The door latch is broken. Door latch will not lock when door is closed. Causing the door to stay open while driving
The back passenger back door had problems wouldn’t close rt now can’t open. In May it felt like it wasn’t getting power, engine light said turn off car for 10 minutes, while stuck in traffic, so i had it towed to Upland Ford Dealers, they charged me $209.99 Just to look at it! Then after inspecting it they wanted almost $4,000. Which i can’t afford. They said it was the Clutch Assembly part. The car also has some electrical problems like the car stopped showing the millage last was a round 101. The phone not connecting & the charger plug not working either
The transmission shift level locks in Park. The vehicle is available for inspection. Safety was a concern as I was stopped in a school unloading zone/fire lane and was unable to place the shifter in drive. This caused the lane to be blocked. I googled the problem, and was able to remove a cover and access a manual release. I do not know if the problem was previously inspected, however, it is a common search item on Google/internet. There was no prior warning. The problem persists and I will have it checked.
Transmission malfunctions while accelerating. Pulling into a busy road, the vehicle randomly stops accelerating which cause other vehicles to swerve to avoid a crash. The RMP will increase and loose acceleration and then there is no function of the acceleration. As soon as the warning light came on, contacted a dealer and the wait times are over 2 months. The dealer does not want to keep the vehicle and prefers you keep driving until they call you to bring it in.
I am remembering one incident I had years ago. It was my first year since I got my first driver license. I parked my car. While I was getting off with half of my body already outside the car, my car started moving forward. I jumped back in a car in a shock and tried to stop the car. I realized that I had not removed my car key. I also realized that a stick shift was in neutral position. I told myself that it was my wrong-doing, but after reading numerous complaints and lawsuits against Ford Fiesta over the last years, I am not so sure if it was my fault or the car's defect. It happened only once and can not reproduce this. Around the same time, I have also experienced car not starting several times but again I told myself I am just an idiot for not...
My car just died on me. No warning or anything. Took the dealership 2 and half weeks to fix my car. They came to the conclusion that it was my Trans harness cable. Cost $820.00 to fix.
My vehicle was serviced by elk grove ford service dept. only 250 miles ago and the vehicle is back in for more service. time before did the same thing said the problem was this and when they repaired they called and said this is now wrong, I keep asking why no answer. Now the vehicle had to be taken in and I believe because I have put in complaints before that they are f with me and messing with me I told them elk grove ford [XXX] that the engine light came on and the wrench light on the engine came on, they called me and told me around march 30th that it needed this and that, they came back now and said the power train control module is needed and they cant find any part for it I found a part the advisor said the parts person looked half...
As I'm driving the car will stop if I get it to go again it won't pick up speed, it will rev up but not go, I was told that it has all the original parts that was until I had someone look at it for the problem stated since then it has new spark plugs new front brakes, break's in back have been rotated new tires, I'm still paying a car note on this car I've had to pay towing fees and still the problem persist I'm scared to put my boys in this car but it's our only form of transportation the dealer that sold me this car is horrible and Ford was of no help, still trying to find the main issue.
Clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder failure. Both leaked, clutch pedal ceased functioning while driving, leaving the car inoperable
FRONT DOOR ON PASSENGER SIDE WILL NOT LATCH,. MECHANICALLY OR ELECTRICALLY. TO REPEAT, THE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH AND SWINGS FREELY. THIS OCCURRED AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE AND ATTEMPTING TO LOCK ALL THE DOORS.

WHEN ATTEMPTING TO EXIT THE VEHICLE, I OPENED THE DOOR AND THE LOCK ASSEMBLY ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR FELL OF.
THE FIRST TIME WAS BEFORE MARIA TOOK THE CAR TO THE FORD OF CAROLINA IN PUERTO RICO. I WAS INFORMED TO CALL A NUMBER THAT WAS IN THE LETTER. I CALLED AND I NEVER GOT MY PHONE ANSWERED. THEN AFTER MARIA (THE HURRICANE) THEY WERE NOT TENDING TO ANYONE AND THERE WAS A ROLE LETTING US KNOW THAT I COULD GO TO FORD DE FAJARDO, FORD DE PONCE, FORD OF KENNEDY AVENUE OR THE FORD DE CAGUAS. FOR MY CONDITION, IT WAS PERTINENT TO BE CARED FOR IN CAROLINA. AFTER THAT DAY THEY CLOSED TRADES AND LEFT (SO AS NOT TO SERVE ANYONE). THEN 2 LETTERS ARRIVED AND INFORMED ME THAT I HAD TO WAIT FOR A THIRD LETTER TO ARRIVEN THE INFORMATION OF PROCEED TO REPAIR THE DOORS THAT OPEN WHEN THE CARRIAGE IS BEING DRIVEN FROM THE INSIDE OUT.
CLICKING SOUND JUST RANDOMLY STARTED FROM INSIDE THE DASHBOARD,WITHIN FEW SECONDS OF STARTING THE ENGINE. A QUICK YOUTUBE SEARCH CAME BACK WITH HVAC BLEND DOOR MOTOR AS THE CULPRIT. SEEMS LIKE A COMMON ISSUE BUT A HUGE NUISANCE AS THESE SMALL PARTS STARTS RANDOMLY WEARING OUT IN LESS THAN 100K MILES / WITHIN 6 YEARS.

MY DOOR ALL OF SUDDEN OPEN WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE STREET WHILE HAVING MY DAUGHTER IN THE BACK STREET WHICH SCARED ME. THINKING IT WAS MY DOOR WHO OPEN THE DOOR BUT I HAVE THE CHILD SAFETY ON. MY RADIO STARTED ACTING STRANGELY ABOUT 3 MONTHS AGO. WHEN THE RADIO WAS ON THERE WAS IRREGULAR SQUEALING COMING FROM IT. WHEN IT FIRST STARTED, THE SQUEALING WAS ONLY WHEN THE RADIO WAS ON AND I WAS DRIVING THE CAR. LATER, THE SQUEALING ALSO STARTED TO INCLUDE LOUD POPPING NOISES, VERY MUCH LIKE AN OLD STEREO SPEAKER LOSING ITS WIRE CONNECTION. THE LOUD POPPING WAS VERY INCONSISTENT . IT THEN STARTED HAPPENING EVERY TIME I WAS IN THE CAR. IT DIDN'T MATTER IF THE RADIO WAS ON OR NOT. I EVEN TRIED TURNING DOWN THE VOLUME, WHILE THE RADIO WAS OFF. THE POPPING NOISE WAS EXTREMELY LOUD AND DISTRACTING WHILE TRYING TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE . MANY TIME BECAUSE THE POP WAS SO LOUD I WOULD JERK THE STEERING WHEEL IN ONE DIRECTION OR ANOTHER. PASSENGERS THAT RODE IN MY CAR DURING SOME OF THE INCIDENCES HAD COMMENTED ON IT...
ITS GEAR OR TRANSMISSION PROBLEM .. WHICH THE CAR WILL HAVE VIBRATION OR THEY CALL IT SHUTTERING .. ITS REPEATATIVE .. FORD WILL FIX AND RETURN THE CAR .. AFTER FEW MONTHS IT WILL HAVE THE SAME ISSUE AGAIN WHEN I ASKED ABOUT IT THEY SAID ITS FAMOUS FOR SOME CARS LIKE FIGO , FOCUS, FIEATA AND ECOSPORT .THE VEHICLE WAS NOT RECALLED BUT THE WARRANTY IS EXTENDED AND NOT ANNOUNCED .. BY CHANCE I KNEW THAT .. DOORS LOCKER .. SUDDENLY ONE OF THE FOUR DOORS WONT CLOSE TRYING TO SHUT THE DOOR BUT IT WONT CLOSE THE BEST SOLUTION WAS TO CLOSE THE DOOR AND TIE IT WITH SEAT BUILT ( AS EMERGENCY PROCEDURE TILL I REACH TO AGENCY OR GARAGE ) IT HAPPENED TWICE WITH MY CAR. BUT NO RECALL WHICH IS UNSAFE . FOR THE TRANSMISSION STARTED WHEN I BOUGHT MY CAR.
THE CAR WAS STATIONARY IN MY YARD AND WHEN I STARTED DRIVING THE AIRBAG LIGHT WOULD TURN ON AND WHEN I TURN OFF THE CAR AND ON AGAIN WOULD GO AWAY THEN WOULD RETURN AGAIN BEING STATIONARY
THE ISSUE IN QUESTION INVOLVES THE DOOR LATCH MECHANISM. THERE WAS PREVIOUSLY A RECALL ISSUED FOR FORD FIESTA VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BETWEEN 2012 AND 2014. MY VEHICLE IS A 2014 MODEL AND THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. THIS RECALL WAS PUT INTO EFFECT EITHER IN 2014 OR 2015 WHEN THE ISSUE BECAME PROMINENT AND PRONOUNCED. THIS IS THE FIRST INCIDENT AND/OR ISSUE THAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE DRIVER SIDE REAR DOOR JUST DECIDED NOT TO LATCH TWO DAYS AGO WHEN I ARRIVED AT WORK AFTER RETRIEVING ITEMS FROM THE BACK SEAT. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING TO SEE IF IT COULD BE RECTIFIED AS WELL AS FIND OUT IF ANY ACTIVE RECALLS WERE PRESENTLY UNREPAIRED. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE ARE NO ACTIVE RECALLS FOR THE DOOR LATCH SYSTEM, HOWEVER IT IS FEASIBLE AND RECOMMENDED THAT ANOTHER RECALL...
VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE UNDERNEATH ENGINE AREA, UNSURE WHY AS OF NOW BUT DO HAVE FIRE REPORT. BOUGHT VEHICLE SATURDAY AND BY MONDAY IT WAS ON FIRE.OIL WAS SPILLING OUT OF BOTTOM.
THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR'S LATCH STOPPED WORKING. NO DAMAGES OR ACCIDENTS WERE DONE TO MY CAR. I RARELY USE THE REAR OF MY CAR. HOWEVER, MY VIN NUMBER DOESN'T SHOW A RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH MY SPECIFIC CAR EVEN THOUGH THERE IS AN ACKNOWLEDGED RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE FOR MY SPECIFIC YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL OF MY CAR. ALSO, LESS THAN A WEEK LATER, THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE DOOR'S LATCH BROKE IN THE EXACT SAME WAY AS THE PASSENGER REAR DOOR'S LATCH. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND CAN LEAD TO ACCIDENTS AND PERSONAL HARM. I WANT TO GET ALL MY LATCH'S FIXED, REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE ONE I HAD TO PAY FOR, AND AN APOLOGY FROM FORD. I CHECKED MY VIN NUMBER AND THE RESULT SHOWED "0 UNREPAIRED RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH THIS VIN". HOWEVER, THIS SPECIFIC RESPONSE DOES NOT MEAN THERE WAS NEVER A RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CAR. I HAVE FORD FIESTA 2014. . THE RADIO NOT WORKING. WHEN I SEARCH ON INTERNET, YOUTUBE I NOTICED THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE ( FORD FIESTA OWNERS) HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. FORD COMPANY MAY FIX IT.
DOOR LATCH ON BACK DRIVERS SIDE OPENED DURING MOVEMENT OF CAR ON A CITY STREET. MY DAUGHTER WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER BUT WAS UNABLE TO CLOSE DOOR. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO FORD AND THE VIN WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE 3 MILLION CARS SERVICED FOR THIS VERY SAME ISSUE.
RIGHT REAR DOOR LATCH STOPPED WORKING SUDDENLY. BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY I NOTICED MY PASSENGER REAR DOOR SWING OPEN. I STOPPED TO CLOSE IT BUT IT BOUNCED OFF THE FRAME WITH EACH ATTEMPT. WOULD NOT LATCH NO MATTER HOW HARD I PUSHED. HAD TO PUT CAR IN GARAGE BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY TO SECURE THE CONTENTS.
ON JULY 23 2019, I NOTICED MY CAR DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE. THIS IS THE SECOND INCIDENT IN ONE YEAR. FORD IS PUTTING MY LIFE AND MY FAMILY'S LIFE IN DANGER. LAST YEAR, IT WAS THE LEFT REAR DOOR, MORE RECENTLY IT WAS THE DRIVER'S DOOR.
WHILE PARKED TO FUEL MY CAR, I OPENED THE REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR. UPON CLOSING THE DOOR IT WOULD CLOSE BUT IT WOULD NOT LATCH. I HAD TO SECURE THE DOOR CLOSED WITH THE REAR SEATBELT TO MAKE IT HOME WITHOUT THE DOOR OPENING WHILE I WAS DRIVING.

HAVE HAD CONSTANT ISSUES WITH THE RADIO UNIT, NOW ON MY 2ND UNIT. RADIO STARTS MAKING A POPPING, CRACKLING, THUMPING LOUD SOUND FROM THE SPEAKERS, UNTIL STOPS WORKING WITH NO SOUND. THEN THESE THUMPING SOUNDS ARE GENERATED EVEN WITH THE RADIO OFF (NOT PLAYING ANYTHING)! WHICH I PRESUME A SHORT OR WIRING ISSUE. I'M SHOCKED WE HAVEN'T GOTTEN IN AN ACCIDENT FROM JUMPING/JERKING THE STEERING WHEEL WHEN IT HAPPENS. MANY COMPLAINTS ONLINE TO FORD ABOUT FIESTAS AND FOCUS VEHICLES BUT THEY HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING, AND THE DEALER JUST WANTS TO CHARGE FOR LABOR JUST FOR INSPECTING. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE. THANKS
DRIVERS SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE "LATCH" THIS ALSO HAS PREVIOUSLY HAPPENED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR DOOR. A RECALL IS IN EFFECT FOR SOME 2014 FORD FIESTA'S BUT THIS ONE IS NOT ON THE LIST. FORD COMPANY KNOWINGLY PUT FAULTY A TRANSMISSION IN THEIR VEHICLES. TO REMEDY THE SITUATION THEY THEN GAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE TRANSMISSION, BUT WHEN TAKE YOUR CAR TO A FORD DEALERSHIP THEY REFUSE TO REPAIR THINGS THAT PART OF THE TRANSMISSION. THIS IS VERY MISLEADING TO CONSUMERS AND A HAZARD FOR ME AND MY CHILDREN SAFETY ON THE ROAD. THE GEARS SHIFT WHILE IN MOTION, WHICH HAS ALMOST SEVERAL TIMES CAUSED OTHER VEHICLES TO HIT ME. WHEN AT A STOP PULLING OFF IT WILL BARELY ACCELERATE OR GIVE A JERKING ACCELERATION, WHICH IS AWFUL WHEN PEDESTRIANS ARE NEAR. ALL OF WHICH HAPPENS SPORADICALLY ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN CITY TRAFFIC. THIS HAS BEEN A CONTINUOUS PROBLEM 2 YEARS AND THUS FAR I'VE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO THREE DIFFERENT FORD DEALERSHIP AND NONE ARE WILLING TO UPHOLD THE FORD WARRANTY AND/OR ADDRESS THE ISSUE THAT FORD KNOWS IS A HAZARD....
DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION;THE CAR HESITATES AND SPUTTERS WHEN YOU ACCELERATE, AS IF IT IS GOING TO SHUT DOWN COMPLETELY. LAST YEAR, I RECEIVED NOTICE OF LAWSUIT FILED IN CALIFORNIA AS TO THE DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION AND WAS TOLD THAT I COULD SETTLE WITH A DISPUTE RESOLUTION SPECIALIST WHICH DENIED ME THE REPURCHASE/REPLACEMENT BECAUSE I HAVE A 5 YEAR WARRANTY. THE TRANSMISSION IS DEFECTIVE AND CANNOT BE FIXED, IT DOES NOT MATTER IF THE WARRANTY IS 5 YEARS OR MORE. THE TRADE-IN VALUE OF THIS CAR IS SO LOW, I CANNOT AFFORD TO PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE. I JUST WANT ALL TO KNOW THAT FORD DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR DEFECTIVE VEHICLES.
I GOT VEHICLE AT A WELL KNOWN CAR DEALERSHIP - USED. IT WAS GIVEN '120 POINT INSPECTION' SO THE CAR WAS IN 'GOOD TO GO' CONDITION. I WALKED OUT WITH LUCKILY SOME MAX PROTECTION INSURANCE FROM THEM, WHERE THEY WOULD COVER ANY NON- WARE & TEAR REPAIRS. GREAT DECISION AT FIRST, MAYBE NOT EVEN A YEAR IN AT ROUGHLY 80K MILES THE CAR AC DOES NOT GET COOL, WHEN AT A STOP OR SLOW SPEED THE CAR WOULD START TO OVERHEAT & IN STALL - THIS IS A MANUAL VEHICLE SO YOU WOULD HAVE TO DROP GEAR IN ORDER TO GAIN SPEED BACK AND COOL THE ENGINE. THE COOLING FAN WASN'T TURNING OVER ST ANY POINT, I REPLACED THE FUSE MAYBE 3-4 TIMES AND IT KEPT BLOWING OUT. FINALLY I TOOK IT IN TO GET CHECKED OUT, APPARENTLY THE FAN RELAY FUSE WAS BLOWN OUT CAUSING THE SMALLER FUSE TO...
A HEATER VENT IS STUCK AND THE TIMING BELT IS SLIPPING OVER IT AS THE CAR STARTS UP. SOUNDS LIKE AN AUTOMATIC GUN GOING OFF. HAPPENS EVERY TIME I START THE CAR. OCCASIONALLY HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS MOVING AND THE SUN COMES OUT. HAVE TRIED TURNING TO AC OFF AND THE FANS OFF NOTHING HELPS.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY DURING THE SUMMER IN HOUSTON MY A/C COMPRESSOR FAILED AND PRODUCED A DISTURBING ODOR WITHIN THE CAR. IT INHERENTLY HAS CAUSED DRIVING DURING THE SUMMER TO BECOME VERY TAXING DUE TO THE HEAT EVEN WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN AND ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS I HAVE BECOME DIZZY DUE TO THE HEAT. A FEW DAYS LATER I HAD 2 BLEND MOTORS ALSO FAIL WITH THE A/C SYSTEM THAT NOW CAUSE INTERMITTENT AND LOUD CLICKING NOISES THAT CAN BE DISTRACTING WHILE DRIVING.

THE RIGHT SIDE PASSENGER DOOR LATCH IS NOT WORKING.THE DOOR WILL NOT CLOSE.. WE WERE IN A PARKING LOT. AND WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR.IT WASN'T CLOSING?? SO I HAD TO HOLD THE DOOR CLOSE.WHILE TRYING TO GET BACK HOME.
TAKATA RECALL I HAD AN ISSUE WITH MY DOOR LATCHES. WHILE I HAD MY VEHICLE IN MOTION, A NOTIFICATION CAME UP THAT MY DOOR SUDDENLY OPEN. I WAS ABLE TO GET OUT AND ATTEMPT TO CLOSE MY REAR DOOR, UNFORTUNATELY, IT WOULD NOT STAY SHUT FORCING ME TO DRIVE WITH IT OPENED. I WAS WAS NOT INJURED BUT THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN. I AM SINGLE AND DO NOT HAVE CHILDREN THEREFORE HARDLY ANYONE IS IN THE BACKSEAT OF MY VEHICLE.
WHILE DRIVING, SPEAKERS START TO CRACKLE LOUDLY. ITS ACTUALLY STARTLING. THEN THE RADIO DOESN'T WORK UNTIL THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN.
