THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SHOULDER AND THEN TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC CONFIRMED THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO WHAT WAS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V385000 (SUSPENSION). THE CONTACT CALLED RYE FORD SUBARU BACK AND WAS INFORMED THAT HER VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER CONFIRMED THAT THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND PASSED IT ON FEBRUARY 9, 2016. THE DEALER REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE MANUFACTURER, BUT THEY WERE ONLY CONCERNED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER COVERED BY A WARRANTY AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED.
