MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHEN I STARTED MY CAR TO GO TO WORK ONE MORNING. I GOT MY CODE READER AND PLUGGED IT IN, IT SHOWED P0301 AND P0304 ( GENERIC CODE FOR MISFIRE ON CYLINDERS 1 AND 4). I FIGURED I HAD BAD SPARK PLUGS OR IGNITION COILS SO I REPLACED THEM WITH ALL NEW PARTS. DROVE THE CAR FOR ABOUT TWO DAYS AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT RETURNED AGAIN WHEN STARTING MY CAR. PLUGGED THE CODE READER BACK IN, SAME CODE READINGS. MY CAR IS STILL UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY PLAN SO I TOOK IT TO A REPAIR SHOP. THEY RAN A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND FOUND THE SAME CODES. AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS, THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY WERE GOING TO REPLACE THE FUEL SENSORS BECAUSE THEY BELIEVED THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED WITH A NEW ENGINE. THE BRAKE LINES FAILED AND WERE ALSO REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS PARTIALLY REIMBURSED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS CHECKED INTO THE DEALER 6/30/2020, 4 DAYS AFTER THE 5 YEAR/60 MILE WARRANTY EXPIRED. DAYS EXPIRED, NOT MILAGE.
