Consumer Description

THE CAR WAS BOUGHT NEW 4 AND 1/2 YEARS AGO AND HAS 104,000 MILES. ALL SERVICE WORK HAS BEEN DONE BY A FORD DEALERSHIP. THE CAR DEALERSHIP SAID THE CAR WAS OKAY 3 MONTHS AGO. ONE DAY, THE ENGINE STARTING RUNNING ROUGH WITH WHITE SMOKE COMING OUT OF THE EXHAUST. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT PULLED A CODE P02300, WHICH MEANS THE #2 CYLINDER IS MISFIRING. FROM OUR RESEARCH, THE 2017 FORD FUSION HAD A RECALL ON THE EXACT SAME ENGINE FOR THE SAME ISSUES. THIS IS ALSO A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR MANY FORD SERVICE DEALERSHIPS. THE FIX FOR THIS IS REPLACING THE ENGINE.
