Vehicle and purchase details Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe VIN: 1C4RJXR6XRW251767 Purchase date: September 13, 2024 Selling/servicing dealer: AutoNation West Location: Golden, Colorado Key timeline 09/13/2024 – I purchased the vehicle new from AutoNation. By November 2025 – The vehicle had approximately 21,537 miles, still under 24,000 miles. October 2025 – The vehicle was serviced for recall 56C and was out of service for several days. Early November 2025 – Jeep/stellantis announced recall 76C (and also 68C) affecting my VIN, involving significant safety concerns and instructions limiting how the vehicle can be used/charged. At that time, my vehicle had roughly 21,537 miles, well below 24,000 miles. As I understand it, no actual fix was available at that time. Late 2025 into early 2026 – I continued to use the vehicle subject to Stellantis’ restrictions and with the open safety recalls still impacting my ability to use the vehicle normally and...

Recall issued for engine containing sand but no fix in sight. Told not to drive a car we just purchased?!?!
#11719650 |
Ever since the 68c recall update my Jeep has been having a hard time knowing what system it should be using to drive. The electric system shuts off, but the engine doesn’t start up until I press the gas pedal to the floor. I’ve had multiple instances on the freeway where this has happened and almost caused me to wreck. I’m very concerned this is happening.

After stopping at a stop sign and proceeding through an intersection cruising over ac one way street my vehicle lost power in the middle of the intersection. Thankfully the vehicle traveling straight was far enough away and was able to Shan this brakes and stop avoiding a tbone collision. Out of no where the car stopped and started back up but not before almost causing an accident

I am the lessee of a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4-Door 4xe (Mileage: 7,168) affected by open recall 78C (NHTSA 25V-766). The recall notice states my vehicle's engine may be contaminated with sand from the casting process, which can cause catastrophic engine failure, resulting in vehicle fire or unexpected loss of propulsion without warning. The recall was issued November 6, 2025. Today is February 19, 2026—over three months later—and despite contacting FCA/Jeep and my dealer, NO REMEDY OR REPAIR PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I have been told to wait indefinitely with no estimated fix date. I am making monthly lease payments for a vehicle the manufacturer admits is unsafe to drive. I fear for my safety and my passengers' safety every time I operate this vehicle. The risk of fire or sudden power loss on a highway could be deadly. I request that NHTSA compel FCA US LLC to provide an immediate...

The 78C recall associated with Jeep Wrangler 4xe's poses a great safety risk to myself, other 4xe owners, and other drivers on the road as it can lead to, "catastrophic engine failure, which can result in a vehicle fire or an unexpected and unrecoverable loss of propulsion." While Stellantis did notify us of this recall, it has already been 3 months since the recall was announced. The initial recall letter stated that the fix was estimated in Q2 of 2026, so another 2-4 months from now, which would be a total of 5-7 months from start to finish. We have not heard any updates on when this remedy may actually come. In my opinion, this is not remedying the issue in a timely manner and it is nerve wracking knowing this could happen whenever I get in my vehicle.

I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe with approximately 14,000 miles. The vehicle is subject to multiple safety recalls involving fire risk and potential catastrophic failure. Recall 1 involves the high-voltage battery. The manufacturer instructed owners not to charge the vehicle and not to park near structures due to risk of fire. The recall notice states that not charging may lower the risk of fire. Recall 2 indicates that manufacturing contamination (dust/debris) may cause fire or catastrophic engine failure. No remedy is currently available and no repair timeline has been provided. To perform the battery recall, the dealership advised that the vehicle must be charged. However, the dealer indicated limited charger availability and no loaner vehicles, requiring the vehicle to be left for multiple days. Recall 1 has been repaired, but it took multiple attempts because the dealership was not properly equipped to handle it. Recall 2 remains outstanding. Due...

I have a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe that was caught on fire at 2am 2/10/26 when parked in my garage. Jeep issed 68C recall for its defective EV battery, and I had finished the recall on 1/20/26 in Fremont CDJR in CA, but it was still caught on fire. I have every thing saved, Ring footage and invoices from the dealer about recall. Just want to report that the remedy from Jeep does not help at all.

Dealers: Lakeland Crysler Dodge RAM, FL; Second authorized Jeep dealer, Bartow FL Complaint: My 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara has multiple unresolved safety defects despite repeated warranty repairs, and I have no confidence in this Jeep at just 12,000 miles. Forward Collision Warning (FCW) not working — Lakeland Jeep failed to repair or document inspections. Fuel leak / gasoline fumes in the cabin — After repairs on Feb 4, 2026, strong fumes entered the cabin while my children were passengers. A second dealer confirmed the leak and retained the vehicle as unsafe. sensor failures — Reported since July 2024, still unresolved. Failure to document safety sensors — Repeatedly requested, ignored by dealer and Stellantis. Dealer GM and Stellantis negligence — Cases closed prematurely; repairs rushed without confirming the Jeep was safe to drive. The Jeep continues to pose serious risk to passengers, including my children, due to fuel fumes and non-functioning...

While driving at approximately 70 miles per hour, the vehicle experienced a sudden loss of power and felt as though the engine was going to shut off. This created an immediate safety hazard and forced me to pull over to the side of the road. Despite feeling unsafe, I continued driving directly to the dealership to have the vehicle inspected due to an engine warning light related to the fuel system. The vehicle has only been serviced and inspected by the dealership. I was informed that there is currently no available remedy for Recall 78C. With the recall unresolved, the vehicle continues to pose a significant safety risk. The potential for engine failure while driving at highway speeds places me, my passengers, other motorists, and nearby property in danger. Due to these conditions, I do not feel the vehicle is safe to operate or park until the recall issue is...

Catastrophic Loss of Motive Power and Power Steering at Road Speed Following Recall 68C Update. Description: On February 6, 2026, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (Mileage: 24,947) suffered a catastrophic safety failure while in motion on a public roadway. This occurred about 25 hours after the vehicle was "cleared" by a dealership for Recall 68C (NHTSA Recall 25V-741). While driving at approximately 25/30 MPH in Electric Mode, the vehicle suddenly displayed a "Service Transmission" warning and a red high-voltage "Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System" error. The vehicle immediately lost all motive power and entered a "Limp Mode" (Turtle icon) that restricted speed to under 5 MPH. Simultaneously, the vehicle lost power steering and displayed errors for "Service Shifter," "Auto Emergency Braking (AEB) Unavailable," and "Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Unavailable." I was forced to drift the unpowered vehicle across lanes of traffic into a shoulder without power steering where another vehicle...

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? YES GAS LEAK Engine oil leaks: Timing cover gasket Valve cover gasket with spark plug tube seals Injector O-rings Upper oil pan reseal Leaking rear shocks (suspension issue affecting vehicle stability) Upper oil pan replacement seal (additional engine oil sealing issue) Collision sensor failing (forward collision warning / crash-prevention system) The vehicle is currently at a dealership and available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The active fuel leak created immediate fire and fume inhalation hazards inside the passenger compartment, where occupants, including children, were seated. Fuel leak could have caused an engine fire. Engine leaks created risk of stalling or mechanical failure while driving. Leaking rear shocks affected vehicle stability and handling. The malfunctioning forward collision warning sensor impacted a crash-prevention safety system. These combined issues...

Klamath Falls Dodge Dealership and Stellantis have failed to repair the defects cited in the A7C, 68C and 78C. My vehicle is subject to sudden stops and sudden fires. The vehicle has been at the dealership since 12/28/2025. I filed a claim online and with certified mail with Stellantis. No action has been taken to correct the defects and the vehicle can't be driven in a safe manner.

I am writing to report an additional safety‑related incident involving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe. This vehicle previously experienced propulsion issues that I reported under NHTSA Case Number 11692887. On the morning of February 4, 2026, while driving to work on a busy interstate (approximately 12 miles from home), the vehicle again began exhibiting propulsion instability. The vehicle experienced repeated surging and thrusting movements that became progressively more severe during the drive. During these events, the check‑engine light intermittently illuminated and then turned off. This incident occurred exactly seven days after my vehicle was evaluated by Sam Leman Dodge on January 27, 2026, for three open safety recalls. At that visit, I was provided paperwork indicating that the issues had been addressed. However, as of today, the official Jeep/Mopar recall website still shows multiple serious and active safety recalls for my VIN, including recalls involving fire risk and sudden...

Vehicle experiences sudden unintended stopping and loss of propulsion. There are known safety recalls with no available remedy. Vehicle is unsafe and inoperable. Smoke/burning odor present. Children were in the vehicle during incidents. Manufacturer has not provided a fix. I was on my way to work towards the end of September with a SEMI behind me and it stopped out of the blue while driving! Thank God I acted fast and pushed start then stop to get it to go and out of the way, I was right infront of my job. Other times I have been alone and most recently during Christmas break my brother in law was in the car with me when it happened and he screamed and said to turn around, he’s a mechanic and he wanted to see what I was talking about. We didn’t even make it but out of the apartment complex when...

The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that when attempting to accelerate from being idle, or while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would suddenly jerk, accelerate at an unexpected speed, or fail to accelerate. There was a ticking noise coming from the front end of the vehicle that could be heard when standing outside the vehicle. The Check Engine light and the explanation warning light, as well as others not specified, would illuminate intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times; however, the dealer was not able to diagnose the failure. The dealer updated the vehicle's software but was unable to provide a remedy for the failures. The dealer informed the contact of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V741000 (Electrical System) and 25V766000 (Engine); however, the parts to do the recall repair were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for...

To address what system failed: The Engine shuts off while driving at highway speeds without warning. The Electrical system suddenly and completely shutdown. Loss of Propulsion while driving. To address the safety for myself and others at risk: The Vehicles sudden loss of propulsion at highway speeds created an immediate risk of rear-end collision, loss of control of the vehicle or being stranded in active traffic lanes. Surrounding vehicles were forced to brake and maneuver unexpectedly, placing myself, passengers (children) and other motorists at risk of serious injury or death. No warning lights prior to failure and the vehicle will be inspected on February 2, 2026 at Westgate in Raleigh.

I own a 2024 Jeep 4xe in Alabama with approximately 9,000 miles. The vehicle was towed to a dealership due to safety concerns related to active recalls, including Recall 68C involving the high-voltage battery, as well as a second engine-related recall for which no remedy has been issued. The vehicle was checked in and a repair order was opened. Dealer diagnostic notes indicate trouble codes related to the high-voltage system, coolant heater, and EVAP system, and state that certain components “need to be replaced.” Despite this, I later received a text message stating the vehicle was “ready for pickup,” even though active safety recalls remain and it was not clearly communicated that the listed components were replaced. Because these recalls involve potential fire risk and high-voltage system faults, I do not feel the vehicle is safe to operate, especially with children riding in it. The vehicle has remained at the...

The vehicle experienced a loss of motive power while stopped at a traffic light and would not accelerate when the accelerator was pressed. The failure appears related to the powertrain/electrical system. The vehicle was unable to move and required a restart to regain propulsion. The vehicle remains available for inspection upon request. This failure placed my safety and the safety of other road users at risk due to the inability to proceed through an intersection as expected, creating a risk of collision. The problem has not been reproduced on demand, but it has occurred at least once and is consistent with an active safety recall (A7C) related to loss of motive power. The issue has been discussed with the manufacturer and a dealer, both of whom confirmed that no repair or interim remedy is currently available. The vehicle has not been physically inspected by the manufacturer due to the lack...

Driving down the road with vehicles on opposite side and vehicle shut off with no warnings and had no steering. Had to turn vehicle on and off 3-4 times to get back to home. Had to get vehicle towed to dealership and now has 3 recalls on it and two have no remedy. It has been since October of 2025 since this has been going on with no fix, no solution, no reimbursement for payments still being made on a vehicle that is not drivable.

I cannot park my car in my garage or in my driveway for fear of the fire. This could happen while I am driving or parked. 2nd is that my Jeep could lose power and my Jeep could stop running while I am driving. This could happen on a highway going 65 MPH causing a crash which could kill or seriously injure myself, passenger and anyone else around. I received a recalls stating these warnings and that there are no fixes for it. I live in a townhouse development. If my car catches fire in my garage of my driveway all the houses will catch fire as well. And the 2nd goes without saying...I don't want to drive anywhere but to and from work. Crazy when I am making huge payments on a vehicle I cannot drive.

Recall 78c issued with no remedy in a timely manner. Had to move from HI to CA on military orders and vehicle is stuck in Hawaii until there’s a remedy because it cannot ship with this recall. Manufactures only advice was to leave at dealership until remedy is out. Dealership would not hold our vehicle until remedy is ready.

I have two open serious recalls on my Jeep Wrangler 4xe. There is a recall for the batter/charging system so I cannot plug it in to the charger I purchased for my home. I also have a continuing issue with my gas tank - it will not fill and the nozzel clicks off even though I have next to no gas in the tank. I can't charge the car, yet can't fill it with gas. I have brought it back to the dealership 3 or 4 times in the less than two years of owning the car. There is also a recall that effects the engine so I am scared to drive it on the highway. Basically I was tricked into leasing a $60,000 piece of absolute garbage. I can't get out of the lease early without having to -pay some type of penalty or losing money, which is really...

Loss of motor power recall has been present since October 17, 2025 - #25V710. This is an issue that started with our specific Jeep prior to this recall. It is January now and no remedy has been found. The manufacturer will not provide a loaner or rental for us even though the car has shut off on us personally on multiple occasions. They asked us to take it into the dealer to perform a diagnostic, they are unable to reproduce the shut-off issue we've experienced and have told us there is nothing they can do at this time. I looked up at your website and see there is an "interim corrective action" that has been implemented to avoid loss of motive power using an update to the backend policy while a final remedy is still under development. When I asked the dealer to either confirm if they at least performed...

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my leased 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. The vehicle is subject to an open safety recall involving the risk of engine fire and sudden engine shutdown. At this time, there is no available remedy. I have contacted Jeep Customer Care and Stellantis Financial Services multiple times and was advised that because the vehicle is leased, the issue is "out of scope," and arbitration may be my only option. I have received no written response to my safety concerns. I am concerned about operating or storing a vehicle with a known fire risk and no repair available. I am seeking manufacturer action to address this unresolved safety defect.

Car check engine light went on and began shaking. Brought to service center at which point a recall was identified by the service inspector.

The vehicle experienced repeated loss-of-power and stalling events while driving, including after a software update, which required the vehicle to be towed to a dealership. Similar drivability issues occurred earlier after purchase. The vehicle currently has multiple open safety recalls. Despite repeated attempts to work with the manufacturer and assurances of follow-up by assigned specialists, no direct contact or resolution was provided. My wife will no longer drive the vehicle because it has stalled due to software loads, and we can’t park it in our garage in fear of fire and there are other recalls as well. We bought it because it was electric and Jeep advised you should not plug it in to charge the battery.

This compliant is based on the manufactures unwillingness to provide a rental car despite the fact the car is in the shop now for over a week. They have stated in writing that they will not provide a rental car or alternative transportation until the repair for NHTSA recall number 25V-766 or 78C is determined. This leads me without a usable vehicle for an unknown period of time and their refusal to provide a rental in the main time while the vehicle is under factory warranty is a dereliction of their responsibility to provide a working product to the customer. I have a call with the manufacturer FCA which is #95240670.

Under recall 78C, Sand Contaminated Engine, I was advised by the manufacturer FCA to contact the dealership immediately if there were any unusual sounds/movements while operating the vehicle. On January 10th, 2026, the vehicle is noted to be making a new clicking/vibration sound. I contacted the dealership Milton Ruben Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Augusta GA who towed the vehicle to their location. Upon vehicle arrival, the sales manager Ben at number [XXX] called this consumer and stated he did not want the vehicle and wasn't going to service it because they catch on fire, and that he will just place it on the back lot. So now I am without a safe vehicle to drive and this is a leased vehicle that is under manufacturer warranty. The vehicle does not always turn on after coming to a stop. The auto start-stop function does not work at all times. There have been a few situations where the car will not turn back on and takes anywhere from 10-30 minutes to turn back on, and leaves us stranded at stop signs, red lights and turning lanes and we are unable to get out of the traffic which we feel is very unsafe as people have to try and go around us as we impede traffic . The vehicle displays error message stating their is a problem with the battery system, but once it turns back on (no specific time or way to get it going that we are aware of) the error light disappears. We have taken it to the dealer but they state since they cannot recreate the error , happened at ~3k miles, ~10k miles, ~16k...

After a bad OTA update in October, in November before the stop charge recall was issued I noticed on Nov 21, when in "ELECTRIC" mode, after 10 or so minutes of driving the vehicle loses the ability to accelerate past half application of the accelerator. This lack of power continues until the accelerator is FULLY pushed on the floor forcing the gas engine on and causing immediate and dangerous acceleration. After this incident on the 11/21, I didn't charge again until I had the 68C recall performed where the dealer told me they think it's fixed. On my way home from the dealer it happened again. From here I emailed the dealer over the holiday and sent them videos of the problem. I opened a case with Jeep and brought it in. I was then told they replicated my issue but that it's normal now since all the updates. They...

THREE urgent fire risk/catastrophic recalls with no remedy avail. Urged not safe to drive or charge due to fire risk. Urged to park away from buildings due to fire risk. Cannot schedule an appointment for repair as no remedy is avail. Considering, vehicle is not serviceable since September 2025. Requesting a buyback as I need a reliable and safe vehicle ASAP. Currently posing a catastrophic risk to my family, neighbors and employer/co-workers as this is my only means of transportation. Unsafe and hazardous. I purchased this vehicle back in August 2024, currently only has 17,000 miles and all services are UTD minus the recalls considering no remedy avail.
