My 2019 F150 10R80 transmission failure it would jerk between gears also down gears on highway speed on its own The truck has 92k miles
Had oil change 7 times in one year and each time they indicate at the place I get oil changed that it is a quart or more low before 3,000 miles of usage after oil change. My car is suppose to take unleaded gas or higher and it knocks if I use unloaded. Now my catalytic converter is going out and it is not covered under warranty unless it is consequential to other problems. Well there appears to be engine problems that are not being addressed and I have a warranty and have taken it in. But they do not look any deeper into the problem except for computer scan and the warranty people won’t give me any answers on what they will do if there is engine problems.
Transmission with no prior issues started to delay shift and have a hard time shifting through gears then would skip gears and get stuck in gears cause the truck to harshly stall and jerk, front collision warning randomly coming on just going down the road
The APIM becomes inoperative at random times for ~8 hours. When this happens the entire dashboard goes black and you can’t tell your speed, turn signals, rpm, engine temp, oil pressure, etc. You are driving with no indicators and have no idea what your speed is or any other critical indication. APIM stands for Accessory Protocol Interface Module, also known as the Ford SYNC computer. It's a key component of the SYNC system in Ford vehicles. Ford has equipped vehicles with the APIM since its inception, but there have been complaints and recalls related to it.
My wife was driving about 40 mph and the emergency collision alarm came on causing the vehicle to abruptly try to stop. San alarm went off in the dash indicating an imminent crash causing my wife to almost lose control of the vehicle. There was no vehicle in front of us and none in the opposing lane or behind us to trigger this response. My wife speculated maybe a bird flew across in front of us but I dodn,t see that. it was very alarming and almost caused her to lose control of the vehicle. I had this happen to me driving alone at about 40 mph. The only difference , there was a vehicle in front of m E but I was not close enough to trigger this safety alarm. The vehicle in front of me was not stopped and I was not close enough to trigger this response....
Automatic emergency braking system unavailable, front collision camera failure
While driving vehicle displays "Service Advance Trac", "Pre collision assist not available", "hill assist not available" and the drive mode will not work. Brake lights are also on all the time as well. Dealership says the vehicles steering column needs to be replaced only 2 months after purchase. Dealer has diagnosed the issue but did not provide codes.
On July 14, 2022, I took my F150 to Ford and it was determined that the 10 speed transmission was going to need to be replaced. I had 60,400 miles on it when it starts having major malfunction going on in the Powertrain. At the time the transmission replacement was being done, it was Ford’s knowledge that the Cam phasers were not functioning correctly.. causing sudden jerk and knocking.. Cam Phasers we’re not replace last year nor looked at, even though I told them that there was sudden jerks happening. It was under warranty at that time (last year). Ford also knew that reprogramming the trucks software, does not correct any of the problems that they are having. Now at 70,000 miles I’m going back in to, Southwest Ford in Hudson Oaks, Texas, to get these parts replaced as soon as they are available. They are requesting $700 (just like...
Every time I start my vehicle 2 error messages appear on the instrument cluster saying crash dectection camera has malfunction and that crash detection has been disabled. Ford dealership says they can’t fix it and that I am stuck with it like that. They have tried blaming it on safelite for replacing the windshield with a lower quality windshield.
When accelerating the transmission will grind in neutral. Let of gas and will finally shift in gear. Happened 2 years ago when I bought it new. Now 3 times in the last 2 months. Ford dealers where I live don't have transmission mechanics. Shifts all over the place and has metal rattling noise. Unsafe to drive with just lest then 30k miles.
My electrical system failed and then caught fire. The entire situation started 4 days ago where my "dome" or "cargo" light kept turning on even though the car was off. 3 days ago my alarm would go off every 15 minutes until I unplugged the battery. I disconnected the battery over night hoping to reset the computer. After reconnecting the battery I got a rear "LEFT REAR door ajar" message on the dash. After inspecting the sensor and wiring harness in LEFT REAR door, I found no issue. However, now "FRONT LEFT door ajar" message appeared on dash along with "LEFT REAR door ajar." Also a litany of other warning lights involving cameras, emergancy braking, etc. came on. While attempting to drive to dealership to have them inspect the issue. The wiring harness behind the back seat on the RIGHT SIDE of the vehicle began smoking. Smoke began billowing from...
warning light comes on intermittently . Took to ford dealer and was told aftermarket bug deflecter was causing the issue. My co worker has the same exact vehicle without deflector and has the same problem. My vehicle has only 22000 miles and this has being an ongoing issue from since 2019. They will not honor their warranty and was told to take it back to the ford dealer i bought it from. This is a safety issue because it startles you when it goes off and you are nowhere close to a vehicle.
on 3/6/2020 I was in a serious car accident in the vehicle. which required surgeries for not only myself but also other drivers on the road. The driver air bags did not deploy, the turck was totaled and had body damage around the entire vehicle. There was a blood stain from my head hitting the driver door window but no air bag deployment. The gas pedal was not attached when reviewing the photos taken. The collision detection did not detect. we have asked Ford Motor Company to come and look at the car as it has been in a protective hold but the response from FMC was that due to covid they would not send anyone and we were left on out own. There were no warning messages, lamps, lights or indicators prior to the collision.
While driving down a two lane street, a van ran in front of me causing me to T-bone that vehicle. The advance warning did not activate, the brakes did not automatically activate, and worst, the air bag did not deploy causing me some injuries.
The collision warning appears random and not even close to a vehicle. I’m Alamo experience problems with the power train (truck jerks) and not other problems. I have been having the same problems since 2020. My truck is at the dealership and now Ford engineers are involved because the trucks has multiple codes and unable to figure out the problem. My truck has been at the dealership since May 17-June 1st and June 7 to current.
MY TRUCK WENT 3 FORD LOCATIONS AND NO ONE REALLY KNOWS WHY THE SAFETY BREAKS DO NOT WORK. THEY CLAIM THE CAR MISS THE CCM, THEY HAVE NO OTHER CODES OR GUIDELINES TO MAKE IT WORK. THE PRE-ASS COLLISION RARELY ACTIVATES AND THE BRAKES DOES NOT APPLY. THE AUTO START STOP ALSO IS NOT LONGER WORKING
IN MOTION, INTERSTATE HIGHWAY MERGE LANE. I HAVE A 2019 FORD F150 EQUIPPED WITH A PRE-COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM. THE VEHICLE MILEAGE IS APPROXIMATELY 12,500. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE NEW. DURING MY VEHICLE OWNERSHIP THE COLLISION AVOIDANCE SYSTEM HAS ALWAYS BEEN SET TO 'APPLY BRAKING' AND ALERT SET TO 'HIGH' THE SYSTEM HAS ALERTED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS, HOWEVER THE AEB NEVER ENGAGED THE BRAKES. I WAS RECENTLY IN A COLLISION, WHILE THE SYSTEM ALERTED, AND SHOULD HAVE ENGAGED THE AEB. THE PRE-COLLISION AEB DID NOT APPLY THE BRAKES. THE COLLISION WAS MINOR; THE PRE-COLLISION AEB SYSTEM FAILED. OTHER CONCERNS FOR CONSIDERATION. IF THE PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM CAN FAIL, COULD THE SYSTEM ALSO APPLY BRAKES WHEN THERE IS NO DANGER OF A COLLISION. A FAILED SYSTEM IS A FAILED SYSTEM. I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE A RESPONSE AND ASSURANCE FROM FORD MOTOR CORPORATION; BEFORE I HAVE THE DAMAGE REPAIRED, I WOULD LIKE FORD TO...
