PURCHASED HONDA 2018 CRV TOURING IN OCTOBER OF 2018. IN DECEMBER RECEIVED LETTER FROM HONDA REGARDING A FIX FOR THE OIL DILUTION ISSUE. OIL CHANGE 12/27/18 AND AGAIN 5/30/19 AT 3544 MILES AS OIL ABOVE FULL ON DIPSTICK. OIL CHANGE AGAIN 8/21/19 AT 7,386 MILES FOR SAME ISSUE. NOW AT 10,971 NEEDING OIL CHANGE AGAIN BECAUSE OF EXCESS OIL/FUEL MIXTURE. ALSO, STILL GETTING GAS SMELL IN THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. ON GOING PROBLEM WITH THIS ENGINE. ## VIN PASSED ## ##
DRIVING IN TOWN GOING TO STORE SMELLED SOMETHING LIKE DEAD ANIMAL OR SOME HAIR BURNING HORRIBLE SMELL ALMOST GOT SICK AND OR PASSED OUT. NEXT COUPLE OF TIMES I DROVE IT THE SMELL GOT BETTER BUT I TOLD MY SON. I COULDN'T DRIVE IT ANYMORE CAUSE I WAS GETTING SICK. THEN THE SMELL WENT AWAY AND OIL LIGHT CAME ON SAYING I HAD 15% OIL LIFE LEFT. ME AND MY SON SMELLED OIL STICK AND IT SMELLED LIKE GASOLINE. TIRES WERE WORN ON THE INSIDE ON ALL FOUR AT 11,940. MILES. I HAD TO PAY MY OWN MONEY TO BALANCE THEM AGAIN
HI EVERY TIME LATELY AT THE LIGHTS OR WHEN I LEFT MY CAR ON MY DRIVEWAY OR AT PARKING LOT A VERY STRONG GASOLINE ODOR COMES MOST LIKELY FROM THE FRONT/ENGINE. PLEASE ADVISE.
STALLING WHILE I WAS TRAVELING IN TRAFFIC. OIL DIP STICK SMELLS LIKE GASOLINE IS "OVERFULL" ON OIL MARK. *LN VEHICLE HESITATED AND STALLED BECAUSE OK HAD BEEN DRAINED TO A LOWER LEVEL ONCE AND REPLACED 2 TIMES. CONSUMER STATED FUEL INJECTORS WERE REPLACED. *JB
HAD ISSUES WITH ELECTRICAL SUCH AS WARNING LIGHTS IN THE PAST, 38,000 MILES HAD FUEL INJECTORS REPLACED. MENTION WHEN I GOT THE CAR THAT IT DID NOT HEAT PROPERLY, THEY SAID IT WAS NORMAL. DOES NOT HEAT WHEN IDLING . SO I STARTED CHECKING IT OUT AND EVERYBODY ELSE IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. IDLING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE ENGINE MISFIRED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT PROPERLY ACCELERATE. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED FUEL LEAKING INTO THE ENGINE OIL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER AND THE CPU ASSEMBLY WAS REPROGRAMMED, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CASE 09652318. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,500.
I BOUGHT CAR USED FROM GM DEALERSHIP 3/16/19, WASN'T AWARE OF PROBLEM UNTIL FIRST SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE.GAS MIXING IN WITH OIL CAUSING OIL LEVEL TO RISE SIGNIFICANTLY OVER SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, ABOUT A QUART HIGH WITH AROUND 2,000 MILES DRIVEN,MOSTLY HIGHWAY. HONDA SERVICE HAD ME BRING IN VEHICLE AFTER OIL CHANGE TO CHECK LEVEL, THEN AGAIN AFTER 1,000 MILES TO RECHECK. BROUGHT IN IN AFTER ABOUT 1700 MILES AND OIL WAS UP ABOUT A QUART ACCORDING TO SERVICE MANAGER. HONDA DEALER PERFORMED SOFTWARE "FIX" TO ALLEVIATE PROBLEM, BUT AFTER 1,500 MILES, OIL LEVEL UP SIGNIFICANTLY AGAIN. DEALER CONTENDS HONDA DOESN'T HAVE PROTOCOLS IN PLACE TO TAKE CARE OF ISSUE YET. CAR IN HONDA DEALERSHIP TODAY AGAIN FOR ASSESSMENT, THIRD OIL CHANGE IN 2 MONTHS. DIFFICULT TO EVALUATE CARS PERFORMANCE SINCE I BOUGHT USED AND NEVER HAD NORMAL BASELINE TO COMPARE TO.
THE ENGINE OIL KEEPS INCREASING IN VOLUME CAUSING ME TO DRAIN ABOUT 1/2 QT ABOUT EVERY 1000-1500 MILES. IF YOU DO NOT KEEP A CHECK ON THIS IT WILL DEGRADE OR CAUSE ENGINE FAILURE. I LIVE IN GEORGIA WHICH HAS A MILD CLIMATE.
MY 2018 HONDA CR V HAS THE 1.5 LITRE TURBO ENGINE. I HAVE REVIEWED SEVERAL HUNDRED COMPLAINTS THAT HAVE BEEN FILED REGARDING THE MIXING OF THE FUEL/GAS WITH THE ENGINE OIL. THE ISSUE SEEMS TO BE MORE PREVALENT IN THE NORTH, HOWEVER, I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE HERE IN OKLAHOMA. UPON ENGINE START THERE IS A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE COMING FROM THE REAR PASSENGER SEATING. I HAVE ALSO NOTED INCREASE OIL LEVELS IN THE ENGINE CRANKCASE. ALSO THE SMELL OF GASOLINE COMING FROM THE OIL DIPSTICK. I AM WRITING TO INQUIRE IF HONDA MOTOR COMPANY INTENDS TO DO SOMETHING TO REMEDY THIS ISSUE. THE SMELL STARTS AT THE MOMENT THE ENGINE IS STARTED.. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS DARK OIL IN THE CRANK CASE. THE MECHANIC CHANGED THE OIL, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HONDA OF EL CERRITO (866)-414-9404, LOCATED AT 11755 SAN PABLO AVE, EL CERRITO, CA 94530)WHERE THE TECHNICIAN CHANGED THE OIL AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO FAILURE WITH THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER WHO PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND KEPT THE VEHICLE FOR MORE TESTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 4,000.
I BOUGHT A HONDA CR-V 2018 LAST YEAR IN MAY. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAVE 8000 MILES ON IT. NOW I RECENTLY NOTICE THAT WHEN I AM STARTING THE CAR WHEN PRESSING ON THE BRAKE AND PRESSING THE START BUTTON. IT WILL TRY TO START BUT FAILS. IT SEEMS YOU NEED TO DO THIS NUMEROUS TIMES TO START THE VEHICLE. THIS HAVE BEEN HAPPENING TO ME IN THE LAST 3 DAYS. OIL DILUTION BAD GAS SMELL FROM OIL CAN CAUSE A FIRE CAR ONLY HAS 3750 MILES
GAS LEAKS INTO THE ENGINE WHILE I'M DRIVING, WHICH WILL INEVITABLY ENGINE FAILURE AND THE CAR WILL STALL WHILE DRIVING, THIS POSES A RISK FOR MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION.. THE HONDA DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IS AWARE OF THIS AND RECOMMENDED AN OIL CHANGE. 48 HOURS LATER MY OIL IS COMPLETELY DILUTED WITH GASOLINE AGAIN. THERE IS A STRONG GAS ODOR IN THE CABIN OF MY CAR WHICH IS A HEALTH HAZARD TO MYSELF AND MY 2 SMALL CHILDREN, ONE WITH ASTHMA. I'VE CONTACTED HONDA OF AMERICA SEVERAL TIMES REGARDING THIS ISSUE WITH NO SOLUTION.
GASOLINE IS LEAKING INTO THE ENGINE OIL. A WARRANTY REPAIR WAS DONE JAN 2019 TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT IN SEPT 2019 THE ENGINE OIL WAS NOTED TO BE ABOVE FULL AND SMELL OF GASOLINE. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT IN FOR FURTHER REPAIR BUT NO FURTHER REPAIR IS AVAILABLE AND BECAUSE HONDA CLAIMS THIS TO BE "A NORMAL CHARACTERISTIC" OF THE CAR, NO OIL CHANGE WAS DONE EITHER. HOWEVER, THE HONDA 2018 CR-V MANUAL CLEARLY POINTS OUT THAT OVER FILLING THE OIL MAY LEAD TO LEAKS OR ENGINE DAMAGE. COPIES OF THE REPAIR RECEIPT AND HONDA OIL OVERFILL WARNING ARE ATTACHED.
2018 HONDA CRV EX: MILEAGE 20,165. UPON ACCELERATING WHILE PULLING THE CAR ON MAIN ROADWAY, THE CAR DROPPED FROM 50MPH TO 25MPH AND THEN WOULDN'T REACH PAST 35MPH, THE ENGINE LIGHT APPEARED AND STARTED TO BLINK. AFRAID THIS CAR WILL CATCH ON FIRE! ENGINE OIL IS GETTING DILUTED WITH FUEL DUE TO THE TURBO ENGINES ON THE 2017 -2018 HONDA CRVS. MY 2018 HONDA CR-V 1.5T ENGINE IS "MAKING OIL". I CHANGE MY OWN OIL AND MONITOR THE LEVEL WEEKLY. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THE OIL DILUTION ISSUE THAT I READ ABOUT IN CONSUME REPORTS WOULD NOT AFFECT ME BECAUSE I AM IN A WARM CLIMATE (FLORIDA) BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE. THE OIL LEVEL ON MY DIP STICK ROSE ABOUT 3/8 OF AN INCH IN 5000 MILES. I CHANGED THE OIL AND WE TOOK A TRIP TO TENNESSEE IN THE WINTER AND THE OIL LEVEL ROSE SO MUCH IN THE COLD WEATHER I WAS CONCERNED THAT IT WOULD CAUSE TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON THE SEALS SO I DRAINED SOME OIL OUT. I WOULD THINK THAT GAS IN THE OIL WOULD SEVERELY EFFECT ENGINE LIFE. THE DEALER DENIES THAT I HAVE A PROBLEM SAYING THE THIS IS A COLD WEATHER ISSUE.
THIS VEHICLE AFTER HAVING 4500 MILES, BEGAN TO SMELL TERRIBLY OF GASOLINE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE SPUTTERED , DID NOT WANT TO RUN, AND STALLED A FEW TIMES BEFORE I WOUND UP AT THE DEALERSHIP. I ALSO NOTICED THAT WHEN THE LITTLE WRENCH CAME ON, FOR A NOTIFICATION OF THE FIRST OIL CHANGE, THAT THE VEHICLE MADE A LOUD GROWLING NOISE. THE VEHICLE IS SITTING IN THE DEALERSHIP RIGHT NOW WAITING A HOPEFUL REPAIR. HERE I AM WITH NO VEHICLE, AND A $400 PER MONTH PAYMENT. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE IN TODAY'S WORLD. THIS PROBLEM SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED, BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS ALLOWED TO BE PUT UP FOR SALE . A VEHICLE IS DEEMED NOT SAFE, WHEN IT'S STALLS ON YOU IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC.

IN THE WINTER, I NOTICED A REDUCTION IN POWER FROM THE VEHICLE. THE ENGINE BEGAN TO RUN ROUGH AND STALLED A FEW TIMES IN PARKING LOTS. THERE WAS THE SMELL OF GAS AND SULFATES COMING THROUGH THE VENTS. THE OIL LEVEL WAS VERY HIGH. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY CHANGED THE OIL. FOUR MONTHS LATER WITH NORMAL USE OF THE VEHICLE, THE SMELL OF GAS IS AGAIN COMING THROUGH THE VENTS, THE ENGINE SEEMS TO BE RUNNING ROUGH AGAIN, AND THE OIL LEVEL IS HIGH. I FEAR THE VEHICLE WILL STALL IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION, AND THE FUMES IN THE CABIN MAKE ME FEEL SICK.
CR-V WITH NOW 6000 MILES ON IT GETS OIL IN GAS. OIL CHANGED AT DEALER TWICE. DEALER SAYS HONDA KNOWS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, BUT MY CAR VIN NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL. HAVE CONTACTED AMERICAN HONDA BUT WAS UNABLE TO GET FIX AUTHORIZED. THIS CAR IS DEFECTIVE AND UNDER WARRANTY. GETTING FIX SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM! GAS IN OIL MAY ALSO BE A FIRE HAZARD.

WHILE PURCHASING THIS HONDA , THE DEALERSHIP NEVER MENTIONED THIS SITUATION. I FEEL THAT I PURCHASED THIS HONDA CR-V , 1.5 TURBO UNDER FRAUDULENT TERMS. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT WHEN GASOLINE IS MIXED WITH OIL, THE OIL PROTECTION IS REDUCED PROPORTIONATELY. ENGINE OIL DILUTION. SMELLS GAS. OIL LEVEL HIGHER THAN MAX. SOME LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. ALL HAPPENED BEFORE 5K MILES. LESS THAN 700 MILES ANOTHER OIL CHANGE FOR THE SAME REASON. DEALER SAID NOTHING WRONG. AFTER DRIVING 100 MILES STILL SAME PROBLEMS.
WHILE CHANGING THE OIL MYSELF AT 14,00 MILES I NOTICED THE OIL LEVEL WAS MORE THAN A HALF INCH ABOVE THE FULL LINE AND SMELLED OF STRONGLY OF GASOLINE I CHECKED ONLINE TO SEE IF OTHER CRV OWENERS WERE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. THIS APPEARS TO BE A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM WITH HONAS 1.5 TURBO ENGINE. ENGINE STALLED AFTER MORE THAN 2 HOURS HIGHWAY DRIVE; AFTER 20 MINUTES BREAK THE ENGINES RAN AGAIN; THIS PROBLEM HAPPENED TWICE OVER LAST 2 WEEKS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA CR-V. SEVERAL WEEKS AFTER AN OIL CHANGE WAS PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT CHECKED THE ENGINE OIL DIPSTICK AND NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE OIL WAS EXTREMELY DIRTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LUTHER BROOKDALE HONDA (LOCATED AT 6800 BROOKLYN BLVD, BROOKLYN CENTER, MN 55429, (612) 424-7830) WHERE FUEL WAS FOUND ON THE OIL DIPSTICK. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS A NORMAL OCCURRENCE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED ABOUT THE FUEL AND OIL DILUTION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 09533542. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,495. *BF *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET, THE ENGINE OF OUR 2018 HONDA CR-V (1.5 L TURBO) SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND SMOKE BEGAN POURING OUT OF THE EXHAUST, THIS HAPPENED DURING RUSH HOUR ON A BUSY PORTLAND, OREGON, STREET ON A DARK AND RAINY OCTOBER EVENING. THANKFULLY, THE DRIVER OF THE CR-V MANAGED TO GET OFF THE STREET AND ROLL INTO A GAS STATION WITHOUT GETTING REAR-ENDED. THE CR-V WAS TOWED TO A HONDA DEALER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT, WHERE THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM WAS IDENTIFIED AS "OIL LEVEL ABOVE SPEC." RISING OIL LEVEL IS A COMMON PROBLEM IN 2017-18 HONDA CR-VS, CAUSED BY DILUTION OF CRANKCASE OIL WITH UNBURNED GASOLINE DUE TO AN ENGINE DESIGN FLAW WELL KNOWN TO HONDA. DRIVING A VEHICLE WITH AN ENGINE THAT COULD FAIL AT ANY TIME/PLACE IS DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE, AND THE AFFECTED HONDA VEHICLES SHOULD IMMEDIATELY BE RECALLED IN THE U.S. THEY ALREADY...
OIL BEING DILUTED WITH GAS. HONDA ISSUED A "SERVICE BULLETIN" ABOUT THIS. THERE IS A YOUTUBE VIDEO ABOUT IT: HTTPS://WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/WATCH?V=FVDKNRGZGT8 WE TOOK IT IN AND THE "FIX" WAS A SOFTWARE UPDATE, BUT THE OIL CONTINUES TO GET DILUTED WITH GAS. WE WILL BE TAKING IT IN FOR THE 3RD TIME FOR THIS PROBLEM. IN WISCONSIN, IF THEY FAIL TO FIX THE PROBLEM IN 4 TRIES, IT BECOMES A LEMON. I DON'T WANT IT TO COME TO THAT BECAUSE I AM SURE THAT WILL BE A BIG HASSLE, BUT THE LONG TERM PROBLEMS CAUSED BY GAS IN THE OIL MAY BE WORSE. NOT WHAT I EXPECT FROM HONDA!
GASOLINE DILUTES ENGINE OIL UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL WAS APPROXIMATELY 1/4 INCH ABOVE THE MAXIMUM OIL FILL LINE ON THE DIPSTICK AFTER 5000 MILES. INFORMED DEALER AND AMERICAN HONDA. I WAS TOLD THERE IS NO FIX AVAILABLE FOR MY VEHICLE.
WHILE CHANGING THE OIL AND FILTER AT 20, 496 MILES, I NOTICED THE FOLLOWING: 1) OIL LEVEL HAD RISEN ON THE DIPSTICK SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER THAN WHEN ORIGINALLY FILLED 2) OIL APPEARED HIGHLY DILUTED AND WATERY 3) THERE WAS A STRONG GASOLINE SMELL COMING FROM THE USED OIL THIS SITUATION HAS BEEN WIDELY DOCUMENTED. KRENZEN HONDA NISSAN LINCOLN (2500 MALL DR, DULUTH, MN 55811, (218) 727-2905) CHANGED THE OIL, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED MOSTLY IN COLD WEATHER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE FILED A COMPLAINT FOR THE LEMON LAW WITH HIS STATE'S ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE, BUT HAD NOT HEARD BACK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS COMPREHENDING OIL CHANGES. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT WANT TO TALK TO THE CONTACT ONCE HE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO HENDRICK HONDA WOODBRIDGE (14201 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY, WOODBRIDGE, VA 22191, (703) 496-4751). THE DEALER CHANGED THE OIL, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.
GASOLINE IN THE ENGINE OIL.
GAS IS LEAKING INTO OIL. DISOLUTION OF OIL IMPACTS LUBRICATION OF ENGINE. THE VEHICLE IS PARKED AND ENGINE COLD. MORE FLUID IS IN THE CRANK CASE THAN WAS ADDED AT THE LAST OIL CHANGE. THE OIL SMELSS OF GAS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT FUEL ENTERED THE CRANK CASE AND MIXED WITH THE OIL. THE OIL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AS THE INTERMITTENT FAILURE PROGRESSED. IN ADDITION, THE VENT CONTROLS WERE SLOW TO FUNCTION WHEN THE HEAT AND AIR CONDITIONER WERE ACTIVATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTOMASTER HONDA (3328 SHELBURNE RD, SHELBURNE, VT 05482, (802) 985-8411) MORE THAN THREE TIMES, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
COULD SMELL GAS IN THE ENGINE OIL AND HAVE SMELLED GAS FUMES IN THE CABIN OF CAR. I TOOK CAR TO DEALER AFTER GETTING A LETTER ABOUT A RECALL CONCERNING THE AIR CONDITIONER. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THIS RECALL WAS FOR THE GAS IN OIL PROBLEM. I STILL HAVE THE SMELL OF GAS IN THE OIL.
THE OIL LEVEL REMAINS ELEVATED EVEN AFTER THE REPAIR/RECALL TO ADDRESS EARTH DREAM ENGINE PROBLEMS
WE PURCHASED A NEW 2018 HONDA CR-V EX IN DECEMBER 2018 FROM A NEAR-BY HONDA DEALER. WE LIVE IN BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD, AND DO MOST OF OUR DRIVING LOCALLY. WITHIN A MATTER OF WEEKS AFTER DRIVING, WE STARTED NOTICING A STRONG GAS SMELL IN THE CABIN AND OUTSIDE THE CAR. THE ISSUE HAS PERSISTED, AND STARTED TO GET WORSE. WE RESEARCHED OUR ISSUE, AND NOTED MANY CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS REGARDING OIL DILUTION PROBLEMS ON 2018 CR- V 1.5L TURBO-CHARGED ENGINES. IN EARLY APRIL 2019, WE HAD OUR FIRST SERVICE VISIT TO CHECK OUR CABIN GAS SMELL PROBLEM WITH THE DEALER. MILEAGE 1,500 MILES. ON THE SERVICE REPORT, DEALER NOTED "CONFIRMED OIL AND GAS MIXTURE COMPLAINT. OIL LEVEL WAS MUCH HIGHER THAN NORMAL ON DIPSTICK. HONDA IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE BUT DOES NOT HAVE A FIX AT THIS TIME. PLEASE CHECK OIL LEVEL OFTEN". WE HAD THE DEALER PERFORM AN OIL...
GASOLINE IS MIXING WITH OIL. OVERFILLING THE DIPSTICK LINE. THE OIL HAS THE SMELL OF GASOLINE. RECALL PERFORMED AT DEALERSHIP IN DEC 2018 DID NOT TAKE CARE OF PROBLEM. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP APRIL 19 2019 FOUND TO BE A QUART OVERFILLED MIXED WITH GADOLINE
I NOTICED MY OIL WAS OVERFILLED EARLY IN APRIL 2019. HONDA HAS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH 2017 & 2018 CRVS WITH THE 1.5 TWIN TURBO ENGINES WITH GASOLINE GETTING INTO THE OIL, I CALLED HONDA CORP & THEY HAD VALLEY HONDA LOOK AT THE CAR. THEY REMOVED 1/2 QT OIL FROM THE CAR. YOU CAN SMELL THE GASOLINE IN THE OIL THEY SAID THE CAR IS SAFE & DRIVE IT. I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE CAR % WARRANTY ON THE ENGINE... THE CHINESE GOVT HAD HONDA RECALL ALL THESE CRVS BUT I CANT FIND OUT WHAT THE RECALL INVOLVED.. CAN U HELP ME... THANK YOU
