IN APRIL OF THIS YEAR I STARTED THE CAR FROM THE GARAGE AND THE POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING AS IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO TURN THE WHEEL,MANEUVER, AND STEER THE CAR. I MANAGED TO GET IT TO MY LOCAL AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP WHERE THEY ASSESSED THE SITUATION. THEY FOUND FAILURE WITH THE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE. IN ORDER TO FIX IT THEY NEEDED TO REPLACE THE ELECTRONIC STEERING RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY WHICH CONTAINS THE STEERING MODULE. THIS COST $3,377.56. I AM FILING THIS COMPLAINT IN THE HOPES THAT IT PROMPTS A RECALL AND THAT I MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR SOME FORM OF REFUND FOR THIS EXTRAORDINARY FAILURE AND EXPENSE FOR A CAR THAT IS NOT THAT OLD WITH LOW MILEAGE. I KEPT THE REPAIR INVOICE WITH ALL THE DETAILS BUT DO NOT WISH TO POST IT AS IT CONTAINS MY PERSONAL INFORMATION.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND THE STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT IMMEDIATELY SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AND EXITED THE FREEWAY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL NEVER UNLOCKED AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVEABLE. PAUL CERAME FORD (11400 NEW HALLS FERRY ROAD, FLORISSANT, MO 63033, (314) 838-2400) WAS CONTACTED, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,550.
CAR LOST STEERING ASSIST WHILE DRIVING MAKING THE CAR HAD TO STEER TO AVOID COLLISION. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION, ALARM CAME ON THE STEERING ASSIST FAILED.
SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER STEERING. ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING FAILURE WHILE DRIVING.
WHILE DRIVING, STEERING WHEEL ASSIST MALFUNCTION LIGHT CAME ON AND MADE IT DIFFICULT TO CONTROL THE STEERING. LOOK ONLINE AND THERE ARE RECALLS TO OTHER FORD MODELS, BUT NOT FOR THE FOCUS ALTHOUGH THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS HAPPENING AND A SERIOUS CAR CRASH COULD HAPPEN BECAUSE OF IT.
THE CAR LOSSES STEERING ASSISTANCE ON THE ROAD OCCASIONALLY. THE LIGHT SAYING "STEERING ASSISTANT FAULT" ALSO COMES ON. THEN TYPICALLY AFTER 1DAY OR 2, THE SYSTEM RESUMES ITSELF. WHEN IT HAPPENS, WHEEL BECOMES REALLY HEAVY AND NOT POSSIBLE TO TURN AT 60-79MPH ON HIGHWAY. AT LOWER SPEED, IT NEEDS VERY HARD PULLING TO JUST MAKE A NORMAL RIGHT OR LEFT TURNING. I ALSO HAVE TO DECREASE SPEED WHEN MAKING THE TURN AND CAUSING VEHICLES AFTER TO DECREASE SPEED ALSO. THE FORD MANUFACTURER MECHANIC HAVE MADE FULL DIAGNOSTIC OF THE STEERING PART. THEY COULDN'T FIND A REASON AND ALSO SAID THERE COULD BE NO REASON. THE ELECTRICITY SYSTEM OF RELATED PART COULD JUST BE OUT OF ORDER SOME TIME AND THEN BECAME NORMAL AGAIN--TOLD BY THE MECHANIC. IT'S ALSO CONFIRMED SUCH DISORDER IS NOT CAUSED BY CAR WASH OR COSMETIC DAMAGE ON CAR'S SURFACE. THE PART IS ALSO NOT REPAIRABLE BUT...
STEERING WHEEL LOCK UP ON ME WHILE I WAS DRIVE AND BEEN LOCKED UP FOR SOME DAYS NOW AND IT IS HARD TO TURN THE WHEEL AND DONT HAVE THE MONEY FIX IT HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW THIS JUST A SHAME.
WHILE DRIVING THROUGH A PARKING LOT AND ATTEMPTING TO TURN LEFT ACROSS AN INTERSECTION, THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT COMPLETELY, JERKED THE WHEEL OUT OF MY HAND, AND KEPT THE CAR MOVING STRAIGHT FORWARD. I NARROWLY MISSED HITTING ANOTHER CAR AS MY HUSBAND HELPED ME TUG ON THE WHEEL TO GET THE CAR OUT OF THE INTERSECTION AND TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE POWER ASSIST LIGHT WAS ON. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON, AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED, AND I AM AFRAID OF IT HAPPENING ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN TRAFFIC AND CAUSING AN ACCIDENT.
ABOUT TO DRIVE TO WORK, I TURNED MY CAR ON AND SHIFTED FROM PARK TO REVERSE AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES OF WAITING. WHILE REVERSING OUT OF MY PARKING SPOT, I REALIZED THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN AND I WAS GOING STRAIGHT TOWARDS AN APARTMENT BUILDING THAT BORDERS THE PARKING LOT. I PARKED THE CAR AND NOTICED A WARNING ON THE SCREEN IN THE CAR THAT STATED 'POWER STEERING ASSIST MALFUNCTION.' I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND THE STEERING WAS NO LONGER DIFFICULT TO CONTROL WHEN I TURNED THE CAR ON AGAIN. THE WARNING WAS NO LONGER PRESENT. AROUND TWO WEEKS LATER, THE SAME POWER STEERING ASSIST MALFUNCTION OCCURRED WHILE LEAVING A GAS STATION; THE CAR WAS IN DRIVE IN THE PARKING LOT WHEN THE ISSUE OCCURRED. MY INTENTION WAS TO TURN AND EXIT TO A STREET, BUT I REALIZED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN. TURNING THE CAR...
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE. DRIVING AROUND TOWN ALL DAY, PARKED THE VEHICLE THEN UPON RESTARTING THE POWER STEERING ASSIST NO LONGER WORKS. THIS CAR HAS LESS THAN 34,000 MILES.
TAKATA RECALL - POWER STEERING MALFUNCTION . STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP WHILE TURNING ON OR DRIVING THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AND WOULD REALLY LIKE FOR SOMETHING TO BE DONE IT'S DANGEROUS
POWER STEERING MODULE HAD TO BE REPLACED. DTC U3000:49-48 WAS THE CODE FROM THE DEALER. THE STEERING ASSIT LIGHT CAME ON AFTER STARTING THE CAR.
I OWN A 2012 FORD FOCUS SE HATCHBACK WITH A 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND THE SPORT PACKAGE. I PURCHASED THE CAR NEW FROM A DEALER IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA IN JANUARY 2012. STARTING WITH AROUND 80,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER AND OCCURRING PERIODICALLY EVER SINCE, WHEN THE CAR'S ENGINE IS FIRST TURNED ON, THE POWER STEERING IS NOT ACTIVE. WHEN THIS OCCURS, IF I IMMEDIATELY ATTEMPT TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL, A "STEERING MALFUNCTION" WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATES IN THE CAR. HOWEVER, IF I START THE CAR AND DON'T ATTEMPT TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL FOR 5-10 SECONDS AFTER THE ENGINE IS FIRST TURNED ON, THE POWER STEERING IS ACTIVE WITH NO ISSUES. IN THOSE SITUATIONS WHERE THE "STEERING MALFUNCTION" WARNING INDICATOR HAS COME ON, I SIMPLY TURN OFF THE CAR, WAIT A FEW SECONDS, THEN TURN IT BACK ON AGAIN. RANDOMLY SINCE WE BOUGHT THE CAR IS 2014 POWER ASSIST DEFAULT WOULD SHOW UP ON THE SCREEN AND THEN I WOULD BE LEFT WITHOUT POWER STEERING. I LEARNED TO PULL OVER TURN THE CAR OFF AND IT WOULD WORK NORMAL AGAIN. SEVERAL TIMES IT HAPPENED IN BAD PLACES THAT ALMOST CAUSED ME TO WRECK. LAST MONTH CHECK ENGINE CAME ON WHILE DRIVING. CAR JERKED AND ACTED AS IF IT WANTED TO CUT OFF AND WHEN PUTTING CAR IN REVERSE THE CAR WOULD NOT GO IN REVERSE. WHILE DRIVING ON JULY 14TH AFTER TAKING THE CAR TO FORD DEALERSHIP WHICH THEY REPROGRAMMED TCM THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON FOR THE SAME CODE AS BEFORE ABOUT SHIFT FORK B ISSUES. WHILE DRIVING THE CAR JERKED A COUPLE OF TIMES AND ACTED AS IF IT WANTED TO CUT OFF AND NOT ACCELERATE. FORD STATES THEY WILL NOT FIX THE ISSUE UNLESS FOR THE CURRENT RECALLS ON THE CLUTCH AND TCM FAILURE.

POWER STEERING FAILED AROUND 75000 MILES SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVING. I LET IT BE BECAUSE IT WENT AWAY AFTER TURNING THE CAR ON AND OFF BUT SINCE JANUARY 2018, THE CAR HAS BEEN PERMANENTLY WITHOUT POWER STEERING. FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS NO HELP AND ONLY REQUESTED THAT I GET A DIAGNOSTIC THAT COST 100$. THE DIAGNOSTIC CONFIRMED WHAT I SAID - THAT THE STEERING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT IT WAS NOT WORKING. THEY ESTIMATED THE REPAIR AT 2100$. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IF SOMETHING WERE TO RUN OUT IN THE ROAD I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO TURN THE WHEEL FAST ENOUGH. ADDITIONALLY, I DON'T DRIVE OTHERS REALLY ANYMORE BECAUSE I DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE PUTTING THEIR SAFETY AT RISK. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT FORD NEEDS TO FIX. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.

ON FRIDAY, 06/08/2018 I LOST MY STEERING ASSIST DUE TO A "STEERING ASSIST MALFUNCTION". I AM ABLE TO STEER THE CAR BUT AS A SENIOR CITIZEN I FEEL THAT I AM PUTTING MY LIFE, AS WELL AS OTHERS, AT RISK FOR A KNOWN DEFECT THAT THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY HAS KNOWN ABOUT FOR YEARS, HAVE RECALLED MANY OF THEIR MODEL VEHICLES WITH THE SAME "DEFECT" EXCEPT THE FORD FOCUS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR EVERYONE. PLEASE GET FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO CORRECT THEIR INTENTIONAL NEGLECT OF THIS MATTER.
STEERING ASSIST FAULT WENT OUT AS I WAS DRIVING AND WAS ALMOST KILLED
I WAS BACKING OUT OF A PARKING PLACE AT A GAS STATION WHEN THE "STEERING ASSIST FAULT" "SERVICE REQUIRED" CAME ON THIS HAPPENED AROUND 80K MILES. NOW SITTING AT 88K MILES I RECENTLY HAD TO HAVE THE STEERING RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY REPLACED IN IT COSTING ME ALMOST 1,800 DOLLARS IN REPAIRS. I HAVE READ SEVERAL COMPLAINTS WITH THIS CAR HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AROUND ABOUT THE SAME MILEAGE INTERVALS. I'M HOPING THIS ISSUE HASN'T CAUSED ANY SERIOUS INJURY OR FATALITIES.
POWER STEERING FAILURE AT 63000 MILES. RESULTING IN $2222 BILL TO REPLACE POWER STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY. ERROR CODE "STEERING ASSIST FAULT SERVICE REQUIRED" WAS DISPLAYED 5-8 TIMES WHILE BACKING UP AT STARTUP ON PRIOR OCCASIONS. FOR ALL PRIOR OCCASIONS RESTARTING THE CAR CLEARED THE ISSUE. ON THE LAST OCCURRENCE THE ISSUE WOULD NOT CLEAR LEAVING THE CAR WITH MANUAL STEERING.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY CAR THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. I STILL COULD STEER THE CAR BUT IT WAS MORE DIFFICULT TO DO SO. I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL ON FORD'S WITH POWER STEERING ISSUES BUT MY CAR WAS NOT INCLUDED. I HAD TO PAY THE DEALER $1790 FOR THE REPAIR. THE DEALERSHIP SAID MY YEAR CAR WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL...SINCE IT WAS A SIMILAR ISSUE I BELIEVE IT SHOULD OF BEEN INCLUDED.
ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH THE CAR WHICH IS CAUSING THE POWER STEERING TO MALFUNCTION. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, I AM UNABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALL! FORD HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE THAT HAS CAUSED ACCIDENTS BECAUSE THE ISSUE HAS BEEN KNOW TO HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING. THE FORD DEALERSHIP RECOMMENDS I REPLACE THE ENTIRE STEERING SYSTEM (EPAS) TO CORRECT THE CONCERN, FOR AROUND $2,000. I CANNOT AFFORD THIS - WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR AN EXTREME MISTAKE MADE BY FORD WHEN THEY CREATED THESE CARS? I AM FEARFUL THE ERROR WILL OCCUR EVERY TIME I DRIVE, AND TAKE EXTRA CAUTION ON EACH TRIP I MAKE. PLEASE HELP
DRIVING AND AN ERROR POPPED UP: STEERING ASSIST FAILURE, GET SERVICE. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN THE ERROR APPEARED.
WHILE DRIVING I LOST ALL ABILITY TO TURN THE WHEEL. I WAS DRIVING SLOW AND ABOUT TO PARK. I TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND THEN STARTED THE VEHICLE BACK ON AND RECEIVED A "STEERING ASSIST FAULT ERROR DISPLAYING ON THE DASH PANEL. I LOOK UP THIS ERROR ONLINE AND FOUND AT LEAST 150 OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE SOME IF I READ CORRECTLY ENDED IN DEATHS. SOME SAY TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND TURN IT BACK ON TO CLEAR THIS ISSUE. THIS FIX DID NOT WORK FOR ME. I HAD TO GET THE VEHICLE TOWED. THIS COULD HAVE BEEN VERY BAD IF THIS HAD HAPPENED ON THE INTERSTATE WHICH I JUST EXITED. PLEASE HELP USE TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.
MY VEHICLE HAS ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS EXPERIENCED A COMPLETE POWER STEERING SYSTEM FAILURE. THE MOST RECENT OF WHICH OCCURRED WITH MY 1 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE CAR; I WAS ENTERING A TURN WHEN THE DISPLAY ALARM SOUNDED WITH THE FAILURE CAUSING ME TO LOSE CONTROL AND DRIVE OFF THE ROAD. FORD COMPANY IS REFUSING TO HONOR MY WARRANTY CLAIMING THE PART IS NOT COVERED (A STEERING SENSOR), THOUGH THE STEERING COLUMN ITSELF IS COVERED. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE SERVICE ADVISOR THE COLUMN CANNOT BE REPLACED WITHOUT ALSO REPLACING THE SENSOR AND THE SENSOR CANNOT BE REPLACED WITHOUT ALSO REPLACING THE COLUMN. IT SEEMS THEY HAVE FOUND A LOOPHOLE WITH WHAT IS KNOWN TO BE A DANGEROUS HAZARD TO THEIR VEHICLE. IN POINT OF FACT THE NEW YORK TIMES HAS EVEN WRITTEN AN ARTICLE IN 2015 DOCUMENTING POWER STEERING FAILURE AND THE INJURIES THAT HAVE OCCURRED DUE TO...
"STEERING ASSIST FAULT" ERROR MESSAGE STARTED APPEARING RANDOMLY WHEN STARTING UP CAR IN PARK ABOUT ONCE MONTH A YEAR AGO. I COULD GET IT TO CLEAR BY SHUTTING OFF CAR AND OPENING AND CLOSING DOOR AND RESTARTING. FREQUENCY INCREASED LAST MONTH TO ABOUT ONCE A WEEK, THEN TO EVERY DAY, AND NOW IT WON'T CLEAR. MECHANIC'S CHARGE $2,114 TO REPLACE THE FAULTY PART, REALIGN AND REPROGRAM CAR'S STEERING.
ON APRIL 7TH 2018 I STARTED MY 2012 FORD FOCUS AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED SOLID THE WARNING LIGHTS LITE UP STATING ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTED IT 3 TIMES UNTIL IT STARTED WORKING AGAIN. I WENT RIGHT TO THE DEALER WHERE I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE. THEY CLAIM THERE IS NO RECALL. I DID SOME RESEARCH FIND THAT THERE'S BEEN OVER 120 INJURIES AND ONE DEATH RELATED TO THE POWER STEERING FAILURE ON THESE VEHICLES. I WENT TO START MY CAR AND THE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON THAT SAID "STEERING SYSTEM FAILURE". THE CAR IS NO LONGER DRIVEABLE. THE MANUFACTURER IS DENYING RESPONSIBILITY. THERE IS A NY TIMES ARTICLE RE: THIS STATING THEY ARE AWARE YET NO RECALL YET. WE NEED A RECALL. THERE ARE OTHER COMPLAINTS ONLINE BY OWNERS WHO HAVE NOT YET FILED WITH NHTSA. POWER STEERING FAILED. THE ENTIRE POWER STEERING RACK WAS REPLACED WHICH INCLUDES THE POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE (PSCM). THE POWER STEERING FAILURE BEGAN ON 3/1/18 AND WAS INITIALLY RESOLVED BY TURNING OFF THEN TURNING ON THE CAR. THIS WORKED FOR TWO WEEKS. COMPLETE FAILURE OCCURRED ON 3/14/18. THE PSCM IS NOT SERVICEABLE AND IS NOT A SEPARATE COMPONENT OF THE POWER STEERING RACK RESULTING IN A HIGH COST REPAIR ON A LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAS 35948 ORIGINAL MILES. THIS SYSTEM IS REFERRED TO AS THE ELECTRONIC POWER ASSISTED STEERING (EPAS) SYSTEM AND HAS BEEN RECALLED ON THE FORD FLEX, TAURUS, AND THE LINCOLN MKS AND MKT 2011 THROUGH 2013 MODELS, BUT NOT RECALLED ON THE FORD FOCUS EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM AND FAULTY EQUIPMENT DESIGN.
I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR IN 7 TIMES FOR TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND MALFUNCTIONS ALWAYS WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY! THANKFULLY I PURCHASED EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT IT EXPIRED. NOW I AM BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE 8TH TIME AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $2100.00 TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT WAS NEVER REALLY FIXED TO START WITH! NOW I AM HAVING STEERING PROBLEMS! THE STEERING JUST GOES OUT WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND IN CITY. THE FACT THAT THE STEERING JUST STOPS WORKING IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IT HAS PUT ME IN VERY HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS! THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THE STEERING HAS GONE OUT WHILE DRIVING! I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND SHUT CAR OFF FOR 10MINUTES BEFORE RESTARTING. MY WIFE HAD THE KIDS IN THE CAR WITH HER HEADING TO THE STORE AND IT WENT OUT AND SHE HAD NO CLUE WHAT TO DO AND NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO...
STEERING ASSIST FAILURE NOTICE APPEARED ON AND OFF FOR NEARLY A YEAR. NOTICE WOULD DISAPPEAR AFTER TURNING VEHICLE OFF AND STRAIGHTENING STEERING WHEEL. AT 77000 MILES, WARNING CAME ON AGAIN AND WOULD NOT CLEAR. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD ESPECIALLY IF IT HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD. I WAS LUCKY IT WAS JUST IN MY DRIVEWAY. FORD HAS RECALLED SEVERAL CARS OF SIMILAR MAKE AND MODEL FOR THIS SAME ISSUE YET HAVE NOT RECALLED THE FORD FOCUS. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD ESPECIALLY IF IT HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD. FORD NEEDS TO OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKE AND SEND A RECALL AND FIX THE PROBLEM ON ALL VEHICLES. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. THE CAR IS NOW OUT OF COMMISSION BECAUSE I CAN'T AFFORD THE REPAIR AND I AM TO SCARED TO DRIVE IT AS IS.
AT 73,000 MILES ERROR CODE IN DASH READ STEERING ASSIST MALFUNCTION SERVICE NEEDED. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER MY CAR. AT 76,000 MILES ERROR CODE READ ENGINE TOO HOT, STOP SAFELY AND WAIT 8 MINUTES. CAR SHUDDERS AND HIGH REVS AT LOW SPEEDS AND VERY LOUD ENGINE NOISE. I HOPE THAT FORD RECALLS THESE ISSUES SOON!!!

THREE TIMES THE POWER STEERING HAS FAILED AT VEHICLE START. REQUIRED TURNING CAR OFF AND BACK ON TO RESOLVE.
DROVE FROM MY APARTMENT TO THE MAILBOXES IN OUR COMPLEX AND WHEN I WENT TO START MY CAR TO LEAVE THE MAILBOX I GO A "STEERING ASSIST FAILURE" AND COULD NOT DRIVE MY CAR, THE STEERING WHEEL COULD NOT TURN.
TURNED ON THE CAR AND POWER STEERING HAD FAILED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS. WHILE STATIONARY AND DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITHOUT WARNING ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. DON SANDERSON FORD IN GLENDALE, ARIZONA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000. *TT CONSUMER STATED 3 TO 4 TIMES UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE THE WHEEL WOULD NOT MOVE, AFTER AWHILE AFTER PUTTING THE CAR FROM "P" TO "N" AND BACK AGAIN IT MOVED. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL RECALLS. CONSUMER HAS BROUGHT IT IN MANY TIMES FOR TRANSMISSION RECALLS. CONSUMER ALSO STATED DRIVER AND PASSENGER DOORS OPEN ON THER OWN AND PASSENGER WINDOW WOULD NOT GO DOWN FROM DRIVER SIDE CONTROLS.*JB
