2015 CHRYSLER 200 Electrical System Problems

I’m not sure but it will randomly die and have to be restarted there are times it does it more than others but every time is extremely dangerous because you essentially lose control of the car until it is restarted and it shift extremely hard sometimes like it feels like the transmission is going to fall out it jerks the entire car violently and there are numerous low voltage codes as well

You have a recall for chryslr 200 2015 for intermittent starting and stalling caused by faulty PDC connector. NHTSA. My car is doing exactly that but its not under the recall why not? It had done this gor the last 4 months

Friday, I was stuck in traffic when I noticed my temperature rising. I couldn’t pull to the side or turn my car off or do anything to get me safely out of the situation, my car then reached at what I last seen 275 degrees before shutting down. I had to leave my car setting as it was smoking and undrivable at this point. Later that night I got my car back home and upon further inspection my fan has abruptly stopped working, it is still getting voltage (bought a new fan) and that one also will not work either. The electrical system has been having issues since I bought the car in 2015. The dash display behind the steering wheel flashes, the radio system restarts itself multiple times throughout a 15-minute trip between stops. The uconnect/radio is off and it is available for inspection. In some extreme cases, a malfunctioning radio could potentially interfere with other critical vehicle functions, creating a safety hazard. Also it interferes with my A/C & only blows hot air when it chooses to work. I was barely coming off of the freeway during traffic hour when my dashboard randomly indicated to shift into parking gear, which I did, and then the car turned off on me right before at the top of a downhill. I couldn't shift into neutral and couldn't get the car to turn back on. There I was in the hot weather with a car in the middle of the road right off of the freeway exit without a clue as to what happened. I had to get towed and the vehicle is now at the dealer; they won't be able to take a look at it until 5 days after the occurrence.

On 5/8 a conversation took place with a Chrysler Customer Service representative which was recorded. The representative acknowledged that the TCM going out is common due to the Transaxle Control Harness recall. The representative acknowledged this has not become a recall yet but this is a known problem and issue with the vehicles.

Radio not working. Headlights quit working. Replaced them both. Within 5 minutes, one bulb exploded. Next day it won’t crank.

The vehicle lost power and completely shut down while driving. I was unable to turn on emergency flashers or move the vehicle out of the street. There was no warning or indication lights on. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and a private mechanic and they were unable to diagnose problem. After disengaging the battery and waiting about an hour, then reengaging battery, all power comes back on. I have had six incidents of this happening and two of the incidents were while driving, putting me at risk of being struck by another vehicle.

While driving the car on the highway it completely shut off and would not start. My dashboard is black and flashes. This could have been worse and put our life at risk. I have had so many issues on this car ever since I purchased it. I have taken it to a shop before and this will be my third time.

The car gives an error message of "engine warming wait to start" It will not crank. I've spent money for a new battery and a starter and it wasn't the fix. Hundreds of other consumers have reported this issue in online forums and to the maker and still no resolve. They stopped production of the car for this reason. Something has to be done.

Chrysler/fiat has issued a TSB recommending the wiring harness inside seat to be replaced. This should be a safety recall not a TSB since it has to do with airbags. It's a safety hazard. This needs to be done before someone is seriously injured or dies.

Decelerating while approaching a stop sign the engine shut off and would not restart for approximately 10 minutes. No warning lamps or indicators were lit. The driver was in danger of rear collision while attempting to restart.

Car stalls when starting from a stop. If the outside air temperature is below 50 degrees F, it seems worse. There are no warning lights, no codes...it just stalls out. there have been recalls to other chrysler 200 for these reasons. I am having issues with all of these and no recall.
