My 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid is dangerous to me and others on the road. When I drove my car, was coming to a stopping point and it didn't want to stop. It does it off and on. I took it to the dealership and was told I needed a abs module. They didn't have any because they was on back order. This was during the pandemic and as of 2026 they are still on back order. I also purchased two abs modules used for my vehicle and took it to the dealership to be programmed and was told it wouldn't program. Please I'm needing assistance with this situation

The contact called another independent mechanic and was given an estimate for repair. The mechanic also referred the contact to Technical Service Bulletin: 15S34. The dealer was notified of the failure, and the contact was informed that the TSB did not apply to the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

Was driving down a busy road with my [XXX] and [XXX] , when all of a sudden my steering wheel got super tight and the car shut down. A message stating "power steering assist fault" popped up on my dashboard. There was ZERO warning before it happened. I just bought this car 3 months ago from a facebook marketplace car dealer. When this incident happened 2 weeks ago, I googled 2011 ford fusion recalls and it says NHTSA recalled in 2015. When I'm not understanding is why a VIN number makes a difference, when I'm having the problem on the type of year/model that was recalled. I have been informed about the customer satisfaction program, which expired years before I purchased the vehicle. Again, why should that fall on me? YES THE PROBLEM WAS CONFIRMED BY A FORD DEALER IN CHINO HILLS YES IT HAS BEEN INSPECTED BY FORD AND RESULTED IN A FAILED EVAP PURGE VALVE TEST AND CALLED FOR REPLACEMENT YES THE PROBLEM CAUSED A P0456 CODES WHICH INDICATED A SMALL LEAK IN THE EVAP SYSTEM.

AT 138825 MILES, THE ENGINE BEGAN TO HAVE A MISFIRE ON CYLINDER #4, WHICH WAS INITIALLY A VACUUM HOSE LEAK. THEN, THE CAR STARTS HAVING AN “EARTHQUAKE” WHENEVER THE CAR IS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. THE CAUSE WOULD THEN BE AN EGR MALFUNCTION. AS TIME WENT BY, THE MISFIRE ON CYLINDER 4 SHOWS UP AGAIN. TOOK MY CAR TO THE SHOP TO HAVE THE ISSUE LOOKED AT, FOUND TO BE A CROSS THREADED SPARK PLUG, AND THEY RECOMMENDED THE CYLINDER HEAD BE REPLACED, THE ENGINE ASSEMBLY REPLACED, THE COOLANT BEING REPLACED, AND THE AC BEING RECHARGED. AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY TODAY THE CAR STILL HESITATES TO START AND THE AC SYSTEM KEEPS MAKING A CLICKING NOISE. THIS WAS NOT HAPPENING BEFORE THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED. I DON'T THINK THAT MY CAR WILL EVER BE THE SAME AND IT IS ALL DUE TO FORD LINCOLN OF FRANKLIN REPLACING THE AIRBAGS.

FROM WHAT RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH FORDS 3.5 LITER CYCLONE ENGINES. THE WATER PUMP FAILES RESULTING IN CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. HAPPENED TWICE IN MAY, SAME SCENARIO, DRIVING ABOUT 45-50 MPH, CAR JUST STOPPED, DROVE ABOUT 1 MI., STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND CAR JUST SHUT OFF. I ASKED THEM ABOUT THE SOFTWARE UPDATE THAT'S LISTED IN NHTSA REMEDY WRITE UP, BUT THEY TOLD ME THERE IS NO SOFTWARE UPDATE IN THEIR SYSTEM. MERELY REPLACING ONE DEFECTIVE PART WITH AN IDENTICAL DEFECTIVE PART IS NOT THE SOLUTION, IT JUST KICKS THE PROBLEM DOWN THE ROAD.
