I BOUGHT THE CAR WITH 15 MILES ON IT. EVER SINCE I GOT IT THE CAR BEEN STARLING. ENGINE LIGHTS COMES ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID ITS A FALSE CODE. THE 2ND TIME THEY SAID ITS AIR FILTER.THE 3RD TIME THEY SAID ITS BODY THROTTLE. TODAY THE CAR SHUT DOWN WHILE DRIVING IT, IM AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR THE SAME PROBLEM THAT JAS NEVER GEO FIX. THEY BLAMING ME FOR NOT TAKING IT EVERYTIME IT STALLS. THERE IS DIFERRENT PROBLEM WITH THE CAR THAT I DON'T STATED. I'M REALLY FRUSTRATED AFTER FOR TRIP HERE AT TJE DEALERSHIP AND CANT EVEN FOUND THE PROBLEM. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR STARTED TO PUTTER AND THEN STALLED WHILE ON THE WAY TO WORK. THE VEHICLE ENGINE IS SHOT I AM TOLD BY THE MECHANIC I HAVE USED FOR 10 YEARS NOW. CALLED THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THE ISSUE AND WAS ADVISED I COULD HAVE IT TOWED IN AT MY EXPENSE AND HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT AT MY EXPENSE SINCE THE CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP I AM SURE WILL SAY IT IS NOT DUE TO FAULTY PARTS OR ANY ERROR ON THEIR PART AND I WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED AGAIN SO $120 FOR TOWING AND 79.99 PLUS TAX FOR THEIR ASSESSMENT OF THE VEHICLE JUST TO BE TOLD IT IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM BUT I DON'T HAVE MUCH OTHER CHOICE.

THE CAR SMELT LIKE SOMETHING WAS BURNING, I HAD IT TOWED TO MOMENTUM HYUNDAI FAIRFIELD, CA. THEY ARE SAYING NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THE CAR.
BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW AND AT 20,000 MILES IT ALL STARTED TO GO DOWN HILL. MY CAR SHAKES & STALLS HESITATES BAD LOSS OF POWER ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENTS ON A DAILY BASIS. I WAS TOLD I NEED A NEED ENGINE BECAUSE OF SLUDGE INDICATING THAT I HADN'T HAD REGULAR OIL CHANGES. THE CAR IS TWO YEARS OLD AND I'VE HAD FIVE OIL CHANGES. THEY WON'T PAY FOR THE ENGINE BUT I'VE SEEN THAT THIS IS AN ON GOING PROBLEM FOR THESE CARS. NOT MY CAR IS SMOKING EVEN WORST. I DROVE 200 MILES FROM MY HOME TO CHARLEVOIX, MICHIGAN. WHILE DRIVING I NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE WAS MAKING A 'WHOOSHING SOUND' EVERY TIME I ACCELERATED. THIS HAPPENED AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND AT NORMAL CITY DRIVING SPEEDS. RATHER THAN DRIVE THE CAR HOME, I TOOK IT TO THE CLOSEST DEALERSHIP SOME 60 MILES AWAY AND REPORTED THE PROBLEM. CAR HAS A 2.0TURBO ENGINE. THE INLET DUCT THAT BRINGS AIR INTO THE TURBO SEVERED AT THE POINT OF ATTACHMENT TO THE TURBO. THE TECHNICIAN AT THE DEALER SAID THAT HE COULD NOT TELL IF THE DUCT MELTED OR WAS CUT. OTHER THAN OIL CHANGES, THE CAR HAS NEVER REQUIRED ENGINE SERVICE. HE DEEMED THE CAR UNSAFE TO DRIVE OFF THE LOT., HE SAID IN HIS WRITE UP THAT ANY OBJECT COULD FIND ITS WAY INTO THE TURBO BECAUSE THE DUCT IS UNATTACHED. PROBLEMS STARTED WITH RATTLING NOISE FROM ENGINE, AND ENGINE LOOSING POWER/SURGING. THIS WAS 2 YEARS AGO WITH 20,000 MILES ON CAR, AND TOOK TO DEALER WHO APPLIED ECM UPDATE. AIR INTAKE HOSE FROM THE AIR FILTER BOX TO THE TURBOCHARGER INLET - 2.0 TURBO ENGINE - MELTED AND BROKE. REDUCED POWER AND POTENTIALLY FOREIGN DEBRIS CAN ENTER THE TURBOCHARGER AND DAMAGE IT, REDUCING POWER EVEN FURTHER. APPARENTLY MANY OWNERS WITH THE 2.0 TURBO ENGINE HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE. I WENT TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING AND THEY TOLD ME IT COULD BE A MONTH BEFORE THE BACK ORDERED PART ARRIVES. I WAS NOT OFFERED ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 56,150.

TAKATA RECALL......I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AND I HEARD A LOUD NOISE, SHORTLY THEREAFTER, THE CAR DASHBOARD SAID THAT THE CAR WAS RUNNING HOT AND IT SHUT DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. I WAS ON A CITY STREET APPROACHING A RED LIGHT, AS I WAS COMING TO A STOP MY CAR'S ENGINE SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. OIL LIGHT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AND BATTERY LIGHT WERE ILLUMINATED. PERFORMED OIL CHANGES AT TWO DIFFERENT AUTO REPAIR FACILITIES WITHIN 4 DAY SPAN. THE REASON FOR THIS IS EACH SERVICE SHOWED OVERFILL ON OIL DIPSTICK. SHOWED THE SERVICE ADVISERS AT BOTH FACILITIES. I TOOK VEHICLE TO HYUNDAI DEALER AND PURCHASED A REPLACEMENT OIL LEVEL INDICATOR AS PER VIN. THEY SAY I HAD WRONG DIPSTICK FOR ENGINE. PLACED REPLACEMENT DIPSTICK IN ENGINE AND SHOWED HYUNDAI SERVICE REP THAT OIL LEVEL STILL SHOWED OVERFILL. I HAD THEM CHANGE OIL AND THEY SHOWED ME THAT REPLACEMENT DIPSTICK REGISTERED CORRECT OIL LEVEL. SO, EITHER THIS ENGINE IS OPERATING ( 38000 MILES) AT UNDER FILL, OVERFILL OR PROPER FILL LEVEL. BEEN USING MANUFACTURERS OIL VISCOSITY RECOMMENDATION (5W-20 AND DEALER USED 5W-30 SYN/BLD).

AT ABOUT 12:00 PM ON 7 APRIL 2017, I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT ON A MAJOR THOROUGHFARE (50 MPH SPEED LIMIT). WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I DEPRESSED THE GAS PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO MOVE. MY VEHICLE SHUT DOWN IN SEPTEMBER 2016 WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT ON THE HIGHWAY . I PULLED OFF THE ROAD IMMEDIATELY AND HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALER. I WAS DRIVING AT 6:20 AM ON THE NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE. I WAS IN THE LEFT LANE AND GOING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH USING THE SCC (SMART CRUISE CONTROL). ALL OF THE SUDDEN, THE LIGHTS START FLASHING AND THE CAR COMPLETELY TURNS OFF. THE HOSE LEADING TO THE TURBO HAS MELTED OFF. THE CLAMP WITH HOSE RUBBER REMAIN FIRMLY ATTACHED TO THE TURBO WITH THE REMAINDER OF THE HOSE HAS FALLEN BELOW THE TURBO AIR INLET. THE ISSUE OCCURRED SUDDENLY FROM ONE NIGHT TO THE NEXT MORNING. UNDER LOAD, THE TURBO OPERATIONAL NOISE WAS EXTREMELY LOUD COMPARED TO USUAL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER AGAIN WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT OIL WAS LEAKING INTO THE HOUSING UNIT AND CAUSED ACCELERATION FAILURE. THE GEAR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 22,000.

WHILE STATIONARY I NOTICED THE CAR'S ENGINE SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS TICKING. I DROVE OFF ABOUT 35 MILES PER HOUR WHEN MY 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA LIMITED STALLED WHILE DRIVING.
