2017 FORD F-250 Unknown Or Other Problems

This issue with the truck has been going on since last year can be driving down the highway at a speed of 55 to 70 mph depending on the speed limit and the truck will start jerking and bucking to the point where it will almost sling you through the windshield and the reduced engine power will come on and you have no power at all taking it to the Ford dealership to get the powertrain control module reprogrammed I was informed that would fix the issue it did not there was a recall on the cp4 high pressure fuel pump that was manufactured by Bosch i have one of those fuel pumps in the ford company said 2017 f250 super duty diesel wasn't apart of the recall why did they all of a sudden do a recall to have the power train control module programmed on my 2017 Ford...

The middle sliding glass window just fell off the track while diving. Nothing impacted it. It looks like the track is visually coming disconnected

Back up camera doesn’t work I have the same issues stated in the recall of many other trucks the same as mine but my vin is not included in the recall

Uncontrollable shaking wobble in steering known as death wobble.

On about Sep 23 on the afternoon I hit a pothole in the road and my back window fell out of the truck. The whole assembly that keeps the rear sliding window in place just failed.

THE FORWARD FACING CAMERA HAS BECOME CLOUDED. THIS PRECLUDES ME FROM SEEING DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE TRUCK WHEN PULLING OFF. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN AND ITEMS THAT MAY BE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE TRUCK.

wHEN TEMPERATURE DROPS BELOW FREEZING MOISTURE GET IN DOOR PANELS AND FREEZES THE LOCKING SYSTEM SO THAT THE DOES WILL NOT STAY CLOSED, MAKING MY TRUCK UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIME WHEN ON THE ROAD WAS AFRAID FOR PASSENGER AND ANIMALS IN THE TRUCK.

Frozen door locks and latches. Door freezes in cold temperatures and when the door is opened the door locks freeze in the open position not allowing the doors to close and latch properly or at all.

Recently I was leaving my neighborhood to take my kids to school. I used the remote start and noticed that the doors were not unlocking properly with the exception of the drivers side door. I opened the passenger door from the inside for my child to get into the truck. As we were about to depart the neighborhood for a busy main street, I noticed the door ajar light on the dash was on. I told my son to go ahead and close his door again. When he attempted to open and re-close the door we notice it was not fully latched and then the door would then not close at all as the latch was not functioning properly. DEATH WOBBLE : First time it happened. We were pulling a trailer; we had to come to a complete stop. We called the dealer that we bought the F-250 with a gas engine from; they did work on it that ended up costing us additional money. When the dealer fixed it supposedly it was under warranty. Now it is doing it again; so the warranty didn't fix it.This truck has around 15,000 miles on it now. Our son-in law was driving it about a month ago ; he hit a bump and it did it again. He had to slow way down or stop for it to quit the wobble. He had our grandkids with him. Ford needs to address this problem.

Front end shakes violently if I hit a bump. Has happened numerous times usually above 50 mph. Only 21,000 thousand miles on vehicle and tires are in fair shape. Was told by a mechanic that it was a common problem on Ford 250 and advised to report the problem. Requires slowing down dramatically to allow to correct.

My truck is actually in f250. The door actuator due to the cold which has been an issue on this truck has frozen again. The first time my child almost fell out of the truck 2 years ago due to door lock / actuator. I had taken it back for the recall said recall. On Friday when it was -37° wind chill the actuator locked me out of my running truck which almost caused me to get frostbite on my fingers

I was driving on interstate and hit bump on a bridge and the front of the truck began to shake violently. I could not steer truck. I applied the brakes and it got worse. I got the truck below 40mph and the shaking stopped. My safety and others were at risk because I couldn’t steer the truck. I took the truck to an alignment and front end shop and they told me that this was common in the Ford F250 called a death wobble. I am currently trying to-get to ford dealer. Driving down the highway hit a little bump and a horrible wobble in steering

FORD 2017 F250 - Fuel system completely collapsed, with NO WARNING truck completely went powerless doing 70 MPH on the highway with my son in the back of the truck. Luckily I had the mind to pull over safely. What if I was towing a load or similar on mountain roads. Ford said they found rust and debris in the fuel system, they would not cover it under Premium Ford warranty. Safeco/Liberty Mutual stated they tested the fuel and was fine. No coverage either on Auto Insurance. Total cost was $13,500 to repair the system on which I had full warranty and full insurance coverage. Ford did help with a $4000 Customer retention help fund. I am reporting in hopes to save lives, if I I wasn't aware at the time of the complete power failure things could have been significantly worse. I was driving down Haleakala Highway Maui and wasn’t pushing the gas or braking and my truck started shaking uncontrollably with my daughter in the truck. It was the scariest thing I have ever encountered…..I believe it was the ford death wobble

Have experienced a violent shaking ("death wobble") on multiple occasions while driving at highway speeds. When this occurs, the steering wheel and entire vehicle wobbles/shakes and the only way to stop it is to quickly reduce speed. This has almost led to multiple accidents while driving at highway speeds.

The truck shakes violently at high speeds, sometimes after going over a bump.

I WAS TRAVELING AT 75 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE. I CROSSED A BRIDGE AND WHEN I HIT THE BRIDGE TO ROAD TRANSITION THE STEERING WHEEL AND TRUCK BEGAN TO VIBRATE AND SHAKE VIOLENTLY. I HAD TO COME TO A STOP ON THE SHOULDER BEFORE THE SHAKING QUIT. IT IS THE NOTORIOUS "DEATH WOBBLE" THAT THESE TRUCKS ARE KNOWN FOR. THE TRUCK HAS ONLY 40,000 MILES ON IT.

While driving my 2017 F250 on the highway truck started to wobble/shake out of control at 65 mph, causing me to maneuver across multiple lanes to end up in the ditch in the median.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving approximately 60-65 MPH, the steering wheel and vehicle were shaking uncontrollably. The contact lost control of the vehicle and drove over the jersey wall. The check engine warning light was illuminated. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle was towed to a collision repair facility. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

I have had the tail gate open several times. I have had the tailgate repaired under a recall twice and then I replaced the entire wiring harness for it. Unfortunately the issue continues to happen.

After hitting a bump or bridge on the highway, the vehicle shakes dangerously and uncontrollably. It has happened since I bought it but I could control it by slowing down significantly. It got worse over time. It has steered me out of my driving lane. I took it to the Ford dealership for inspection and repair. About 6 months later it started happening again. It is currently very severe. Today was the latest occurrence.

DRIVING ON I 495 LAST NIGHT AND EXPERIENCED DEATH WOBBLE. I HAVE UNDER 27,000 MILES ON MY 2017 F250. IN THE PAST, I NOTICE SHAKING BUT THIS WAS ALOT WORSE AND LASTED A LONG TIME. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD A DEATH WABBLE IN IT FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS AND HAS NEVER BEEN FIXED EVEN THOUGH IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR THE SAME ISSUE MULTIPLE TIMES

WE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY GOING 60MPH. ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE WAS A LOUD BANG AND THE REAR SLIDING WINDOW EXPLODED INSIDE OF THE CAB. WE HAD OUR DOGS WITH US LYING IN THE BACK THE GLASS FLEW INTO THE BACK AND EVEN DOWN OUR CLOTHES. NOTHING HIT THE TRUCK. WE IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER AND GOT AS MUCH GLASS OUT OF THE CAR. WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE TRUCK STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY AND I LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING. HAPPENED TWICE. JUST HAD TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS, HOPE FOR THE BEST AND GET OFF THE HIGHWAY. TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED THE STEERING DAMPER. ON THE WAY FROM MAINE TO FLORIDA, IT HAPPENED AGAIN IN SOUTH CAROLINA. TRUCK AGAIN IS SHAKING AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND NO CONTROL OF STEERING. THE SUPPOSED FIX DID NOT ACTUALLY FIX THE PROBLEM. WITH A SUDDEN INABILITY TO STEER, THE TRUCK IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.

SEVERE CASES OF THE DEATH WOBBLE. HIT THE SLIGHTEST BUMP IN THE ROAD GOING OVER 50 AND THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES UNCONTROLLABLY UNTIL YOU SLOW DOWN TO 10-20 MPH. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN IN 3 WRECKS NOW ON THE INTERSTATE FROM THIS ISSUE. FORD TOLD ME THE STEERING STABILIZER BAR IS OR BACKORDER UNTIL MID JANUARY. I HAVE A 60K TRUCK I CAN'T DRIVE AND NOT POSITIVE THE STEERING DAMPNER WILL EVEN FIX THE ISSUE.

DRIVING TRUCK STARTED SHAKING LOST STEERING RAN IN DITCH TIRE ROD BROKE FRONT END MESSED UP

A/C CONDENSER DAMAGED BY ROAD DEBRIS PER LOCAL FORD DEALER AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $995.00. THE GRILLE HAS LARGE HOLES IN IT THAT I CAN PUT MY HAND AND FOREARM THROUGH ON EACH SIDE OF THE FORD EMBLEM WHICH IS ALLOWING ROAD DEBRIS TO DAMAGE THE RADIATORS. THE LOCAL FORD DEALER SAID THEY HAD OTHER FORD F-250'S COME IN WITH THE SAME ISSUE AND ALSO ANOTHER ONE WHERE A BIRD WENT THROUGH ONE OF THESE LARGE HOLES AND TOOK OUT ANOTHER GUYS RADIATOR. IN MY OPINION THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT / ERROR THAT WAS POORLY DESIGNED AND END UP COSTING THE CONSUMER ALOT OF MONEY TO FIX. ALL INSTANCES HAVE HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE AT 60 MPH OR HIGHER. THE STEERING WHEEL STARTS TO SHAKE AND THEN CONTINUES TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE AND THE ENTIRE CAB IS SHAKING. LOSE OF STEERING CONTROL. ONLY STOPPED AFTER FORCIBLY SLOWING DOWN TRUCK TO BELOW 25 MILE PER HOUR CAUSING POSSIBLE COLLISION WITH OTHER VEHICLES OR BARRIERS. HAVE TAKEN IT TO FORD DEALERSHIP AFTER THE SECOND INSTANCE AND THEY SAY FORD IS NOT ACKNOWLEDGING THE ISSUE AND COULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT. IN MAY OF 2020, THE DEALER DID ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEIR WAS AN ISSUE AND THEY REPLACED STEERING DAMPER UNDER WARRANTY...

WHEN IT RAINS THERE IS WATER DRIPPING FROM MY PASSENGER SIDE A PILLAR TRIM PANEL AND GLOVE BOX PUDDLING ON THE FLOOR BOARDS. THE FORD DEALER NEAR ME HAS WATER TESTED THE TRUCK AND HAS NOT FOUND ANYTHING, SO THEY WOULD LIKE A CONTRACTED GLASS SPECIALIST TO INSPECT THE WINDSHIELD SEAL EVEN THOUGH THEY COULDN'T FIND A LEAK IN IT.

DEATH WOBBLE STEERING WHEEL AND FRONT END SHAKE VIOLENTLY MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL VEHICLE AFTER DRIVING ON ROUGH ROAD AT HIGHWAY SPEED. AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS WAITIG FOR BACK ORDERED PART FORD DEALER REPLACED STEERING DAMPER AS FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM 2/21/2020 30241 MILES. PROBLEM BACK IN AUGUST 2020 38817 MILES.

HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES. WHILE DRIVING TRUCK WILL BUCK THEN LOSE TOTAL POWER AND WILL NOT RESTART. ALWAYS HAPPENS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.

I HAVE A 2017 F-250 WITH 24,000 MILES ON IT RECENTLY STARTED THE "DEATH WOBBLE". USUALLY ONLY HAPPENS AT HIGHER SPEEDS (60 OR BETTER) AND AFTER HITTING A "ROUGH PATCH" IN THE ROAD OR BRIDGE JOINTS. VEHICLE WILL SHAKE VIOLENTLY WHEN TRAVELING 50+ MPH AND IT HITS A BUMP IN THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE IS UNCONTROLLABLE AND REQUIRES IMMEDIATE DECELERATION UNTIL THE SHAKING SMOOTHES OUT ENOUGH TO SAFELY RESUME DRIVING. WHEN DRIVING THE TRUCK AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL GOES INTO AN UNCONTROLLABLE WHIPPING, OR THE FAMOUS "DEATH WOBBLE" AFTER YOU HIT BUMPS IN THE ROAD. YOU NEED TO BRING THE TRUCK DOWN IN SPEED TO GET IT TO STOP. THIS CONDITION IS NOT SAFE ON THE HIGHWAY WITH TRAFFIC AROUND YOU, AND IS VERY UPSETTING AND SCARY WHEN IT HAPPENS. THIS HAPPENS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AFTER YOU HIT BUMPS. THIS HAPPENED TO ME TWICE ON OUR TRIP BACK FROM FLORIDA TO WISCONSIN. I HAD A 5TH WHEEL CAMPER ATTACHED TO THE TRUCK WHEN THIS HAPPENED, SO I WAS EVEN MORE AFRAID OF LOSING CONTROL WITH THAT AMOUNT OF TRAILER IN TOW.

AT 71 MPH WHILE THE TRUCK WAS ON CRUISE CONTROL GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, I WENT OVER A BRIDGE AND THE TRUCK BEGAN TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE LIKE IT WAS COMING APART. THE TRUCK'S BACK END STARTED TO COME AROUND ON ME LIKE IT WAS SKIDDING AND WENT BACK AND FORTH A COUPLE TIMES. THE ROAD WAS COMPLETELY STRAIGHT AND DRY SO THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANY REASON THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED EITHER. CARS ON BOTH SIDES OF ME WENT TO THE SHOULDER AND DITCH TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE WAY. I SLOWED DOWN TO ABOUT 30 MPH AND THE SHAKING STOPPED. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE FORD DEALER AND THEY INSTANTLY KNEW WHAT I WAS DESCRIBING AND CALL IT THE FORD DEATH WOBBLE. THE TRUCK HAS 15,500 MILES ON IT WITH ORIGINAL TIRES, NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT OR ANY OTHER REASON TO DO THIS. VERY SCARY AND I...

I WAS TRAVELING ON A HIGHWAY DOING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH (SPEED LIMIT). WHEN I HIT A BRIDGE EXPANSION JOINT THE TRUCK STARTED VIOLENTLY VIBRATING TO THE POINT I WAS LOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I RAPIDLY DECELERATED AND THE VIOLENT SHAKING STOPPED AFTER I SLOWED THE VEHICLE TO APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH. THE SHAKING WAS SO VIOLENT I WAS SECONDS AWAY FROM VEERING OFF THE ROAD INTO THE TREES. THERE IS A TECHNICAL BULLETIN FROM FORD ABOUT THIS ISSUE, BUT IT IS NOT A RECALL. SOMEONE IS LIKELY GOING TO DIE FOR WHAT IS OBVIOUSLY A DESIGN AND/OR MANUFACTURING DEFECT. THE TECHNICAL BULLETIN FROM FORD ON THIS ISSUE IS: TSB# 18- 2268. NTHIS NEEDS TO BE A RECALL.

DRIVING ABOUT 60 MILES PER HOUR ON A STATE MAINTAINED HIGHWAY I HIT A SMALL DEPRESSION IN THE ROAD AND THE FRONT END OF THE TRUCK AND THE STEERING COLUMN STARTED TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY TO THE POINT I HAD VERY LITTLE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND STOP. I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST FORD DESCRIBING THE DEATH WOBBLE EFFECT. THAT DESCRIPTION IS EXACTLY WHAT I EXPERIENCED.
