While driving my car it stopped all of a sudden leaving the car behind to slide out of control so not to hit me. A light came on. when I read the code it said vehicle ignition switch. This also happened a year ago only the car didn’t stop it slowed down to 5 miles an hour. I did repair it a year ago only for it to happen again. This is a very serious thing as I had my grand babies with me and the car behind me had three children.

while driving my kids to school going on a curve about 15 mph, the car shutdown and loss control of power steering and the braking. Findings upon inspection and diagnostics review, it was determined that the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) Module is faulty. This component is critical to vehicle ignition and operation. The failure of the WIN module causes the engine to complete shut down while the vehicle was in motion on the highway. The shutdown resulted in an immediate loss of power steering and power breaking functions, leaving the driver with severely reduced control of the vehicle. Such a malfunction poses a significant safety hazard, as the driver is unable to maintain proper handling or safely maneuver the vehicle during operation. The WIN Module has fail and must be replace immediately. Continued operation without repair could result in repeated engine shutdowns, increasing the risk of a crash or serious...

I have a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country (Sport Van) that has broken down and will not start. At first we thought it was the battery and then the starter. after replacing both parts that could cause for the van to not start. The problem still wasn't fix. We then had an car service center run a diagnostic check to pin point the issue. The diagnostic code shown Number (p0513). This code described the symptoms the van is having, but not while driving. After learning about the diagnostic code we learned that there was a recall. The summary of the recall is as follow: "Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2010 Dodge Journey, Grand Caravan, and Chrysler Town & Country vehicles manufacturer from August 3, 2009. through June 17, 2010. Some vehicles may experience inadvertent ignition key displacement from the run to accessory position while driving causing the engine to...

While driving my van would shut off. It would always crank again. This began happening in 2018. No warning lamps or indicators went off. The van just died. I could not tie it to any particular road conditions. I eventually quit driving the van because I realized it to be unsafe. I could not jeopardize the lives of others or my grandchildren. The local Chrysler dealer could not diagnose a problem so they could fix nothing. The same scenario happened with a local mechanic. I recently took it to different mechanics who explored the ignition switch as an issue.

The headlights went out on me. I confirmed it was not the bulbs. I confirmed it was not the switch. Highbeams work. low beams do not. Further research indicates that this is a very very common problem with the TIPMs totally integrated power module. it is not just a relay or fuse. it is a very expensive part that has a long delay. https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/chrysler-voyager-town-country-21/2010-chrysler-town-country-tipm-16614/

Greetings, June 30, 2023 incident of our van stalling and shutting off while driving. The traction control warning light comes on, van automatically slows down and shuts off. When this happened, unable to steer, no control of brakes or accelerator along with being dangerous. Took vehicle into Midas as they are closest to my work. After testing they determined it was the WIN Module. Since June 30th 2023 to September 10th 2023 this issue happened over a dozen times. Luckily, no one was ever directly behind us and we were able to pull over safely, shut van off, wait one minute and start up again then was fine. The issue always happened while traveling under 30 MPH. I am so grateful we, nor anyone else was injured. Midas informed me back early August 2023 that there was a recall on this exact same module, but recall didn't include our van....

While driving at posted limits, the van will shut off without warning. This has happened 5 times. We have been fortunate that no cars have been following close behind, so we have been able to pull the van off the side of the road, stop and re-start the van. I have had a dealer and another mechanic look at the ignition and attempt to trouble shoot. However, nothing is ever found. This does not happen with any consistency...it is very random.

My A/C Compressor Unit froze up. Tearing my Serpentine Belt. Causing my engine to not run at all. My Driver side window Switch wiring melted. So now my window does not function at all. My vehicle doesn't go over 40mph and no longer shifts properly. Most of my engine wiring has melted. I have replaced the MAP Sensor, but it says there is a problem with the circuit. Also says a problem with the Barometric sensor, which I have yet to find. I had to replace the water pump. My cooling fan has totally stopped working. My key sticks in the ignition. I have replaced the battery and starter. I have also replaced the ignition coil pack, Spark plugs and wires. I thought this may be the reason it was having issues starting, but it still continues. My vehicle will studder or stall out while driving. Causing it to lose...

At random times, the ignition will shut down while driving, causing the power steering and power brakes to lose function. The only way to correct this is to shift gear into neutral and restart the engine. This has occurred while driving in town and on the highway without any warning or warning lights on the dashboard. This could result in a crash and harm to passengers due to not having control over steering and brakes while the vehicle is in motion. This problem has occurred multiple times in the past year or so. The vehicle was taken to a mechanic who ran a diagnostic, but was unable to identify the issue and it would not replicate. I researched the vehicle symptoms, and found a recall from 2015 that related to the same issues (TSB# R03, WIN Modual FOBIK replacement). All additional keys and keychain/FOB were removed from the ignition key...

My 2010 Chrysler Town and Country has been showing signs of an electrical issue since I purchased it. It first started with the windshield wipers and the radio coming on and off by itself. As time went on, the vehicle would lose power as I was driving. When I attempted to accelerate, the engine would rev up but the van would continue to lose speed. It continued this way for a while, until eventually it started shutting down. I have to try to get the van on the side of the road before it shuts off and restart it. Most of the time, it will restart and drive like normal. However, it wouldn't restart and had to be taken to a mechanic. At this point, the doors on the van will open and close automatically; including the tailgate. I have kids and I'm worried that the doors will open while...

Local chyrsler will not replace parts that have been recalled. I was told when to come in to have the parts replaced. they had the parts. I came in, after 3 hours they told me they had to order the parts. The next morning they emailed they had the parts. I could come in the next day at 2:00,I said ok. Then I received an email an hour later that my appointment was at 9:21 that morning,it was now about 11. I don't have a phone, and my emails were blocked when I tried to contact them. They are giving me the royal run around. Can you help me? Should I just forget the whole matter? Dealer is in Gaylord. ; ;

The van's ignition switch intermittently won't fully go into the off position so I can fully turn off the car and lock the doors. Sometimes the key fob pops out when I'm driving. Sometimes I am unable to remove the key from the ignition switch and unable to turn off the engine normally. Upon getting the part number off the ignition switch and searching for a replacement to purchase, I discovered other owners experienced the same problems and a recall was done. I contacted the dealer and was shock to find out my van is not being acknowledged in the recall despite my issues experienced and articles published indicating the year, make and model of my van and a recall specific to my issue. The lock on the driver side rear door, sliding door, keeps making a loud buzzing noise every time it locks and unlocks. I believe it might be the lock actuator. The door locks and unlocks fine but the buzzing noise is extremely loud. There are no warning lights and it has not been looked at by a mechanic.

For the past several years we have tried to get power to examine the conditio. To no avail. Several times a week when we are driving the car will shut off and we lose power steering, the van turns off and we have to switch it into park to continue. Some day it happens several times. It seems like it is an occurance happening in other cars. ( see NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID:
14V373000. & 11V139000 ). I am worried bc it has almost led to several wrecks:.. it effects electrical. The ignition. Power steering and more. Also the air conditioner/ coolest has stopped working. We have to have tried multiple solutions with no avail… please help! And let me know if I can help With anything!

Going about 30 mph with NO WARNING, The traction control light came on it beeped and the car stalled the power steering died as did the brakes. I tried to stop the car and the ABS kicked in but not fully. I was able to yank the steering wheel enough to round a corner avoid another vehicle and get to a safe place to stop. I restarted the car and it was as if nothing occurred. I believe there is a serious flaw in the computer system and an upgrade is needed!!! I used and OBD II reader and there were no codes that came up. The car only has 89,000 miles on it. This is a serious safety concern. If I had stalled on a highway on a curve, with no real way to stop it or steer it in time with out serious struggle, the outcome could have...

Van will suddenly shut engine down resulting in loss of brakes, power steering and all other systems. Van must need to be restarted by turning key off and back to run position. Seems to happen at lower speeds and is an intermittent issue that can’t be duplicated on command. Is becoming more frequent. (3 times in 2 days most recently) Will stall in the middle of the road and unable to safely move over. Tractions control light will turn on.

Headlight switch was turned on and headlights came on then went off. Turned light switch off and then on again and the lights came on and then went out again. This happened about dark time and I was 30 minutes from home. Cannot trust vehicle to drive at night as this has happened several times as I test the switch at home. Contacted dealership and all they could tell me is there is not a recall on this issue. No warning lamps came on. Can only drive during daytime as I cannot trust lights.

When starting the ignition there were times the vehicle would not start or would suddenly stop when driving. Before purchasing this van the starter the fuel pump were replace almost three years (owner) later the starter was replaced and continued to have the same issue. Our Dodge Chrysler mechanic now say a external fuel pump relay must be place and have wiring. The risk is the safety of the driver and passengers when driving and suddenly the car stopping cause a accident and injuries. The vehicle was inspected by the Dodge and Chrysler dealership where an external fuel pump relay and new wiring to prevent this incidents from happening again. No warning messages until the symptoms of failing to turn on the vehicle or sudden stops in the road.

MY WIFE WAS DRIVING, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. SHE WAS APPROACHIGN A STOP SIGN INTERSECTION WHEN THIS OCCURRED. ALL 3 OF MY KIDS IN THE CAR. THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHTS CAME ON, POWER STEERING AND BRAKES WERE AFFECTED. VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED. VERY DANGEROUS. THERE ARE MULTIPLE TRAIN CROSSINGS IN MY AREA AND MY WIFE AND I DRIVE THESE ROUTES FREQUENTLY. THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON CONCERN BASED ON THE COMPLAINTS AND NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED. I URGE ANYONE WHO EXPERIENCES THIS TO REPORT IT TO THE NHTSA. I URGE THE NHTSA TO OPEN AN INVESTIGATION AND INITIATE A RECALL ON THIS MATTER WHICH COULD POTENTIALLY AFFECT THOUSANDS OF DRIVERS (VEHICLE OWNERS) AS WELL AS THE PUBLIC AT LARGE.

OVER THE LAST YEAR OUR VAN HAS RANDOMLY STALLED OUT WHILE DRIVING BUT LUCKY IT HAPPENED ON SIDE ROADS WHERE WE COULD PULL OVER AND THEN RESTART IT. ABOUT 4-5 YEARS AGO I HAD THE R)# RECALL PERFORMED ON MY VEHICLE FOR THE WIN MODULE CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SHUT OFF RANDOMLY. NOW IN THE LAST YEAR IT HAS INTERMITTENTLY HAPPENED AROUND 10 TIMES THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF AND LOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING. I CALLED BOB RICHARDS CHRYSLER IN GRANITEVILLE SC TO REDO THE RECALL, BECAUSE I WAS A SERVICE WRITER AND MANAGER FOR 9 YEARS AT BRICKNER'S PARK CITY CHRYSLER IN CENTRAL WISCONSIN. WHEN I WAS DRIVING MY CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY GOING 15 TO 35 MPH DOWN THE SIDE STREETS THE VEHICLE WOULD JUST SHUT OFF WITH NO WARNING. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTER DIDN'T COME ON AND THE KEY DIDN'T MOVE IN THE IGNITION. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND THE FIXED THE PROBLEM AFTER I PAID $526.23. I WAS LOOKING THRU THE RECALLS FOR THIS SPECIFIC VEHICLE AND SURE ENOUGH THAT EXACT PROBLEM HAPPENED TO ENOUGH VEHICLES THEY DID A MASSIVE RECALL BUT MY VEHICLE WAS MADE 2 MONTHS BEFORE THE YEAR THEY RECALLED THE VEHICLES SO THEY WON'T REIMBURSE ME. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE IF THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ALL THOSE OTHER YEAR MAKE AND MODELS AND MY VAN JUST SO HAPPENED TO HAVE THAT SAME PROBLEM AND WAS MANUFACTURED 2 MONTHES BEFORE THE RECALL YEAR!
