Total engine failure while driving ~70 MPH, on a 4-5 lane highway, during rush hour traffic. No CEL activated, other vehicles had to swerve around my truck while I maneuvered the lanes with no engine power. Myself and my 5 year old son are lucky to be alive. 66k miles on truck when engine failed, issues started at 41K miles. Have taken vehicle to multiple Ford dealerships, 13 times in the last 2 years under warranty complaining of engine rattle, knock, noise, and oil consumption. Informed each time no engine issues present. Referred me to "Excessive Oil TSB" and "Engine Knock and Noise TSBs". Was instructed that this was normal operation and treated as if I was somehow crazy. Was taken to dealership for oil consumption check early Feb 2023 and engine failed March 2023. Requested Ford fill out a NHTSA report many times to include an ethics complaint from...

In March of 2022, Ford launched a TSB campaign for its F150 model trucks spanning a few years. The TSB was for a Cam Phaser issue and the company offered an extended mileage warranty with a tiered coverage chart based on your current miles while experiencing the problem. The campaign ended January of 2023. I own a 2019 F-150 and my truck began having the issues under the TSB in April of 2023. When I brought the issue to the Ford dealership, I was then informed of the open TSB (TSB's are not made public, but rather opened up for mechanics use to easily diagnose an issue). I was told that due to my mileage as well as missing the 'expiration of the campaign' by just a few months, I would have to cover the cost of the repair. After battling with Ford, I was able to gain some assistance...

Beginning 3 months ago, intermittently during in-town traffic driving, the vehicle will shut off. It happened about once a month. Three weeks ago when it did this, it said Low Charging System, so I took it to the dealer where purchased it. The Alternator tested Low, so it was replaced. Two weeks later, it died at a stoplight again & at Idle, then the Dash Message said Disengage Auto-Shut Off and Restart Engine. I called the dealer where purchased it & they came and got it. They tested it for a couple days & also had several people drive it, and they said it did fine with the Auto-Shut Off Turned On. Well this afternoon I drove it local around my own town, and it's still runs rough. It idles rough and is acting like it wants to die again at stoplights. I only way to be comfortable driving it...

On July 14, 2022, I took my F150 to Ford and it was determined that the 10 speed transmission was going to need to be replaced. I had 60,400 miles on it when it starts having major malfunction going on in the Powertrain. At the time the transmission replacement was being done, it was Ford’s knowledge that the Cam phasers were not functioning correctly.. causing sudden jerk and knocking.. Cam Phasers we’re not replace last year nor looked at, even though I told them that there was sudden jerks happening. It was under warranty at that time (last year). Ford also knew that reprogramming the trucks software, does not correct any of the problems that they are having. Now at 70,000 miles I’m going back in to, Southwest Ford in Hudson Oaks, Texas, to get these parts replaced as soon as they are available. They are requesting $700 (just like...
PowerTrain Malfunction Failed, notification on my vehicle appeared on 4/28/23, although I had been notifying dealer for 3 months prior the safety issue I was experiencing, and nearly got killed on a major interstate, on 4/26/23 my truck stalled as foot pedal would not work. Major safety of semi-trucks and other vehicles on main I30 Interstate were trying to avoid hitting me due to my vehicle abruptly downshifts from 10- to 1st gear. Foot pedal inoperable during that time. Yes, the dealer and Ford on 4/28/23 provided me a rental vehicle after my near collision experience until they figure out what to do, replace transmission or rebuild, unresolved. No the vehicle had no warnings, but did have symptons, which I took to dealer and they ran a diagnostic, and found nothing, they said there are TSBs out there with the downshifting issues, and stalling, jerking of transmission. But they said...
I approached a stop sign on a downhill descent and as I approached, the auto StartStop shut off my motor and I lost control of the vehicle. I could not steer and the brakes were squishy. I started rolling in to oncoming traffic. When I looked down at the dashboard it read, “Auto StartStop Shift to P, then Restart Engine.” I have a picture of the alert.
After purchasing my 2019 Ford F150 equipped with a V8 engine I noticed a loud knocking or tapping noise coming from the engine and a large consumption of oil happening. With no visible leaks I was putting about 1.5 to 2 quarts of oil a month in the engine to keep it filled. Loosing that much oil so fast could cause the engine to experience a catastrophic engine failure at any driving speed causing danger to me, my family, or other drivers on the road. Not to mention the environmental impacts caused by the engine burning so much oil so fast in possibly thousand of trucks across the country. I scheduled service with a Ford dealership. I have taken the truck in twice to have it looked at. Dealership has performed several service bulletins on it but it is still making a knocking and tapping noise and using excess amounts...

I got the truck with 10,00 miles and currently have 47,000 miles. I have been having oil burning issues since the beginning, but it has gotten worse. When I was adding the oil myself before having the dealership do it I was having to add almost 4 qts per 5-6 thousand miles. I have been taking it to the dealership every 1000 miles for oil consumption test. Typically, my oil burns over 1/2 qt per 1000 miles so the dealership claims. I have also claimed about harsh shifting and clunking noises. Most recently I took it in for the harsh shifting of the transmission and 4 wheel drive while the did the oil test. They reflashed the transmission and topped off the oil. The dealership then forgot to put the oil cap back on (I didn't think I had to check their work) the next day after a short drive...

On Monday, January 9, 2023 the vehicle shut off while driving in traffic, and was difficult to restart. It seemed like the battery was dead, but it wasn’t. This incident happened again within about a 15 minute time Period. Safety was obviously put at risk as this happened in a major metropolitan area, Miami, on the road during rush hour. The dealer has had the vehicle for the last two weeks, but was not able to reproduce the problem and cannot find anything wrong. When the vehicle shut off, a warning came up on the dash which said “auto stop, put the truck in park and restart the engine.” But again, it did not want to turn over to restart, and only did so with difficulty.
cam phaser recall performed by dealer prior to 36k miles. at 36k miles, returned to dealer with same rattle noise from engine, dealer said was noise from backpressure at exhaust near turbo. at 40k miles, engine failed in middle of intersection. Advised by dealer the engine is total loss and will need to be replaced, declined to agree that the cam phaser timing chain was the result, stated that the issue was in the lower end of the engine, which is where the oil pump is....that runs off the timing chain. prior to the failure, I experienced slight power loss, complete momentary power loss shifting between gears 2 and 3, slight knocking noise from the engine that mimicked a diesel engine sound, as well as the stated rattle noise.
11-Jan-2023 18:01 CST approximate temperature 47F. Commuting home the vehicle was driven approximately 30 minutes on the highway. Stopped for fast food and it was turned off for less than 10 minutes. Restarted without issue drove out to a stop light to make a left turn. Auto start-stop turned off the engine but failed to restart. Put vehicle in park vehicle would not restart normally, and multiple restart attempts failed. Restarted vehicle with an jump start battery pack. Drove straight to Autozone and battery tested fully charged on printed receipt. Vehicle restarted normally twice in parking lot. Drove home battery tested 12.7 volts with multimeter. I don't suspect that the battery is the issue. The vehicle battery management system should detect a low battery and disable auto start-stop. My preference is not to have to work under the hood in the middle of traffic in the dark.
Auto stop start shift to P then restart engine message came up . Vehicle stopped while in drive almost causing an accident. Very unsafe condition.
The truck cut off while rolling up to a stop sign. And an error code came up the dash.

I own a 2019 Ford Raptor with 62,000 miles. At 27,000 I had warranty cam phasers replaced under warranty. I just had same issue come up again at 62,000 miles and ford dealership mak haik in Jackson Ms is saying it’s not warranty because I didn’t bring truck in for an update that I knew nothing about. My extended warranty CNA National has turned my claim down also because they followed my dealerships decision. The cam phasers on f150 eco boost are a bad problem for this truck and it should be a recall and definitely fixed at no cost to customers. I’m without a ride as of now and I owe 4 more years on this truck. They are expecting me to pay 3,800 to fix it while others that noticed a letter are repaired. This is not right!!!
Vehicle stalls at idle when coming to a stop and turning into intersections
It present at this moment engine light on and off all time, it had a power train damaged, I bought a new transmission 5 month ago, at this time it has deactivated adaptative Cruise control, automatic emergency brakes, forward collision warning, and it has a power train problem again.
The oil is disappearing, I have no idea where it’s going, the local dealer says they don’t know where it’s going. If it gets sent to the catalytic converter it’s going to mess it up and pollute. I’m looking online and i see that a lot of people with the v8 engine are having the same problem.
I purchased a 2019 Ford F-150 from AutoNation Ford in Panama City, Florida in 2020, along with a bumper-to-bumper warranty through The Ford Motor Company, covering the car until 140,000 miles. Over the last 20 months my truck has been back to AutoNation at least 5 times for various mechanical issues. To their credit, each time the Service Department was eventually able to resolve each issue. During this week's 4.5 hour visit to the Service Center I was informed that my engine is faulty (Google "F150 oil consumption problem") and needs to be replaced; it survived less than 80,000 miles. Replacing an engine is a hassle, but I have a warranty and Ford is a trustworthy American company that makes America proud. Unfortunately, I was told that Ford is not allowing any existing customers to get on a list for replacing my particular engine (5.0L V8). Ok, but I have...

I have a 2019 Ford F150 with a 5.0 liter motor with approx 42k miles. I maintain my vehicles and I check my oil in between oil changes. It is always low and I do not have any oils leaks. I discussed it with the service advisor at Bo Beukman Ford and the service advisor told me it is normal for oil consumption in between oil changes???? Maybe on a 10 year old truck, but not a 2-3 year old truck! I recently googled this issue and found TSB 19-2365 and I discussed it with my service advisor and they told me I could bring it in and they would check it, but TSB would be at my cost! Seriously? After my last oil change, I took pics of the dipstick a couple days after the service was completed that I can send you. What if people think the oil...
Driving back from, San Antonio, Tx., to Millsap, Tx., in my 2019 Ford F-150 truck, I experienced down shifting and up shifting hard. It was making driving very difficult and dangerous. My Ford App alerted me that there was a Powertrain Malfunction. The little wrench light came on the dash indicating Powertrain problems. I was very concerned for my safety. I have turned it into, Southwest Ford, in, Hudson Oaks, Texas. I was not told that this was an issue with this year model, nor have I received anything in the mail about it. The Ford Dealership above was where I bought the truck and all the oil changes, ect., have been done. I have researched this problem and have come across a class action lawsuit that describes what happened with my truck. Ford has not notified me to this problem. What else should I do to resolve this?
This vehicle has a 2.7 eco boost engine that is junk. It has been at Summit Ford from March 8, 2022 and is still there as of 6-17-2022. The vehicle has had to be taken back 2 times within this time frame. The motor looses compression on cylinder 5 which we have dumped 781.43 out of pocket and extended warranty has paid 1028.00. The last time I picked it up from the dealership I got 20 miles and it loss compression. I turned back and took it to the dealership. I told them it did the same thing. Since returning it we now find out it loss compression in cylinder 5 and now needs a new motor. The vehicle has 78168 miles, all highway miles. Ford has agreed to pay $5,000 towards engine and remaining balance is owed by us. Ford has issues with this 2.7. A 2016 f150 has...

I was making a left turn onto a busy highway on March 29th, and my truck shut off. A message appeared on the screen that said Auto start/stop shift to P, then restart engine. A battery and wrench symbol appeared. I almost was t-boned as a result of the malfunction.\ I bought the vehicle at Causeway Ford in Manahawkin with 62,000 miles and have only had it for a month. I took vehicle there for repair on March 30th. The dealership claimed they performed a hard reset and was able to correct the issue. I had the vehicle for 12 days since, and the issue reoccured almost causing another accident. I am furious.
