THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE POWER STEERING 14S05 JULY 2014. WHICH I BROUGHT MY CAR IN FOR AND THEY REPROGRAMED THE COMPUTER. ONE TIME THE POWER STEERING FAILED BUT RESTARTING CAR MADE IT WORK. LAST WEEK MY POWER STEERING FAILED THIS WAS 2 YEARS AFTER THE REPROGRAMING. I BROUGHT IT TO FORD LIVERMORE, CA AND THEY DIAGNOSED THE TORQUE SENSOR WAS THE PROBLEM WHICH WAS NOT FIXED DURING THE RECALL WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. ANYWAY JUST WANTED TO SAY FORD DID NOT FIX MY POWER STEERING PROBLEM AND IS A SAFETY ISSUE. VEHICLE WAS AT A STOP LIGHT RESTARTED CAR AND POWER STEERING CAME BACK. I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH WINNER FORD OF CHERRY HILL, NJ FOR THIS SERVICE, SINCE IT WAS THE CLOSEST DEALER AT THE TIME I WAS ABLE TO RETURN VEHICLE FOR SERVICE. THE DEALERSHIP PERFORMED THE SOFTWARE UPGRADE CITING THAT NO PROBLEMS WERE FOUND. AS OF NOVEMBER 28TH 2016, MY STEERING SYSTEM HAS BEGUN TO EXHIBIT PROBLEMS FROM THIS RECALL, THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE BOTH IDLE AND DRIVING SHAKES AND VIBRATES WHICH CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO SWERVE AND MAKES PARKING DIFFICULT. I HAD THIS ISSUE. I ALMOST GOT INTO A SERIOUS WRECK DURING ONE OF THESE FREEZING EPISODES WHEN I WAS MAKING A SLOW TURN ONTO A ROAD IN ATLANTA, GA. THE RECALL SAID TO BRING IN THE CAR TO A LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP, AND THEY WOULD EITHER DO A RE-SET ON THE COMPUTER, OR REPLACE THE STEERING COLUMN IF DEEMED NECESSARY. ORIGINALLY, THEY RE-SET THE COMPUTER. IT HAPPENED ONE TIME AFTER THE COMPUTER RESET, BUT I FIGURED IT WAS JUST A FLUKE. ALMOST A YEAR LATER... THE SAME ISSUE STARTED HAPPENING MORE FREQUENTLY, AGAIN, AND WITHIN 2 DAYS, THE ELECTRONIC STEERING WAS COMPLETELY GONE. I LOST ALL POWER STEERING ABILITY. IT WENT OUT COMPLETELY....
