Electrical short behind dashboard. No signs of failure until it caught on fire. Interior was in flames in under 2 minutes.
On [XXX], I went to start my 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty (6.2L) and found that it would crank but not start. On [XXX], I had the truck towed to a local certified repair shop. They diagnosed that the fuel pump control module overheated and melted into the fuse box, causing extensive electrical damage and frying the main wire harness that connects to the fuse box. This is not something that should happen on a well-maintained vehicle with only 75,688 miles. I paid $2,600 for repairs out of pocket. The shop also informed me that this type of electrical failure could have easily caused a fire, especially since the truck was parked in my garage at the time of failure. This appears to be a serious electrical defect and a potential fire hazard. I’m requesting that Ford and NHTSA investigate this issue for possible recall or safety action. INFORMATION REDACTED...
Engine stalls out of nowhere regardless of speed , highway, street, driveway and is now non drivable.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. The contact stated that the front passenger’s side seat heater module would reach an abnormally hot temperature level. No warning light was illuminated. The contact was mechanically inclined and diagnosed the vehicle as needing of a heated seat module connector wire and a control module replacement. The local dealer was not contacted. In addition, parts had been ordered to perform the repair at the owner's expense. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.
On Tuesday, [XXX], at approximately [XXX] PM, I was driving southbound on [XXX] near Coalinga, CA, when my truck suddenly experienced a failure. I noticed smoke in the side mirror and asked my passenger to confirm. Moments later, a "Low Fuel Pressure" message appeared on the dashboard, and smoke began coming from the hood. I immediately pulled over and attempted to pop the hood, at which point flames erupted from the engine bay. The fire quickly spread, fully engulfing the vehicle within minutes. Emergency responders, including Cal-Fire and CHP, arrived on the scene. The truck was towed by Cal-State Towing Service in Huron, CA. The Fire Captain on site provided an incident card, but the full fire report is expected to take at least a week to obtain. There were no prior indications of mechanical issues before this incident, and no recent repairs or modifications to the fuel system or...
2 years ago both batteries needed replacement on my 2017 diesel f250. I noticed passenger positive battery cable at battery had a large amount of what I can only describe as large amount of gray cottage cheese on the passenger positive battery connector and cable. Dealer suggested a wire new battery cable which is actually a wiring harness ($2300) if they could not repair the issue. Luckily they were able to clean the cable connector and down the cable which was also affected. They also treated the cable and connector so it would not corrode further. Unfortunately the design of the cable is flawed as approximately 1 to 2 inches of bare cable before the connector is exposed without the red rubber coating to the battery gasses which causes the corrosion to travel down the cable/harness. During the last 2 years I monitored the cables for corrosion and they have...
1 .Driver's side door will not close in cold weather due to frozen actuator. TSB has been issued on this problem; Ford will not repair due to vehicle being out of warranty. 2. Backup/vehicle camera's do not always work when truck is in reverse. TSB has been issued on this problem; Ford will not repair due to vehicle being out of warranty. 3. Ford inadvertently installed a substantially smaller fuel tank on my specific vehicle. TSB has been issued on this problem; Ford will not repair due to vehicle being out of warranty.
The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds, the alarm system warning light was illuminated. The hood ajar message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the knock sensor and wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.
Doors will not lock or unlock from remote or inside switch. If an accident was to occure a person's can not get out of the vehicle.
I took my truck into the dealership Ford of Upland for recalls on [XXX] (136923 miles) outstanding field service actions [XXX], [XXX] , [XXX] , 21M05, [XXX] . I called to make an appointment and confirm if parts are needed for these recalls that they had them and nothing was on backorder. Cabral Lillian let me know they had everything the truck would be done in 1.5 days at most. About 2hours before they closed on day 2 i called to see when i could pickup. She told me they just started the [XXX] and it would be ready in one hour. When i went to pick up I was informed that was the only recall that they did. I asked why she said they did not have the other parts, i explained to her when i made the appointment she they had everything. She just said they would call...
Regarding customer satisfaction program 21M05. My tailgate has had numerous recalls for the electrical tailgate. I have been to two different dealerships and they have not fixed the recall now my truck has major electrical issues. The tailgate opens up all the time on its own. Something to do with the wiring system that's connected to that is making all my exterior lights and horn go off constantly. The truck is at the dealership down. They're trying to diagnose the electrical issues. They now want me to be responsible for a diagnosis if Ford will not cover it.
The engine light activated on the dash randomly while driving. My truck was experiencing loss of power and for the next few days and reduced fuel mileage. I checked the engine code and learned it is a common error with 2017 Ford Super Dutys with the 6.7L diesel engine. The code is “DTC P203B”, sometimes indicated as P203B00 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a manufacturer-specific fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the air/fuel mixture causing reductant level sensor circuit range/performance. I believe this error in manufacturing is a safety risk because it is common within these trucks and can leave motorists stranded or potentially disable the vehicle in the roadway causing a traffic hazard.
Good afternoon, 1.5 weeks ago, we had 4 serious issues that our Ford F250 Truck from 2017 with 55.000 miles on stalled during driving almost causing an accident because the steering system was not supporting anymore. We stopped the vehicle on the side of the road, yellow engine light came on with the fault message “All sensor” (attached). After several times cycling the ignition the Diesel engine started up with the yellow engine light on. This happened 4x. Luckily, we made it home. The next day the truck did not show any ignition neither did the engine start. I checked the battery power which was 12.8V and found a loose minus bar connection beside the positive bar beside the battery junction box. I thought I found the root cause, installed the missing nut but nothing changed. We had to organize a tow truck for 160US$ transferring the vehicle to the...
Recently I was leaving my neighborhood to take my kids to school. I used the remote start and noticed that the doors were not unlocking properly with the exception of the drivers side door. I opened the passenger door from the inside for my child to get into the truck. As we were about to depart the neighborhood for a busy main street, I noticed the door ajar light on the dash was on. I told my son to go ahead and close his door again. When he attempted to open and re-close the door we notice it was not fully latched and then the door would then not close at all as the latch was not functioning properly. I had to turn around and drive very slowly back to my house with my son holding the door closed. This was so incredibly unsafe and I'm thankful I was still...
The apim module is failing causing hvac, radio, phone connection, navigation to not work at all. The screen takes a lot of time to come on when starting the truck. Hoping it dosen't go out while backing up. Other vehicles have recalls on this buy not my truck.
Dash instruments, radio, compass, overhead console, all blank and inoperable. Was told by for service that many vehicles 2017 to 2019 are having same problem. Told the instrument cluster module powers multiple areas of truck and will need a new module. Was told there is a glitch in the design.
Noticed that my floor is getting soaked for no reason. After looking online and reading about others that are experiencing the same issues I found out that is was the cabin pressure vent that was leaking. The cabin pressure vent is found between the truck bed and cab. They are plastic and since the plastic clips lose tightness over the years I did not notice a slow leak in the back. Now when pulling up all of the carpet I notice I have black mold all under the carpet where my 3 year old rides. This is a huge health concern since black mold is unhealthy and not noticeable if this is a slow leak. This seems to be an issue or many people with these trucks. This is a reoccurring issue since many people had this issue starting back in 2007. I am out of the warranty time and...
The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. The contact stated that upon utilizing the snowplow mounted on the vehicle, the instrument panel lights would turn off and the vehicle would experience other electrical failures. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred consistently at times of high electrical system usage. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that an unknown software update needed to be completed on the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact that if the software update failed to resolve the issue, a large battery and a large alternator would need to be installed on the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under Ford Technical Service Bulletin Numbers: 17-0018 and 19-2373. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.
No crank no start was told bjb relay module is bad will cost me $1400 to repair on a truck with only 25,000 miles on it Just keep leaving me stranded do to not starting had to be towed several times
On Tues Nov 16, 2021 evening we discovered our Ford f-250 super duty diesel 6.7L on fire. Fire department was dispatched. They extinguished the fire and they determined that it was most likely the engine block heater (It was plugged in because of 0 degree temps that evening). The GFCI breaker was tripped. Upon later research, I found the NHTSA safety recall report 18v-894 dated Dec 18, 2018 found that the vehicle's engine block heater cable is susceptible to moisture accumulation and subsequent fire because of these factors: a female connector angled upwards at 45 degree or greater angle, a low mounting position in the vehicle, and an unshielded or exposed mounting location. On 5/30/2019 we took the vehicle into our local Ford service dealer because of recall #18s45 and they disabled the block heater. On Oct 28, 2019 we responded to recall 19g01and took the vehicle again into the...
THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEAT MASSAGE DO NOT WORK PROPERLY, THE LUMBAR AND SEAT PORTION WORK INTERMITTENTLY AND FOR A SHORTER DURATION THAN TWENTY MINUTES (2017 FORD F250 PLATINUM). THE VEHICLE WIPER BLADE RATE OF ACTION RANDOMLY INCREASES AND DECREASES ON IT'S OWN. I WAS TOLD TODAY BY THE FORD DEALERSHIP IN REDDING, CALIFORNIA THAT A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN HAD BEEN ISSUED FOR THE SEAT MASSAGE PROBLEM, BUT THAT FORD WOULD NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM UNLESS I PAY $800.00 FOR THIS REPAIR. IF FORD IS AWARE THAT THE VEHICLE SEATS HAVE THIS ISSUE AND KNOW HOW TO CORRECT IT, WHY AM I BEING CHARGED TO CORRECT IT AND MAKE IT RIGHT?
I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE INSTANCES OF THE 2017 FORD F250 PLATINUM WITH 107,000 BUT IN EXCELLENT SHAPE AND WELL MAINTAINED. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IT WILL SHUT SHUTDOWN FOR NO REASON.I HAVE TAKEN IT IN TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WAS A PROBLEM IN THE RIGHT REAR TAILLIGHT. IT DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS HAPPENS FAIRLY REGULAR. WHEN IT HAPPENS I GET MULTIPLE ERROR MESSAGES. TAILLIGHT SYSTEM FAULT, BLIND SPOT SYSTEM FAULT AND THEN SAYS SEE OWNERS MANUEL. I AM WORRIED THIS MAY HAPPEN WHEN TOWING A PIECE OF EQUIPMENT. I HAVE REQUEST A FORD REP LOOK AT IT IF THE SERVICE TECH CANNOT FIGURE THE ISSUE OUT.
THE POSITIVE TERMINAL OF THE PASSENGER-SIDE BATTERY CABLE ASSEMBLY MELTED. NOT CORRODED'IT MELTED. THE TERMINAL WAS LIKE GREY MARSHMALLOW. ALL REQUIRED AND RECOMMENDED TRUCK SERVICE HAS BEEN PERFORMED ON TIME AND BY THE FORD DEALERSHIP AND NO ANOMALIES WITH THE BATTERY OR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WERE EVER NOTED BY THE DEALERSHIP. TRUCK IS LESS THAN 36 MONTHS OLD AND THE BATTERIES WERE ORIGINAL AND OEM AND LESS THAN THEIR 36 MONTH GUARANTEED LIFE. NO DAMAGE EVIDENT TO THE BATTERY. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND COULD OF POTENTIALLY STARTED A VEHICLE FIRE. EVEN MORE INTERESTING IS THIS CABLE ASSEMBLY IS ON AN EMERGENCY BACK-ORDER. THE PART IS 'HC3Z 14300 A :CABLE ASSEMBLY - BATTERY TO BATTERY' AND FORD QUOTES $2,500 - $3,000 TO FIX IT (PARTS AND LABOR) AND THEY CLAIM IT FAILED DUE TO NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR WHICH IS PREPOSTEROUS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND THE NHTSA NEEDS TO BE...
NUMBER TWO BATTERY TERMINAL CORRODED. FORD MAINTENANCE INDICATES THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND THE HARNESS SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN 60 DAYS AND THE PART IS STILL UNAVAILABLE. THIS DEFECT RENDERS THE VEHICLE INOPERABLE.
THE 120 VOLT OUTLET IN THE DASH FAULTS OUT ALL THE TIME, IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP AT LEAST FOUR TIMES TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. FORD CSR AT FIRST CLAIMED THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE WHICH WAS A LIE, AS I COULD SHOW THEM THE FAILURE, THEN FORD CSR SENT ME AN EMAIL STATING THEY CAN NOT FIX IT AND IF I DON'T LIKE THEIR ANSWER TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD F-250. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HEATER FAILED TO OPERATE. THE CONTACT LIVED IN AN EXTREMELY COLD ENVIRONMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO SPRADELY FORD (4809 S COLLEGE AVE, FORT COLLINS, CO 80525, (970) 226-3673) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE GFI BOX NEEDED TO BE DISCONNECTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
AIR BAG LIGHT ON THE TACHOMETER COMES ON WHILE BRAKING, USUALLY WITH EXTERIOR AIR TEMP ABOVE 80 DEGREES. A/C COMPRESSOR SHUTS DOWN, TURN SIGNALS GO CRAZY WHEN ENGAGED, ELECTRIC WINDOWS STOP FUNCTIONING AND THE BRAKE PEDAL SEEMS SOFT.. RELEASE THE BRAKE PEDAL; THE AIR BAG LIGHT GOES OUT AND EVERYTHING FUNCTIONS AS NORMAL UNTIL THE BRAKE PEDAL IS APPLIED AGAIN. THE FCIM WAS REPLACED AND REPROGRAMMED BUT THE ISSUE REMAINS. COMMENTS PLEASE VEHICLE HAS 28000 MILES +/-
WATER HAVE INTRUDED THE CAB OF MY VEHICLE FROM THE ROOF, IT ALSO AFFECTED THE DISPLAY IN MY VEHICLE . SINCE WATER HAVE INTRUDED MY VEHICLE, I FEAR THE POSSIBILITY OF RUST AND SOMETHING ELSE GOING TO HAPPEN. I HAVE RECORDED THE OCCURRENCE BUT UNABLE TO TRANSFER THE FILE AF THIS TIME.
THE TAILGATE IS ELECTRONIC AND IS OPENING ON IT'S OWN WHILE IN MOTION. WITH MY 5TH WHEEL RV CONNECTED I CANNOT TELL WHEN THE TAILGATE OPENS AND THIS TIME IT DAMAGED BOTH THE TAILGATE AND MY RV WHEN I MADE A RIGHT TURN. I ALSO LOST CARGO THAT WAS IN THE BED.
THE BLOCK HEATER ELECTRICAL IS CORROEDING APART FORD SENT OUT A NOTICE 6 MONTHS AGO AND NO FIX FOR IT THIS CSN CAUSE FIRE TO THE VEHICLE
THE ISSUE STARTED WITH THE AUTOMATIC TAILGATE DEPLOYING OR OPENING DURING TRANSIT. I WAS HAULING CARGO AND THE AT HIGHWAY SPEED THE TAILGATE OPENED AND THE LOAD EJECTED FROM THE THE BED OF TRUCK ONTO THE HIGHWAY. FORTUNATELY THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT OR DAMAGE TO ANYONE ELSE PROPERTY. AFTER THIS OCCURRENCE OVER A PERIOD OF WEEKS THE ISSUE CONTINUES TO GET WORSE. IT HAPPENS NOW REGULARLY AND NUMEROUS TIMES DURING A DAY. I DO NOT HAUL CARGO NOW BECAUSE OF THIS. NOW THE TRUCK ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SEEMS TO BE INVOLVED. THE WINDOWS, RADIO AND LIGHTS HAVE ISSUES. THE TAILGATE HAS NO NOW STOPPED OPENING RANDOMLY AND IS STUCK IN THE CLOSED POSITION, THIS COULD BE DO TO EXTREME FORCE I APPLIED DURING CLOSING IT IN WHILE STETTING AT A BUSY INTERSECTION RECENTLY. THE INSTRUMENT P[PANEL ON THE VEHICLE IS VERY INTELLIGENT AND ALL THE SETTINGS REGULAR DISCONNECT OR MALFUNCTION NOW....
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 FORD F-250. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE AUTOMATIC TAILGATE ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER OFF OF THE ROADWAY AND CLOSED THE TAILGATE. WHEN THE CONTACT RE-ENTERED THE VEHICLE, THE TAILGATE ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GJOVIK FORD INC (LOCATED AT 2600 US-34, SANDWICH, IL 60548, (630) 552-8058) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT WATER MADE CONTACT WITH THE WIRING HARNESS THAT CONTROLLED THE TAILGATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000.
THE POWER LIFT GATE OPENS BY ITSELF 3 TIMES IN 1 YEAR WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. TAILGATE IS DESTROYED FROM HITTING TRAILER JACK.
I CONTINUE TO HAVE ISSUES WITH THE TAILGATE OPENING ON ITS OWN. TODAY IT CAME DOWN SOMETIME WHILE I WAS TRAVELING DOWN THE INTERSTATE TO WORK. I WILL EVENTUALLY LOOSE SOMETHING OUT OF THE BACK, AND I HAVE A COVER ON THE BED, SO I CANNOT SEE WHEN THE TAILGATE IS DOWN. MY TRUCK DOES NOT FALL IN THE TIME FRAME FORD HAS ON THEIR TSB SO I THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT ADDRESS THE PROBLEM. MAY TRUCK WAS AN AUGUST BUILD AND THE TSB FOR THE PROBLEM ONLY COVERS TRUCKS BUILT UP TO JULY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 FORD F-250. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE CAUGHT FIRE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ENGINE AND THE BRAKES FAILED. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOW YARD. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 36,000. *TT CONSUMER STATED INSURANCE COMPANY DETERMINED DEFECTIVE WIRING CAUSED THE FIRE BOTH THE TRUCK AND CAMPER WERE A TOTAL LOSS. *JB
UNCOMMANDED TAILGATE OPENING. TAIL GATE OPENS AND DROPS ALL BY ITSELF. THIS HAPPENS SPORADICALLY BUT PERSISTENTLY. FORD DEALER HAS BEEN UNABLE TO FIX, AFTER REPEATED SERVICE VISITS INCLUDING INVOLVEMENT OF FORD FACTORY TECHNICIANS. UNCOMMANDED OPENING MOST FREQUENTLY OCCURS WHEN SHIFTING TO REVERSE, RELEASING PARKING BRAKE AND/OF SHIFTING INTO DRIVE. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ALONG TIME, MONTHS AND MONTHS. DEALER PERFORMED WORK CALLED FOR BY 10/17 TECH SERVICE BULLITEN, DIDNT FIXIT. HAS REPLACED WIRING HARNNESS, RELEVANT SWITCHES, CHECKED AND RECHECKED ALL CONNECTIONS AND REPLACED MASTER CONTROL MODULE...NONE OF ALL THAT WORKED. THIS IS DANGEROUS AS YOU DONT KNOW WHEN TAILGATE IS OPEN. FORD HAS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THIS AND FACTORY SEEMS COMPLETELY DISMISSIVE OF THE ISSUE. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS.
AUTOMATIC ELECTRIC TAIL GATE OPENS RANDOMLY WITHOUT DRIVER SELECTION. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE VEHICLE IS MOVING AND HAS CAUSED DAMAGE TO TAILGATE AND TRAVEL TRAILER. NO INDICATION TAILGATE IS OPEN GIVEN TO DRIVER. THIS HAPPENED WITHIN THE FIRST 100 MILES AFTER PURCHASE, THE FIRST TIME. IT HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AFTER THAT. LAST INCIDENT I HAD JUST PULLED ONTO THE FREEWAY AND WAS FLAGGED DOWN BY A PASSING TRUCKER WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT 65MPH THAT MY TAILGATE HAD OPENED. IMAGINE IF SOMETHING HAD FALLEN OUT OF THE BED OF MY TRUCK AND CAUSED ANOTHER MOTORIST TO CRASH. I HAD HEARD A CREAKING SOUND WHILE TURNING ONTO A ROADWAY WITH MY AIRSTREAM TRAVEL TRAILER ATTACHED. THE TAILGATE HAD CRUNCHED AGAINST THE PROPANE BOTTLES CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE TAILGATE, THE PROPANE BOTTLES, AND THE COVER. THIS HAD HAPPENED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES IN OTHER INSTANCES BUT THOUGHT IT WAS A...
WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 30 MPH ON MOUNTAIN ROAD AT CADE'S COVE TN. THE ENGINE SHUT OFF , NO INDICATION BEFORE HAND. ALL SMALL ICON SHOWED ON DASH INCLUDING BATTERY. JUST MADE IT TO THE OTHER SIDE OF ROAD PULL OFF AREA OR OTHER WISE I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN CENTER OF ROAD. NO POWER STEERING. TURNER KEY OFF AND WAITED ABOUT 1 MINUTE. TURNED KEY ON AND ENGINE STARTED UP. WAS ABLE TO RETURN TO OUR CAMPGROUND. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY / ACCIDENT AS THIS MOUNTAIN ROAD IS VERY NARROW AND MANY TURNS GOING BACK TO GATLINBURG TN. FROM CADE'S COVE.
I RECENTLY PARKED MY TT AT OUR NEW RV CAMPGROUND. WHILE BACKING IT UP THE GATE OPENED RANDOMLY IN THE MIDDLE OF A TURN AND DENTED THE TOP OF MY TAILGATE. EXTREMELY UPSET I NEW IT WAS GOING TO BE A HARD CASE TO SUBMIT TO WARRANTY FOR THEM TO BELIEVE THAT IT WASN'T USER ERROR. A FEW DAYS LATER I LEFT WORK AND DROVE 20 MILES DOWN THE HIGHWAY ONLY TO GET TO WHERE I WAS GOING AND GET OUT OF MY TRUCK TO SEE THE TAILGATE DOWN WITH A FULL PROPANE TANK IN THE BACK AN A $1000 WORTH OF FISHING POLES. TODAY I TOOK MY WIFE TO LUNCH AND WHEN WE PARKED AND GOT OUT THE GATE WAS DOWN AGAIN. WE ATE WENT A FEW MILES DOWN THE ROAD, SHOPPED AND UNLOCKED THE DOORS USING THE FOB AND THE GATE DROPPED. THAT'S TWICE IN ONE DAY. IT...
MY TRUCK HAS 40000 MILES ON IT I GOT A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TOOK IT INTO THE DEALER SHIP AND THEY TELL MY 100000 MILE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER THE SENSOR THAT IS GIVING A FAULT AND I GOTTA PAY 890.00 OUT OF POCKET TO FIX IT. I WAS TOLD ALL ENGINE COMPONENTS ARE UNDER WARRANTY FOR 100K ON THE TRUCK
I PURCHASED MY 2017 FORD F 250 SUPER DUTY 4X4 IN SEPTEMBER OF 2017. I FIRST NOTICED AN ISSUE WITH THE SUSPENSION WHEN HITTING A BUMP IN THE ROAD AT 60 MPH AND ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE TRUCK. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN AND REGAIN CONTROL. I BEGIN TO DO SOME RESEARCH AND LEARN OF THE DEATH WOBBLE THAT FORD IS AWARE OF, I WILL NOW TAKE MY VEHICLE IN TO HAVE THE SUSPENSION CHECKED. SECONDLY, I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUE'S WITH MY SYNC3 SYSTEM, BLUETOOTH, CLIMATE CONTROL, EASY ENTRY AND EXIT FOR THE DRIVERS SEAT AND THE APPLE CAR PLAY FEATURE. AFTER TAKING MY VEHICLE TO THE SHOP, I WAS TOLD THE SYNC3 SYSTEM, A COUPLE MODULES AND THE CHASSIS HARNESS WAS REPLACED TO CORRECT THE ISSUE'S. I HAVE TAKEN MY TRUCK TO FORD THREE TIME FOR THE SYNC3 MALFUNCTION AND WAS TOLD NOT TO USE...
