THE 2 FRONT INSIDE DOOR HANDLES STOPPED FUNCTIONING WITHIN 2 MONTHS OF EACH OTHER. THE DOOR HANDLE WOULD JUST SWING FREELY LIKE IT WASN'T CONNECTED TO ANYTHING. I WOULD HAVE TO ROLL MY WINDOW DOWN OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE THEN ROLL THE WINDOW BACK UP TO BE ABLE TO TURN MY CAR OFF. IT COST NEARLY $300 TO FIX THE ISSUES OVER 2 DIFFERENT APPOINTMENTS AT THE DEALERSHIP.
AFTER NORMAL DRIVING, I PARKED THE CAR, GRABBED THE DRIVER SIDE HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR AND IT JUST SORT OF FLOPPED OUT. THERE WAS NO CONNECTION TO THE INTERIOR PIECES TO OPEN THE DOOR. TO EXIT, I HAVE TO KEEP THE CAR RUNNING, OPEN THE WINDOW, REACH THROUGH AND USE THE OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR (WHICH IS VERY DIFFICULT AS I AM NOT TALL), THEN CLOSE THE WINDOW AGAIN BEFORE I CAN TURN OFF THE CAR AND EXIT.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIR OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN ALTIMA. UPON INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE, THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER DOORS COULD NOT BE OPENED USING THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DELAND NISSAN (2600 S WOODLAND BLVD, DELAND, FL) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.
TAKATA RECALL. WATER ACCUMULATES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TRUNK, WHERE THE SPARE TIRE IS, IN A RAIN STORM. IT WAS DRIVEN THROUGH SMALL PUDDLES.
THE DRIVER SIDE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE DOES NOT OPEN THE DOOR. A SMALL PLASTIC PIECE FELL OFF WHICH CAUSED THE HANDLE TO STOP WORKING.

"TAKATA RECALL" VEHICLE HAS A AIRBAG AND LATCH PROBLEM
TAKATA RECALL... A SEMI TRAILER SWUNG AND ALMOST HIT MY CAR. I SWERVED AND DROP OFF ON THE SHOULDER OF I-30, I HIT THE CONCRETE RETAINER WALL AT 70MPH AND NO AIRBAG DEPLOYED AND I HAD A KNOT ON MY HEAD AND BLACK EYE. ALSO I HIT 4 HOGS ON FM852, AGAIN NO AIRBAG.
I WAS DRIVING ON HWY 45 TUESDAY (NOV28,2017) I PIECE OF RUBBER WAS IN THE HWY. I TRIED TO DODGE IT BUT IT WAS TOO LATE. IT DAMAGED MY FRONT BUMPER ON MY CAR.
I CANNOT OPEN MY DRIVER SIDE DOOR USING THE INSIDE DOOR HANDLE. I PULL ON THE HANDLE & IT MOVES BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. THE ONLY WAY I CAN EXIT THE VEHICLE IS TO DOWN THE WINDOW AND PULL THE OUTSIDE HANDLE (HURTS THE ARTHRITIS IN MY SHOULDER) OR CRAWL OVER THE MIDDLE STORAGE COMPARTMENT TO THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. THIS SITUATION IS DEFINITELY NOT A SAFE SITUATION IF QUICK EXIT FROM THE VEHICLE IS NEEDED IN AN EMERGENCY. WHAT WOULD A PERSON WITH DISABILITIES OR SENIOR DO? FROM WHAT I'VE READ ONLINE THE DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY INSIDE THE DOOR WAS POORLY MADE USING A PLASTIC PART THAT WEARS OUT QUICKLY. THIS APPEARS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AND ACROSS SEVERAL NISSAN MODELS ACCORDING TO A DEALER SERVICE ADVISOR. THE DEALER, CHARLESTON NISSAN, WANTS $180, PARTS AND LABOR, TO REPLACE. THE INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE BROKE WHEN I TRIED TO OPEN MY DOOR. THE HANDLE IS MADE OUT OF CHEAP PLASTIC. THE ONLY WAY OUT OF THE CAR IS TO ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN AND OPEN IT FROM THE OUTSIDE. THIS CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS IF I AM IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE CAR QUICKLY TO ESCAPE DANGER.
WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RECALLS SINCE PURCHASE OF CAR.ON 06/30/17,MY DAUGHTER CALLED AND INFORMED ME THE CAR WAS HAVING PROBLEMS. INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE BREAKS ON VEHICLE. VEHICLE HAS 12000 MILES ON IT, AND IT JUST QUIT WORKING WHEN I TRIED TO OPEN THE DOOR. THIS RESULTS IN A SAFETY HAZARD AS OWNER COULD NOT OPEN THE DOOR IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. I DID A SEARCH ONLINE AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE NISSANS, AND THE COMPANY MAY HAVE CREATED A NEW PART IT APPEARS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES.
I HAVE ALREADY TAKEN THIS VEHICLE BACK NUMEROUS TIMES TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE SAME RECALLS AND THE NOTIFICATION / EMERGENCY LIGHTS STILL COME ON. THIS HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING AT A STOP LIGHT OR WHEN I TURN THE CAR ON.
I DROVE MY CAR ON FEBRUARY 28 FROM MY GARAGE IN MY HOUSE IN BOLTON, MA TO LEXINGTON MA AT 9 AM. UPON STARTING, I NOTICED A SLIGHT STRANGE SMELL. AFTER 5 MINS, THE SMELL CLEARED, THE HEAT TEMP WAS NORMAL AND I DROVE FOR ABOUT 40 MINS WHILE TALKING ON MY BLUETOOTH. I PARKED IN FRONT OF GRACE CHAPEL IN LEXINGTON ON THE STREET AND AS I PULLED TO A STOP TO PARK ON THE STREET IN FRONT OF THE CHURCH, I NOTICED SOME SMOKE. I IMMEDIATELY SHUT OFF THE CAR. WITHIN MOMENTS THERE WERE FLAMES AND I CALLED 911 AS I GOT OUT. I...
I HAD JUST CHECKED THE OIL AND WHAT TYPE OF OIL TO BUY FOR THE CAR, AND EN ROUTE AT A SPEED OF 55, THE HOOD FLEW UP WHILE ACCELERATING TO THE POSTED LIMIT - SHATTERING THE SUNROOF, CRACKING THE WINDSHIELD, WARPING THE FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT QUARTER PANELS NEAR THE WINDSHIELD, AND DENTING THE HOOD AND ROOF. IT ALSO DISLODGED THE SUNROOF MOTOR AND PULLED PART OF THE ROOF LIGHTING CONSOLE WIRING HARNESS APART. I WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF A RECALL BY NISSAN IN EITHER OF THE TWO CAMPAIGNS ON THE HOOD LATCH ISSUE - ONLY BY THE INSURANCE INVESTIGATOR AFTER MY CLAIM.
IN LATE DECEMBER 2016 OUR 2013 NISSAN ALTIMA WAS BEING DRIVEN IN HIGH POINT, NORTH CAROLINA WHEN THE HOOD OF THE CAR FLEW OPEN AGAINST THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING ZERO VISIBILITY AND THE CAR WAS FORCED OFF THE ROAD CAUSING IT TO BE DAMAGED. THIS INCIDENT INVOLVES A 2016 NISSAN RECALL ON THIS CAR FOR A HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT THAT WAS NEVER DONE PROPERLY TO THIS CAR. THERE WAS BODY DAMAGE TO THIS VEHICLE DUE TO THIS ACCIDENT. THE DRIVER HAS MEDICAL INJURIES FROM THIS ACCIDENT. THE CAR IS HAVING SMELLS SINCE THE ACCIDENT. NISSAN ASSIGNED A CASE NUMBER AND AN ARBITRATION SPECIALIST TO THIS ACCIDENT AND THE CAR IS AT THE DEALERSHIP UNDER REVIEW. LAST WEEK MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING HER 2013 NISSAN ALTIMA AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MILES HOURS WHEN THE HOOD SUDDENLY FLEW UP AND CRASHED INTO THE WINDSHIELD. LUCKILY THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC AROUND AND SHE WAS ABLE TO CLOSE THE HOOD BACK DOWN AND RETURN THE SHORT DISTANCE TO HER HOME. WHEN I INSPECTED THE VEHICLE THE NEXT DAY I DISCOVERED THAT THE SECONDARY HOOD LATCH DID NOT WORK. UPON INVESTIGATION I DISCOVERED THAT NISSAN HAD RECALLS ON THIS MODEL FOR THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE. I CONTACTED THE NHTSA AND REPORTED THE ISSUE. I WAS TOLD THAT THE RECALL REPAIR HAD NOT BEEN DONE AS PER THEIR RECORDS. I THEN CONTACTED NISSAN TO INFORM THEM OF THE ISSUE AND THEY SAID THAT THE RECALL REPAIRS HAD ACTUALLY BEEN COMPLETED EARLIER THIS YEAR BY A NISSAN DEALER IN FLORIDA (WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM A CAR LOT IN FLORIDA IN OCTOBER OF 2016)....

WE NOTICED THAT OUR CAR'S BLACK DASHBOARD WAS BECOMING STICKY AND SHINY DURING THE SUMMER. THIS HAS DEVELOPED INTO A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IT AFFECTS MY VISIBILITY WHEN I'M DRIVING. THE MELTING DASHBOARD CREATES A STRONG GLARE OR REFLECTION ON THE WINDSHIELD WHICH IMPEDES MY ABILITY TO SEE THE ROAD AND MY SURROUNDS. I NOTIFIED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY REFUSED TO HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM. I CALLED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS WHICH ALSO DENIED MY REQUEST TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE. IT APPEARS THAT THE DASHBOARD MATERIAL THAT IS USED WAS NOT PROPERLY TESTED FOR HIGHER TEMPERATURES OR THAT THIS IS SIMPLY A DEFECTIVE PART. THE RESIDUE ON THE SURFACE OF THE DASHBOARD COULD ALSO BE A HEALTH HAZARD AS THE DASHBOARD IS CLEARLY DEGRADING AND MAY BE EMITTING FUMES WITHIN THE CABIN. WITHOUT ANY WARNING AT ALL, HOOD FLEW UP WHILE CAR WAS GETTING UP TO SPEED ON 4 LANE EXPRESSWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 40 MPH. IT SMASHED AGAINST THE WINDSHIELD AND COMPLETELY BLINDED ME. I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO SHOULDER. NO INJURIES. DAMAGE TO BODY OF CAR ONLY. NO ONE ELSE IN CAR. NO OTHER TRAFFIC NEARBY. I AM NOT THE OWNER, JUST THE DRIVER. VERY FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE.

MY ALMOST 14 YEAR OLD SON WHO IS 106 LBS. SITS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AS WELL AS A MALE FRIEND WHO IS 220. THE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT REMAINS "OFF" WHEN IT SHOULD BE ENGAGED. I TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT THEY RESET IT AND MY SON MAY NOT BE "HEAVY ENOUGH". THIS COMPLAINT IS REGARDING THE NISSAN RECALL REF. 16V-029 RELATED TO THE HOOD LATCH ASSEMBLY. NISSAN SEEMS TO HAVE PUT IN PLACE A REPAIR PROCEDURE THAT IS DIFFERENT THAN WHAT IS ADVERTISED IN THE RECALL LETTER. THIS PROCEDURE IS EXCESSIVELY BURDENSOME, REQUIRING THE VEHICLE OWNER TO SCHEDULE A FIRST APPOINTMENT TO INSPECT THE CAR, THEN A SECOND APPOINTMENT TO PERFORM THE ACTUAL REPAIR. THE RECALL LETTER ADVERTISES A SINGLE APPOINTMENT IS NEEDED TO PERFORM THE REPAIR, SO THIS PROCEDURE RUNS CONTRARY TO THE TEXT OF THE RECALL LETTER. REAR DRIVER SIDE FLOORBOARD ACCUMULATING WATER WHEN IT RAINS. NO IDEA WHERE IT COMES FROM. CURRENTLY AT NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT WHERE WATER IS COMING FROM. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IT HAS BEEN IN SHOP. IT FIRST HAPPENED ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO AND AT FIRST, I THOUGHT A DOOR HAD NOT BEEN PROPERLY CLOSED. I HAVE DRIVEN AND PARKED IT IN THE RAIN SO I DONT HAVE ANY IDEA WHEN IT COMES IN, ALL I KNOW IS THAT IT DOES.
HOOD FLEW OPEN WHILE TRAVELING AT 35 MPH ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF TOWN. THIS RESULTED IN DAMAGE TO THE UPPER QUARTER PANEL ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE NEAR THE HOOD HINGES.

THE SUNROOF SLIDING COVER WAS CLOSED WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS MANEUVERED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE ENTIRE SUNROOF WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,000.
WHILE GOING AROUND 55MPH ON THE HWY 55, HOOD JUST POPPED WITHOUT ANY WARNING, HITTING THE WINDSHIELD AND ROOF. THIS CAUSED MAJOR BODY DAMAGE TO BOTH FENDERS, HOOD AND ROOF. BEFORE DRIVING THE CAR, I ALWAYS WALK AROUND IT TO CHECK TIRE INFLATED OK, HOOD/TRUNK/DOOR CLOSE/LATCHED. THIS HAPPENED OCT17. WENT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND ALSO CALLED NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE MONDAY OCT 19. CUSTOMER SERVICE SAID THIS DAMAGE WOULD BE COVERED BY THEIR HOOD LATCH RECALL THAT I WAS NOT AWARE OF. IT'S BEEN 2 WEEK AND STILL WAITING FOR WARRANTY CLAIMS TO APPROVE FIX. HOOD IS VIBRATING WHEN I GO OVER 55MPH AND SO AFRAID THIS NIGHTMARE MIGHT HAPPEN AGAIN.
I BOUGHT A NISSAN ALTIMA NEW IN 2013 AND MY DASH HAS BECOME EXTREMELY STICKY AND SHINY CAUSING A BAD VISIBILITY GLARE IN MY WINDSHIELD WHEN I DRIVE. I CONTACTED NISSAN BUT THEY REFUSED HELP EVEN WITH A PURCHASE OF AN EXTENDED WARRANTY.
2013 NISSAN ALTIMA RECALL NOTICE MALFUNCTION HOOD RELEASE WHICH COULD CAUSE A COLLISION. WELL HAPPENED TO MY DAUGHTER ON AUGUST 9TH, WHO HAD MY PERMISSION TO DRIVE MY CAR SHE BY THE WAY IS 28. I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THIS RECALL, HOWEVER MY FRIEND THAT LEASED THE SAME VEHICLE TWO MONTHS PRIOR AT THE SAME DEALERSHIP, WAS NOTIFIED. MY DAUGHTER WAS JUST GETTING ONTO THE EXPRESSWAY DOING APPROX. 20 MPH IF THAT WHEN THE HOOD OF MY VEHICLE "RELEASED" AND BLEW UP AGAINST THE WINDSHIELD TO WHERE SHE COULD NOT SEE AT ALL. LUCKILY GOD WAS WITH HER AND SHE WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER SAFELY. MY VEHICLE IS STILL AT A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AS OF TODAY, AUGUST 26TH, COLLISION SHOP STILL SITTING IN THE SAME SPOT THAT IT WAS TOWED TO. I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AT APPROXIMATELY 5:30 AM AND TOOK EXIT 10B OFF OF I85 NORTH. WENT TO REACH DOWN TO GET MY COFFEE AND HIT THE GRASS WHICH IN TURN SLUNG ME INTO THE GUARD RAIL. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. THIS WRECK DONE 10,000 DOLLARS OF DAMAGE TO MY CAR. THE STEERING IS VERY TOUCHY. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. MY AIR BAG LIGHT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE DOES NOT WORK EITHER. I HAVE TAKEN THIS CAR IN BECAUSE IT DOES ACT RIGHT WHEN YOU ACCELERATE BUT I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. I HAVE ALSO TOOK IT IN FOR A LEAK AND THEY TOLD MY IT WASN'T LEAKING IT WAS A 2013 AND IT WAS TO NEW. BUT THERE IS A SPOT IN MY DRIVEWAY AND I AM THE ONLY ONE THAT PARKS THERE.
I WAS DRIVING NORTHBOUND ON MAXWELL ROAD NORTH OF HYNE ROAD IN BRIGHTON, MI. IN PREPARATION TO MAKE A 90 RIGHT HAND TURN TO STAY ON MAXFIELD, I APPLIED THE BRAKES WELL IN ADVANCE OF THE TURN. AFTER DOING SO, THE ABS BRAKES PULSED THE BRAKE PRESSURE REPEATEDLY RENDERING THE BRAKES USELESS. I TRIED TO COMPLETE THE TURN AND HALFWAY THROUGH THE TURN, I REALIZED I WAS HEADING AT ~45 RIGHT INTO A TREE. I TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE AND CUT THE WHEEL AS HARD AS I COULD TO THE LEFT. THE FRONT RIGHT BUMPER AND FENDER HIT THE TREE. WIFE WAS DRIVING WEST BOUND ON OHIO ST RT 125 DOING 40 MPH WHEN A CAR GOING EAST BOUND ON OHIO ST RT 125 ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN IN FRONT OF HER AND HIT HER HEAD ON BRINGING THE CAR TO A COMPLETE STOP IN JUST A COUPLE FEET. WHILE ACCELERATING AFTER MAKE A RIGHT HAND TURN, THE HOOD FLEW OPEN ON MY NISSAN ALTIMA. THE HOOD BENT BACK PAST THE HINGES TOWARDS THE WINDSHIELD. BECAUSE THE HOOD BENT BACK SO FAR, IT PULLED THE FRAME OF THE CAR UP ON BOTH SIDES. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER ONTO THE SHOULDER OF THE SAFELY. HOOD CLOSED AND SEEMS TO LATCH NOW. WE PULLED IN TO A GAS STATION AND I REACHED DOWN IN THE DARK TO RELEASE THE FUEL DOOR. MY HUSBAND PUT GAS IN THE CAR AND WE HEADED FOR HOME. SUDDENLY, THE HOOD FLEW UP AGAINST THE WINDSHIELD COMPLETELY BLOCKING MY VIEW AND SCARING THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS OUT OF US. FORTUNATELY, I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR WITHOUT HAVING AN ACCIDENT. WHEN WE GOT HOME, UPON INSPECTION, WE FOUND PRETTY EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE HOOD AND SIDE PANELS. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO WORKS ON OUR CAR AND WAS GIVEN A VERY PRICEY ESTIMATE. I FEEL THAT THE SAFETY ON THE HOOD LOCK SHOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS FROM HAPPENING. FORTUNATELY, THERE WERE NO INJURIES BUT IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE ( IT COULD HAPPEN WHEN I HAVE MY BABY GRANDDAUGHTERS IN THE CAR ) AND SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL....
THE INCIDENT HAPPENED AT AROUND MIDNIGHT.THE HOOD POPPED OPEN WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN.FORTUNATELY ,THERE WERE NO VEHICLES IN THE FRONT OR REAR.THIS SCARED THE HELL OUT OF US.WE CHECKED THE INTERNET TO SEE IF ANY SIMILAR INCIDENTS WERE REPORTED.WE FOUND THAT 238,000 NISSA ALTIMA 2013 WERE BEING RECALLED BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM.WE BROUGHT THE MATTER TO THE DEALER,S ATTENTION AS WELL AS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE MANUFACTURER.WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THA THE VIN OF OUR VEHICLE IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL.NISSAN HAS REFUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE.THE HOOD IS DAMAGED ON BOTH SIDES NEAR THE WINDSHIELD BECAUSE IT SLAMMED INTO WINDSHIELD WHEN IT POPPED OPEN.WE ARE DEMANDING JUSTICE AND REPAIR OF OUR VEHICLE AND A SAFETY CHECK. *JS

DRIVING THE 2013 NISSAN ALTIMA AT APPROXIMATELY 6:30AM, GOING APPROX 10-15 MILES PER HOUR THE HOOD UNEXPECTEDLY FLEW OPEN. THE CAR WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE HOOD CLOSED. THE IMPACT OF THE HOOD FLYING OPEN BENT BACK METAL NEAR THE WINDSHIELD ON BOTH FENDERS AND THE BUMPER WAS SCRAPED HITTING A CURB OR SOMETHING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, THE HOOD OF THE VEHICLE POPPED OPEN, SLAMMING THE HOOD ON THE CAB OF THE CAR OBSTRUCTING THE VIEW. NEVERTHELESS, AS I AM CERTAIN YOU ARE AWARE, THE SECONDARY LATCH SHOULD HAVE PREVENTED SUCH A NEARLY TRAGIC SEQUENCE OF EVENTS. I WENT TO GAS STATION TO FILL MY LAWN MOWER GAS CAN. I THOUGHT I OPENED THE TRUNK WHERE THE CAN WAS STORED. IT DIDN'T OPEN SO I RE-CLICKED THE LATCH. TRUNK OPENED. GOT BACK ON THE ROAD, SMALL TOWN, NO TRAFFIC AND MY HOOD FLEW OPEN AND BACK AGAINST THE WINDSHIELD. I MAY HAVE INADVERTENTLY HIT THE HOOD LATCH THE 1ST TIME-NOT SURE BUT REGARDLESS, THE SECONDARY CATCH SHOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS AT 25 - 30 MPH. WHAT IF I HAD BEEN ON EXPRESSWAY?
