I'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION FROM THE START. I'VE HAD THE TRANS CONTROL MODULE REPLACED TWICE. PROBLEMS INCLUDE DELAYED STARTS, SHUTTERING WHEN SHIFTING, REVVING HIGH WHEN ABOUT TO SHIFT, OR STICKING IN GEAR AND NOT SHIFTING WHEN IT SHOULD. I KEPT TAKING IT IN, AND EACH TIME THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T FIND A CODE, SO THEY COULDN'T FIX IT. THEY FINALLY REPLACED THE TCM, WHEN MY CAR JUST STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE LANE, DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC ON THE FREEWAY. I COULDN'T GET IT TO MOVE, SO I SHUT IT OFF, THEN IT WOULDN'T START AGAIN. IT TOOK EMERGENCY VEHICLES TO GET ME TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BECAUSE OF ALL THE TRAFFIC WHIZZING BY. FORD SAYS MY VEHICLE 'SAFE TO DRIVE'. WILL TAKE 2-3 MONTHS FOR PARTS. CAR HAS ALWAYS HAS A HEISTATION ON TAKE OFF ROLE BACKWARDS ON INCLINES AND SHUDDERS LIKE CRAZY! MY WIFE WHO OWNS A 2014 FORD ESCAPE REFUSES TO DRIVE THE CAR COMPLAINING SHE DOESN'T FEEL SAFE IN IT. JUST TOOK IT BACK TO FORD WEEK OF FEBURARY 1ST AND THEY ARE NOW TELLING ME THE SEALS AND CLUTCH NEED TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $1500.00 TO ME AS IT IS OUT OF WARRANTY.
