MY CAR HAS SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING I WAS PULLING OFF OF A STOP SIGN THIS IS A HUGE SAFTEY HAZARD
I HAVE A 2015 CHRYSLER 200 S I HAVE SEARCHED THE RECALL DATABASE AND IT SAYS ALL RECALLS HAVE BEEN PERFORMED. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD ISSUES SINCE I HAVE BOUGHT IT AND TO NO SATISFACTION HAS ANYTHING BEEN COMPLETED. LIGHTS ON MY DASHBOARD ARE FLASHING AND THE SCREEN IS FLASHING DIFFERENT SYSTEMS ARE MALFUNCTIONING. IT SITS IN MY DRIVEWAY I AM AFRAID TO MOVE IT ALTHOUGH NOW IT SAYS IT HAS A MISFIRE AND THE SERVICE AWD LIGHT IS ON. WHEN I DID DRIVE IT THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CAR WILL NOT DRIVE PAST 1500 RPM.
AT ABOUT 46,0000 MILES THE VALVE BODY IN THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT CAME ON AND SAID IT NEEDED TO BE SERVICED. I TOOK IT STRAIGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP IN ALBANY, NY WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR, AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE VALVE BODY X2 BECAUSE THE CAR FAILED TO START AFTER THE FIRST REPLACEMENT.
WHEN DRIVING, THE CAR WILL JUST STOP ACCELERATING AND THE DASH WILL FLASH ERROR MESSAGES SAYING SERVICE TRANSMISSION AND EMERGENCY BRAKE FAILURE. THE CAR WILL NOT SHIFT FROM DRIVE TO PARK, SO YOU HAVE TO SET THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO KEEP FROM ROLLING IF YOU ARE ON A SLOPE/HILL. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND TURNED IT BACK ON A FEW MINUTES LATER AND IT WAS DRIVABLE, BUT DID THE SAME THING DAYS LATER. THE CAR HAS 75,000 MILES ON IT. THE CAR HAS BEEN PARKED AND NOT DRIVEN SINCE, BECAUSE I'M SO AFRAID OF CAUSING A WRECK.
THE CAR STALLED AT A STOP SIGN AND STALLED AGAIN 3 TIMES AFTER THAT. IT READ SHIFT TO P TO START I DID THAT AND IT WOULD NOT LET ME CHANGE GEAR AFTER THAT. I KNOW THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE CHRYSLER 200 SO IT SHOULD BE A RECALL. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE IT HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING IN A ROUNDABOUT AND PEOPLE COULD HAVE REAR ENDED ME.
MY 2015 CHRYSLER 200 LIMITED WOULD NOT START AND THE BRAKE WAS EXTREMELY TIGHT. I WAS GLAD I WAS PARKED IN MY GARAGE AND NOT DRIVING ONLY TO HAVE IT STALL. THE LIGHTS AND RADIO CAME ON AT FIRST. I THOUGHT MAYBE MY KEY FOB BATTERY WAS LOW SO I USED ANOTHER KEY FOB WITH A FRESH BATTERY. WELL IT STILL DIDN'T START. SO WENT TO WORK. LUCKILY I HAVE AN OLD CAR I COULD USE. WHEN I CAME HOME TO SEE IF THE CAR WOULD START IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. NO LIGHTS, NO DASHBOARD LIGHTS, TRUNK WON'T OPEN, DOORS WON'T LOCK AND UNLOCK. JUST COMPLETELY DEAD. I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR FOUR YEARS NOW AND IT HAS GIVEN ME A COUPLE OF PROBLEMS BUT THIS IS THE WORST. I WISH I HAD NEVER BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE. IT IS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. NOW I WILL HAVE TO...
I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 35 TO 40 MPH AND THE CAR SUDDENLY BEGAN TO SLOW DOWN TO 5 MILES AN HOUR. I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND IT SHUT OFF. I HAD IT TOWED WHERE THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT WAS THE BATTERY.THEY KEPT MY CAR FOR TWO DAYS. FOR A NEW BATTERY. SO I POPPED UP THERE WITH MY FIANC AND DROVE AROUND TO THE BACK SIDE OF THE DEALERSHIP. I GOT IN MY CAR IT STARTED RIGHT UP. MY CAR HAD NOT BEEN TOUCHED OR ANYTHING. I WENT TO THE SERVICE CASHIER WHERE HE TRIED TO SAY THAT PUT A BRAND NEW BATTERY IN IT. BUT I PULLED UP MY CELL PHONE PICS SHOWING IT'S THE SAME BATTERY THAT I PUT RED FINGER NAIL POLISH ON TO SHOW IT'S MY SAME BATTERY. THEY MADE ME PAY FOR ' LOOKING ST MY CAR' EVEN THOUGH...
ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE CALL WOULD STALL, LOSE POWER AND SIMPLY SHUT OFF. NO WARNING AT ALL. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON THE INTERSTATE, CITY HIGHWAY AND CITY ROADS. USUALLY AFTER 2 -3 ATTEMPTS TO RESTART THE CAR, IT WILL START AND PROCEED. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, ONE TIME IT STALLED ON THE INTERSTATE AND WHEN I PRESSED THE BRAKE TO TRY AND STOP, THE BRAKING SYSTEM DOES NOT FUNCTION THE SAME WHEN THE CAR IS NOT ON VERSES WHEN THE CAR IS RUNNING. IT ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. ONE A SEPARATE OCCASION, IT STALLED ON THE CITY ROAD HEADED TO WORK, GOING UP A HILL AND THE CAR BEHIND ME ALMOST COLLIDED WITH ME. TRANSMISSION ISSUES FOR ALMOST A YEAR. I HAVE EXPLAINED THEM TO THE DEALERSHIP WHO REFUSES TO DOCUMENT. I PURCHASED THIS CAR NEW THE SUMMER OF 2015. IT HAD SEALANTS MISSSING FROM THE MANUFACTURE AND SO IT HAD A LEAK THAT RESULTED IN THE DEALERSHIP HAVING MY CAR FOR 2 MONTHS AND ME HAVING TO FORCE THEM TO REPLACE MY CARPETING THEY LET SIT IN THE SUN FOR 2 WEEKS AND MOLD AND TO REPLACE PARTS IN MY CAR THAT THEY BROKE THE CLIPS ON TRYING TO FIND THE LEAK. SEVERAL TIMES THEY CALLED ME TO COME AND GET MY CAR WITH MOLD IN IT AND PARTS STILL HANGING. I HAD TO GET MANAGERS INVOLVED. I CAME TO GET AN OIL CHANGE ONCE AND THEY SENT ME OUT ONTO THE STREET WITHOUT TIGHTENING THE LUGS AND I WAS WOBBLING DOWN THE STREET AND THEY LIED AND SAID THE PRESSURE WAS OFF...

ON ONE OCCASION, THE LIGHTS ON THE GEAR SHIFTER BEGAN FLASHING AND THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED AND OPERATED NORMALLY AFTER THE UNEXPECTED SHUT OFF. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH VEHICLE WOULD NOT SHIFT, TRANSMISSION LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON DASHBOARD AND TWO MESSAGES STATED PERFORMANCE SHIFTING WAS UNAVAILABLE, SERVICE TRANSMISSION MESSAGE CAME ACROSS SCREEN. VEHICLE DISPLAYED 4TH GEAR AT ALL TIMES, PLACED IT IN PARK, WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF PARK AT FIRST, EVENTUALLY CAME OUT OF PARK AND WAS STILL DISPLAYING 4TH GEAR. ARMORY CHRYSLER DEALER IN UPSTATE NY STATED IT WAS ACTUALLY STUCK IN 2ND GEAR, THEY STATED THERE WERE STORED CODES, BUT WERE UNABLE TO TELL ME WHAT THEY WERE. AT THIS POINT THEY ARE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND STATED THAT BECAUSE IT WAS INTERMITTENT THAT IT WAS PROBABLY ELECTRICAL. STILL WAITING FOR DIAGNOSTICS FROM ARMORY CHRYSLER DEALER
CAR STARTED MAKING AN AWFUL CLANKING NOISE WHEN TURNING. HAD THREE (3) DIFFERENT PLACES LOOK AT IT AND THEY ALL SAID IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION. TOOK IT TO SPITZER CHRYSLER IN BROOK PARK, OH WHO SAID IT WAS EVERYTHING BUT THE TRANSMISSION. THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME MORE THAN THE CAR IS WORTH. HAD IT TOWED TO A DIFFERENT CHRYSLER DEALER AS IT'S UNDRIVABLE AND LEAKED ALL IT'S TRANSMISSION FLUID OUT.
THIS VEHICLE HAS A SHUDDER AND A JERKING MOTION AT APPROXIMATELY THE 28 TO 35 MPH RANGE. ALSO SWITCHING THE GEARS FROM NEUTRAL TO DRIVE OR REVERSE WILL FREEZE. HAVE TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND TRY AGAIN. AS FAR AS THE SUSPENSION, THE LEFT REAR HAS MADE A SOUND ALMOST FROM THE BEGINNING WHEN VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. IT MAKES A CLUNKING SOUND IF GOING OVER A BUMP, OR HIT A DEVIATION IN THE ROAD. WAS TOLD FOR THE LONGEST TIME COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN 1 SHOCK IS BAD.

ASPEN AVE, BROKEN ARROW, OK), BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
TL* THE CONTACT'S NIECE OWNS A 2015 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED TO MOVE. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE WAS STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THE DRIVER HAD TO MOVE THE SHIFTER BACK AND FORTH UNTIL SHE WAS ABLE TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
2015 CHRYSLER 200S TRANSMISSION FAILURES. NUMEROUS TIMES THE GEAR WOULD SLIP FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL WHILE AT STOPLIGHTS. THE DASHBOARD WOULD INSTRUCT ME TO SHIFT INTO PARK THE CHOOSE DESIRED GEAR. THAT'S IF I'M LUCKY AND THE SHIFT KNOB DOESN'T LOCK, PREVENTING ME FROM SHIFTING INTO PARK OR ANY OTHER. NUMEROUS TIMES IT HAS DISENGAGED FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT SPEEDS RANGING FROM 55 MPH TO 70 MPH. HAVING FIND A WAY TO THE SHOULDER WITH NO POWER WHILE ACTIVATING THE HAZARD LIGHTS HAS PROVEN QUITE DISTURBING TO MANEUVER THROUGH TRAFFIC. SEVERAL TIMES IT HAS SLIPPED OUT OF DRIVE WHILE GOING THROUGH INTERSECTIONS LEAVING ME DISABLED IN THE MIDDLE OF BUSY ROADS AT THE MERCY OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC, HOPING THEY BRAKE IN TIME. IT HAS NEARLY BEEN THE CAUSE OF SEVERAL WRECKS HAVING LOSS OF POWER, STEERING WHEEL BECOMES HARD TO TURN AND I'VE NOWHERE...

FIRST STARTED JUNE 21, THE CAR STALLED ON MY WIFE AT A RED LIGHT AND WOULDN'T GO BACK INTO PARK FINALLY GET IT GOING TOKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THE TRANSMISSION NEED UPDATES AND DID THE UPDATES AND SAID I WAS GOOD TO GO UPON DRIVING IT HOME THE DASH LITE UP WITH SERVICE TRANSMISSION AND SERVICE PARK BRAKE I TOKE IT BACK AND WAS TOLD THE SPEED SENSOR WAS DIRTY AND THEY CLEANED IT AND IT WAS GOOD TO GO I LICK THE CAR UP AND UPON HITTING 40 MPH THE SAME LIGHTS CAME ON THEN I WAS TOLD SPEED SENSOR WAS BAD SO THEY REPLACED IT AGAIN UPON PICKING IT UP HITTING 40 MPH SAMEIGHTS CAME ON SO THEY HAVE NOW HAD IT GOING ON THE 4TH WEEK
THE CAR HAS A SEVERAL SECOND HESITATION WHEN PLACING YOUR FOOT ON THE GAS WHEN STARTING FROM EITHER A STOPPED POSITION OR A SLOWED POSITION. THE CAR HAS STALLED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHEN GOING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE, WHEN SLOWLY BACKING UP IT LOOSES POWER AND STALLS AS I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE TO CHANGE FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE HAS COME ON WHILE SLOWING DOWN COMING DOWN AN INCLINE CAUSING A CAR BEHIND ME TO HAVE TO SWERVE FROM HITTING ME MY VEHICLE WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES AN HOUR AT THE TIME. ALL OF THESE HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO CHRYSLER AND MOTORWORLD WHERE I HAVE BEEN TOLD THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE.

RANDOMLY MY TRANSMISSION SERVICE NOTIFICATION AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON. MOST TIMES IT IS WHILE DRIVING BUT SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS WHILE IN PARKED. WHILE DRIVING, I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND CUT OFF THE CAR FOR A FEW SECONDS TO GET THE TRANSMISSION SERVICE NOTIFICATION TO GO AWAY BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON AND GOES AWAY WHEN THE CAR HASN'T BEEN DROVE FOR HOURS. IT USED TO HAPPEN ONCE EVERY TIME I TRAVELED TO ANOTHER CITY BUT NOW IT HAPPENS WHEN I DRIVE LONGER THAN 15 MINUTES.

TURLOCK CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (1600 AUTO MALL DR, TURLOCK, CA 95380, (209) 250-5800) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,990. *TR*JB
VEHICLE WAS RUNNING AND IT SWITCHES GEARS WHILE IN DRIVE, A FEW WEEKS LATER A SERVICE SHIFTER AND SERVICE TRANS MESSAGE POPS UP. CAR GETS STUCK IN PARK, HAVE TO USE MANUAL OVER RIDE TO TOW IT. GET TOLD IT IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE AND NOT A TRANSMISSION ISSUE TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION SHIFTER MODULE.
ON JUNE 19 AT APPROXIMATELY 9:15AM, I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK TO TAKE MY SON TO SUMMER CAMP. I WAS ABOUT 5 MINUTES FROM MY JOB. I HAD JUST CROSSED A BRIDGE. MY CAR HIT A GUARDRAIL AND I SPUN INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE LANE. I WAS NOT DISTRACTED OR ON MY PHONE. I TAKE THAT SAME ROAD EVERYDAY AND NEVER HAD AN ISSUE. WHEN I GOT OUT OF THE CAR, I NOTICED THAT THE AXLE AND WHEEL HAD COME COMPLETELY OFF. I WAS TOLD BY THE WITNESSES AND THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER THAT THE CV AXLE HAD BROKE OFF WHICH CAUSED ME TO HIT THE GUARDRAIL. I AM A SAFE DRIVER AND THIS WAS MY FIRST ACCIDENT. I PURCHASED THE CAR IN JANUARY OF THIS YEAR FROM CARVANA AND IT WAS DELIVERED TO ME ON FEBRUARY 2ND. THE CAR WAS SERVICED IN JANUARY ACCORDING TO THE PAPERWORK...

ALSO, AWD NOT AVAILABLE LIGHT FIRST FLASHED ON WHEN TAKING A LEFT TURN ON RAINY DAY. IT WAS FOLLOWED BY SERVICE AWD INDICATOR LIGHT COMING ON. AT FIRST THESE INDICATOR LIGHTS WOULD COME ON INTERMITTENTLY, BUT NOW COME ON EACH TIME ENGINE IS STARTED AND THE SERVICE AWD LIGHT NOW STAYS ON UNTIL THE ENGINE IS SHUT OFF.
SOUTH SHORE DEALER IN INWOOD NY PERFORMED A RECALL S55 BUT PROBLEM STILL EXISTS CAR DROPS INTO NEUTRAL WHILE DRIVING, WANTED A SECOND OPINION AT GARDEN CITY DEALER THEY WOULDNT EVEN LOOK AT IT TO DO A DIAGNOSIS TO SEE IF RECALL WAS ACTUALLY DONE. ALL I WANT IS THE RECALL DONE AND DONE PROPERLY

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PARKWAY HYUNDAI LOCATED AT 5920 MARKET ST A, WILMINGTON, NC 28405, (877) 250-3183, WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V529000 (POWER TRAIN). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
WHEN COMING TO A STOP OR ACCELERATING FROM A COMPLETE STOP EITHER TURNING OR STRAIGHT, THE ENGINE STALLS WITHOUT WARNING & THERE IS NO POWER STEERING OR MOMENTUM TO SAFELY PULL OVER. I HAVE BEEN STUCK WITH HAZARDS ON AT NEIGHBORHOOD STOP SIGNS, IN STOPPED TRAFFIC AFTER THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN, FREEWAY ON RAMPS, IN THE CENTER OF SMALL & LARGE INTERSECTIONS BLOCKING TRAFFIC, ON RAILROAD TRACKS, & MORE. IT CAN TAKE UP TO 3 TRIES FOR THE ENGINE TO RESTART. OBVIOUSLY THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE, & I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT I SHOULD BE STUCK IN AN INTERSECTION BECAUSE A NEWER CAR WITH SUCH LOW MILES DIES EVERY DAY, OFTEN SEVERAL TIMES A DAY. 2015 CHRYSLER 200 LIMITED WHEN ACCELERATING FROM PARK THE CAR IS REVING TO 3RD AND 4TH BUT GOING SLOWLY GETTING STUCK BETWEEN THOSE TWO GEARS THEN JERKING AND GIVING DRAGGING AFFECT AFTER. WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY OR STREET CAR DRAGS AFTER STOPPING AND THEN ACCELERATING. VAR FEELS AS IF IT IS FISHTAILING AND THE WHEELS ARE GETTING STUCK FOR A MIBUTE BEFORE IT JERKS BACK INTO PLACE. AIR BAG SENSOR GOES ON AND OFF FROM TIME TO TIME. WHEN IT COMES ON IT WILL SOMETIMES STAY ON FOR DAYS SOMETIMES WEEKS AT A TIME. OIL CHANGES HAVE BEEN DONE REGULARLY. JUAT STARTED HAPPENING ON 6/19/2019. CAR SEEMS TO PULL AND VIBRATE EVEN HARDER WHEN THE A/C UNIT IS ON. CAR ALSO HAS A HARD VIBRATING NOISE UNDER HOOD. MILES:93,800 TRANSMISSION IS UNDER WARRANTY UNTIL 100,000 MILES NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS CAME ON AS OF YET.
TROUBLE BEGAN IN MAY 2019. 'SERVICE TRANSMISSION' COMES UP ON DISPLAY, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATES, AND THE CAR DOES NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY. IT GETS STUCK INTO A HIGHER GEAR, MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE FROM A COMPLETE STOP. SOMETIMES TURNING THE CAR OFF/ON WILL CLEAR THE MESSAGE AND SHIFT PROPERLY (ALBEIT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON), AND SOMETIMES IT TAKES A FEW HOURS BEFORE IT WILL GO AWAY. EVENTUALLY BOTH THE MESSAGE AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL GO AWAY BUT EVENTUALLY (SOMETIMES MINUTES, HOURS, OR AFTER A FEW DAYS) THE TROUBLE WILL PERSIST. I TOOK IT INTO A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP ON 6/15/19 AND THEY SAID THE BATTERY FAILED 2 OF 3 TIMES AND REPLACED THE BATTERY AND REPROGRAMMED THE TCM. TOTAL COST $312. THIS FIX LASTED THREE DAYS. SCHEDULED ANOTHER APPT AT I10 DODGE IN INDIO, CA. FOR 8AM. THE MESSAGE AND CEL WILL OCCUR RANDOMLY. SOMETIMES...
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OFTEN SLIPS/SHUTTERS WHEN ADVANCING THROUGH THE LOWER GEARS ON AN UPHILL CLIMB.
CAR LOSES OIL EVEN WHEN NOT DUE FOR OIL CHANGE NOT BURNING UP JUST LOSES IT CAUSE CAR TO STALL AND NOT START HORRIBLE ENGINEERING FLAW JUST HAD A OIL CHANGE LAST WEEK AND CONTINUES TO DO THIS
CAR WILL STALL AND WILL INDICATE ON THE DASH TO SHIFT INTO PARK WHILE THE D FLASHS ON BOTH THE DASH AND ON THE GEAR SELECTOR. ONCE THE CAR IS IN PARK AND I TRY TO RESTART THE CAR IT SOUNDS LIKE IT TRIES TO START AND TIMES OUT AND I HAVE TO TRY AGAIN.
VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL. I'VE REPORTED THIS BEFORE AND CHRYSLER INSISTS OUR VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM NOR IT IS INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. PROBLEM ALWAYS OCCURS WHILE SPEED CONTROL IS ON AND GOING DOWNHILL. THE RPM'S WILL INCREASE SIGNIFICANTLY IN AN APPARENT ATTEMPT TO SLOW DOWN THE VEHICLE BY SHIFTING DOWN TO WAY TOO LOW OF A GEAR. OFTEN RPM'S WILL RACE NEAR 5000+ AND THE SCARIEST PART IS WHEN YOU APPLY THE BRAKES THE SPEED CONTROL DOES NOT RELEASE. I HAVE BEEN THE ONE DRIVING WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED ON HALF A DOZEN OR MORE TIMES. RECENTLY MY WIFE WAS DRIVING ALONE AND EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM AND DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WHEN SHE QUICKLY APPROACHED A SLOW MOVING VEHICLE AND THE SPEED CONTROL WOULD NOT RELEASE. SHE HAS BLADDER ISSUES AND PEE'D HER PANTS, LITERALLY. LUCKILY SHE HAS BEEN IN THE VEHICLE BEFORE WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED...
THERE IS OFTEN A SIGNIFICANT DELAY WITH ENGAGING DRIVE AFTER REVERSING AND COMING TO A FULL STOP. THERE IS SUCH A DELAY SUCH AS THE USUAL SLIGHT INCREASE IN ACCELERATION EXPECTED AND NEEDED TO DRIVE FORWARD THAT WHEN DRIVE FINALLY KICKS IN IT CLUNKS AND JERKS UNTIL IT STARTS MOVING FORWARD. THIS HAS HAPPENED QUITE OFTEN, MORE THAN A DOZEN TIMES. THE SHIFTING ALSO SEEMS JERKY SOMETIMES WHILE IN DRIVE WHEN SHIFTING BETWEEN THE LOWER GEARS. I SUSPECT SOFTWARE ISSUES OF SHIFT POINTS PERHAPS OR JUST BAD COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN THE COMPUTER SYSTEMS THAT COMMUNICATE TO MAKE THE SHIFTS OCCUR AT THE RIGHT TIMES. I MADE AN ACTUAL REPORT TO CHRYSLER WITHIN THE LAST YEAR OR SO AT THE SAME TIME I REPORTED THE ISSUE WITH THE SPEED CONTROL NOT SHUTTING OFF (WHICH IS AN ACTIVE RECALL BUT THEY SAY OUR CAR DOESN'T HAVE THE PROBLEM AND IS NOT RECALLABLE) BUT...
THESE PAST FEW DAYS MY CAR HAS BEEN STALLING OUT WITH NO WARNING. ALL OF THESE TIMES I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IN TRAFFIC. THE CAR STALLS AND MESSAGE WILL APPEAR TO SOMETHING UPON PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND PUT IN PARK. ONCE YOU DO THAT THE CAR WILL TRY TO RESTART ITSELF. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V470000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 71,201.

WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE FROM THE STOP POSITION ON THE STREET OR AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND I BEGIN TO ACCELERATE THE VEHICLE HESITATES AS THE ENGINE RPMS INCREASE. IT TAKES ABOUT 2-5 SECONDS FOR THE TRANSMISSION TO CATCH UP WITH THE DESIRED SPEED. WHEN DRIVING OVER 45 - 55MPH OR HIGHER ON THE HIGHWAY THERE IS A DISTINCT HUMMING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. A CONSTANT HUMMING SOUND. WHEN I DECREASE IN SPEED THE TRANSMISSION JERKS AS IF IT DOESN'T WANT TO GO INTO ITS LOWER GEARS. THE DEALER CLEANED THE SPARK PLUG CHAMBER AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE REQUIRED AN OIL CHANGE EVERY 3,000 MILES. THE DEALER FURTHER STATED THAT IF THE OIL CHANGE WAS NOT...
VEHICLE LOOSES POWER WHILE DRIVING; BOTH ON THE INTERSTATE AND COUNTRY ROADS. TURNS ITSELF OFF. TRANSMISSION FREEZES BETWEEN 4TH AND 6TH GEARS. AND WON'T SHIFT, CAUSING LOSS OF POWER.
