Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 HYUNDAI SONATA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND SMOKE STARTED TO EMIT FROM UNDERNEATH THE HOOD AND THE AIR CONDITIONING VENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED TO THE SIDE AND THE CONTACT QUICKLY JUMPED OUT OF THE VEHICLE JUST BEFORE THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT EXPLODED AND THE HOOD FLEW OPEN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT CAME TO THE SCENE AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED BUT THERE WAS NO FIRE REPORT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE REMAINS OF THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A JUNK YARD. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000.
