THE STARTER WENT BAD AROUND 40,000 MILES. SOMETIMES IT STARTS OTHER TIMES IT TAKES HOURS TO START. I ALWAYS GET A NOTIFACTION THAT SAYS STARTER PROTECTION MODE ENGIN WARMING AFTER A FEW FAILED START ATTEMPTS. THE CAR STALLS OUT OFTEN. ANY TURNS SHUT THE CAR OFF. OIL MUST BE ADDED TWICE A MONTH TO FIX THE STALL ISSUE. HALF THE TIME IT SAYS 4 WHEEL DRIVE AND CRUISE CONTROL UNAVAILABLE. THIS JEEP IS A LEMON. A DISASTROUS PURCHASE. SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THE STARTERS AS MANY PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. 2 YEAR OLD CAR COSTING ME 900 TO FIX STARTER IS A JOKE.
WHOLE STATIONARY, THE JEEP HAS ACTED LIKE IT DIDN'T WANT TO START 4 SEPARATE TIMES, THE CLIMATE CHANGES ITSELF TO GO THE THE FRONT VENT ON HIGH HEAT EVERY TIME THE CAR IS TURNED ON REGARDLESS OF SETTING BEFORE TURNING OFF, AND RADIO TURNS ON AND OFF ON ITS OWN. THE AUX PORT ON THE CONSOLE WILL WORK ONE DAY AND NOT THE NEXT. WHILE DRIVING, THE CRUISE CONTROL HAS STOPPED WORKING TWICE. ALL THIS HAPPENED IN A SPAN OF TWO WEEKS.
SOMETIMES THE CAR WON'T START THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS COMES ON WITHOUT THE SWITCH EVEN BEING TURNED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE SETS ITSELF THE VEHICLE WON'T GO INTO GEAR OR JUMPS INTO NEUTRAL ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH BOARD COMES ON AND GOS CRAZY.. RADIO IS STATIC
MY VEHICLE IS EXPERIENCING FREQUENT STALLING AND WILL DIE ON ME WHENEVER I MAKE AN AVERAGE TURN (LEFT OR RIGHT), OR WHENEVER THE CAR IS DECREASING ACCELERATION ON A NORMAL CITY STREET. HOWEVER, I'M EXPERIENCING THIS MOSTLY WHEN MY CAR IS STILL HEATING UP, SO AROUND THE FIRST 10MINS OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE AFTER NOT TOUCHING IT FOR 5+ HOURS. WHEN MY CAR STALLS OR SHUTS OFF, IT STILL SHOWS THAT THE ENGINE IS ON THROUGH THE START ENGINE BUTTON. HOWEVER, I STILL NEED TO PUT MY CAR IN PARK, AND PRESS THE START ENGINE BUTTON AGAIN WHILE PRESSING ON THE GAS TO TURN ON MY CAR AGAIN. WHEN I DO THIS, THE CAR OCCASIONALLY WILL STRUGGLE TO TURN ON AND SOMETIMES IT WON'T START UP ON THE FIRST TRY. CAR STALL WHEN STARTING AND SOMETIMES STOP WHEN BRAKING. ELECTRICAL....LIGHT COMES ON. HAZARD LIGHTS COME ON RADIO TURNS ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING. TURNS ON ON IT'S OWN AFTER CAR IS PARKED AND LOCKED. WHEN TURNING OR MAKING SHAPES TURN THERE IS A NOISE COMING FROM WHEELS. STABILITY.... LIGHT COMES ON. BACKING UP CAR MAKES NOISES AS IF I HAVE GONE OVER A BUMP WHEN I HAVE NOT.
TRUCK CUTS OFF WHEN I MAKE TURNS OR IF I STOP AT A STOP LIGHT. WHEN YOU TRY TO START THE TRUCK BACK UP IT HESITATES AND WHEN IT DOES START BACK UP IT STUTTERS. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE TRUCK ALL OF A SUDDEN WHILE FLASH A LOW OIL LIGHT AND SAY LOW OIL PRESSURE AND I JUST HAD MY OIL CHANGED AT THE DEALERSHIP. NOW IT WON'T PICK UP SPEED PAST 10 AND A MESSAGE IS POPPING UP THAT SAYS CHECK SOMETHING ELECTRICAL. I CAN'T EVEN DRIVE THE TRUCK BECAUSE I'M AFRAID I'M GOING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I WAS DRIVING HOME TODAY FROM WORK AND BARELY MADE IT. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ISN'T EVEN ON. BUT IT'S NOT SHIFTING GEARS IT IDILES UP AND JUST STAYS STUCK I HAVE TO TAKE MY FOOT OF THE GAS TO TRY MAKE IT CHANGE WHILE DRIVING ON THE CITY...
MY TRANSMISSION BEGAN LEAKING BADLY AND HAD TO BE REPLACED ONLY DAYS AFTER I BOUGHT IT. THEN MY DASH'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILED CAUSING IT TO ONLY COME ON SOMETIMES AND NOT REACT TO TOUCHSCREEN, THEN MY START STOP SENSOR FAILED WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO REGISTER THAT IT WAS NOT IN PARK AND SOME TIMES PUTTING ITSELF INTO PARK UNTIL REGISTERING.
TWICE I HAVE DRIVEN MY CAR AND WHEN SLOWING DOWN THE BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURN THE KEY TO THE OFF POSITION AND THEN TURN BACK ON AND THE CAR RUNS AGAIN. *DT *TR
WHEN DRIVING VECHICLE AT ABOUT 50-55MPH BATTERY LIGHT AND STOP/START TECHNOLOGY LIGHT COMES ON ON THE DASH.SHORTLY AFTER I LOSE POWER STEERING.THIS HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES.VERY DANGEROUS SINCE YOU CAN LOSE CONTROL OF VECHICLE.I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PULL OVER AND SHUT DOWN AND RESTART VECHICLE TO REGAIN CONTROL.SEEMS TO HAPPEN RANDOMLY.BROUGHT TO DEALOR AFTER TWO TIMES.THEY FLASHED AND UPDATED SOFTWARE,SO THEY TOLD ME.HAPPENED AGAIN AFTER ABOUT 7-10 DAYS.VERY DANGEROUS.VECHICLE UNDER WARRANTY.JEEP DOES NOT SEEM TO KNOW THE CAUSE OR THE SOLUTION.PLEASE HELP BEFORE SOMETHING HAPPENS TO SOMEBODY.VECHICLE WAS TRAVELLING STRAIGHT,IN MOTION.WHEN STOPPED AT LIGHT OR SIGN,COULD NOT TURN.POWER STEERING WAS LOST.ENGINE STILL ON,BUT NO TURNING OR STEERING FUNCTION.HAPPENED ONCE ON HIGHWAY,AND TWICE ON CITY STREETS.
JEEP DOES NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY. STILL HAS OTHER ISSUES STATED IN OTHER COMPLAINT; GRINDING, LURCHING. THIS CAR IS A FAIL. FILED A LEMON CLAIM THAT WAS IGNORED AND AM ABOUT TO RE FILE FOR ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS OCCURRING. I CAN'T USE CRUISE CONTROL BECAUSE THE RPMS GET WAAAY TOO HIGH FOR ME TO TRUST. THE HILLS BETWEEN PAYSON AZ AND SHOW LOW AZ ARE TOO MUCH FOR THE COMPUTER TO MANAGE, I'M WORRIED THE ENGINE WILL BLOW. AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHEN I WAS REAR ENDED. NOW I KNOW WHY. THEY ARE RECALLED. THIS IS A DEATH TRAP I AM PAYING 32K FOR, AND I AM LIVID. I WILL NEVER BUY JEEP AGAIN.
BRAND NEW JEEP RAIL HAWK 34 MILES AT TIME OF PURCHASE 410 MILES KNOCK SENSOR AND CHECK ENGINE 1812 MILES ETC AND MAP SENSOR 2325 MILES ETC THE LAST TWO TIMES LOST ALL THROTTLE AND NO POWER GOING UP VAIL PASS IN CO. ALMOST REAR ENDED BY A SEMI AND HAD TO PULL OVER ON THE SHOULDER, LIMP MODE.

I'VE CAPTURED DATES AND TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED AND IT'S FREQUENT - SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK. ONE TIME I LOST POWER STEERING AND SPEEDOMETER. DEALERSHIP SAID 24 CODES WENT OFF. COULDN'T T FIND PROBLEM. REBOOTED COMPUTER AND SAID THAT IT WAS FINE. IT ISN'T FINE.
FIRST INCIDENT TOOK PLACE YESTERDAY WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO STOP. THE CAR DIED AND I LOST POWER STEERING AND EVERYTHING WENT BLANK. I SAT FOR 10 MINUTES DUE TO NOT STARTING UP. IT SOUNDED LIKE A GRINDING NOISE WHEN I WENT TO TURN IT OVER. AFTER STARTING IT BACK I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY STATED IT WAS A RECALL AND IT WAS FIXED. WELL THIS MORNING I WENT TO SLOW DOWN AT A STOP SIGN WHEN I WENT TO ACCELERATE THE CAR DIED, I WAS STUCK IN 4 LANES OF TRAFFIC. I FINALLY GOT THE CAR RESTARTED AND TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY STATED THAT THEY CHANGED MY OIL AND COULD TELL THAT IN LOOKING INTO THE ISSUE THAT'S WHAT IT IS. THEY ARE GOING TO KEEP THE CAR OVER THE WEEKEND AND LET ME KNOW. HOWEVER MY FRIEND HAS THE SAME 2019 AND HER CAR...
AT ABOUT 1200 MILES, DASHBOARD LIT UP, CAR STALLED AND NEEDED TO BE TOWED. DEALER CHANGED BATTERY. BRINGING HOME FORM DEALER, HAPPENED AGAIN. DEALER HAD IT TWO WEEKS. PICKED IT UP AND AT 1600 MILES, HAPPENED AGAIN. DEALER HAD IT THREE WEEKS AND CHANGED OUT COMPUTER. PICKED IT UP AND NEXT MORNING DASHBOARD LIT UP. STOPPED CAR BEFORE IT COULD STALL, AND HAD IT TOWED TO DEALER. AFTER TWO WEEKS I PICKED IT UP. I DON'T WANT TO DRIVE IT. 4 TIMES IN FOR THE SAME ISSUE, AND OVER 45 DAYS IN THE DEALER. DASHBOARD WARNING LIGHTS: AIRBAG, BRAKING, PARK ASSIST, ELECTRONIC STABILITY, BATTERY, LANE WARNING, ETC. IF THERE ARE WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH, IT LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE. ALL ISSUED HAPPENED WHILE THE AUTO WAS IN MOTION
RENTED VEHICLE 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE GOING OUT OF TOWN. ON MY WAY TO HOUSTON. ON AN EXIT ON MY WAY TO PUT GAS TOOK THE EXIT AND THE JEEP COULD NOT BRAKE WAS WITH MY TWO KIDS. I TRIED TO BRAKE TRUCK DIDNT STOP ENDED UP FLIPPING OVER IN A DITCH. SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT. BROKEN ANKLE IMMEDIATE SUGERY PLATE 10 SCREWS. BROKEN FEMUR BONE. BROKEN RIBS. MY SON WAS AIRLIFTED TO SAN ANTONIO AND DAUGHTER IN ICU. TERRIBLE ACCIDENT I THANK GOD FOR GIVING US ANOTHER CHANCE. THE JEEP CHEROKEE BRAKES DID NOT WORK AND IT STALL IT COULDNT STOP AT ALL. IM AFRAID OF DRIVING MY LIFE HAS CHANGE DRAMATICALLY. ALSO MY SEATBELT GOT LOCKED I COULD HAVE DIED THEY HAD TO CUT IT W/ A KNIFE. AS I AM DRIVING THE BATTERY LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CAR STARTS TO STALL AND I AM PROMPTED TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AS THE D IS BLINKING AS IS THE BATTERY LIGHT. I HAVE TO TURN MY CAR OFF THEN BACK ON AND IT TAKES A MINUTE TO TURN ON THEN IT GOES. MY BATTERY IS AT ITS HALFWAY MARK PER THE VEHICLE INFO ON THE CAR. THEN WHEN I TURN CORNERS MY CAR BEEPS AND THE SPEEDOMETER WORD APPEARS ABOVE THE SPEED.
FOR THE THIRD TIME, THE VEHICLE HAS LOST POWER AT HIGHWAY SPEED. IT STARTS COASTING AND THE MOTOR RUNS BUT DEPRESSING THE GAS PEDAL HAS NO EFFECT. THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED, WE WERE ON A CURVING MOUNTAIN ROAD AND ALMOST GOT RUN OVER BY AN 18 WHEELER. THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED AND THE DEALER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX. THIS HAS TO STOP, BRAND NEW CAR STALLING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. EACH TIME WE WERE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. MULTIPLE LIGHTS COME ON THE DASHBOARD, SEE ATTACHED PHOTO.
THE VEHICLE'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. THE UCONNECT SCREEN FADES IN AND OUT TO TOTAL BLACKNESS. YOU CANNOT READ ANYTHING. THERE IS NO WAY TO CHANGE ANY OF THE SETTINGS. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF, START IT AGAIN TO GET THE SCREEN TO COME ON. IT IS DANGEROUS WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING AND HAVE TO GUESS WHAT IS HAPPENING ON THE SCREEN. THE RADIO DOES NOT WORK RIGHT. I START THE CAR AND IT EITHER COMES ON FULL BLAST VOLUME, AND THEN FADES OUT TO NO SOUND, OR IT JUST HAS NO SOUND AT ALL. I FOLLOWED THE OWNER'S MANUAL TO RESET THE UCONNECT SYSTEM USING THE UCONNECT MENU RESET BUTTON. THAT DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I CANNOT TRUST THE CAR OR THE SCREEN IN THE UCONNECT SYSTEM. THE SECOND ISSUE AND IT IS A BIG ONE! THE CAR STALLS WHEN YOU STEP ON THE ACCELERATOR! I...
WHILE I AM IN MOVEMENT DRIVING MY VEHICLE. WITHOUT ANY WARNING LIGHTS POPPING UP IN MY DASHBOARD. MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY STOPS. IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN THE HIGHWAY AND A SEMI TRUCK WAS DRIVING BEHIND ME. IT WAS STILL RUNNING, NO SMOKE OR ANYTHING COMING OUT OF THE HOOD. I DID NOTICED THAT THE HEATER FELT EXTREMELY HOT MORE THAN NORMAL WHICH IT ALSO MADE ME PANIC A BIT. SHE SHIFT GEAR I WASN'T ABLE YO MOVE IT AT ALL. THEY HAD ADVISED ME AT...
VEHICLE ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AT AROUND 20-30MPH (STALLED OUT) AND FLASHED THE BATTERY LIGHT. HOWEVER, AFTER COMING TO A STOP AND PUTTING THE CAR INTO PARK, THE CAR STARTED BACK UP AND RESUMED NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. AND THE BATTERY LIGHT DISSAPEARED. THE CAR REGULARLY STALLS WHEN IDLING AFTER COMING TO A STOP. THE RPMS WILL FALL TO ZERO, AND REMAIN THERE UNTIL I PRESS THE GAS; AT WHICH TIME, THE CAR RESUMES A NORMAL IDLE AND I CAN CONTINUE DRIVING. THIS PROCESS DOESN'T SEEM TO BE AN ENERGY SAVING FEATURE. IF SO, IT IS HIGHLY ERRATIC AND UNPREDICTABLE.
VEHICLE LOCKS UP AND COMPLETELY DIES WHILE BEING DRIVEN AT HIGH SPEEDS. STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP. MUST COME TO A STOP TO PUT IN PARK AND RESTART CAR.
THE FIRST TIME I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR WAS A FEW DAYS AFTER I RECEIVED IT IN DEC 2018. POWER STEERING WENT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT. THE DEALERSHIP WAS CLOSED SO I DID NOT BRING IT INTO THE DEALER UNTIL TWO DAYS AGO. SINCE THE CAR STARTED UP AND SHOWED NO BATTERY ICON OR DISPLAY MESSAGE, THEY COULD NOT FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. THEY TESTED FOR CODES BUT TO NO AVAIL. I PICKED IT UP YESTERDAY. I DECIDED TO DRIVE THE CAR TODAY AND SURE ENOUGH THE DISPLAY TURNED DARK WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE ENGINE LIGHT, BATTERY ICON, POWER LIGHT WENT ON. IT STALLED ON THE HIGHWAY AND I COASTED TO THE DUDE OF THE ROAD. I HAD TO BE TOWED BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT MOVE WHEN IN DRIVE. THE DEALER IS INVESTIGATING IT NOW

BRAND NEW CAR WITH 12 MILES ON IT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON, WILL NOT GO OVER 27 MPH ON HWY. WHEN TRY TO FILL WITH GAS IT FLUSHES BACK OUT THE TANK. ALREADY SERVICED FOR INTERNAL BRAKE SWITCH FAILURE. AFTER PICKED UP, RAN FINE FOR 48 HOURS THEN ABS WARNING LIGHT CAME ON , A W/EXCLAMATION POINT LIGHT CAME ON AND MESSAGE SAYING..."SERVICE STABILITY CONTROL" NOW JEEP IS BACK IN SHOP. DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN IT AT ALL.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW AND NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER IT WAS THROWING EVERY SINGLE CODE POSSIBLE. TRIED TO DRIVE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP BUT IT DIED 17 TIMES INCLUDING IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC.. EVERY WARNING LIGHT WAS ON SAYING SERVICE SOMETHING DIFFERENT EVERYTIME. AFTER HAVING IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH EXACTLY 300 MILES ON IT THEY PRINTED A SHEET WITH 35+ CODES THAT THE CAR WAS SHOWING. ITS BEEN OVER A WEEK AND AFTER CHECKING IN THEY SAID THEY HAVE NO IDEA HOW/IF IT CAN BE FIXED. AT THIS POINT EVEN IF IT CAN BE FIXED WHATS TO SAY IT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN. ITS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE!!
