DURING COLD WEATHER ENVIRONMENTS, DOORS FREEZE AND ARE UNABLE TO OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE.
PROBLEM WITH 2016 F150S DOOR LATCHES WON'T LATCH SOMETIMES WHEN COLD ALLOWING DOOR TO FLY OPEN WHEN DRIVING. RECALL WAS PREVIOUSLY PERFORMED BUT APPARENTLY DIDN'T FIX PROBLEM.
DURING FREEZING CONDITIONS, REAR DOOR WILL NOT LATCH SHUT. PARKED DRIVEWAY.
MY FORD WAS TAKEN TO THE FOX FORD IN WAYNESBURG, PA TO FIX THE 2 RECALLS ON 12/30/2019. ONE OF THE RECALLS WERE REGARDING THE DOOR NOT OPENING OR CLOSING. THEY SAID THEY REPAIRED BOTH RECALLS. AND ONE WEEK LATER ON 01/06/2020 THE DRIVERS DOOR COULD NOT GET INTO HAD TO CRAWL OVER THE PASSENGER SIDE IN ORDER TO START THE TRUCK. THEN ONCE THE DOOR WAS PUSHED OPEN FROM THE INSIDE THE DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE. THE TRUCK SAT FOR APPROXIMATELY 15 MINUTES TO WARM UP AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH CLOSE UNLESS YOU USED THE LOCK. CALLED THE FOX FORD BACK AND TOLD THEM AND THEY RESCHEDULED MY TRUCK BACK IN ON 01/13/20. THEY CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THAT THEY TOOK A LOOK AT THE DOOR AGAIN AND SAID THAT THEY COULD NOT SEE ANYTHING ELSE THEY COULD DO EXCEPT PUT MORE LUBE ON/IN IT ....
DOORS LOCKS ARE FREEZING UP AND DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE ON MY 2016 F150. TRUCK HAVE BEEN SERVICED ON 12/6/18, 8/3/18, 4/13/18 AND I'M GOING TO BRING IT IN 12/19/19 FOR SERVICE FOR FROZEN DOOR LOCKS. MY VEHICLE STATIONARY AT WORK ON 12/15/19 AND I COULDN'T LOCK THE DOOR UNTIL 20MINUTES LATER. THEN 12/12/19 IN MORNING I WAS DRIVING AND THE DOOR WAS UNLOCK I PULLED OVER AND IT WOULDN'T LOCK SO MY WIFE HAD TO HOLD THE DOOR UNTIL I DROPPED HER OFF. THIS IS A MAJOR CONCERN WITH FORD. THIS IS A INCONVENIENCE FOR ME AND FORD SHOULD COMPENSATE ME FOR THIS ISSUE OR FORD SHOULD BUY THE CAR BACK BECAUSE SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE DOORS AND THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN.
2016 F150 CREW CAB DOOR HANDLES FREEZE AND EITHER, DO NOT OPEN, WILL NOT LATCH PROPERLY, OR NOT CLOSE AT ALL. I HAVE SEEN DISCUSSIONS ONLINE CONCERNING RECALLS FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE, YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL, BUT WHEN I CHECK THE VIN NUMBER IT SAYS THERE ARE NO RECALLS. THIS IS AN EXTREME SAFETY ISSUE. IT HAS COME OPEN WHILE DRIVING, AND NOT OPENED ON OTHER OCCASIONS. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE TEMPERATURES ARE AROUND OR BELOW FREEZING.
THE POWER LIFT RUNNING BOARDS OPERATE WHILE THE TRUCK IS IN MOTION AND WHEN IN PARK THE DOOR OPENS TO ACTIVE THIS FEATURE THE BOARD COMES OUT AND STAYS OUT BUT MORE OFTEN IT JUST RETRACTS CAUSING A MISS STEP AND FALLING WHEN EXITING THE VEHICLE.
WHILE DIVING ONTO AN INTERSTATE ON RAMP, THE BACK GLASS SHATTERED. NOTHING STRUCK THE GLASS, IT JUST BROKE. WHEN THE WINDOW WAS REPLACED, IT WAS DISCOVERED THE REAR DEFROSTER WIRING HAD BURNED BOTH ON THE WINDOW AND IN THE TRUCK. THE REAR DEFROSTER OVERHEATED THE WINDOW AND CAUSED IT TO SHATTER. IT NEARLY STARTED A FIRE.
VEHICLE EXHAUST LEAKS INTO CABIN. FORD SAYS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. PAINT FALLING OFF FENDERS. FORD SAYS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. BACK UP CAMERA WORKED UNTIL FORD DEALER WORKED ON IT, HAS NOT WORKED SINCE THEN AND DEALER (HOUSE FORD ADDRESS: 3538 HWY 61 W, RED WING, MN 55066) WONT OR CAN'T FIX IT.
TAILGATE DISCONNECTED FROM HINGES ON OUR 2016 F150. TRAVELTRAVELLING IN A 30MPH ZONE WITH TAILGATE OPEN LYING DOWN TO TRANSPORT A DOOR. TRUCK PASSING OVER A SHALLOW BREAK IN PAVEMENT AT WHICH TIME WE HEARD A LOUD THUMP. IMMEDIATE INSPECTION DISCOVERED TAILGATE DISENGAGED FROM HINGES LANDING ON ONE HINGE AND BUMPER. SAFETY CABLES HELD BUMPER FROM FALLING OFF COMPLETELY. REVIEWED WITH SERVICE AT FORD DEALERSHIP WHERE PURCHASED. PRIOR TO REVEALING WHAT HAPPENED THE AGENT ACKNOWLEDGED HE HAS HEARD OF THIS ISSUE ON ANOTHER FORD TRUCK LOCALLY. IN THAT INCIDENT THE GATE WAS DESTROYED FROM LANDING IN ROAD. ONCE I REVEALED OUR INCIDENT HE INDICATED THAT IT IS NOT A WARRANTY MATTER EVEN THOUGH OUR VEHICLE IS LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD AT JUST 12,000 MILES. HIS ASSISTANT INDICATED THERE IS A PART AVAILABLE TO PREVENT THE GATE FROM BOUNCING AND SLIDING OUT. SUGGESTED THAT HAVING A PART AVAILABLE TO PREVENT...
SEAL SEAMS CAUSING LEAKING INTO INTERIOR OF VEHICLE. CAUSING CARPET TO GET WET AND WATER TO COLLECT IN THE DOORS.
ON THE NEWER FORD F150'S THE MASTER LOCK SITS OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR FRAME. CRIMINALS CAN BREAK THIS LOCK AND GRAIN ACCESS TO THE VEHICLE IN LESS THAN 30 SECONDS. I HAVE HAD MY TRUCK BROKEN INTO 3 TIMES NOW DUE TO THIS SECURITY ISSUE. FORD REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE THEY ENGINEERED INTO THE F150. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN MY TRUCK AND WILL IMEDIETLY BE LOOKING FOR A REPLACEMENT THAT IS NOT A FORD.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. LAMARQUE FORD (3101 WILLIAMS BLVD, SUITE F, KENNER, LA 70065, (504) 443-2500) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
I HAVE CONTACTED GUS JOHNSON FORD NUMEROUS TIMES TO HAVE MY RECALLS FIXED THEY ALWAYS TELL ME THEY ARE ORDERING THE PARTS. THIS STARTED OVER A YEAR AGO IN THE WINTER WITH MY DOOR UNABKLE TO CLOSE. I NEED MY RECALL FIXED ASAP
PLASTIC TRACKS ON PANORAMIC SUNROOF BROKE. WHILE STATIONARY. I WAS UNABLE TO CLOSE SUNROOF.
THE PANORAMIC SUN ROOF WILL NOT CLOSE AND IS STUCK IN THE PARTIALLY OPENED POSITION. THE GLASS HAS A PARTIAL CRACK IN IT AND I AM CONCERNED THAT IT WILL SHATTER INJURING ANY PASSENGERS. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 21000 MILES. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A DESIGN DEFECT. I CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY REFUSED TO TAKE ANY CORRECTIVE ACTION ON THIS PROBLEM. ONE MONTH EARLIER THE ROOF WOULD NOT CLOSE AND I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY PRESSED ON THE GLASS AND FINALLY THE GLASS PANEL RETURNED INTO THE TRACK AND CLOSED.
TAILGATE OPENS BY ITSELF. HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING AT LEAST ONCE (THAT I KNOW OF BECAUSE I HAVE A BED CAP ON THAT HAS HELD IT IN PLACE). THE ONE TIME I NOTICED IT I WAS TOWING A TRAILER AND WAS FORTUNATE THAT THE TAILGATE DID NOT GET WEDGED BETWEEN THE TRAILER JACK ON A TURN. I HAVE NOW NOTICED THAT THE TAILGATE WILL OPEN AND THE LATCH MECHANISM WILL CONTINUE TO FIRE EVEN AFTER THE TAILGATE IS DOWN,
ON 3/12/19, THIS VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A FEDERAL HIGHWAY WITH A DRIVER, AND (1) PASSENGER IN THE FRONT SEAT. EARLIER IN THE DAY, SAID VEHICLE WAS IN THE DEALERSHIP FOR A RECALL FIX. THE RECALL WAS TO FIX THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOOR LOCKING MECHANISMS FROM OPENING PREMATURELY. WHILE IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY AFTER LEAVING THE DEALERSHIP THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR CAME OPEN AND WOULD NOT LATCH ANY FURTHER. DURING THE INITIAL REPAIR PROCESS THERE WERE CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES WITH DEALERSHIP STAFF; AFTER SPEAKING WITH THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN FOLLOWING THE INCIDENT THEIR RESPONSE WAS, "THAT'S WHAT YOU GET." DUE TO INCIDENTS AT THE DEALERSHIP IT IS BELIEVED THE REPAIR WAS NOT COMPLETED CORRECTLY ON PURPOSE RISKING LIVES OF THOSE IN THE VEHICLE.
ELECTRIC TAILGATE DROPS OPEN WITHOUT BEING TRIGGERED AND WILL NOT CLOSE AND STAY CLOSED AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS. FINALLY WILL REMAIN CLOSED BUT MAY REPEAT PROCESS. STARTED IN DEC 2017 AND HAS CONTINUED UNTIL THE PRESENT DAY. RETURNED IT TO A FORD DEALER AND THEY FOUND NOTHING. NOW TAILGATE WILL NOT OPEN WHEN THE BUTTON ON THE TAILGATE IS PUSHED. YOU CAN OPEN TAILGATE WITH REMOTE FOB ONLY. TAILGATE OPENING USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN PARKED AND STATIONARY BUT HAS HAPPENED ONCE WHEN I WAS TRANSPORTING MY TRAVEL TRAILER ON THE HIGHWAY. LAST HAPPENED IN FEBRUARY 2019.
I WAS TOLD BY THE SALES PERSON, (XXXXX), THAT THE TRUCK IS UNDER A BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY, AND A FORD COMPANY WARRANTY THAT INCLUDES EVEN THE LIGHT BULB. AFTER JUST FEW DAYS OF DRIVING, I NOTICED SOME VIBRATION OF THE TRUCK, BAD OIL BURNING IN THE CABINE,GRIDING OF THE WHEELS WHEN I HAVE TO TAKE SHARP CORNERS AND MANY MORE ISSUES. CALLED THE COVINGTON FORD DEALER ABOUT THE PROBLEMS/ISSUES I HAVE WITH THE TRUCK. I WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT TO A FORD DEALER TO HAVE IT INSPECTED. DID THAT. CALLED COVINGTON FORD AND THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT OVER TO THEYR DEALER AND THEY WILL CHECKED AND FIX IT. LEFT THE TRUCK FOR OVER A WEEK WITH THEM I CALLED TO SEE WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY TRUCK. I WAS TOLD THEY FIXED EVERYTHING.NOW THE VIBRATION IS GETTING WORSE. CALLED AGAIN COVINGTON FORD WITH SAME PROBLEMS. I...

CONSUMER HAS REPORTED A RECALL ON OCT 2018 BUT STILL HAS NOT RECEIVED AN APPOINTMENT.*JB
REAR DOOR LATCHES WILL NOT OPEN WHEN IT'S VERY COLD OUTSIDE. HAVE HAD TWO RECALL SERVICES TO FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT IT PERSISTS.
HAD DOOR LATCH FREEZING TSB AND RECALL BOTH PERFORMED BY DEALER. ON FEB 8, 2019, DRIVERS DOOR ONCE AGAIN WOULD NOT LATCH SHUT DUE TO FREEZING OF THE LATCH. AFTER LETTING TRUCK IDLE WITH FULL HEAT ON FOR A WHILE, IT APPEARED TO HAVE THAWED ENOUGH TO LATCH. IT FLEW OPEN ON THE FIRST TURN I MADE. SOMEBODY IS GOING TO GET KILLED IF THIS PROBLEM ISN'T FIXED.
DURING LOW TEMPERATURES THE DOOR LATCH DOES NOT ENGAGE, LEAVING THE DOOR FREE TO SWING.
FROZEN DOOR LATCHES. DOORS FROZE SHUT IN 2017, AFTER OPENING, THE DRIVER'S DOOR APPEARED TO CLOSE, BUT FLEW OPEN ROUNDING A CORNER IN AN INTERSECTION. A SIMILAR ISSUE OCCURRED WITH THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR. JAN 24, 2018: WARRANTY SERVICE FOR A SIMILAR CONCERN, DOORS FROZEN SHUT OR AFTER OPENING WOULD NOT LATCH CLOSED (STATIONARY AND WHILE MOVING). TSB 16-0020 COMPLETED. FEB 2018: INTERMITTENT ISSUES WITH DOORS FAILING TO FULLY LATCH SHUT IN FREEZING WEATHER. THE DOOR WOULD OPEN APPROXIMATELY 1/2" WITH THE LOCK ENGAGED AND DOOR SHUT. DEC 22, 2018: WARRANTY SERVICE: PERFORMED CUSTOMER SATISFACTION RECALL 18NO3 TWO ADDITIONAL SERVICE VISITS REQUIRED BECAUSE THE LATCH MECHANISM WAS NOT OPERATING PROPERLY. PRIOR TO THE THIRD VISIT, THE DRIVER'S DOOR FLEW OPEN ROUNDING A CORNER WHILE DRIVING. AFTER THIRD VISIT IN EARLY JAN 2019, WE EXPERIENCE FREEZING TEMPERATURES (20S) FOR SEVERAL DAYS. THE TWO REAR DOORS (CREW CAB PICKUP) WOULD NOT UNLOCK...
2016 FORD F-150 SUPER CREW HAS ONGOING ISSUES WITH BOTH THE DOOR LATCHES NOT RE LATCHING OR RELEASING AND THE DOOR LOCKS NOT LOCKING OR UNLOCKING WHEN IN FREEZING CONDITIONS (4 DOORS AND ALL 4 HAVE DIFFERENT VARIATIONS OF THIS PROBLEM). ALL APPLICABLE RECALLS AND UPDATED RECALLS FROM FORD HAVE BEEN PERFORMED BY THE DEALERSHIP YET THE PROBLEM CONTINUES.
DOORS DO NO OPEN, FREEZE SHUT IN COLD WEATHER OR DOORS WILL NOT LATCH/LOCK IF THEY OPEN AT ALL. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH FORD AND HAD BEEN UNSUCCESSFULLY ADDRESSED IN TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS (TSBS) ISSUED BY FORD. THERE NEEDS TO BE A PERMANENT SOLUTION. ALSO THE WINDSHIELD WASHER SPRAYER FREEZES REGULARLY. THIS IS ALSO A KNOW ISSUE THAT HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED. IT IS DANGEROUS TO OPERATE A VEHICLE WHEN THE WINDSHIELD CANNOT BE CLEARED OF ROAD SPRAY, OBSCURING VISION,
HAVE GONE THROUGH 2 RECALL FIXES AND PROBLEM REMAINS: DOORS CAN BE OPENED BUT WILL NOT LATCH IN COLD WEATHER. IF DRIVING IS A NECESSITY, YOU DRIVE HOLDING THE DOOR CLOSED OR WITH BUNGIE CORDS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE LATCHES ARE NOT LATCHING AND FORD HAS YET TO BE ABLE TO FIX THIS
FREEZING DOOR LATCHES CAUSING THE DOOR NOT TO STAY SHUT IN COLD TEMPERATURES OR OPEN THE DOOR CAN FLY OPEN BECAUSE YOU THINK THAT IT IS SHUT WHILE YOU'RE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE DOOR LOSING PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND IF A OCCUPANT IS NOT SEATBELTED FLYING OUT OF THE VEHICLE THE DOORS ON THESE TRUCKS WILL NOT LATCH WHEN YOU SHUT THE DOOR THEY BOUNCE BACK OPEN AND THEN SOMETIMES YOU THINK THEIR LATCHED AND THEY'RE NOT THEN TAKING A TURN AND THE DOOR SWINGS OPEN FORD IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM THEY HAVE PUT OUT TSB'S AND FSA IN ORDER TO TRY TO REPAIR IT WITH NO SUCCESS I PERSONALLY HAVE HAD MY TRUCK IN THE SHOP FOR THIS ISSUE 5 TO 6 TIMES WITH NO FIX THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SCARES MY KIDS THAT ARE INSIDE THE BACK OF MY TRUCK WHEN THEIR DOOR...
MY 2016 FORD F150 SUPERCREW IS CURRENTLY UNDER A FORD RECALL FOR THE REAR DOORS FREEZING AND NOT LATCHING BACK CLOSED. IT HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND THE FORD OFFICIAL REPAIRS WERE DONE AND THE ISSUE IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. MY DOORS ARE CURRENTLY RATCHET STRAPPED CLOSED AND FORD WILL NOT GIVE ME A VEHICLE AND TAKE THE TRUCK BACK TO DO THE REPAIRS (AGAIN FOR THE 3RD TIME). THE ISSUE WAS UNDER A NHTSA RECALL AND THEIR ACTIONS HAVE STILL NOT RESOLVED THE ISSUE. THE ADVISOR AT THE DEALER SAID THERE IS NOW A NEW "LATEST AND GREATEST" REPAIR FOR THE ISSUE BUT THEY HAVE HAD ~40% OF THE VEHICLES RETURN AFTER THAT AS WELL.
UNDER 15 DEGREES DOOR LATCHES WILL NOT LATCH AND IF YOU GET THE DOOR TO LATCH AND DOORS ARE LOCKED WILL NOT UNLOCK TO BE ABLE TO OPEN DOORS CREATING A SAFETY HAZARD IF EMERGENCY OCCURS
HAD A FIRE START IN THE REAR SEAT AREA WHILE THE TRUCK WAS WARMING UP IN THE REMOTE START MODE . THE REMOTE START WAS FACTORY INSTALLED BY FORD . THE TRUCK WAS DECLARED A TOTAL LOSS
DRIVER DOOR AND PASSENGER DOOR WILL NOT SHUT WHEN IT HAS BEEN LEFT IN FREEZING TEMPERATURES. ON COLD MORNINGS WHEN I OPEN THE DRIVER SODE DOOR TO START THE TRUCK AND TRY TO CLOSE THE DOOR, IT WON'T LATCH
1/30/17 FRONT DOORS NOT LATCHING, RECALL COMPLETED. 11/19/18 DOORS AGAIN NOT LATCHING INCLUDING THE REAR DOORS NOW, RECALL COMPLETED 1/9/19 DOOR AGING NOT LATCHING. ENROUTE TO DROP OFF VEHICLE AT DEALERSHIP THE DOOR FLEW OPEN WHILE TAKING A CURVE IN THE ROADWAY. LUCKILY NOBODY WAS IN PASSENGER SEAT SUCH AS MY CHILDREN OR DOG. RECALL COMPLETED AND TOLD ALL PROBLEMS FIXED. 1/19/19 OUT OF TOWN WITH VEHICLE AND WAS UNABLE TO GET THE DOOR TO SHUT FOR OVER 2 HOURS. UNABLE TO MAKE THE 1 HOUR DRIVE HOME UNTIL DOOR WOULD LATCH. 1/21/19 TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP TO AGAIN, FOR THE 4TH TIME, HAVE THE DOORS LOOKED AT AGAIN. I HAVE NO SENSE OF SAFETY DRIVING MY VEHICLE AS I FEAR I WON'T BE ABLE TO SHUT DOOR OR THE DOOR WILL FLY OPEN. VERY SAD AFTER TAKING VEHICLE IN 4 TIMES AND EACH TIME TOLD THE PROBLEM IS FIXED....
WHEN COLD THE VEHICLE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH OR STAY CLOSED. SEEMS TO WORK WHEN MILD OR WARM. THE DOOR IS IN PERFECT ORIGINAL CONDITION - NO ACCIDENTS, ETC. WHILE SO FAR I CAN EVENTUALLY GET THE LATCH TO CATCH IT SEEMS THE DOOR LATCH CANNOT BE TRUSTED TO CLOSE AND STAY CLOSED SAFELY PROTECT THE OCCUPANTS.
THE DOOR LATCHING MECHANISM FAILS TO ENGAGE AND THE DOOR WILL NOT STAY CLOSED, POSING A SAFETY RISK WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. ACCORDING TO THE DEALER SOME OBJECTS WERE ABLE TO ENTRY THE MECHANISM VIA THE DOOR HANDLE AND STOP THE LATCH FROM ENGAGING.
WHEN TEMPERATURE GOES BELOW FREEZING, 32F DOOR WILL NOT LATCH AND STAY SHUT. HAPPENS CONSISTENTLY IN SUB 32F TEMPERATURES.
F150 FROZEN DOOR LATCHES. DURING WEATHER TEMPERATURES BELOW 30 DEGREES F, THE DOORS UNLOCK AND OPEN BUT DO NOT LATCH WHEN YOU TRY TO CLOSE THE DOOR. THIS HAPPENS WHILE THE TRUCK IS STATIONARY, AND HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY. WHEN IT HAPPENS, I SOMETIMES I HAD TO DRIVE TO WORK WHILE HOLDING THE DRIVER'S DOOR CLOSED WITH 1 HAND AND STEERING WITH THE OTHER. OTHER TIMES PUSHING DOWN ON THE LOCK ROD AND CLOSING THE DOOR WILL HOLD IT CLOSED. AFTER A 25 MINUTE DRIVE, THE LATCHES THAW OUT AND WORK. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON ALL 4 DOORS OF THE TRUCK. I'VE HAD THE TRUCK BACK TO THE DEALER 4 TIMES DURING THE PAST 2 WINTERS WHILE THEY ATTEMPTED TO REPAIR THE ISSUE. I HAD THE RECALL (TSB 16-0155) DONE AND THE PROBLEM CAME BACK 3 DAYS LATER. WHEN I CALLED TO REPORT THAT THIS DIDN'T SOLVE THE ISSUE, I WAS INSTRUCTED...
DOOR LATCHES ARE INOPERABLE IN TEMPS BELOW 30F. DOOR CANNOT BE OPENED AND/OR LATCHED CLOSED. TWO FORD RECALLS TO REMEDY THE ISSUE HAVE FAILED TO WORK SUCCESSFULLY ON EVERY DOOR. THIS MAKES THE TRUCK EITHER COMPLETELY INOPERABLE BECAUSE I CANT GAIN ENTRY OR A SAFETY HAZARD IF DOORS CANNOT BE LATCHED CLOSED. I ALSO FEAR NOT BEING ABLE TO GET MYSELF, OR WORSE, MY CHILDREN OUT OF THE VEHICLE IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY.
FOR MORE THAN 6 MONTHS I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET RECALL SERVICE FOR SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 17S33. THE LOCAL DEALER HAS NOT HAD THE PARTS NECESSARY TO DO THE WORK, AND THE LOCAL DEALER'S SERVICE REP SAYS THAT FORD IS NOT SENDING THEM ENOUGH PARTS TO COMPLY WITH THE RECALL.
DOOR LOCKS NOT LATCHING IN COLD WEATHER. DOORS CAN BE OPENED, BUT WILL NOT LATCH CLOSED WHEN TEMPERATURES ARE BELOW FREEZING. WORRIED THAT EVEN WHEN LATCHED THEY MAY OPEN WHILE DRIVING

PURCHASED USED 2016 F-150 IN OCT 2017. SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASE TAILGATE WOULD RANDOMLY OPEN WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. POWER TAILGATE WOULD ALSO OPEN WHEN KEY FOB WAS USED TO LOCK VEHICLE. TAIL LIGHTS WOULD ALSO ILLUMINATE BRIGHTLY AS IF BRAKES WERE APPLIED WHEN THEY WERE NOT WHEN VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. OTHER TIMES TAIL LIGHTS WOULD FLICKER ON AND OFF WHEN VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. WHEN COMPUTER WAS SCANNED NO TROUBLE CODES WERE FOUND. EVENTUALLY AFTER SEVERAL TRIPS TO BMW DEALERSHIP IN SPOKANE WA WHERE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WENDLE FORD IN SPOKANE WA. AT WENDLE FORD TECHNICIANS FOUND EXTREMELY FRAYED WIRING HARNESS IN AREA AT REAR OF TRUCK WHERE BED AND FRAME MEET. WENDLE TECH'S SAID THAT THEY HAD NEVER SEEN THIS TYPE OF DAMAGE / DEFECT BEFORE, AND WHEN CHECKING WITH FORD CORPORATE THERE WERE NO SERVICE BULLETINS REFERENCE THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM. THIS...

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE CONTACT CALLED BILL KNIGHT FORD AT (918) 526-2400 (LOCATED AT 9607 S MEMORIAL DR, TULSA, OK 74133) AND WAS INFORMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. EXTREME WIND NOISE COMING FROM DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR
THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR WILL FAIL TO LATCH PROPERLY OR WILL POP OPEN WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK IN JANUARY 2018.
THE SUN ROOF TRACK RATTLES IT HAS BEEN IN 3 TIMES AND IS STARTING TO RATTLE AGAIN
DOORS FREEZE REPEATEDLY IN COLD WEATHER AND WILL EITHER NOT OPEN OR WILL NOT LATCH. THE TSB WAS COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE RECALL AND DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. VEHICLE WAS IN FOR SERVICE ON 7/18/2018 AND WAS TOLD THAT THE TSB WAS PERFORMED PREVIOUSLY AND NO ADDITIONAL ACTION WOULD BE TAKEN. I HAVE VIDEO THAT I WANTED THE SERVICE ADVISOR AND WAS TOLD NOT TO BOTHER. THE VIDEO SHOWS EVIDENCE OF DOORS FAILING TO LATCH ON 4/20/2018 WITH TEMPERATURE OF 32 DEGREES. SERVICE ADVISOR REFUSED TO LOOK AT THE VIDEO.
2 DAYS AFTER MY VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER SAFETY RECALL 17S33 FOR THE DOOR LATCHES FREEZING, THEY AGAIN FROZE AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. UPON FINALLY GETTING IT TO OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE, THE DOOR WOULD THEN NOT CLOSE. I HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY THE DEALERSHIP AND ALSO THE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE LINE THAT THERE IS NO REPAIR FOR THIS CONDITION AND THAT I HAVE TO CONTINUE DEALING WITH THE ISSUE UNTIL THEY FIND A FIX. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND UNSAFE!
