold growing behind the rear seats. This also is causing rust on the bolts that hold the rear seat in place. It also affects the various electronic controls that reside behind the rear seat. If those controls short out and sizable the truck while it is traveling down the highway this could lead to a fatality. The FCA is NOT repairing is issue after the 3 year/36,000 mile warranty or if the vehicle was purchased (and registered in Canada and then resold in the US).
Water leaks on roof that stain interior head liner over rear window that also may affect rear curtain air bags.
The Rambox door randomly pops open fully while going down the road allowing items stored in the Rambox to come out of the compartment while traveling down the road. This poses a severe risk to the vehicles following behind my vehicle. I brought the truck in for service and was told that this is not a safety recall, which is incredulous to me. I was told that the cause of the failure was a remote switching device in the B pillar, which is obviously nothing that has been damaged by my use. Since this started happening to me, I have heard of two other drivers of trucks with the Rambox with this same incident. I believe both of those vehicles were 2020 Dodge trucks. This has happened multiple times to me, and they want over $400 to fix it!
Water leaking into roof from unknown source. Creating musty smell (mold). Concerns are: 1. Mold risk to consumer health. 2. Airbags/sensors being affected by water infiltration. 3. Potential electrical hazards associated with water infiltration.
The plastic frame at the top of the rear back glass has two cracks causing significant leaking into the cab of the vehicle.
Rear window structure frame cracks prematurely causing structural damage due to water leaking through into the cab of the truck. This defective backlite by RAM 1500 has been leaking causing the rear window visibility to be affected by fogging up too easily and water dripping through the windows frame on to the inside of the window, also the vehicle is equipped with a battery pack behind the rear seat and if left to get wet will cause failures and damage to vehicle electrical system. The vehicle has been inspected and confirmed by the Ram certified dealership. Manufacture has been informed of this ongoing issue and has issued prior TSB cases for this defect. No prior issues with rear window prior to noticing the faulty cracked window frame. It appears this has been happening to several ram 1500 from years 2019-2022 this should not be happening on a like new 2...
The key fobs would not work to unlock or start the vehicle. After two weeks with the Woodland, CA Hoblit dealership, it was determined that two cracks in the rear windshield led to electrical damage under the backseat where the key fobs connect to an electrical sensor. This caused the truck to be non-operational and requiring it to be towed. According to the dealership, they have now seen three recent cases of the same cracks in the rear windshield. When it rains heavy, more of these trucks will no longer become operational. If this went out while driving, the vehicle would not be able to operate, causing an unsafe situation for all drivers on the road. There was no warning. It rained and the cracks were not noticed as they blend into the design of the rear windshield.
Water leaking through the rear window. Headliner gets wet when it rains and when the truck gets washed leaving a smell after it dries. Dealer was notified about a year ago.
Parked, sprayed windshield with washer fluid, liquid streamed down inside of windshield (leak) in three separate locations.
Tailgate unlocks and opens on its own while driving.
Water is leaking into the cab of the truck from the back window. Took the vehicle to dodge and they stated it was an issue with the window and seal and it shouldn't have failed like this. Declined warranty because it isn't covered past 12k miles. Customer service via phone call on 5-17-21 stated windows are similar to brakes and windshield wipers as they wear out and that makes it not a manufacturers issues. The water damage is severe and causes a moldy smell and could comprise the live wires in the third brake light. There was no warnings and there isn't anything caused by the user. This seems to be a known problem that others have reported to the nhtsa and on message boards monitored by Dodge Inc. Seat belts by the water damage had to replaced as they were locking up randomly causing child restraint to get too...
CRACKED REAR WINDOW TRIM WHERE THE WINDOW OPENS, DAMP HEADLINER NEAR THE CRACKED TRIM AREA.
MY BACK WINDOW TRIM IS CRACKED AND HAS STARTED LEAKING BELOW THE CRACKED AREA. 21K MILES AND IT JUST HAPPENED.
REAR WINDOW SEAL IS CRACKED IN TWO SEPARATE AREAS ROUGHLY 12 INCHES APART ALLOWING WATER TO GET IN. THE HEADLINER ABOVE REAR WINDOW HAS WATER DAMAGE.
I AM WANTING TO FILE A CLAIM ON A 2019 RAM 1500 FOR A DEFECTIVE REAR WINDOW. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT FCA HAS REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE OR RESOLVE. THE REAR WINDOW FRAME IS WEAK AND CRACKS AROUND THE REAR SLIDING GLASS. WITH THESE CRACKS, THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR WATER TO LEAK INTO THE CAB OF THE VEHICLE. THERE ARE ALSO ISSUES WITH CRACKS AND LEAKING AROUND OTHER AREAS OF THE REAR WINDOW FRAME. THIS MAY BE DUE TO A FAULTY SEAL WHEN MANUFACTURED. MY FEAR IS THAT THIS WILL CAUSE MOLD TO DEVELOP BEHIND AS WELL AS ON MY REAR SEATS CAUSING POTENTIAL HARM TO NOT ONLY MY VEHICLE, BUT MYSELF AND FAMILY. I ALSO DO NOT WANT POTENTIAL DAMAGE TO IMPORTANT ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS THAT ARE LOCATED BEHIND AND UNDER THE REAR SEAT. MY TRUCK IS OUT OF WARRANTY, AND I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ISN'T MUCH FCA WILL...
I HAD NOTICED THAT THE REAR WINDOW ON THE DRIVERS SIDE WOULD LEAK A SMALL DRIBBLE OF WATER AFTER A CAR WASH OR A HEAVY RAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT MOVING AT THE TIME OF DISCOVERY. I TOOK MY TRUCK INTO MEADOR CDJR IN FORT WORTH TX AND THEY REMOVED AND REPLACED THE REAR SEAT AND REAR WINDOW. THEY INSTALLED A NEW WINDOW SEAL AND REPLACED THE REAR SEAT. THEY COVERED THIS AS A WARRANTY ITEM WITH NO CHARGE TO ME.
REAR WINDOW LEAK THAT LET MOSITURE IN MY VEHICLE AND SOAKED MY HEADLINER
