Ford and ford dealearship is not willing to provide or service 15B22 recalls.
Overheating issue still occurred on Cylinder 2, previous recall did not assist in repairing the problem due to poor cooling design from factory. Refer to Recall 17S09 (17V209000) from April 21, 2017.
The ignition is out on the car. And I’ve heard it’s common with ford fiesta.
The back passenger back door had problems wouldn’t close rt now can’t open. In May it felt like it wasn’t getting power, engine light said turn off car for 10 minutes, while stuck in traffic, so i had it towed to Upland Ford Dealers, they charged me $209.99 Just to look at it! Then after inspecting it they wanted almost $4,000. Which i can’t afford. They said it was the Clutch Assembly part. The car also has some electrical problems like the car stopped showing the millage last was a round 101. The phone not connecting & the charger plug not working either
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated the vehicle was taken to the dealer for a transmission diagnostic test that was requested by the manufacturer; however, the contact felt that the dealer had not performed the diagnostic test because the dealer only identified general maintenance issues unrelated to the transmission. The contact was informed by the dealer that the lower dog bone mount was detaching from the engine torque restrictor. The contact also stated that the vehicle was making a rubbing noise and the RPM sensor continued to fluctuate while driving or slowing down during acceleration. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle rolled back while on an incline. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,465.
Engine light comes on was told there was a recall but never got any notice in the mail. Supposedly it the transmission module. But wasn’t sure. Ford wanted me to pay to have a diagnostics test done on it
The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated while driving 20 MPH, the vehicle failed to properly accelerate. The contact stated that the vehicle was shaking abnormally. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to a faulty clutch plate. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was not under warranty. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.
Need a new block head
My car just died on me. No warning or anything. Took the dealership 2 and half weeks to fix my car. They came to the conclusion that it was my Trans harness cable. Cost $820.00 to fix.
My vehicle was serviced by elk grove ford service dept. only 250 miles ago and the vehicle is back in for more service. time before did the same thing said the problem was this and when they repaired they called and said this is now wrong, I keep asking why no answer. Now the vehicle had to be taken in and I believe because I have put in complaints before that they are f with me and messing with me I told them elk grove ford [XXX] that the engine light came on and the wrench light on the engine came on, they called me and told me around march 30th that it needed this and that, they came back now and said the power train control module is needed and they cant find any part for it I found a part the advisor said the parts person looked half...
2014 Ford Fiesta ST engine failure due to known issue with engine block design. I had an extended warranty on the vehicle that was purchased with the vehicle from Key Chevrolet in Middletown. After experiencing a piston flutter, I took the vehicle to them under the warranty for repair, however, they could not locate the problem and recommended that I visit a Ford dealer. (9/2/22) Prior to the failure I attempted to have a recall repair performed with multiple ford dealerships throughout the state (Tasca, Monaco, Gengras, Dowling) and was told that they cannot currently get the parts to perform the repair. (Sep 2022) I contacted a recall rep after the failure and I was told it would be 4-6 weeks before a dealer could even look at it and that I could have a private mechanic (I chose to take it to Firestone in Middletown) repair and apply for...
None of the recalls were ever done to my vehicle. Mailing problems didn’t receive notification in mail. Door handle fell off and window handles coming off. Tag light glitching and in car press light doing the same. Crack plastic parts of car cracked years ago. Strange engine leak. Door panels coming off and panel around gear broke a year after I got the car. I sent complaint two years ago. I have not heard from anyone.
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY ENGINE BEGAN TO OVERHEAT AND SPUTTER AND BEGAN LOSING POWER.
WHILE DRIVING THE ENGINE STARTED TO SURGE, MISFIRE AND THEN FOR NO APPARENTLY REASON THE ENGINE SHUT-OFF AND WOULD NOT RESTART. AFTER ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES IT FIRED BACK UP AND RAN MOMENTARILY AND THEN DIED AGAIN .HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP, BUT THEY CLAIM THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE SAME PROBLEM. DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THE CAR ANYMORE, UNLESS THEY CAN RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM. A SAFETY HAZARD AND SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO FURTHER BY THE FORD MOTOR CO.
CAR IS OVERHEATING CONSTANTLY
MY VEHICLE, AFTER LESS THAN 75K MILES BEGAN TO HAVE OVERHEATING PROBLEMS. I HAD VARIOUS PARTS REPLACED UNTIL FINALLY IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE HEAD GASKET HAD BLOWN ON IT. AFTER RESEARCHING FORUMS AND SITES WHERE OTHER OWNERS OF THE SAME VEHICLE OR VEHICLES WITH THE SAME TYPE OF ENGINE, WERE EXPERIENCING ISSUES MUCH LIKE MINE. THE ENGINE HEAD IT MADE OF ALUMINIUM AND THE ENGINE BLOCK IS MADE OF CAT IRON. THIS FACT COUPLED WITH HIGH CYLINDER PRESSURES AND A NATURALLY HIGH ENGINE OPERATING TEMPERATURE RESULTS IN VARIOUS PARTS FAILING TO TO EXCESSIVE PRESSURE AND HEATING. ALTHOUGH FORD HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THIS ISSUE BY UPDATING THEIR REPLACEMENT COMPONENTS, THEY HAVE NOT ADDRESSED THE SAFETY OR MONETARY IMPACT OF THOSE WHO HAVE HAD TO REPAIR A KNOWN PROBLEM IN THEIR ENGINES.
THE TRANSMISSION ON THIS FORD FIESTA WAS DEFECTIVE FROM THE DAY IT WAS BUILT. FORD HAS BEEN SUED AND MUST TAKE CARE OF THE BILLIONS OF CUSTOMERS WHO BOUGHT THESE VEHICLES. THE ENGINE IS NOT EQUIPT TO HANDLE THIS TRANSMISSION AND EVENTUALLY BLOWS THE ENGINE, BEFORE ALL THAT HAPPENS THE TRANSMISSION STALLS, AND LEAVES YOU ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. A RECALL ABOUT THE COOLING SYSTEM NOT WORKING PROPERLY WAS ISSUED FOR CARS SIMILAR TO THIS ONE BUT NOT SPECIFICALLY. AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS. CLUTCH SHUDDER SLOW ACCELERATION FORD DEALERSHIP IN ELDORADO SERVICED IT BUT THE PROBLEM STILL EXIST
I WAS DRIVING MY CAR HOME FROM WORK AND MY ENGINE TEMPERATURE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR LOST ALL POWER AND LOST ALL COOLANT WITH NO APPARENT LEAKS. WE FILLED UP THE COOLANT TWICE AND WITHIN MINUTES IT HAD ALL DISAPPEARED.
VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE UNDERNEATH ENGINE AREA, UNSURE WHY AS OF NOW BUT DO HAVE FIRE REPORT. BOUGHT VEHICLE SATURDAY AND BY MONDAY IT WAS ON FIRE.OIL WAS SPILLING OUT OF BOTTOM.

TOWED IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THE COOLANT LEAKED INTO THE CYLINDER HEAD AND I WOULD NEED A NEW ENGINE. I HAVE READ OTHER ACCOUNTS WHERE CAR STALLED OR CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE CONTACT PURCHASED A USED ENGINE AND PERFORMED THE REPAIR ON HIS OWN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE MOST RECENT FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY CAR WAS IDLING VERY ROUGH AT START, AND WAS MISFIRING SEVERELY. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS WERE COMING ON. THE PROBLEM WOULD SUBSIDE AFTER DRIVING FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES, BUT IF THE CAR SAT AND WAS ALLOWED TO COOL FOR ANY PERIOD OF TIME, THE PROBLEM WOULD RETURN. AFTER INVESTIGATION THE SHOP FOUND THE CYLINDER HEAD HAD CRACKED AND MY SPARK PLUGS & CYLINDERS WERE ALL FULL OF COOLANT DUE TO A LEAK. AFTER MINIMAL RESEARCH I FOUND THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE OF FORD ECOBOOST ENGINES, AND THERE WAS A NATIONWIDE RECALL IN THE UK DUE TO THIS ISSUE CAUSING CARS TO COMBUST INTO FLAMES WHILE DRIVING. VEHICLE OVERHEATS FREQUENTLY WHILE IDLING. ENGINE COOLANT HAS BEEN CHECKED AND TOPPED OFF. FUSES HAVE BEEN REPLACED.
VEHICLE STALLS RANDOMLY AND DIES AT LOW SPEEDS, FORD WILL NOT ADDRESS IT AS A PART OF THEIR RECALLS, WAS TOLD I NEED TO PAY FOR ALL REPAIRS OUT OF POCKET, VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY AND SPORADIC OCCURRENCES OF STALLING. ENGINE AND WRENCH LIGHT WILL RANDOMLY COME ON AND OFF BEFORE THE VEHICLE BEGINS STALLING. IT WILL QUITE LITERALLY SIEZE UP ON OCCASION AND NOT BE ABLE TO ACCELERATE. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN SHUDDERING FOR YEARS AND UNTIL EVEN THE LAST DAY THEY EXPLAINED THAT IT WAS NORMAL FOR THAT TYPE OF VEHICLE TO REACT WITH THE SHUDDERINGS BEFORE TAKING OFF. SATURDAT JULY 30, 2019MY VEHICLE OVERHEATED.VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN FOR COOLING MAINTENANCE. RADIATOR THERMOSTAT AND COOLING RESERVOIR WAS CHECKED. I WAS ADVISED TO MONITOR THE COOLANT LEVEL. ON AIGUST 10, 2019 WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE DISPLAYED "OVERHEATING". I PULLED OVER AND OPENED THE HOOD. WHEN I OPEN THE HOOD THE COOLANT WAS BOILING. I WAITED 20 MINS FOR THE BOILING TO SUBSIDE. I SLOWLY REMOVED THE CAP AND THE COOLANT LEVEL STARTED TO RISE WHICH WAS THE SAME ISSUE AS BEFORE.
TCM IT HAS A SLOW ACCELERATION IT TAKES LONGER THAN NORMAL FOR IT TO PICK UP SPEED AND THE CAYATIC CONVERTER
I LEASED THE CAR THROUGH MY BANK ON MAY 5TH 2016 WITH JUST OVER 35,000 MILES. TWO MONTHS INTO THAT THE CAR DIDN'T START AND ALL ELECTRONIC LIGHTS WERE FLICKERING. IT DISPLAYED TRANSMISSION MALFUNCTION. I TOWED THE CAR TO A BIG FORD REPAIR SHOP. THEY SAID IT NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION UPDATE AND A NEW CLUTCH. THEY TOOK CARE OF IT. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVEN (7) TIMES SINCE I GOT THE CAR MAY 2016. PRETTY MUCH EVERY FOUR MONTHS. IT IS COMPLETELY INCONVENIENT AND COSTLY. I HAVE ALSO BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE EVAP FUEL COMPONENTS. I HAVE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON NOW AND IT NEEDS TO BE SERVICED. THE LAST TIME I GOT A TRANSMISSION UPDATE FROM FORD WAS IN MARCH 2019. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE WAS LEAKING COOLANT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DONLEY FORD-LINCOLN OF ASHLAND (1641 CLAREMONT AVE, ASHLAND, OH 44805, (419) 281-3673) AND THEY REPAIRED THE HOSE THAT WAS LEAKING THE COOLANT. FIFTEEN MINUTES AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE ILLUMINATED AGAIN AND THE CONTACT HAD TO PULL OVER FROM THE HIGHWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY FOUND A CRACK IN THE ENGINE THAT CAUSED THE FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE ONLY REMEDY WAS TO INSTALL A NEW ENGINE AND THE REPAIR COST WAS QUOTED AT $5,000. THE VEHICLE'S EXTENDED WARRANTY EXPIRED AT 100,000 MILES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 107,000.
TAKATA RECALL MY A/C STARTED TO FAIL WITH NO WARNING. AFTER PUTTING MY CAR IN PARK, SMOKE STARTED TO RISE FROM THE ROOF AND A DARK COLOR LIQUID (PERHAPS OIL) STARTED TO LEAK FROM UNDERNEATH THE CAR. I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE FORD DEALERSHIP, AND THEY CONCLUDED THE COOLANT WAS LOW AND IT MIGHT HAVE CAUGHT CONTACT WITH THE ENGINE, CAUSING IT TO SMOKE. THIS INITIAL CONCLUSION FROM THE FORD DEALERSHIP THAN LED TO THEM CLAIMING; THE TUBES HAD A HOLE, THE FAN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AND THE BELT WAS HEAT DAMAGED. WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY ABOUT 40-50 MPH, ENGINE TEMPERATURE GAUGE ACTIVATES, VEHICLE PULLED OVER TO AUTO SHOP. MECHANIC MENTIONED SAME ISSUE WITH SAME MODEL AND YEAR FORD FIESTAS HAVING SAME ISSUE OF OVERHEATING CAUSING DAMAGE TO ENGINE PISTONS. RECALL COVERED MODEL ST NOT THIS MODEL OF SE FOR SAME ISSUE ON SAME ENGINE.
MY CAR DOES NOT ALWAYS GO WHEN THE GAS IS HIT. WHEN YOU GO TO PULL OUT WHILE STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN, THE CAR ACTS LIKE IT IS STALLING OUT, SHAKES, MAKES GRINDING NOISE IN THE ENGINE. HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR THE ISSUES. I'VE HAD THE DUAL CLUTCH REPLACED AND MODULE REPROGRAMMED A FEW TIMES. I WAS TOLD NUMEROUS TIMES BY THE FORD TECH, THAT THE SHUTTERING IS NORMAL FOR THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE. THIS IS NOT NORMAL. I HAD OTHER PEOPLE DRIVE MY CAR AND THEY ALSO AGREE THAT IT SHOULDN'T DRIVE HOW IT DOES. I HAVE TO AVOID STEEP HILLS BECAUSE THE ACCELERATION DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK.
2014 FORD FIESTA 47,000 MILES NOW NOT ONLY HAS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM BUT SUDDENLY A LEAKING WATER PUMP. ACCORDING TO SEVERAL CAR SITES, THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST FORD FOR THE WATER PUMP LEAK. I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE FROM THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE AND THEY ARE CLAIMING THAT TOO BAD, I'M OUT OF LUCK AND WILL HAVE TO PAY $724 OUT OF POCKET TO GET IT FIXED. THIS CAR HAS HAD TOO MANY RECALLS AND IT WAS BARELY DRIVEN TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM. FORD NEEDS TO PAY UP AND MAKE BETTER CARS. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. THEY HAVE LOST A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE.
THE VEHICLE STALLS WHILE DRIVING OR TURNING AND THE TRANSMISSION WARNING KEEPS COMING UP ON THE DASHBOARD ALSO IT HAS MADE THE ENGINE INDICATOR STAY ON. WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED AND ON IT SEEMS IT HAS NO ISSUES THEN WHEN YOU TAKE IT OUT OF PARK IT STARTS STALLING IMMEDIATELY.
CAR HAS BEEN JUMPING SINCE I GOT IT IN 2016, THE PLACE I GOT IT FROM SAID IT WAS NORMAL AND NOW THE ENGINE LIGHT AND TRANSMISSION LIGHT IS ON

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V209000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AND 15V005000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,101.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD FIESTA. WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED AND SMOKE WAS PRESENT COMING FROM THE EXHAUST. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BEAU TOWSEND FORD (1020 W. NATIONAL RD, VANDALIA, OH) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE CYLINDER MALFUNCTIONED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE AND WAS REPAIRED IN 2017. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
AFTER FILLING THE CAR WITH FUEL, CAR TRIES TO STALL AND DROP RPM'S WHILE IDLING. CAR STALLED TWICE WHILE ROLLING TO A RED LIGHT AFTER FILLING UP. PROBLEM GOES AWAY AFTER 10-15 MINUTES OF DRIVING. RPM WHILE IDLING IS HIGHLY UNPREDICTABLE AFTER FILLING UP.
FORD IS SAYING THAT THEY HAVE THE PARTS TO COVER THIS RECALL, BUT THEY ARE ON BACKORDER AND HARD TO GET, AND THE DEALERS DO NOT RECEIVE ADEQUATE PARTS TO DO THE JOB, NOR ARE THEY GETTING THE PROPER INSTRUCTIONS OR TRAINING TO DO THE JOB. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN FOR 25 DAYS, ON A JOB THAT IS SUPPOSED TO TAKE 5 HOURS, AND THERE IS NO WORD ON WHEN OR IF IT WILL EVER BE COMPLETED.
I WAS DRIVING AND MY DOOR FLEW OPEN. I'VE OWNED THE CAR 4 YEARS. I'VE HAD 2 TRANSMISSION CLUTCHES REPLACED, 2 SYNC SYSTEMS REPLACED, THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER PARTS BUT I DON'T HAVE THAT INFO AT THE MOMENT. THERE HAVE BEEN 8-9 PARTS IN TOTAL. SOME OF THE RECALLS I HAVE RESEARCHED WERE BEFORE I WAS SOLD THE CAR. I HAVE CONTACTED FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND WAS TOLD IF I DIDN'T LIKE IT, DON'T BUY ANOTHER FORD. I JUST HAD THE LATEST TRANSMISSION CLUTCH AND SYNC REPLACED A FEW MONTHS AGO AND ASKED ABOUT ANY CURRENT RECALLS AND WAS TOLD NONE AT THE MOMENT. I HAD MY WARNING LIGHT SENSOR CHECKED LAST MONTH BECAUSE IT CAME ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I WAS TOLD NOTHING WAS FOUND AND THEY RESET THE LIGHT. IT CAME BACK ON. STILL NOTHING FOUND. I HAVE CONTACTED THEM REPEATEDLY ONLY TO RECEIVE NO HELP. THESE...
COOLING SYSTEM FAILS ON THE CAR WITHOUT WARNING. THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE AND OVER TEMPERATURE WARNING LIGHT DO NOT INDICATE / COME ON UNTIL THE ENGINE FAILS AND THE VEHICLE LOOSES POWER. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE ENGINE TWO TIMES. EACH TIME THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF LOW COOLANT OR OVERHEATING CONDITION. MY CAR WAS AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND LOST POWER AND SHUT OFF WITHIN SECONDS LEAVING NO TIME TO SAFELY PULL OFF THE ROAD. BOTH TIMES I WAS ON A STATE HIGHWAY WITH LITTLE TO NO BERM.
LOW COOLANT LEVEL CAME ON (WHERE DID IT GO?) FILLED UP COOLANT. STILL LOW. CAR WOULDN'T START. TOWED TO DEALER AND THEY SAID "FOUND #1 CYLINDER HAS NO COMPRESSION. REMOVED SPARK PLUGS, WET WITH COOLANT. BORE SCOPED CYLINDER, FOUND WET" THEY SAY I NEED NEW ENGINE (WITH A $4800 QUOTE). WHY DID COOLANT ALL OF THE SUDDEN LEAK INTO ENGINE WITHOUT WARNING? CAR WAS IN MOTION.
RATTLE IN TRANSMISSION WHEN EXCELLERATING FROM 10-30 MILES AN HOUR. HAVE HAD IT IN SHOP AND THEY TELL ME ITS IN THE TRANSMISSION AND THAT THE CAR HAS A LOT OF PLASTIC PARTS THAT MAY CAUSE THE RATTLE, BUT NO FIX? THEY COULD NOT TELL ME IF THIS WAS DANGEROUS OR NOT?? SOMETIMES IT IS VERY LOUD. CITY STREET DRIVING, SOME FREEWAY, AND TURNING. CK'D FOR RECALLS, FOUND NONE. THIS IS ON GOING, EVERYDAY.
