TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL FUEL ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTOPARK HONDA (LOCATED AT 3630 OLD RALEIGH RD, CARY, NC 27511, (919) 467-4747) FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS AN ENGINE OIL DILUTION WITH FUEL DUE TO A SOFTWARE SETTING. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AND THERE WOULD BE A SOFTWARE UPDATE TO REPAIR THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THE REMEDY WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,500.
2018 HONDA CRV. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO A SOFTWARE ISSUE. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE SOFTWARE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TRANSMISSION AND THE ACCELERATION FUNCTION WOULD MISFIRE. THE SIGNAL FROM THE TRANSMISSION TO THE ACCELERATION WAS DELAYED OR NON-EXISTENT. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE ABS INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AFTER THE FAILURE. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING AGAIN. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED AFTER A FEW MOMENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DARLING'S HONDA NISSAN VOLVO (114 SYLVAN RD, BANGOR, ME 04401, (207) 941-1460) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,485.
