TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT FUEL WAS DETECTED INSIDE THE VEHICLE AND IN THE ENGINE OIL WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT CALLED LOVE HONDA AT (352) 628-4600 (LOCATED AT 2219 S SUNCOAST BLVD, HOMOSASSA, FL 34448) AND WAS INFORMED TO BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,968.
ENGINE OIL SMELLS LIKE GASOLINE
GAS WAS FOUND IN THE OIL. OIL STICK WAS ABOVE THE NORMAL RANGE. POOR GAS MILEAGE.
4000 MILES AFTER OIL CHANGE, CHECKED OIL DIPSTICK, OIL LEVEL TOO HIGH...OIL SMELLS LIKE GASOLINE. CRV NOT RUNNING SMOOTHLY, HESITATES UPON ACCELERATION.
AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE NEW, I NOTICED AT AROUND 4K MILES THE OIL SMELLED HEAVILY OF FUEL AND WAS OVERFULL. THE ENGINE OIL AND FILTER WERE CHANGED. 5K MILES LATER THE OIL AGAIN REEKED OF FUEL AS WAS OVERFULL. OIL AND FILTER CHANGED AGAIN. AT AROUND 15K MILES THE OIL AGAIN IS OVERFULL AND APPARENTLY DILUTED WITH OIL. I DID RESEARCH AND IT APPEARS THIS MAY BE A WIDESPREAD ISSUE. I'M CONCERNED IF I ACTUALLY FOLLOWED THE MAINTENANCE MINDER SYSTEM AND WENT 10K MILES PER OIL CHANGE THE ENGINE WILL LOCK UP FROM LACK OF LUBRICATION.

ENGINE OIL SMELL LIKE A GAS,GAS RUN INTO/MIX WITH ENGINE OIL,ENGINE OIL LEVEL RISING EACH WEEK. DEFINITELY EFFECT THE VEHICLE USE LIFE. IN THE WINTER SEASON,CAR HEATER HAS TO WAIT A LONG TIME TO GET HEAT FROM AIR CONDITIONER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE VEHICLE UNDERWENT AN OIL CHANGE, IT HESITATED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CLASSIC HONDA OF MIDLAND (3705 W WALL ST, MIDLAND, TX 79703, (432) 681-1400) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENTIRE TURBO SYSTEM WAS BLOWN. THE DEALER RECEIVED AUTHORIZATION FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO PERFORM TESTS TO SEE WHO WAS LIABLE FOR THE DAMAGE. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO PERFORMED THE OIL CHANGE STATED THAT THE ENGINE MALFUNCTIONED. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC RAN TESTS ON THE OIL FILTER AND CONCLUDED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS AT FAULT FOR THE TURBO SYSTEM FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CURRENTLY CONTESTING THE CLAIM. GAS SMELL IN CABIN. ENGINE OIL LEVEL HAS RISEN AND SMELLS LIKE GAS. SMELL HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES.
GAS SMELL ON OIL DIP STICK, OIL LEVEL READING HIGHER THAN ORANGE MARKINGS, OIL BLACK AND WATERY
GASOLINE CONTAMINATION TO OIL. OIL LEVELS ARE HIGH AND SMELL OF GASOLINE. AMERICAN HONDA REPRESENTATIVE ADVISES THERE IS NO FIX. RECOMMENDS OIL CHANGES AS NEEDED, BUT WILL NOT REIMBURSE COST. ACCORDING TO CONSUMER REPORTS, HONDA CRV (2017 & 2018) OWNERS ARE REPORTING STALLS. THIS HAS POTENTIAL TO BE A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. NO RECALL ANNOUNCED. PLEASE GET WITH HONDA AND INVESTIGATE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HIGH OIL LEVELS ON THE DIPSTICK CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO OCCASIONALLY STALL AND CREATED A FUEL ODOR IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO (MCGRATH CITY HONDA, 6720 W GRAND AVE, CHICAGO, IL 60707) WHERE THEY CHANGED THE OIL. TWO WEEKS LATER, THE OIL LEVEL WAS HIGH AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,500.
ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2018 AFTER GETTING OFF A FREEWAY AND SLOWING DOWN, I PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR TO INCREASE THE SPEED, BUT IT DID NOT PICK UP; I TRIED MANY TIMES BUT MY CAR BARELY MOVED (LIKE 10 OR 15MILES). I PANICKED BUT I JUST TRIED TO PARK MY CAR IN THE PARKING OF A NEAREST GROCERY STORE. I COULD BARELY MOVE THE CAR AND PARKED THE CAR THERE. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED AAA. A GUY FROM AAA CHECKED MY CAR AND TURNED ON THE ENGINE; WE SMELLED VERY STRONG GASOLINE-LIKE EXHAUST. HE SUGGESTED MY CAR SHOULD BE TAKEN FOR INSPECTION. MY CAR WAS TOWED TO A HONDA DEALER BY AAA. ON 10/5, THE RESULT WAS "OIL WAS OVER-FILLED 3-4 QRTS OVER. DRAINED ALL THE OIL AND REFILLED TO SPEC." (AFTER 4,500 MILAGE, MY CAR'S OIL CHANGE HAD BEEN DONE BY ANOTHER HONDA DEALER ONE MONTH BEFORE.) AS MY CAR WAS...
STALLED MOMENTARILY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. OIL STICK INDICATES 25 % EXCESSIVE FLUID.
GASOLINE MIXING INTO ENGINE OIL - 1.5 LITER ENGINE. FIRST NOTICED AT 3000 MILES, NOW AGAIN AT 7700 MILES.
I HAVE NOTICED A GASOLINE SMELL IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT OF MY 2017 HONDA CR-V EX FROM TIME TO TIME, SO I DID SOME ONLINE RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THE PROBLEM IS WIDESPREAD. IT SEEMS SIMILAR VEHICLES SUFFER FROM THE SAME PROBLEM WHERE GAS IS LEAKING INTO THE OIL. I CHECKED MY OIL LEVEL, AND SURE ENOUGH THE LEVEL IS VERY HIGH AND THE OIL SMELLS LIKE GAS.
ON SEVERAL SEPARATE OCCASIONS THE CAR HAS LOST POWER AND STALLED WHILE I WAS DRIVING.
EXPERIENCING RISING OIL LEVELS DUE TO HIGH LEVELS OF GASOLINE BEING ENTRAINED IN THE OIL. THIS IS CAUSING THE OIL TO BECOME INCREASINGLY THIN AND POTENTIALLY CAUSE AN ENGINE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND ON A FLAT SURFACE DURING EACH OF THE OIL CHECKS.
FUEL IS MIXING WITH THE MOTOR OIL AND DILUTING IT. OIL LEVEL RISES ABOVE THE FULL MARK ON THE OIL DIPSTICK AND HAS AN ODOR OF FUEL. I HAD A PROFESSIONAL OIL ANALYSIS PERFORMED THAT CONFIRMED THAT THE OIL IS BEING DILUTED AND VISCOSITY LOST. A COPY IS ATTACHED. THE FLASH POINT ALSO IS REDUCED. THIS PROBLEM COULD AFFECT ENGINE PERFORMANCE AND BECOME A SAFETY ISSUE. THE PROBLEM IS ONGOING. THE DATE GIVEN IS THE DATE OF THE ATTACHED REPORT.
HONDA HAS OVER 19,000 MILES AND READ ABOUT GAS IN OIL. AS A FORMER MECH. I CHECKED DIPSTICK AND YEP, CAN SMELL GASOLINE IN OIL. CHECKED ANOTHER SUV I HAVE TO BE SURE NOT CRAZY AND GAS IS PRESENT.
HONDA CR-V 2017 BOUGHT DECEMBER 23, 2017 FROM ZIMBRICK AUTO MADISON, WISCONSIN JULY 15, 2018 THE CAR WAS PARKED IN OUR DRIVEWAY AND WOULD NOT START. WE HAVE A TOWING COMPANY HAULED IN FOR REPAIR. NOW, ON OCCASION THE CAR CABIN SMELLS GASSY. THE OIL FILLER CAP WHEN REMOVED ALSO HAS A VERY STRONG GASSY SMELL.
THERE IS GASOLINE DILUTING THE ENGINE OIL
DRIVING HIGHWAY 15 EAST TOWARD LAS VEGAS, NV. LIGHT ON INSTRUMENT CLUSTER "SHUTTER GRILLE PROBLEM - POWER REDUCED". VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION AS THE ENGINE POWER WAS REDUCED TO 50 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, I WAS UNABLE TO PASS AN 18 WHEELER TRUCK DUE TO REDUCED ENGINE POWER. STOPPED AT NEARBY HONDA DEALER, SERVICE DEPT. WAS CLOSED, NEW CAR MANAGER SAID "I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS CODE MEANS" AFTER SITTING FOR 15 MINUTES CODE RESET ITSELF ONLY TO COME BACK ON AFTER ANOTHER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING. TEMPERATURE WAS 103 DEGREES OUTSIDE.WENT TO HONDA DEALERSHIP IN LAS VEGAS TO BE TOLD AGAIN "HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS CODE BEFORE". NO RESOLUTION - VERY DANGEROUS CONDTION TO LOOSE 50% OF ENGINE POWER ON THE FREEWAY.
I HAVE A STRONG SMELL OF GAS COMING FROM THE ENGINE. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES BUT 2 TIMES IN THE LAST WEEK. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN IT IS EARLY AFTER I START THE CAR AND WITHIN THE FIRST 2 OR 3 MILES OF DRIVING. IT IS CONCERNING BECAUSE THE SMELL OF GAS IS OVERWHELMING.

I HAVE ONLY ABOUT 9700 MILES ON MY CRV BUT GASOLINE OR SOME FORM OF CONTAMINATION APPEARS TO BE FINDING THEIR WAY INTO THE OIL RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE OIL. THE OIL DIPSTICK READS BEYOND THE UPPER FILL LEVEL MARK. THIS APPEARS TO BE A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM WITHOUT A SOLUTION - POSSIBLY LEADING TO ABRUPT FAILURE ON THE ROAD.
2017 HONDA CR-V ENGINE OIL LEVEL RISING, WITHIN 2000 MILES OF DRIVING, PAST TOP OF ORANGE PLASTIC DIPSTICK WHICH WOULD INDICATE AN OIL LEVEL MORE THAN 1/2 QUART HIGH AFTER BEING FILLED CORRECTLY BY DEALER TO THE 3.7 QUART HIGH LEVEL MARK. THIS OIL DILUTION (MOST LIKELY WITH GASOLINE AS THE OIL IS NOT TURNING WHITE AS WHEN WATER ENTERS THE OIL) REDUCES THE VISCOSITY OF THE 0-20W OIL WHICH COULD LEAD TO ENGINE BEARING SURFACES SEIZING AT SOME INOPPORTUNE TIME. ORANGE PLASTIC DIPSTICK IS DIFFICULT TO READ AND OIL LEVEL SHOULD BE ONLY READ AFTER THE ENGINE IS STOPPED FOR THREE MINUTES PER THE MANUAL...GUESS WE NEED A STOPWATCH. COLD ENGINE OIL LEVELS ARE EVEN HIGHER. OWNERS MANUAL P559 SPECIFICALLY STATES THAT THE OIL SHOULD NOT BE OVERFILLED. OVERFILLING CAN CAUSE AERATION OF THE OIL, CAUSING OIL PUMPING PROBLEMS, OR REDUCING LUBRICATION OF BEARING SURFACES. HAVE TO CALL HONDA...
GASOLINE IS LEAKING IN TO THE OIL. OIL IS WAY ABOVE FULL MARK ON DIP STICK AND THE ODOR OF GASOLINE IS PRESENT. FIRST NOTICED WHAT APPEARED TO BE INCREASES IN OIL ON THE DIP STICK ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO.
OIL DILUTION. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN INSPECTED BY MY DEALER AND HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT GAS IS DILUTING THE OIL. THIS IS HAPPENING ABOUT EVERY 500 MILES IN WARM 70+ DEGREE WEATHER, BUT HAPPENS SOONER IN COLDER WEATHER. BECAUSE IT'S A PAIN TO CONSTANTLY REPLACE THE OIL AND FILTER, I HAVE ONLY BEEN DOING IT EVERY 500 MILES. I DO CHECK THE DIPSTICK EVERY SO OFTEN TO MONITOR THE FLUID LEVEL IN THE ENGINE.

THERE IS A STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE ON THE DIPSTICK WHEN CHECKING OIL LEVELS. OIL LEVELS ARE UP TO 1 INCH ABOVE THE HIGHEST MEASURABLE LEVEL ON THE DIP STICK. I HAD THE OIL ANALYZED AND IT SHOWED >5% OIL DILUTION. CITY GAS MILEAGE IS 21-22 MPG -- WAY BELOW ADVERTISED MPG. SEE ATTACHMENTS.
AFTER STARTING UP THE CRV IN THE GARAGE, I EXITED IT AND CLIMBED A SHORT ~100' RAMP ABOUT THE HEIGHT OF 1 STORY AT 10 MPH OR LESS. DURING AT LEAST TWO TIMES IN THE PAST 7 MONTHS, THE ENGINE SPUTTERED WHILE CLIMBING THIS RAMP AND NEARED A STALL POINT. THIS OCCURRED WHILE IN MONTANA. AFTER APPLYING PRESSURE TO ACCELERATOR, SPUTTERING STOPPED. ADDITIONALLY, THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS TIMES AT STARTUP WHEN THE CENTRAL DISPLAY SCREEN FREEZES, REMAINS BLACK, DENYING NAVIGATION ASSISTANCE AMONG OTHER OPTIONS. IT APPEARS THE ONLY WAY TO CORRECT THIS IS TO RESTART THE VEHICLE.
I HAVE HAD THE HONDA SINCE NOV 2017 & HAVE HAD 2 SHUTTER RELEASE PROBLEMS-LOSS OF POWER‼️‼️ IT REDUCED 15 MILES AN HOUR GOING UP A HILL & KEPT REDUCING POWER.. I COULD HAVE BEEN ON A TWO WAY ROAD & GOTTEN INTO HEAD ON‼️‼️ TOOK IT TO DCH HONDA TEMECULA, CA & THEY SAID THERE IS NO FIX & WANTED ME TO GO ON MY MERRY WAY‼️‼️ CALLED THEIR CORP. OFFICE, OPENED A CASE IT BUT THE CASE PERSON WOULD NOT TALK TO ME OR CALL ME BACK‼️‼️ I HAVE AN ARBITRATION CASE NOW SET UP WITH NCDS & HONDA.. HONDA IS NOT UNDER THE CA LENON LAW BUT WITH NCDS (NATIONAL CENTER FOR DISPUTE SETTLEMENT). THE HONDA PERSON ASSIGNED TO ARBITRATION CASE CALLED ME & TOLD ME I DON'T HAVE A CASE AS I ONLY TOOK IT IN 1 TIME. BUT, I CALLED DCH-HONDA TEMECULA, CA TO SET...

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA CR-V. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT NOTICED A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL INSIDE THE VEHICLE WHEN THE ENGINE WAS STARTED. ALSO, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WITHOUT WARNING. DURING ANOTHER OCCURRENCE, ALL OF THE WARNING INDICATORS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE ENTERED INTO LIMP MODE. FURTHERMORE, THE ABS ENGAGED WITHOUT WARNING ON TWO OCCASIONS. ROSSI HONDA (1517 S DELSEA DRIVE, VINELAND, NEW JERSEY 08360, (856) 692-1700) DIAGNOSED THAT THE OIL WAS DILUTED WITH FUEL AND UPDATED THE VEHICLE'S SENSING SOFTWARE SYSTEM; HOWEVER, THE FAILURES RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,000.
OIL VOLUME INCREASES OVER TIME. OK SMELLS LIKE GASOLINE AND TURNS BLACK. HEATER BARELY WORKS IN THE WINTER. HONDA HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM AND SUGGESTED MORE FREQUENT OIL CHANGES DUE TO FUEL DILUTION. HOWEVER THEY REFUSE TO PAY FOR THE OIL CHANGES. I HAVE DOCUMENTATION OF THE ISSUE FROM MY HONDA DEALER.
MY CAR DEVELOPED THE GAS-IN-OIL PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN REPORTED ON. TOOK TO DEALER, WHO OPENED A TICKET WITH HONDA. PROBLEM CONTINUES, NO FIX OFFERED YET. THIRD PARTY USED OIL ANALYSIS CONFIRMS THE PROBLEM.

A FEW WEEKS AGO, MY WIFE AND I WERE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND NOTICED A GASOLINE SMELL IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT, WHICH LASTED A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND WENT AWAY. ON ANOTHER OCCASION WE NOTICED THE SMELL AGAIN. I CHECKED THE FUEL FILL TUBE BUT FOUND NO PROBLEM THERE. I ALSO CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD AND DETECTED A FUEL SMELL BUT SAW NO EVIDENCE OF A LEAK. WHILE UNDER THE HOOD I CHECKED THE OIL AND SMELLED A STRONG FUEL SMELL IN THE OIL. THE FLUID LEVEL ON THE DIPSTICK WAS 7/8' ABOVE FULL LEVEL. I CHECKED AND DOUBLE CHECKED THE LEVELS AND SMELL AND THERE WAS DEFINITELY GASOLINE IN THE OIL. I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP (JOHNSON CITY HONDA IN JOHNSON CITY, TN) AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE 1.5L ENGINE WHEN IT WAS DRIVEN AT LOW SPEEDS AND SHOULD BE 'DRIVEN AT HIGHER...
FUEL IN OIL. STRONG SMELL OF GASOLINE, WATERY OIL, INCREASING LEVELS OF OIL AFTER OIL CHANGE.
OIL IS GETTING DILUTED WITH GAS AND YOU CAN SMELL GAS FUMES IN THE CABIN MAKING THE CR-V UNSAFE.
ENGINE OIL OVERFILL CONDITION EXISTS AS EARLY AS 700 MILES AFTER OIL CHANGE AT THE DEALERSHIP. ENGINE OIL IS ABOVE THE 'FULL' MARK ON THE DIPSTICK AND THE ENGINE OIL HAS THE DISTINCT SMELL OF GASOLINE PRESENT. THIS PROBLEM IS REPORTED ON NUMEROUS HONDA CR-V OWNERS FORUMS AND IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE 1.5 TURBO ENGINE. IT IS OUR FEAR THAT IF THIS OVERFILL CONDITION IS DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF GASOLINE MIXING WITH THE CRANKCASE ENGINE OIL THAT THE RESULTS COULD BE CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE, EXPLOSION, SUDDEN LOSS OF ENGINE POWER, SUDDEN LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL, ETC.

GASOLINE GETTING INTO THE OIL. DIPSTICK READ IN BETWEEN "THE LINES" ON LEVEL GROUND. DROVE 1500 MILES (APPROX.) DURING A VACATION. CHECKED OIL AT OUR DESTINATION, ON LEVEL GROUND, AND THE OIL LEVEL WAS 1/4" TO 3/8" ABOVE THE FULL LINE ON THE DIPSTICK AND SMELLED OF GASOLINE. I CALLED HONDA AND RECEIVED A CASE NUMBER 08740888. TOOK CAR TO DEALER AND WAS TOLD HONDA IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM BUT DOESN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT. ALSO THERE IS A RECALL IN CHINA FOR THIS VERY PROBLEM. THE DEALER DID CHANGE THE OIL.
DRIVING ON FREEWAY. BUTTON TO SHIFT TRANMISSION/GEARS DISINTEGRATED. KNEW IMMEDIATELY THAT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SHIFT CAR INTO PARK, ETC. FELT EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SINCE I WAS GOING 50+ MPH WHEN THIS HAPPENED. BASED ON LEVEL OF COMPLAINTS - SEE LINK - BELIEVE THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY RECALL. HONDA'S 1.5L TURBO ENGINE OIL LEVEL INCREASES IN THE ENGINE OIL OVER TIME AS UNBURNT EXCESS FUEL COLLECTS ON THE ENGINE CYLINDER WALLS. THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL GROWS QUICKER DEPENDING ON DRIVING CONDITIONS - SOMETIMES COLDER WEATHER, SOMETIMES FREEWAY SPEEDS, THERE SEEMS TO BE MANY VARIABLES. TO COMBAT THE ISSUE I AM FORCED TO CHANGE THE ENGINE OIL MORE OFTEN FOR FEAR OF ENGINE MISFIRES, ENGINE DAMAGE, AND PREMATURE ENGINE WEAR. WHEN I CHANGE THE OIL, I FILL THE OIL TO THE MID ENGINE OIL DIPSTICK MARK BUT WITHIN 1500 MILES OR SO THE OIL IS AT MAX DIPSTICK LEVEL AGAIN WITH STRONG FUEL SMELLS. TO DATE HONDA USA HAS NO PLAN FOR CORRECTION LET ALONE EVEN ACKNOWLEDGING THE ISSUE.
AUTO SHOWED TOO MUCH OIL ON DIPSTICK READING AND OIL HAD STRONG SMELL OF GAS. DEALER ONLY DRAINED EXCESS OIL AND SAID LIGHTS WILL COME ON IF REAL ISSUE. I SUSPECTED FUEL IN OIL SO HAD OIL TESTED AT NEXT OIL CHANGE. TEST SHOWED OIL IN CRITICAL STATE WITH OVER 5% FUEL IN OIL. DEALER REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE ISSUE. WORRIES INCLUDE ENGINE FIRE, PREMATURE ENGINE WEAR AND DAMAGE. HONDA NEEDS TO ADMIT PROBLEM AND PRODUCE FIX. OIL ANALYSIS ATTACHED.
GASOLINE DILLUTION OF ENGINE OIL
I PARKED MY CAR AND TURNED IT OFF TO GO INTO A STORE. WHEN I CAME OUT I FOUND THAT MY CAR HAD ROLLED BACKWARDS INTO ANOTHER CAR. FORTUNATELY THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO EITHER CAR, AS I ASSUME IT OCCURRED AT A VERY LOW SPEED. WHEN I RENETERED THE VEHICLE IT WAS STILL IN THE DRIVE GEAR, WHICH WAS MY ERROR. HOWEVER, I DON'T KNOW HOW THE CAR WAS ABLE TO BE TURNED OFF COMPLETELY AND LOCKED WHILE NOT EVEN IN PARK OR EVEN NEUTRAL. MOREOVER THE CAR WAS IN THE DRIVE GEAR, WHICH I WOULD PRESUME WOULD MEAN IT WOULD GO FORWARD, BUT IT WAS STILL ABLE TO ROLL BACKWARDS. THIS IS INCREDIBLY CONCERNING. I CALLED HONDA AND WAS INFORMED THERE ARE NO RECALLS AND THE BEST THEY COULD DO WAS TO INFORM THEIR ENGINEERING TEAM FOR FUTURE MODELS. I HAVE HAD OTHER CARS AND WAS NOT ABLE...
