NHTSA Complaint #11703033 — 2019 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that she lived in an area with a lot of fog, and after activating the defroster and driving at an undisclosed speed, the rear driver’s side window shattered. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed with a possible small fracture that could allow moisture to intrude and shatter the glass. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: 23-098-23. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
