Vehicle cycled through all of the warnings on the dashboard and lost power when trying to accelerate and engine light came on. Stalled on the side of the highway and had to be towed. Mechanic said the code for the issue was the catalytic converter and O2 sensor.

This car has some fuel injector problems. I've replaced them and it's still running very crappy. I've read a lot and seen a lot of people getting their fuel injectors fixed with this year of vehicle and now it smells like it's flooding out and Honda should be covering this. This has been an ongoing issue. I've tried to fix it. It's not working. This is car is a lemon.

When driving on the interstate, the car speed went from 75 mph to 10-20 mph over 20 miles. The engine light came on, and the car would not go any faster than 10-20 mph. it was extremely nerve racking trying to get off the interstate and attempt to limp in to Topeka KS. It was very cold that day as well.

1.Please see my letter to Honda. 2.I drove for months with all of my warning lights on, not being able to tell what was actually wrong with my car/note being able to afford to fix my car that isn't even paid off. See letter to Honda. 3.Yes. It has been confirmed by my local Honda dealer as well as an independent service center. 4.I have filed a complaint with Honda. 5.Yes. All of my warning lights in the car would flash/stay on making it very difficult to figure out what the issue actually was. Letter: I am writing to follow up on my recent communication with Honda’s Goodwill Department regarding the fuel injector failure on my 2017 Honda CR-V. This situation has caused significant financial burden & frustration with a brand I have always trusted. Over a year ago, the fuel injectors began intermittently triggering the vehicle’s computer system, despite...

With 82,300 miles on the Odometer, my 2017 Honda CRV Touring AWD started misfiring and displayed a check engine light for a P0301 Cylinder 1 misfire detected. All 4 injectors had failed displaying Cylinder 1-4 as Fail(Rich) under the dealership diagnostic. This left me with a $2,000 repair bill at the Honda dealership. “DIAGNOSE CUSTOMER CONCERN: checked car. confirmed complaint. dtc p0301 cylinder 1 misfire stored. performed AF terst and found all 4 cylinders running rich. Recommend replacing injectors The analysis of the various functions of the components of a vehicle to determine if they are operating properly or have recorded faults which need to be corrected.” Honda refuses to reimburse me or even a partial reimbursement for something that should be recalled on this vehicles as being way too common on a daily basis.

Recently, all of the warning lights on the car went off all at once and wouldn’t turn off even if I turn the car off/on. There was no issue leading up to this but after taking it into Honda and getting a second opinion, it is due to faulty fuel injectors and the repair total will be $1,800. The repairs are necessary because of safety issues associated with the fuel injectors. Other Honda vehicles with the same injectors have an extended warranty (150,000 miles) but Honda CRV’s do not. I read 100+ reviews other users having the same issue. I’d like Honda to step in and at least give an extended warranty.

I am reporting a recurring safety issue with my 2017 Honda CR-V. The vehicle has experienced repeated incidents where multiple warning lights suddenly illuminate at the same time. In some instances, the lights disappear temporarily and then return. I replaced the battery, but the warning lights returned within two weeks. About one year ago, the Honda dealer recommended replacing all four fuel injectors, which I did at significant cost. Despite this repair, the problem reoccurred. Most recently, all warning lights came on again and the vehicle lost power and became undrivable. This presents a serious safety concern, especially if it occurs while driving. I have learned that many other 2017 Honda CR-V owners report similar fuel injector and warning-light issues. I believe this may indicate a widespread defect and request that NHTSA investigate this matter for potential recall or corrective action. Thank you for pay close attention to this matter!

On December 31, on my way to work driving 58mph on the highway, the car slows down in traffic on the highway and the dashboard lights up. I avoided a wreck, narrowly. I put on my flashers and coast to the nearest gas station. I turned the car off and waited 10 minutes or so and proceed to drive home with the flashers on, the car seemed to be ok and I was 10 minutes from my house then the car slows down again to 7 mph so I drove like that with the flashers holding up traffic praying I'd make it home. It stalled crossing the train tracks but I made it home. I called a mechanic that hooked it up to a device to read the codes and He informed me about the fuel injector and that it was common for the make and model of my HONDA...

I have had all warning lights go on disabled some options, gave me incorrect speed, (i ended up w a speeding ticket over that) made my vehicle go in limp mode ,didn't want to accelerate on highway, could have caused an accident I have a young child and was scared to even drive it. It turned out to be my fuel injectors which was very pricey and I had honda do the repair. I have seen a whole lot of people with this issue with the engine I have which is the 1.5 turbo. I think it should be addressed by honda and they should really be fixing the issue at no cost especially since they know the original injectors were faulty and they changed the part number. Hope it gets addressed on behalf of hundreds of thousands of these vehicles and not so happy honda customers.

All fuel injectors need to be replaced. I know 2 other people with CRV's that have had the same exact issue and had to have them replaced. It is also all over forums on the internet. Service people at Honda also told me it is a known issue with the fuel injectors in the Honda 4 cylinders until 2023. I have a quote for almost $1700. I currently own 2 Honda CRV's and one is a 2022 so I am expecting that one to eventually need the fuel injectors also. I am bringing the car in for service on 12/15 to have this done. I feel like this should be investigated to bring a recall. When people that work at repair facilities say the only way to bring this to light is to report it to this agency and try to get a recall since Honda isn't going to issue...

2017 Honda CRV only serviced at Honda dealers and ALL recommended maintenance performed including cleaning the fuel injectors at 50K! Engine was running rough and took it to dealer. Tech found vehicle running very rich, with some slight misfires. Pulled plugs, no cooling system leak, every cylinder running rich, fuel injectors are sticking (cleaned one year ago), spark plugs are heavily fouled. Had to replace all fuel injectors, and all spark plugs at 56K miles. Called Honda because this is a known 2017-18 software problem causing the fuel to run rich "Honda Service Bulletin 19-032" June 18, 2019 and Honda claimed my vehicle was not included in the extended 6yr unlimited miles warranty because I took it in for service before it through the required codes. So because I take good care of my car and pay more for Honda dealers to do the maintenance so my warrenty won't be...

2017 Honda CR V- Hybrid All warning lights on the dashboard—including the Check Engine Light, Oil Pressure Warning, Battery Warning Light, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) Light, Brake System Warning, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) Light, Fuel Level Warning Light, and Engine Temperature Warning Light—activated intermittently. This issue intermittently occurred each time the vehicle was started, with symptoms lasting from a few days up to several weeks. The warning lights would temporarily resolve, with periods lasting from a few days to several months. The vehicle's battery was replaced twice within one year, which seemed to temporarily alleviate the issue; however, the warning lights recurred afterward. Recently, Honda conducted a thorough diagnosis and identified the root cause, leading to the replacement of the spark plugs and fuel injectors at an approximate cost of $2,000. If unaddressed, this issue could pose safety risks such as rough idling, decreased fuel efficiency, engine misfires, difficulty...

A 2017 CR-V entering limp mode and showing all dashboard alerts. I brought it up to Honda America and open case #15734548 to complained about fuel injector recall. After reading the codes at local Honda dealership Chandler,Arizona and repaired cylinder misfire issues. Two days later again started showing all warning lights. I request local Honda dealer to diagnosis further. After discussion with dealer and started reading countless posts regarding bad fuel injectors on different models. I too see Honda recalls for fuel injectors and my VIN is not in recall list. Its well maintained and only 73k miles on this 2017 CRV. They wouldn’t normal maintenance issue and its a design or manufacturing flaw. I am requesting that Honda cover the full cost of the necessary repairs and more move its several safety recalls due to bad fuel injector design or so. Should be included in recalls.

I am writing to formally express my extreme dissatisfaction with the randomly vanishing dashboard, all sorts of warning lights and its recurring issues. I see a recall for 2017 CRV for Fuel injector. I don't see my VIN for fuel injector recalls and most likely my CRV issue with fuel injector. Fuel injector replacement is a major repair. I. I scheduled an appointment with AutoNation Honda Chandler,AZ,to troubleshoot an issue. I believe these issues may stem from a design or manufacturing flaw. I am requesting that Honda cover the full cost of the necessary repairs.

My 2017 Honda CR-V experienced premature and sudden fuel injector failure that I believe is part of a widespread defect affecting 2017–2019 CR-V models. In April, multiple warning lights came on several times (“10-point” dashboard lights). I went to different mechanics, and one recommended a brake fluid flush, which I completed. The warnings continued. Later, while driving, I heard a sudden, harsh crunching sound from the engine area. I immediately pulled over out of concern for safety. The vehicle still moved but did not feel safe to drive, so I cautiously limped it home and canceled clients. I took the vehicle to South Point Honda in Durham, NC. Their diagnosis confirmed that all four fuel injectors had failed, and they quoted $1,679.99. I then had the repair completed at a Honda/Acura specialty shop for $1,273.12. Fuel injectors are not a regular maintenance item, and many other CR-V owners have reported...

Fuel smell when vehicle is parked overnight. The smell is inside the cabin especially stronger near the rear left passenger door where the filler fuel is located. This has been happening even in summer temperatures, not just cold weather like some people have mentioned in forums or online.

UNEXPECTED SUDDEN ACCELERATION. 2017 Honda CR-V. Twice while highway driving with autopilot on, system failed to slow it when approaching other vehicles and it sped up instead. When I pumped the brakes, it went away. I TOOK IT OFF AUTOPILOT HENCEFORTH. Several days later, coming out of a market parking lot and approaching a stop sign, the accelerator went down and sped me forward with brakes doing barely anything. I shot into a CVS parking lot, managed to stop it and turn the engine off. It's sitting in a garage now and no one knows what to do and I am terrified to drive it. Could have killed me or others around me. IT WAS NOT THE FLOOR MAT NOR ANYTHING I DID.

This complaint is in regards to three engine failures for my vehicle. I purchased the vehicle in October of 2017. In October 2020 this vehicle suffered a malfunction of the fuel injector systems. Warning lights were enabled prior to losing full power of the vehicle at this time and it was brought in for repair. In June 2025, my vehicle began losing power while actively driving resulting in the car and myself being put in potentially dangerous conditions on the road. The car would fail to accelerate and move. The car had to be coasted back to an area of safety. There were no warning lights prior to this happening. Warning lights came on hours later after attempting to address the issue. At that time in June 2025, my car was found to have a blown head gasket from an unknown cause per the dealership. I was without a car...

The high-pressure and low-pressure fuel pump malfunctioned and no, it is not available for inspection upon request. The car all of a sudden got stalling while running at 45 mph and got jerking continuously. After the incident, the car was taken to a dealer for a diagnosis and the dealer inspected that the high-pressure and low-pressure fuel pump got malfunctioned. There were NO warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure and they first appeared when the incident occured.

To Whom It May Concern, I am reporting a serious safety concern with my 2017 Honda CR-V related to the fuel/propulsion system. While driving, the vehicle will suddenly stop accelerating. At the same time, multiple warning messages appear on the dash, including alerts that the driver assist system, cruise control, and brake system are not functioning, along with other system warnings. This issue happens without warning and has occurred multiple times. It creates a dangerous situation, especially at highway speeds or in traffic, since the vehicle loses the ability to accelerate and several critical safety systems appear disabled. I am very concerned that this may be a defect in the fuel/propulsion system or an associated electrical/control system that could pose a risk to myself, my passengers, and other drivers. Please advise on the next steps for inspection and resolution.

My cruise control will not work. Lane departure is not working. All my lights are on in my new vehicle I just purchased. BAD FUEL INJECTORS seem to be the problem. Honda should recall these bad fuel injectors before a serious accident occurs.

All lights on dash coming on. Codes p0172 and p0303 pop up on obd scanner. Mafs , spark plugs, ignition coils and air filters all replaced. Car goes into limp mode. 124,800 miles. Dealer says fuel injectors failed and needs replacing, research shows this is a common issue for the. 2017 crv Honda edition. Mpg never dropped , remained. 33.1. When codes cleared, car functions like normal.

Numerous times over the life of the car all dash warning systems and lights activate while you are driving. Sometimes they persist after restarting engine. Numerous visits to dealer to address and finally they stated that fuel injectors need replaced. Searching this issue online seems to indicate this is a common event with 2017-18 CRVs like mine. I contacted Honda and they stated that there is no recall or warranty extension for an issue like this. The car is not safe to drive with all the alarms staying active. This started taking place in 2018 with only 30K miles and would happen rarely. But started to happen monthly in 2024 until I replaced the fuel injectors last September.

All lights shows up on my cars dashboard and at first start it shake with vibration for 2 minutes then it stables even though on the highway when I try to accelerate it doesn’t go smoothly last time I have the same issue and paragon fixed it by changing alternator and reset by computer but still I am facing the same problem. They are always going through the temporary solution by resetting code sometimes changing battery or recommended some other parts although they never take seriously about my head gasket problem and because of that causes misfire. I need the permanent solution. It’s very frustrating for me to face that problem everyday.

All the dashboard warning lights come on. They will turn off at short intervals, but then come back on. I took the car to the dealer in 2024 and they diagnosed it as rear tire sensor problem. Paid over $800 to have this replaced and all the dashboard warning lights came back on the next day. Went back to the dealer and they then diagnosed it as bad fuel injector and quoted repair at over $1,200. We did not have the injector replaced as they could not guarantee fixing the fuel injector would turn the lights off as this seems to be a common reported problem in 2017 Honda CRVs. Over the past year the dashboard warning lights would come on and off at random intervals. Over the past two months, along with all warning lights remaining on, the car has now started to stall within the first 5 minutes...

2017 Honda CR-V with 132118 miles has intermittently been experiencing all dash display alarms activating at the same time for past 25k miles. (ie) hill start assist, brake system problem, power steering system problem, vehicle stability assist problem, etc... This also disabled the lane keep assist and cruise control features on the car. Dealership ran diagnostic and found code P0172 indicating fuel system too rich and confirmed with a failed air/fuel ratio test. This indicated the car needs complete fuel injector replacement.

All dashboard lights go and stay on on random occurrences, sometimes going off on their own but mostly when I reboot the system. This occurs when the car has idled for more than a few minutes. Happening since 2021 and 30k miles. Defect fuel injection part that has since been changed by Honda but with no recall. Replaced battery and issue continued to occur. Recall needed!

On startup all safety warning lights flashed on and disabled all safety driving aids. This persisted and took to Honda dealer. Their diagnostics revealed faulty fuel injectors with code P0304 failed number 4 cylinder. Recommend replacing fuel injector go for $2000.

The vehicle's all safety warning lights are turning on. The vehicle was taken to a Honda dealer for diagnostic testing, who reported that it requires new fuel injectors at a cost of $1,700.00. In researching the issue, it appears that this is an ongoing problem with multiple 2017 and 2018 Honda CRVs.

Fuel injectors have failed on this car 2x before it has hit 120k miles. First was at 50k ish. Honda will not acknowledge this as an issue, even though it is an extremely common issue with all of the 1.5L engines on civics, accords and their other cars in this engine type. My mechanic has checked the service records and the most common issue with these cars, and this is a super common issue, always requiring fuel injectors to repair it. Car idles very very badly when started, and should not be having all of these issues on a well-maintained 8 year old car. It causes a check engine light to appear and an “emissions system issue” warning to appear on the car. It’s only been 3/4 years with the 2nd set of injectors (which were replaced under my optional extended warranty on the car, purchased through Honda). But I...

I started vehicle and all warning lights on dash popped up and began scrolling through/flashing. As a vehicle owner, I was startled as it was unsettling to see all the warnings pop up. It appeared every safety feature/component on the vehicle was compromised. I immediately contacted the local Honda dealership as they suggested diagnostics were needed. Dealership invoice states "Diagnose check engine light - pull codes, diagnose to failure". Dealership invoice further states "Tech Verified Concern. Tech scanned system for codes and found code P0301 stored for misfire cylinder. Tech ran air fuel test and failures came back on Cylinders 1 and 3. Tech diagnosed to failing injectors, recommend replacing". After doing some research, it appears this particular vehicle has a history with similar problems. I have a product update letter from December 2018 which refers to the P0301 code. In addition, I have a Warranty Extension letter dated July...

Failed fuel injectors. This is a common issue in many 2017-18 CRVs with numerous complaints. This is a safety risk as it has caused a forced shutdown of numerous safety features including: all anti-collision systems, lane departure sensing, traction control, etc The problem has been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No

My 2017 CR-V (~$80k miles) will randomly fire every system or warning alert on the dashboard. This includes vital or important alerts like Brakes, Check engine light, Tire pressure, etc. There has been no way to reset it, and it persists through car restarts, system reboots, and driving. The first time this happened was [XXX], and I was able to reset it. However, it has returned a month and a half later ([XXX]) and there has been no remedy or reset that has worked. This issue is extremely dangerous, as it completely mitigates the safety features put in place for this vehicle. With all of the system warnings misfiring and no way to reset or check which are legitimate versus a complication, I am putting myself and others at risk if I drive. I will not know if there is a true issue with a tire, my engine, my brakes......

I replaced fuel injectors in my 2017 honda crv in September 2024 at Northtown Honda in Buffalo, NY. In November 2024 my girlfriend was driving the vehicle in Michigan and the car slowed down to below 20 mph on the highway and flashed all dashboard warning lights, what Honda refers to as "limp mode". This almost caused her get hit by a semi truck. The car was towed to Honda of Grand Blanc and I was told it needs a new turbo. The turbo was replaced and then in December 2024 the car again broke down while I was visiting Toronto, Canada. I had to pay for a tow back to Northtown Honda where I was informed that the vehicle needs a new engine and turbo. I have taken very good care of my vehicle, always done proper maintenance and oil changes. This model is known for some oil dilution...

I have repeatedly had to bring my car into the shop (6 times now, only owned it for 5 months) to have the spark plugs and/or fuel injectors replaced multiple times. The car will suddenly start shuddering when trying to accelerate over 2 RPM. It has also stalled twice (while accelerating it slowed down to a stop in the middle of the road) and the engine light will flash. Mechanics have noted misfires in the engine and that the plugs/injector are getting clogged and dirty very quickly. I don't know much about vehicles, but I know I should not have to be replacing the spark plugs and fuel injectors 2-3 times in 5 months of ownership as I've never had to replace them in previous Honda vehicles that were owned for 5+ years.
