Truck is stalling at low speeds or idle when in drive or reverse causing me to get stranded in turns or at stop lights. No check engine lights have come on and the dealership said to wait but it’s happening constantly. Occasionally the auto start stop will say it’s failed but the stalling occurs when it’s enabled and disabled

My F150 constantly needs oil and seems to lag when the oil tank is low. 163000km on the engine. I've heard other 2019 f150 drivers have the same problem. It also has a hard shift after sitting for the night, it will drop gears while going uphill which seems to be from third gear to fourth but instead drops to 3rd again creating a clunk noise. It hasn't caused an accident or anything yet but from my last truck this thing definitely was not built the way it should have been. I think Ford needs to have a serious look at these trucks before someone gets hurt.

Transmission has a defective CDF drum assembly causing transmission to loose bypass hydraulic pressure. This is causing transmission to hesitate between gears during acceleration and Ford Dealer diagnosed failure and recommends replacing transmission as clutch packs are failing as well. Harsh downshifts as well. Contacted Ford Customer Service issued case number, then told they would not render and assistance is $9000. cost of.transmission replacement.

I drive a 2019 Ford F-150 with the 3.5L engine and 10 speed transmission. I have received a warning for low fuel pressure, trouble starting, and the truck has cut off once after turning over. It never fails to crank, however, it may take 5 or so seconds of cranking to get it to start. I have had the check engine light come on one time over the last couple of months of the issues starting; the code it showed was a P00C6. I have not brought the vehicle in for service as it just started a couple months ago when it got hot outside and there was a recent recall that did not include this VIN but matches the issue exactly. The warning states to not drive the vehicle and to get it towed if fuel is not low. The recall states there is not a current fix for...

Had oil change 7 times in one year and each time they indicate at the place I get oil changed that it is a quart or more low before 3,000 miles of usage after oil change. My car is suppose to take unleaded gas or higher and it knocks if I use unloaded. Now my catalytic converter is going out and it is not covered under warranty unless it is consequential to other problems. Well there appears to be engine problems that are not being addressed and I have a warranty and have taken it in. But they do not look any deeper into the problem except for computer scan and the warranty people won’t give me any answers on what they will do if there is engine problems.

The metal fuel line from the canister up to the high press fuel rail developed a crack and ruptured without warning. The vehicle was unsafe to drive because it poured a significant amount of gasoline onto the ground when the fuel pump came on. The vehicle was towed to the dealer for repair. The fuel line was inspected by the dealer's technician, rupture was confirmed and both fuel supply and return lines were replaced. After repair was performed, the dealer service representative showed me the fuel line that was replaced.

The Ford F-150 cam phaser issue primarily affects models from 2011 to 2020 with the 3.5L EcoBoost and 5.0L V8 engines. The cam phasers, which are components in the engine's variable valve timing system, are designed to adjust the timing of the camshafts to optimize engine performance and efficiency. The problem arises when the cam phasers start to fail or become noisy, often producing a rattling or ticking sound, particularly on cold starts. This noise is due to the phasers not locking properly or wearing out prematurely, leading to improper timing adjustments. Over time, this can result in reduced engine performance, poor fuel economy, and in some cases, engine damage if not addressed. Ford has issued Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and extended warranties for some vehicles to address this issue. In many cases, repairs involve replacing the cam phasers, timing chains, and associated components, which can be costly. The issue...

Fuel tank purge valve issue causing multiple idling and performance issues, eventually resulted in break down. Tank was found to be imploded upon mechanical inspection.

The variable camshaft timing (VCT) solenoid becomes gummed up, causing the engine to lag. Specifically after driving on the interstate or highway and then sitting at a red light. The VCT does not perform properly and the engine idle drops, causing the truck to stall and die at the light. Online forums show this to be a common problem for the past couple generations of this Ford 5.0 L motor and always seems to occur between 80,000 and 100,000 miles.

12/26/2023 Re: VIN: Case#: I purchased this truck new 4/1/2019 and purchased a Ford Extended warranty(Ford Protect) the following month for 5 years/125K miles. This was my second F150 with the 3.5 ecoboost engine. Since that time it has been serviced continuously by Ford Dealerships . At no time during that time period under warranty has any Ford dealership mentioned that there were service bulletins out to the dealerships with regard to failing Cam phasers. From research that I have done over the weekend there is apparently a New type phaser being used on F150’s since 2021 that corrects the problem. If Ford and all of the Ford dealerships knew of this common problem why were not the Ford customers notified of the issue? I went in for an oil change last week and the technician noted a tiny sound when the engine started. I went back the following week...

Drivers side wiper arm is visibly loose. It does not make constant contact with the windshield Engine consumes 3 quarts of oil in less then 2k miles, it currently has 57,818 on odometer, has been regularly serviced Ford recommend 91 or above octane to curve “pinging and pre detonation”. Have run 91 octane fuel for last 5 tanks and continues to misfire and ping between 1500-2000 rpms while under no load besides the weight of the vehicle

I got the truck with 10,00 miles and currently have 47,000 miles. I have been having oil burning issues since the beginning, but it has gotten worse. When I was adding the oil myself before having the dealership do it I was having to add almost 4 qts per 5-6 thousand miles. I have been taking it to the dealership every 1000 miles for oil consumption test. Typically, my oil burns over 1/2 qt per 1000 miles so the dealership claims. I have also claimed about harsh shifting and clunking noises. Most recently I took it in for the harsh shifting of the transmission and 4 wheel drive while the did the oil test. They reflashed the transmission and topped off the oil. The dealership then forgot to put the oil cap back on (I didn't think I had to check their work) the next day after a short drive...

My truck rough idles and shakes violently and then stalls and an error comes up in the dash telling me “auto startstop shift to P then restart engine” Has happened numerous times. Truck currently has 44,xxx miles. This is extremely dangerous at any light, turning intersection, or stop sign. I have read many online threads through online forums of this happening in other f150s to no avail from owners and dealers alike.

Recent oil analysis(mid October 2021) indicates a greater than 5% fuel dilution. The Cummins ASTM method of testing only permits a greater than 5% statement so fuel dilution could be much higher. First sample a year ago indicated 3% dilution. Many factors could contribute to this per research and I had advised Ford dealer with printed reports and they would not do anything at all about this stating it is standard. Oil report indicates a "severe" issue. Ford dealer wouldn't even look into possible causes to rule out. I have concern for a possible engine compartment fire/explosion might happen or possible degradation of engine leading to other possible incidents. Reports and vehicle are available. No indicator lamps or other means to know of this issue without independent testing of oil samples. Fuel mileage is averaging 17MPG.

OUR BRAND NEW 2019 FORD F150 WAS HAVING SHIFTING PROBLEMS. VERY ROUGH SHIFT FROM 5 TO 6TH ETC. CLUNKY. CALLED DEALER. WAS TOLD IT WOULD "EVEN OUT" DRIVING FROM TX TO GA IT ONLY GOT WORSE. DEALERSHIP IN GA SAYS IT WAS SHIPPED LOW OF TRANSMISSION FLUID. IT IS A CLOSED SYSTEM, SO THEY SAID IT HAD TO BE SHIPPED FROM THE FACTORY LOW. WE DROVE 5500 MILES WITH A TRANSMISSION THAT WAS 2 QTS LOW AND GOT NO ERRORS, LIGHTS OR NOTIFICATIONS. WE PICKED UP THE TRUCK ON OCT 10, 2020. IT STILL FELT VERY CLUNKY, SO WE TRIED IN NOVEMBER AND EARLY DECEMBER TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT AGAIN. THEY COULD NOT GET A LOANER ETC. IT WAS NOT SERVICED A SECOND TIME AT THIS POINT. ON DEC 24TH AROUND, WE WERE DRIVING DOWN I 20 GOING ROUGHLY 70MPH. THANKFULLY, MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING. THE TRUCK BEGAN TO...

NOTICED DURING SUMMER 2020 MONTHS THE TRUCK WHEN IDLING AT STOP WOULD VIBRATE AND TACHOMETER WOULD BOUNCE. RECENTLY DURING JULY TO SEPTEMBER THE TRUCK WHEN STOPPED WOULD IDLE ROUGH THEN SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY HAVING TO PUT IN PARK AND RESTART THE TRUCK! THE LAST TIME IT DID IT I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT ON A CITY STREET AND IT JUST SHUT DOWN AND I HAD TO RESTART THE TRUCK. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES SINCE JULY. I TOOK IT TO TWO FORD DEALERS AND NEITHER COULD REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT FIX IT.
