Took my car for recall last week. Dealership isn't helping me. Spend so much money to fix something that's defecting parts of my engine. But dealership is ignoring me.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the traction control, ABS, check engine, and several other unknown warning lights were illuminated. Additionally, the Forward Collision Avoidance: Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure, and Collision Mitigation Braking system features were inoperable. The vehicle also experienced a loss of motive power while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the head gasket needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 106,000.
Car would shake in the morning would wait till warmed. Immediately brought to Honda where I had a diagnostic completed approx. 9/3. Reports says head gasket. Car well taking care (maintenance) no reason for blown head gasket. Got a second opinion They had the car for a week. No warning lights, and did another diagnostic and nothing showed at the time. Brought the car home. After a few months waiting for warning sign or other signs it took a couple of few months for the engine light to come on and it slowed down and came to a stop. Had car towed to Honda. Called Honda corporate. After finding out they weren't going to cover the cost of $5000+ knowing this has absolutely nothing to do with the customer being negligent with car. I can not afford that kind of money and had it towed to the same mechanic where...
I have 2018 Honda accord which has been recall About 3 weeks my car my car start skipping, when I was driving it so the 12/18/23 all the lights came on and the car started jerking around so I took it to the dealer and they told me found crack in spark plug They replaced the spark plugs adjusted the valve The car started jerking again on 12/25 /23 I took it to the dealer they told me the head is cracked and the spark plug is cracked different cylinder The brake and ACC radar light is still on and needs to be replace I send you all the invoices and work needs to be done to the Honda Corporation! But they are refusing to do their job and help me This happens to my car because of the The fuel pump issue with this year model I hold you...
Fuel pump or injector has malfunctioned. It is has already been inspected by a Honda dealer. Safety at risk because there was a recall on the fuel system of Hondas in 2020. I purchased this vehicle in 2021 and was not made aware. The vehicle could stall and cause an accident. No other problem currently reported on the vehicle. I was just sitting in a parking space when the engine light came on.
The vehicle has been giving a check engine light and a litany of other warning lights including: electric power steering system problem, brake system problem, forward collision mitigation braking system problem, tire pressure monitoring system problem, adaptive cruise control system problem, traction control system problem. This issue happened intermittently at first including the warning lights, then constantly beginning about 3 weeks ago. The check engine light produced a P0304 code indicating a misfire on cylinder 4. The vehicle on cold start would idle rough indicating the misfire and idle at a higher RPM than normal. The vehicle would return to idling normally after approximately 15 minutes of warming up however all the lights would stay on. The vehicle felt like it was down on power, was running rough, and could go into limp mode at any time while the issue was present and significantly reduced the driveability and all of...
Began getting several alerts, when taken in to get a diagnosis I received the following error codes P0301, P0304, P0301, P0300, U0401-68 & U3003-16. These codes stated that I had Cylinder 1 Misfire, Cylinder 4 Misfire as well as Random Misfire and ECM Failure and Electric Parking Brake Control Unit Power Source Circuit Low Voltage. The misfires were taken care of with new ignition coils and spark plugs; however, 2 days later alerts came back on at that point replaced battery. A few days after that the alerts again came back on. The dealership has not helped me out much simply saying I am no longer under warranty. However, I feel this vehicle is unsafe to drive as sometimes it feels as if it is just going to shut off. Therefore, this can possibly cause an accident injuring either. Others or myself.
All warning lights came on and I took the car to get checked out. Head gasket is damaged. Honda dealership has performed all service on vehicle. Gasket shows signs of premature deterioration. Very expensive repair for a know problem. This should be a recall item as there are numerous complaints with this model.
I was driving on the freeway in Houston, TX going 65 mph in the middle lane and my engine begin to lose power, and start stalling. Almost causing me to wreck with my 8 yr old son in the back seat. I was advised by my the dealership that Honda has a recall on fuel pumpt with my year and model. I contacted Honda and was advised my car is the year and model of the fuel pump recall, but it wasn’t effective by it. I feel that’s very strange my car didn’t apply to the recall, but it’s doing the same thing other owners car doing with the faulty fuel pump recall. I am terrified by the incident and it has cause me so much anxiety and stress. I look to get my car repaired due to the recall and Honda isn’t being helpful after myself and child almost...
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 60-65 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The check engine warning light and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to veer to the side of the roadway. The contact restarted the vehicle and drove to the residence. Additionally, the contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the vehicle was running rough and was shuddering, and the RPM failed to exceed 2,000 RPM while driving. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the fuel injectors were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump had malfunctioned. The contact was referred to the dealer for recall repair of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V314000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the dealer informed the contact that the...
while driving in highway, all dash light slit up like a Christmas Tree and vehicle lost power. I was not able to go over 30 mph and was in danger of being rear ended on freeway. I was able to pull over to safety and turn vehicle off. Upon restarting the vehicle, I was able to make it back home. This has happened on 3-4 diff occasions. Honda is not accepting responsibility. They continuously refer me to Honda dealer to be ripped off for a diagnostic. There are several forums online complaining about the same issue. My battery and alternator is good. Please help and hold Honda accountable to their negligence in the build of these vehicles.
I have been dealing with the check engine light codes p0172c & p219c. Honda inspected my vehicle and said the problem is that my car is running too rich and the fuel injectors are bad but they say i cant really do anything because the fuel injectors are on backorder but really they are discontinued and they are unsure when theyll comeback. Im concerned for my safety and for others on the road because the p219c code is commonly associated with a leaky head gasket, and after speaking to several third party mechanics theyve all said they have been getting others with the same problem and the fuel injector isnt the actual problem, its the head gasket. which means unfortunately my head gasket could blow any moment im driving my car which i NEED to do because i NEED to work. I travel at least 40 miles a day in...
When I am driving, the car turns off in the middle of the road and this warning message appears: Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem See Your Dealer. I took it to the dealer. They changed the battery, but the problem still occurs. This is dangerous because the car cut off in the middle of the road where you can get rear ended.
Out of the blue car was having a glitch on the screen when turning on the vechical. The battery died and was replaced. Once battery was replaced engine light and brake like will turn on and off. After battery was replaced the engine light turned on and started to read that ignition and sparks plugs are bad. I have spoke to about 50 people with the same car and they are having the same issues and the mechanics do not know what is wrong
My car is 5 years old with 72,000 miles and it now need a new head gasket. Mechanic said Honda is aware of this issue on this model car but my warranty is expired and this is costly fix for something the company is well aware of.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, there was white colored smoke coming from the passenger’s side of the engine. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the contact was provided a loaner vehicle. A diagnostic test was performed, and the contact was informed that the head gasket was blown. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.
To whom it might concern, I have a Honda accord 2018 sport trim. The AC stopped working. This is part of the engine and should be a recall since it’s stopping to work for all Honda accords 2018 and new newer models.
MY CAR KEEPS SLOWING DOWN ON ME WHILE DRIVING AND THAS DANGEROUS I HAVE TWO KIDS!! MY CAR WILL NOT Accelerate ONCE IT SLOWS DOWN . MY CAR ENGINE LIGHTS KEEPS BLINKING. ALL MY LIGHTS BEEN ON MY CAR FOR A YEAR AND THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED IT NEEDS TO B W RECALL OM THESE CARS BEFORE HONDA HAVE W LAWSUIT WITH THESE CARS TO MANY PEOPLE HAVING THESE PROBLEMS. The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle started driving abnormally. The vehicle was not drivable. The contact towed the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the head gasket and the engine to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 123,000.
Blown head gasket diagnosed at 112k ‘miles on 2018 Honda Accord many in doing research general repair on this specific accord 1.5t happens around 100-113k miles when a head gasket should last the life time off a vehicle roughly 200k I have a 1997 accord with 300k and still no head gasket issues I got this Honda due to the fact it should last a while
There has been a series of constant issues with this model and each issue has been brought to a certified Honda dealership and was supposedly "fixed" engine code P0300 (random/multiple cylinder misfire),P2651 B rocker arm Actuator system, P0087 Fuel Rail/system pressure, P0304,P0303 cylinder 3 and 4 misfire, engine temperature always above normal. These issues on multiple situations has put my safety and the safety of others at the highest risk. The motor vehicle due to these issues randomly would lose power to the point where stepping on the gas doesn't not accelerate the car, forcing me to stop in the middle of the highway having other vehicles stop suddenly and swerve around me with children in the vehicle. Another occasion going up a hill the car beings to stutter losing power resulting to the car shutting off, forcing me engage These reoccurring issues have also randomly caused the vehicle to...
I have taken my Honda because of engine misfiring. They said there is coolant seeping in the pistons and we red a new engine gasket and the cost is $4,000. All the warning lights are turning on and alerting the driver but when I took it in and paid $380 they can’t figure out why these are turning on. The fuel injectors and belt are another item that has been alerted to being an issue. These are problems my 20 year old car has not encountered and this is a 2018. The airbags warning has been an issue at least once every few months.
I've filed the specific issues in other complaints, but also wanted to input this for a record. After taking the card to the dealer, the dealer DID NOT address any of the following: Right door speaker rattle Engine squeak (when shutting off) Hood vibration Did not troubleshoot the smell coming from the ventilation system. Did not apply the fix (if there was one) for the infotainment unit restarting abruptly. Did not look at as to why the display shows 100mph speed limit when there is no such thing in the the state of Colorado (that I know of and certainly not where I was driving when this happened). Did not look at why the aux display has issues Did not look at Bluetooth connectivity issues. Did not look at problems with radar and the CMBS system. Of course, the usual response is "we drove it for an hour (if that)...
When the engine is shut down, there is a squeak (have not been able to pinpoint the source). However, prior history on the vehicle considered, wanted to make a record. The vehicle has always had a burning smell to it and, at one point, a dealer's mechanic did replace the head gasket, claiming that was the source of the burning smell. However, the burning smell still persists and I've been wondering if something more serious is going on (as one mechanic did say, there is a possibility of the turbo burning oil due to some defect). Hence, the squeak is suspicious due to that.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at 75 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. Additionally, the vehicle consumed an excessive amount of coolant, causing the vehicle to overheat. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The safety features were inadvertently disabled. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the fuel injectors were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
Fuel Injectors, head gasket, cooling system
The contact’s wife owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that on numerous occasions while he or his wife was driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that he was able to maneuver the vehicle off the road however, he had to wait several minutes to restart the vehicle. The check engine warning light was illuminated followed by several unknown warning lights being intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to several unknown dealers however, the cause of the failure could not be determined or duplicated. The failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V314000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.
I have a 2018 Honda Accord Sport 2.0t 6MT. The car is up to date on recalls (BCM and backup camera update were completed). The car had been sitting in the garage for the last day and a half. I took a 7 mile round trip in light rain to Lowe’s. On the way back, I was on a service road going about 50mph, downshifted into 3rd gear and hit the gas. The tires slipped a little and the car went into limp mode. The car immediately started decelerating and the check engine light started flashing. The throttle barely accepted any input. I drove it home slowly in limp mode. I had to let several cars pass me. At home I turned the car off and back on and the car was perfectly normal. Limp mode was gone. Nobody's safety was severely at risk during this incident but if this...
Engine misfire causing limp mode. Dealer says head gasket blown. When misfire happens, all driver safety system warnings display. Car goes into limp mode which is dangerous if on high speed road. First appeared Oct-10-2022 with 59k miles on vehicle. Second appeared Nov-29-2022 with 60,300 miles on vehicle. Honda refuses to cover expense of replaceing head gasket and determining root cause.
Cylinder 2 misfire with check check engine light on and limp mode activated. Dealer diagnosis revealed a blown head gasket at 95,000 miles with coolant leaking into cylinder # 2 & 3. Vehicle always serviced on time and at purchasing dealer with no mods to vehicle.
One day all the car warning lights came on. After I backed out of the driveway, I placed the car in drive and tried to accelerate. When I stepped on the gas pedal the car barely accelerated. It barely moved. I turned of the engine and turned it back on again and the car was ok again, but this keeps happening from time to time. I've had the car checked a few times, but mechanics weren't sure what's wrong with the car. They keep getting a misfire code on number one, but after checking the spark plugs they said nothing is wrong with the spark plugs.
I purchase my 2018 Honda Accord 1.5l Touring as a second owner from a Honda dealership when it had one previous owner and only 14,000 miles on it. Since the day I drove away the vehicle would shake slightly for a few seconds upon a cold start up. I really didn't think much of it at first because I have never had a Honda and it quickly would stop. Fast Forward about 14 days Lateran I was getting on the highway and when I went to move from the on ramp into a lane the car suddenly went into limp mode and every light on the dashboard came on. I was almost killed by a semi truck no joke. I then had it towed to the dealership and they called me literally one hour after they opened and said it was just because my tail light was getting water (this...
You lose power while driving than it stalls to about 20 mph Emmission warning lights come on. After cool down the car will drive normal speed again for a short time before it repeats itself driving 20 mph with emission warning light coming on. It is a very hazardous condition and dealerships can’t figure anything out. We have spent 1600.00 on fuel ejectors And car still doing the same thing. Next morning my husband drive it to work and was put in a hazardous condition.
2018 Accord Sport 1.5T - got a tune-up at around 98,000 miles. 1 month later, car went into 'limp' mode while trying to accelerate. Check engine code indicated misfire on cylinder 3. Had to have it towed - dealer found it also misfiring on cylinder 4 and determined it was a defective spark plug since they had just replaced all of them. 1 month later, did the same thing. Took it to a different dealer and they put a camera into each cylinder and found that cylinder 3 and to a lesser extent cylinder 4 were dirty. They are saying that head gasket is leaking coolant into the cylinders and recommending cylinder head replacement. This poses a safety issue as it is dangerous if the car won't accelerate when you expect that it should. Standard internet search indicates that this seems to be a fairly common issue with this particular...
I have a 2018 Honda Accord 2.0. Twice it left me stranded on the side of the road due to a failing fuel pump. the first time it kicked back on after an hour and all the lights turned off so they said a diagnostic cannot be performed. The second time I was driving in the middle of the road and the engine cut off and would not start, luckily I had some space to pull over but I was still in traffic and I called a tow truck. It took 6 1/2 hours to finally get it to the Honda dealership and they told me my fuel pump had failed and there is a recall for 2018 2.0s but not my specific Vin so I have to cover the cost. It’s $1055 plus taxes even though there’s an active recall for other 2018 2.0‘s but not my exact vehicle....
at approximately 30,000 the air conditioning began blowing warm air.
Engine light started blinking and engine started missing and lost power while on highway
The A/C system in the car blows hot air and since I have purchased the car in 2018 I had to replace the condensor three times. When the A/C is not working the car get very hot in the auto cabin. The car is almost undrivable.
On 6/6/22 the car had multiple Alarms came on the dashboard (break sys prob, emission prob, road dept mit, collision mit, break sys prot, aac sys prob, hill start asst prob, break performance prob). I called Honda Valley Stream informing them of the above. Got appt 6/8 I was told I would need to leave the car on 6/8 appt. On 6/8 approx 4pm rec a call from them to come get the car. Alarms only needed to be reset and rear camera recall was done. Next day all the alarms plus a few other returned. I went back and forth with Manger. I left the car Sat 6/11.Told it was injection fluid that's covered under warranty. Then later the manager called that it was CO2 built up and $413 to clean and take care of the problem. I paid for it and picked up the car. 6/15 during the day I noticed a problem with...
The air conditioning stopped blowing cool air. It will only blow warm/hot air despite being on the lowest setting.
My fuel or engine is having issues. I took it in and they told me my fuel pump needed to be replaced and my injectors were bad. This is an active recall on some this car but not my VIN number... My car has stalled out many times while driving forcing me to pull over and restart my car. I think my VIN needs to be recalled also since this is clearly the same issue.
Driving in moderate to heavy rain in Ozarks. Car in front. Accelerated hard (under turbo boost) and pulled in left lane to pass. As soon as I got next to car in right lane, my car automatically braked very hard. It then released brake. All kinds of warning lights went off, engine outline (misfire) light was on. Car was in some kind of limp mode. Slowed considerably. Could barely accelerate. Proceeded to drive in this mode at approximately 50 mph for one mile until spot to pull over. Pulled over and shut car off for 30 second. Restarted car and everything was normal. Returned home within one week (400 miles) Checked trouble codes, none present.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at 30 MPH, the vehicle stalled inadvertently. The Collision Mitigation Braking System, check engine, Lane Departure, brake warning lights and other unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle after several attempts and continued to drive. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the spark plugs needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the spark plugs were replaced; however, the warnings illuminated while driving hours later. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the injectors had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under an unknown extended warranty as the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.
Our AC system stops blow cold air. After doing some research, a lot of Honda owners have AC problems. Most likely the cause could possible be AC compressor, or condenser which can cost 2000 or more to replace. Our car is most latest model 2018 Honda Accord and AC has stopped working. This should have been a call so we don't have to pay dealers to fix AC issue. Please contact Honda corporation and help us resolving this AC as warm and hot days are approach in California. It is terrible that this AC can happen to new cars.
Vehicle suddenly stopped turning over, replaced battery incase it wasn’t enough. Vehicle had a little under a quarter tank of gas so added another gallon or two and that brought it up to 1/2 a tank. Vehicle turned on once rough then smoothed out and then shut off in the road 10 minutes later. There are recalls for this exact problem with other Honda Accords my year but my vin did not qualify in the listing.Car belongs to grandmother Diana evans my name is Quinten and I am currently using my friends phone because mine is broken and she has been helping me with the vehicle.
When accelerating my vehicle it does not pick up speed as it should and there is a humming noise when doing so.
On 3 separate occasions my Honda Accord 1.5T has lost power while driving in traffic. All of the warning lights came on, and I could not go over 10 mph. Fortunately i was able to turn onto a side street each time. I turned off the the engine and after a few minutes restarted...only once was I able to regain power and drive home with normal power. My car went to the dealership each time, and they have told me they cannot duplicate the issue. And now the dealership has had my vehicle for almost 2 months. The service agent said he has never seen anything like it, and when I mentioned specific articles about the turbocharged 1.5 engine online, he discounted them saying, "anyone can write stuff on the internet". Honda dealership and Honda Corporate has no solutions, other than just live with it. A car slowing down in...
I was on a very busy interstate highway during a rainstorm going between 60 and 70 MPH. I was in the left lane when the check engine light came on and it went into limp home mode and my speed was immediately reduced in heavy traffic. I was lucky enough to move to the slow lane and then to the break down lane and get to an exit. I pulled in at an area I could shut the car off. I let it sit for about 15 minutes and started the car and the check engine light was off and everything has been normal since then. This was extremely dangerous . The speed dropped below 40 very suddenly and then 30 and then 20 on an interstate. The next day I went to the local Honda dealer and described what had happened and they said they had seen this happen...
