Consumer Description
Good afternoon, 1.5 weeks ago, we had 4 serious issues that our Ford F250 Truck from 2017 with 55.000 miles on stalled during driving almost causing an accident because the steering system was not supporting anymore. We stopped the vehicle on the side of the road, yellow engine light came on with the fault message “All sensor” (attached). After several times cycling the ignition the Diesel engine started up with the yellow engine light on. This happened 4x. Luckily, we made it home. The next day the truck did not show any ignition neither did the engine start. I checked the battery power which was 12.8V and found a loose minus bar connection beside the positive bar beside the battery junction box. I thought I found the root cause, installed the missing nut but nothing changed. We had to organize a tow truck for 160US$ transferring the vehicle to the Ford Dealer Mall of Georgia in Buford after confirming an appointment for Monday [XXX], 2024, [XXX]. We confirmed the complaint with a Ford Service technician name Scott Tackabury, left the keys under the assumption that Ford will investigate the root cause. Since this is our only vehicle, we had to take a rental car due to business obligations. Unfortunately, the truck got not inspected until [XXX], 2024. WE had to call several times to get an update and were told that “… it is like a doctor appointment… ur in line”!!?? Again [XXX] 2024, we did not receive a call, we had to call to see what’s going on. Investigation result: -IDS test found the following DTC’s: oP064A, P027A, P0087, P008A -Diag. DTC: P027A found Pin 25 in connector C1035A melted causing poor connection for the fuel pump control module circuit (see attachments) -DTC P064A Fuel pump control module internal fault Remedy: -Replace the Battery Junction Box -Repair the wiring -Replace the fuel pump control module INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
