DRIVER DOOR LATCH MALFUNCTION. REMAINS LISTED AS 'AJAR' WHEN CLOSED. INTERIOR LIGHTS MAY REMAIN ON WHICH MAKES VIABILITY AND ISSUE AT NIGHT.
DRIVER DOOR AJAR WARNING WHEN DOOR IS CLOSED. INTERIOR LIGHT STAYS ON. DOORS WON'T LOCK THE ENTIRE TIME I'M DRIVING. STARTED A FEW WEEKS AGO, ONLY HAPPENED OCCASIONALLY. NOW ISSUE IS BECOMING MORE FREQUENT.
IN APRIL 2016, WE STARTED EXPERIENCING AN ISSUE WITH THE DRIVERS DOOR LATCH NOT CONNECTING AND OUR DRIVERS DOOR AJAR LIGHT STAYING ON. WE WOULD MANUALLY HAVE TO REOPEN THE LATCH TO CLOSE THE DOOR BUT THIS STILL DIDN'T ALWAYS MAKE THIS DOOR AJAR LIGHT DO OUT. THERE WERE TIMES WE WOULD HAVE TO CLOSE THE DOOR UP TO 5 TIMES TO GET THE LIGHT TO GO OUT AND FEEL THAT THE DOOR WAS CLOSED. IT WAS WORSE ON A TRIP AT THE END OF APRIL TO FLORIDA IN WHICH WE WERE UNABLE TO GET THIS TO HAPPEN AND COULDN'T GET OUR INTERIOR LIGHTS TO GO OUT SINCE IT WAS TELLING US THE DOOR WAS STILL OPEN. THIS ISSUE WOULD HAPPEN WHILE PARKED OR DRIVING. THE LIGHT WOULD BE OUT WHEN LEAVING THE DRIVEWAY AND THEN COME ON WHILE ON THE ROAD! WE HAD THIS CHECKED THREE TIMES, FIRST TWO...
DRIVER SIDE DOOR AJAR LITE REMAINS ON EVEN IF DOOR CLOSED SECURELY. DOOR AJAR LIGHT AND SIGNAL REMAINS ON WHEN CAR MOVING OR STATIONARY. UNABLE TO LOCK DOORS WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 1 MONTH NOW.
DOO AJAR SIGNAL STAYS ON WHEN DOOR IS CLOSED. PREVENTS DRIVER FROM KNOWING OF A REAL DOOR AJAR SITUATION. INTERIOR LIGHT STAYS ON, CREATING A NIGHT DRIVING HAZARD AND WHEN SITTING IN CAR AT NIGHT. UNABLE TO LOCK DOORS WHILE INSIDE VEHICLE, MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. FAULTY LATCH OR SENSOR. ALL ISSUES STEMMING FOR FAULTY DOOR LATCH OR SENSOR.
DASHBOARD COMPUTER SAYS REAR DOOR IS AJAR WHEN IT'S NOT, WILL NOT THE DOORS LOCK AND DOME LATE STAYS ON
DRIVER DOOR AJAR WARNING REMAINS ON AT ALL TIMES. EVEN WHEN DOOR IS SECURELY SLAMMED SHUT. THIS CAUSES A WARNING TO APPEAR ON THE DASH, THE "DINGING" CONTINUES EVERY TIME THE BRAKE IS RELEASED, THE DOME LIGHT REMAINS ON FOR A FEW MINUTES WHEN BEGINNING DRIVING (DANGEROUS AT NIGHT) AND REMAINS ON AFTER EXITING THE VEHICLE (BECAUSE IT THINKS THE DOOR IS STILL OPEN.) THIS HAS CAUSED MY BATTERY TO DRAIN TWICE. THE DOME LIGHT IS EXTREMELY DISTRACTING WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF. I HAVE "FIXED" THE PROBLEM BY USING "KEYBOARD CLEANER". HOWEVER, THIS ONLY "FIXES" THE PROBLEM FOR A DAY OR TWO. I HAVE HAD THIS ON-GOING PROBLEM FOR 2.5 YEARS. THE PROBLEM STARTED RIGHT WHEN THE CAR HIT 30,000 MILES.
WE WERE HIT FROM BEHIND BY AN 18 WHEELER IN THE HWY AND SLAMMED INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF US SEVERAL TIMES AND NOT 1 AIRBAG WENT OFF.
FAULTY/FAILING DOOR LATCH SENSOR TRIGGERS "DOOR AJAR" INSTRUMENT PANEL AND SOUND WARNINGS WHILE ENGINE IS ON, CAUSING DOORS TO UNLOCK, INTERIOR LIGHTS TO COME ON, AND CONTINUED SOUND WARNINGS WHENEVER VEHICLE ACCELERATES. WHEN VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND ENGINE IS OFF, SENSOR FAULT CAUSES INTERIOR LIGHTS TO REMAIN ON FOR 10-MINUTE CYCLE THAT CANNOT BE MANUALLY OVERRIDDEN (PER FORD). ISSUE WAS ADDRESSED WHILE VEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY, BUT FORD WILL NOT ADDRESS IT NOW UNDER WARRANTY OR "GOODWILL" REPAIR PROGRAM.
THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR AJAR WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATES RANDOMLY AND STAYS ILLUMINATED EVEN WHEN THE DOOR IS FULLY CLOSED AND LOCKED BOTH WHILE THE VEHICLE IS PARKED AND IN MOTION. THE WARNING CHIME PERIODICALLY PLAYS AND THE DOME LIGHT STAYS ILLUMINATED. MY VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED AS "CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED" IN DECEMBER 2014 WHICH EVIDENTLY DID NOT INCLUDE REPLACEMENT OF THE KNOWN DISCREPANT DOOR LATCH COMPONENT.
THERE IS AN INSTRUMENT PANEL ALARM THAT SAYS "DRIVER DOOR AJAR" THAT REMAINS DESPITE REPEATED OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE DRIVER'S DOOR. WE PAID ALMOST $600 TO HAVE THE SENSOR REPLACED ABOUT A YEAR AGO, AND NOW IT IS DOING THE SAME THING. THE DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE US AGAIN TO FIX IT. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. NOT ONLY DOES THIS ALARM CAUSE CONSTANT BLINKING AND WARNING TONES WHEN DRIVING, BUT THE INTERIOR LIGHTS STAY ON AT NIGHT FOR ABOUT 1 MINUTE AFTER DRIVING, AND I'VE HAD THE CAR BATTERY DISCHARGE TWICE WHEN EXITING THE VEHICLE AND TRYING TO LOCK UP FOR THE NIGHT. IF YOU SLAM THE DOOR REPEATEDLY, IT SOMETIMES WILL GO OFF, BUT THERE HAVE BEEN MANY TIMES WHEN I'VE OPENED AND SLAMMED THE DRIVERS DOOR OVER 10 TIMES, AND I JUST HAVE TO LIVE WITH THE ALARM, NOISE, AND DISTRACTION. IT HAS BEEN AN ISSUE...
DOOR AJAR WARNING REMAINS ON FOR DRIVER SIDE DOOR WHEN DOOR IS SHUT. ALSO INTERIOR LIGHT REMAINS ON.
WHEN I GET IN MY FORD EDGE AND CLOSE MY DOOR, IT SAYS DRIVER DOOR AJAR, HAVE TO SLAM THE DOOR 4 OR 5 TIMES, AND INTERIOR LIGHT STAY ON AND WONT LOCK EITHER ,FAULTY LATCH. ITS A SAFETY ISSUE, WAS STATIONARY, THEN WHEN I WAS DRIVING IT CAME ON DRIVER DOOR AGAR
DRIVER SIDE DOOR AJAR SENSOR FAILING. SHOWS DOOR IS AJAR WHEN IT IS NOT. LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF WHICH DRAINS THE BATTERY AND IT AFFECTS THE LOCKING SYSTEM WHEN IN DRIVE WHICH IS A SAFETY ISSUE. VEHICLE IS A FEW YEARS OLD WITH LESS THAN 45K MILES. DO A SEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND IT IS EASY TO SEE IT IS A WIDESPREAD ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE RECALLED AND FIXED BY FORD. IN MY OPINION THIS IS A BYPRODUCT OF FORD OUTSOURCING TO MEXICO WITHOUT PROPER QUALITY CONTROL. VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT FORD HASN'T HANDLED THIS VERY COMMON ISSUE THAT SEEMS TO OCCUR AROUND 40K MILES ACCORDING TO OTHER OWNER REPORTS. BECAUSE IT IS EXPENSIVE FOR THE CONSUMER TO FIX AT THE DEALERSHIP IT WOULD APPEAR THAT FORD WOULD RATHER PROFIT OFF OF THEIR FAULTY PRODUCT THAN TAKE THE HIT TO MAKE IT RIGHT. BAD BUSINESS - WILL BE THINKING...

2012 FORD EDGE SE. I NOTICE THAT SOMETIMES IT WOULD SHOW DOOR AJARED WARNING LIGHT. I WOULD HAVE OPEN AND CLOSE MY DOOR SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE THE LIGHT GO OFF. THEN IT PROGRESS TO THE POINT NOW IT'S PERMERNANT. NOW DOORS WON'T LOCK WHILE DRIVING, INTERIOR LIGHTS MOMENTARILY STAY ON AND THE ALARM BEEPS TWICE ( WARNING THAT THE DOOR AJAR IS KEEPING IT FROM SETTING PROPERLY.
POWER STEERING WINES AND IS NOT RESPONSIVE IN TEMPERATURES BELOW 35 DEGREES. ALSO THE DRIVERS DOOR LATCH DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY WARNING LIGHT SAYS DOOR AJAR AND DOME LIGHT STAYS ON.
THE DRIVER DOOR SENSOR STATES THE DOOR IS AJAR, ALTHOUGH IT IS CLOSED, REGISTERS OPEN. THE LATCH IS DEFECTIVE.THE DOOR AJAR WARNING SOUNDS ON THE DASH BOARD, DOME LIGHTS STAY ON AND DOORS DO NOT LOCK. DOOR HAS TO BE OPENED AND SLAMMED CLOSED MANY TIMES FOR THE WARNING TO GO OFF, BUT ONLY TEMPORARILY. HARD TO LOCK CAR, DOME LIGHT STAYS ON. HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING, IN PARK, BASICALLY ANYTIME THE CAR IS ON. HAD THE ISSUE FIXED AT A DEALERSHIP - HAD TO PAY $494.00!! I SEE THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH MANY FORD EDGE OWNERS - FORD NEEDS TO GET THIS FIXED AND RECALL - UNSAFE!!!
THE DOOR SENSOR SAYS THE DRIVER'S DOOR IS OPEN WHEN IT IS NOT AND STAYS ON. THIS DOES NOT ALLOW THE DOOR LOCKS TO CLOSE AND IS UNSAFE. THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ALSO GO ON AND STAY ON FOR A PERIOD OF TIME.
DRIVER'S DOOR SENSOR IS FAULTY. THE VEHICLE'S INSTRUMENT PANEL WILL INDICATE THAT THE DOOR IS AJAR WHEN IT IS FIRMLY CLOSED. THIS ALERT OFTEN APPEARS WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. WHEN I EXIT THE VEHICLE AND THE PROBLEM OCCURS, THIS WILL PREVENT THE INTERIOR LIGHTS FROM GOING OUT AND IT WILL PREVENT THE SECURITY SYSTEM FROM ARMING. THIS PROBLEM IS DISTRACTING WHILE DRIVING DUE TO THE ALERTS AND THE INTERIOR LIGHTING, ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. THE ISSUE HAS ALSO RESULTED IN THEFT FROM MY VEHICLE. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS OFF, THE DOME LIGHTS DO NOT GO OFF AS THE SENSOR INDICATES THE DOOR IS OPEN. WHILE PARKED OUTSIDE MY HOUSE, MY VEHICLE WAS BROKEN INTO WITHOUT THE ALARM SOUNDING, RESULTING IN THEFT OF PERSONAL ITEMS INCLUDING CHECKS, CASH, AND ELECTRONICS. THE VEHICLE'S BATTERY HAS ALSO DRAINED OVERNIGHT TO THE POINT OF NEEDING A JUMP START.
2012 FORD EDGE BEGAN HAVING A "DOOR AJAR" ERROR. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, YOU ARE UNABLE TO LOCK THE DOORS WITH THE KEYPAD. NOT BEING ABLE TO LOCK THE VEHICLE IS A MAJOR ISSUE. THIS PROBLEM IS CAUSED BY THE FAILURE OF A MICRO SWITCH ASSEMBLED IN THE LATCH MECHANISM. WHEN THIS SWITCH FAILS, THE SIGNAL TO TELL THE CAR THE DOOR IS CLOSED IS NOT SENT.
TYPICAL "DOOR IS AJAR" ERROR MESSAGE. UPON CLOSING THE DOOR, THE ERROR MESSAGE "DOOR IS AJAR" POPS UP AND THE DOME LIGHTS STAY ON WITH THE CHIMES RINGING. I ALSO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE ERROR MESSAGE "SHIFT TO PARK". I BELIEVE THESE COULD BE RELATED. FORD DEALER REPLACED THE SWITCH ASSEMBLY BUT THIS DIDN'T SOLVE MY PROBLEM. THIS NEEDS RECALLED AS THOUSANDS ARE EXPERIENCING THIS SAFTEY ISSUE WITH THIS VEHICLE!

THE DRIVERS DOOR AJAR LIGHT GOES ON AFTER THE DOOR IS CORRECTLY CLOSED. THIS PROBLEM HAS GOTTEN WORSE OVER THE COURSE OF A COUPLE OF WEEKS. THE LIGHT NOW STAYS ON CONTINUOUSLY AND WHEN THE CAR SLOWS TO A STOP A YELLOW PANEL LIGHT TELLS THE DRIVER TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND MUST BE CORRECTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

DRIVERS DOOR AJAR REPEATEDLY COMES ON, DOME LIGHT ILLUMINATES, MESSAGE TO PUT IN PARK SHOWS. CALLED FORD MOTOR CO. WHO REPORTS NO RECALL!! THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS IT PROHIBITS DOOR LOCKING, TURNS ON INTERIOR LIGHT DURING NIGHT DRIVING. FORD ADVISED THAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW IF THIS WOULD BE COVERED BY MY EXTENDED WARRANTY. HOW CAN THAT BE? ALL THEY COULD DO WAS GIVE ME A CASE NUMBER IF IT EVER TURNS INTO A RECALL. EVEN IF OUT OF WARRANTY, THIS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED A LATENT MANUFACTURE SAFETY DEFECT! LEAVES ME WONDERING HOW MANY OWNERS NEED TO REPORT MUCH LESS BE INJURED BEFORE FORD TAKES CARE OF IT. I WOULD ADVISE ALL WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS TO REPORT TO FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
RECEIVING "DRIVER DOOR AJAR" WARNING WHILE DRIVING, EVEN THOUGH THE DOOR IS SECURE. AT ONE POINT I WOULD LOCK THE DOORS AND AS I DROVE THE WARNING WOULD SOUND AND THE LOCKS WOULD POP OPEN. THE DOOR LATCH WAS REPLACED ONCE BEFORE IN 2012 BY THE DEALER WHILE STILL UNDER WARRANTY. NOW THE DEALER WANTS TO CHARGE ME SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS TO REPLACE IT AGAIN.
HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUES WITH BOTH THE DRIVER DOOR AND REAR PASSENGER (DRIVERS SIDE) LATCH OR SENSOR IMPROPERLY WORKING. BOTH DOOR LATCHES AND OR SENSORS MALFUNCTIONS MAKE THE DOOR AJAR LIGHT IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STAY LIT, AND MAKES THE OVERHEAD LIGHTS STAY ON. THE INTERIOR LIGHT STAYING ON MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE AT NIGHT AND ALSO DRAINS THE BATTERY.
THE DOOR AJAR DOES NOT SHUT OFF.NO MATTER HOW I CLOSE THE DOOR.AT ALL STOP SIGNS RED LIGHTS IT CONTINUES TO TELL ME TO SHIFT TO PARK BECAUSE OF "DOOR AJAR".THE INTERIOR DOME LIGHT WILL NOT SHUT OFF BECAUSE OF THE "DOOR AJAR".I CANT SEE OUT MY REAR VIEW MIRROR BECAUSE OF THE INTERIOR DOME LIGHT.IM AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR I NEVER KNOW IF IM GOING TO FALL OUT WHILE DRIVING DUE TO "DOOR AJAR".I BROUGHT IT IN TO FORD FOR REPAIR LATER FOUND OUT THEY JUST "CLEANED THE WIRING".9 MONTHS LATER PROBLEM IS BACK AND EVEN WORSE. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS.

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT DUE TO THE FAILURE THE DOOR WAS UNABLE TO BE LOCKED FROM THE INSIDE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000.
[XXX] WITHOUT INJURY OR CHANGE BY US TO THE CAR, THE "DOOR AJAR" WARNING BEGAN SHOWING UP IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE DOOR IS SECURELY CLOSED. THE WARNING IS ON THE PANEL, THE WARNING BEEP IS SOUNDING, AND THE INTERIOR LIGHT REMAINS ON UNTIL YOU DRIVE FORWARD ABOUT 30 FEET. THIS MAKES BACKING OUT OF PARKING SPACES, DRIVEWAYS, ETC DIFFICULT BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY TO SEE WHERE YOU ARE GOING BECAUSE OF THE BRIGHT LIGHT. LUBRICATING THE DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY DOES NOTHING TO HELP. DOOR AJAR COMES ON WHEN I START THE VEHICLE. THIS CAUSES THE DOME LIGHT TO COME ON AND I CAN ONLY GET THE SENSOR TO GO OFF WHEN I DRIVE FORWARD AND OPEN AND CLOSE THE DOOR WHILE DRIVING. AT NIGHT, THE DOME LIGHT PREVENTS ME FROM SEEING BEHIND ME WHEN REVERSING, BUT I'M UNABLE TO USE MY "TRICK" OF GOING FORWARD AND OPENING AND CLOSING THE DOOR TO GET THE SENSOR TO GO OFF UNTIL I AM FULLY BACKED UP. THE SENSOR ALSO TELLS MY VEHICLE THAT THE DOOR IS OPEN EVEN WHEN I EXIT THE VEHICLE CAUSING THE DOME LIGHT TO STAY ON ALL NIGHT AND I'M WORRIED ABOUT IT DRAINING THE BATTERY.
DRIVERS DOOR AJAR WARNING WILL NOT GO OFF. THIS IS MAKING THE INTERIOR LIGHTS TO REMAIN ON, THE DOOR WON'T LOCK WILL IN THE CAR. NEED HELP IN GETTING THIS TO BE HANDLED BY FORD MOTOR COMPANY.

AT OTHER TIMES, THE DOOR AJAR LAMP LIGHTS AS SOON AS THE KEY IS IN THE IGNITION AND BEFORE THE CAR IS TURNED ON AND THEY REMAIN ON EVEN AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS ARE MADE TO CLOSE THE DOOR SUCCESSFULLY. I REPLACED THE DOOR LATCH AT MY OWN EXPENSE, BUT THE PROBLEM RESUMED 18 MONTHS LATER. *TR
THE DOOR AJAR SENSOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR FAILS TO FUNCTION PROPERLY MAKING THE VEHICLE REACT AS THOUGH THE DOOR IS OPEN EVEN THOUGH IT IS ACTUALLY CLOSED. THIS PREVENTS THE DOORS FROM LOCKING AND PREVENTS THE DOME LIGHT FROM TURNING OFF. THE DOOR AJAR ALARM AND LIGHT WILL NOT STOP ALERTING THE DRIVER TO THE PROBLEM. BECAUSE THE DOORS WILL NOT LOCK, THERE IS A DANGER TO DRIVER AND PASSENGERS WHILE MOVING. WHEN DOME LIGHT FAILS TO TURN OFF, THE CAR BATTERY CAN RUN DOWN PREVENTING THE CAR FROM STARTING. *TR

THE 'VEHICLE DOOR AJAR' WARNING ON DASH WILL NOT EXTINGUISH. THIS EFFECTS THE INTERIOR DOOR LIGHTS, THE WARNING CHIMES, AND THE DOOR LOCKS. THIS PROBLEM IS RELATED TO THE DRIVERS DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY WHICH HAS FAILED! *TR
THE FRONT DRIVER DOOR LATCH IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. IT FAILS TO CLOSE. *TR
MY DRIVE SIDE DOOR DOES NOT SENSE IT IS CLOSED AND THE LIGHT STAYS ON AND THE DOME LIGHTS STAY ON LONGER. PERIODICALLY BECAUSE THE SWITCH IS SAYING THE DOOR IS OPEN, THE DOME LIGHT, HEADLIGHTS AND REAR LIGHTS WILL GO ON WHEN NOBODY IS IN THE CAR. *TR
THE DOOR AJAR WARNING INDICATES THE DOOR IS OPEN WHEN THE DOOR IS ACTUALLY CLOSED TIGHT. IF YOU SLAM THE DOOR HARD, THE WARNING CLEARS SOMETIMES BUT MAY COME BACK ON WITHOUT THE DOOR BEING OPENED. THIS IS A POOR ALARM SYSTEM DESIGN. FORD SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DESIGN AND ISSUE A RECALL. THE ORIGINAL LATCH WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AT ABOUT 30K MILES. *TR
VEHICLE STATES "DOOR AJAR WITH ALL DOORS PROPERLY CLOSED. COMPLAINT IS ONGOING. HERE IS THE ISSUE. THE INTERIOR LIGHTS ARE ON AND REMAIN ON UNTIL VEHICLE IS GOING OVER 5MPH IN A FORWARD GEAR. YOU TOTALLY LOSE VISIBILITY TO BACK UP. YOU CANNOT SEE ANYTHING TO BACK UP. IT IS DIFFICULT TO SEEING GOING FORWARD TO ATTAIN 5+ MPH TO TURN OFF THE INTERIOR LIGHTS. THE PROBLEM IS MINIMALLY ANNOYING DURING DAYTIME HOURS AND IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AT NIGHT. YOU ARE FORCED TO BACK UP TOTALLY BLIND. IT IS DANGEROUS YOU COULD BACK OVER A PEDESTRIAN, A FIXED OBJECT, OR ANOTHER CAR. FORD TOOK A RELIABLE AND SIMPLE PROCESS AND CREATED A DIFFICULT (AND EXPENSIVE) UNRELIABLE PROCESS AND IT IS FAILING ON SEVERAL CARS. *TR
THE DRIVER DOOR LATCH SIGNALS THAT THE DRIVER DOOR IS AJAR WHEN IT IS NOT. THIS PREVENTS THE DOOR FROM LOCKING AND ALSO AFFECTS THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAY AND INTERIOR LIGHTING AS WELL AS THE ALARM SYSTEM. *TR
WHEN CLOSING DRIVERS DOOR ON THE DASHBORD SHOWS DRIVERS DOOR AJAR, WHEN DRIVERS DOOR IS CLOSED TO AMEND THIS PROBLEM YOU HAVE TO SLAM THE DOOR USING FORCE. *TR
DRIVERS SIDE "DOOR AJAR WARNING" COMES ON VERY OFTEN AND WON'T GO OFF. DOESN'T ALWAYS COME ON IMMEDIATELY, BUT WHILE ON, WON'T ALLOW DOORS TO LOCK WHILE DRIVING. VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. WHEN IT COMES ON, NOT ALWAYS IN A POSITION TO STOP IMMEDIATELY AND PUT IN PARK TO RESET . MUST STOP AND REPEAT CLOSING UNTIL IT TAKES. AGAIN VERY DANGEROUS. LASTLY, WHEN EXITING THE AUTO IF THE SENSOR FAILS THEN THE LIGHTS STAY ON AN EXTENDED PERIOD, RUNNING THE BATTERY DOWN. NOT ALLOWING THE DOORS TO LOCK AND ALARM TO SET. *TR
FRONT DRIVERS SIDE DOOR, THE DOOR IS CLOSED AND THE SENSOR SAYS IT'S AJAR. I HAVE TO SLAM THE DOOR TO HAVE IT READ THAT IT'S SHUT. THE INTERIOR LIGHTS WILL STAY ON EVEN THOUGH THE DOOR IS SHUT. *TR
