WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION, THEN COMES TO A STOP SAY, AT AN INTERSECTION, AN ALARM SOUNDS AGAIN AND REQUESTS THAT YOU SHIFT TO PARK. I HIT THE OK BUTTON ON THE STEERING WHEEL, BUT THE PROCESS REPEATS. I HAVE SOMETIMES BEEN ABLE TO STOP THE ALARMS BY WIGGLING THE WIRING HARNESS AT THE DOOR HINGE, BUT THIS MAY BE COINCIDENTAL. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING, AND WHEN STILL. THE AUTO LOCK WILL ALSO NOT ENGAGE DURING THE ALARM, AND EVEN WHEN MANUALLY ACTIVATING IT WON'T ENGAGE. I NEVER KNOW IF THIS IS A TRUE ALARM OR NOT. I ASSUME ALWAYS IT IS FALSE. WE RECENTLY HEARD THAT THE EDGE WAS BEING INVESTIGATED BECAUSE OF PROBLEMS WITH THE DOOR LATCH. WE WANT TO REPORT THAT WE HAVE HAD THAT PROBLEM. WE BOUGHT A 2013 EDGE IN DEC 2015. DURING THE FIRST WEEK WE STARTED GETTING THE WARNING MESSAGE THAT THE DRIVER'S DOOR WAS OPEN WHEN IT WAS ACTUALLY NOT. IT DID NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME WE DROVE THE CAR, BUT WHEN IT DID HAPPEN, THE MESSAGE KEPT REPEATING & THERE WAS NO WAY TO STOP IT.
