Over the past several years, there have been multiple instances where I or my wife are driving on the highway and the engine light comes on or starts flashing, and I am unable to go faster than 50 miles an hour, and the engine itself feels to be underpowered. We have taken it to the dealership for repair at least five times over the past five years and in each case they have attempted to do a repair and said the issue has been resolved, but the issue continue. At at least one of those visits, they have diagnosed the issue as an engine misfire issue. The issue has intensified from the initial symptoms, (which were as I described, but resolved by turning the car off, waiting 30 seconds to a minute and then turning the car on again) to how it is now: in addition to the check engine...
My supplemental restraint system problem keeps appearing on my dash at random times, sometimes will go away then sometimes will stay for over a year. I have heard this is ongoing and Honda has not issued a recall.
Tachometer/speedometer screen completely black or dark. It will show the Honda logo and make sound. But once I’m driving or once the car is started it doesn’t show any rpm’s or the menu for miles, safety information or anything on that screen.
I am submitting this as a formal and urgent complaint regarding serious safety issues with a vehicle I recently purchased. The trunk opens on its own while I am driving, which creates an immediate safety hazard. In addition, the backup camera is malfunctioning, further increasing the risk when reversing or parking. Shortly after reporting the trunk issue, the radio also stopped working. I have contacted the dealership regarding these concerns, but no corrective action has been taken. Given that this vehicle was recently purchased and involves active safety risks, this lack of response is unacceptable. I am requesting immediate inspection and repair of these issues, as well as written confirmation of how the dealership plans to resolve this matter promptly. Please consider this issue urgent due to the safety risks involved. I look forward to your immediate response.
The car will have all lights on dashboard showing, car has been taken multiple times to dealership and nothing seems to be wrong but this cause all safety features to malfunction. I have talked with other Honda owners, on forums and acquaintances and they have similar issues.
Honda needs to recall all the newer vehicles starting with 2018 to 2024. All lights on the dashboard is on and while I’m on highway, the car would apply the brake itself and when I released my foot from the pedal, the car run smoothly again. I took the car to Honda dealership last year and I was charged over 1500 dollars, still the car is having the same issue. This is frustrating. Today, the car is showing the camera like I was trying to back up, even though the car was on drive mode. Unbelievable.
While driving, the power steering warning came on and the steering wheel became extremely tight, making it very difficult to turn. This has happened more than once, most recently on December 8, 2025. The loss of steering assist occurred while the vehicle was in motion and created a serious safety concern. The dealership retrieved diagnostic code C1250-52, which indicates an internal malfunction of the electric brake booster ECU. The steering issue and warning occurred again after the initial diagnosis. The system appears to fail intermittently and without warning. I have owned multiple Honda Accord vehicles over the years and have never experienced anything like this. Sudden loss of steering assist while driving is a safety defect, and similar issues have been reported by other owners of 2018–2022 Honda Accord models.
All my warning lights keep coming on in dashboard and my car isn’t accelerating in cold weather after sitting overnight
Car has lost power or gone into "limp mode" while driving on multiple occasions. Car was never listed under the fuel pump recall but had all associated symptoms & problems. Had to have fuel pumps replaced in December 2023 due to car not starting because of faulty fuel pumps. Car has been properly maintenced since purchased brand new in February 2018. currently around 121,000 miles. Car overheated this past summer, Coolant seems to be leaking somewhere as just filled with coolant month ago and needed to refill with about quarter to refill to correct amount. Oil also seems to be having slow leakage problem somewhere within the engine as there is excessive oil on drip pan. Had all 4 spark plugs changed in March of 2025. Car has been going into limp mode and looses power for few seconds to minutes sometimes, almost causing multiple accidents while driving on highways....
I was driving in my car cut off in the middle of the highway. I was able to coast to side of the road. I took my car to the Honda accord dealership after that and was told it was my head gasket. After that repair, my car cut off once again. I took it back to Honda and was told that I now needed to replace the turbo charger which I’m unable to pay for after paying several thousands of dollar for the head gasket.
Emission system, low acceleration to the point it becomes a safety hazard in the freeway, I almost got rear ended twice, the car jolts, it stops out of no where, head gasket issues at only 65k. Maintenance was kept up but there’s a Facebook group called Honda sport 2018 to 22 on these models of the same issue “Christmas tree lights”
Door locks alternate not locking/unlocking with either the door buttons or key fob buttons (battery is good). Available for inspection. Vehicle has not been inspected. No warnings prior. This has happened on and off for about 2 years and now seems like it’s 24/7 a thing with multiple doors at a time now.
My vehicle is losing power while traveling on the road. All of the system lights are flashing and the gas mileage is ridiculous. It sputters uncontrollably and just stalls out and drops speed really quick. I’m really concerned for my well being. I’ve spent so much money trying to fix these issues and I don’t think it’s fair to me or any other Honda owner to have to be held responsible for something that is clearly a manufacturing issue. Although there was not a crash during this incident, it’s very dangerous and I’m terrified to drive my car but I have no other transportation right now.
While accelerating car jerks at times. At time car will go in limp mode I’ll have to safely try to get to side of road turn car off. Restart and continue driving. I’ve changed spark plugs, coil packs, turbo, fuel injectors, fuel pump and battery. I continue to put money into my car and nothing helps.
Car has been giving me issues with the check light engine. They changed spark plugs and the head gasket and still giving me issues.
headgasket blew at 73k miles out of nowhere no check engine light no smoke no warning nothing car was taken care of its whole life car locked up during headgasket failure almost causing accident on road near house called Honda to explain the mishap they were snotty and acted like they didnt care wouldn't provide repair for free or even ask me if I was ok or if I needed help. I am a part of a 1oth generation honda group on Facebook and there are alot of us who should be helpedfor this very dangerous and random mishap
I own a 2018 Honda Accord Sport. About 2–3 months ago, the car began having repeated engine misfires (P0301), hesitation, and stalling while driving. At the same time, multiple dashboard warnings appear, including Steering Assist Reduced, Brake System Problem, Collision Mitigation Braking System Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control System Problem, Emission System Problem, and Hill Start Assist Problem, these failures occur suddenly while the vehicle is in motion, creating a serious risk of loss of engine power, reduced braking performance, loss of steering assist, and disabled crash-avoidance systems. I have already performed extensive maintenance: new ignition coils, a full tune-up, compression test, spark test, and battery/alternator check, yet the issues remain. Diagnostic scans also showed U0416-68 (invalid data from ABS/VSA module) in addition to the misfire. This suggests not only a fuel/propulsion defect but also a possible computer/control module failure that links engine, brakes, steering, and ADAS systems. These conditions match...
Recently bought this car a month ago. I started having problems with acceleration, as if the car was “bucking” every time i would press the gas normally at a red light or stop sign, accelerating from a stop. The vehicle wouldn’t make it up a hill while accelerating it was very hard bucking. I tried pressing the gas a little harder and the check engine light flashed and the car went into limp mode so i had to pull over. Made it back home and i was driving normally and every light you can imagine came up on the dash. I’ve heard from many others with the accord they’ve had the same problems but once they get it fixed the problems keep happening or the vehicle blows up. I just paid full in cash for this car and my total is fix it is already at 5k to fix.
When gas gets low, all the warnings come up on the dash and LKAS turns off. Unable to use any features.
While trying to accelerate the car loses power. This has happened many times. The Honda dealership has said the system is on back order and they will call me when it’s available. It’s been months. The “jerks”a few times then the check engine light comes on then the car loses power. The dashboard lights are brake system, emission system, electric power steering, hill assist and ACC system problem.
- Year: 2018 - Make: Honda - Model: Accord Sport 1.5 Turbo - Vehicle Identification Number : [XXX] I am writing to report a safety concern with my 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5 Turbo. The vehicle has developed a head gasket problem, which has resulted in significant engine issues. Additionally, I have experienced fuel injector problems, leading to decreased fuel efficiency and rough engine performance. Despite following the recommended maintenance schedule and addressing the issues with the dealer, the problems persist. I have been quoted $7,800 for repairs, which is unacceptable given the vehicle's age and mileage (currently 114,848 miles). I am concerned about the safety and reliability of the vehicle, especially when driving on the highway. The vehicle's blown head gasket has caused ¹: - Loss of power, leading to potential safety issues on the road - Engine hesitation and shutdown while driving, which can increase the risk of...
Condensor leak and compressor not working. Condensor replaced under Honda service bulletin but compressor not holding pressure.
I own a 2018 Honda Accord EX‑L (VIN#: [XXX]). Shortly after a service visit to a Honda dealer for unrelated maintenance (in Sep. 2024 with an estimated 50,000 miles), the dashboard began showing ‘Supplemental Restraint System Problem – See Dealer’. A dealer quoted $400+ to diagnose and replace what appears to be a common passenger airbag indicator sensor failure, a known issue reported by many 2018 Accord owners. I believe Honda should issue a recall due to the safety risk. I’m filing this as a VOQ complaint for ODI’s review and authorize NHTSA to share my identifying info with Honda if needed. Supporting Documentation and numerous examples of complaints from hundreds of Honda Accord owners relating to this problem: - Numerous drivers of 2018 Honda Accords have reported the identical warning (“Supplemental Restraint System Problem – See Dealer”) along with fault code B002013, intermittent dashboard behavior, and inability of dealers...
This car came with problem and i want to this if honda can fix it for free since its they mistake
Head gasket blown
Doesn’t run as it should, all lights and warnings show on the dash
There are 10 warning lights currently on the dash. This is and has been an ongoing issue for over a year. Turning off the car then turning it back on the lights would go away. The car would periodically start to slow on its own while foot was still on the gas pedal which was dangerous in the middle of traffic or going 65 to 70 miles per hour on a highway. December 31, 2024 my car got towed to the Honda Dealership because the car stalled and wouldn't go past 15 miles per hour. Again the dash lit up. It was my understanding that it was because of the latest recall of the fuel pump issue that took over a year to be completed. The recall of the fuel pump was done January 6, 2025which took a week to complete and a week of work I missed with no...
all lights on dash are on at the same time
Dashboard lit up with a lot of lights and stuff
All lights in dash is on took it to honda they playing a guessing game injectors head gasket sensors they really don’t know many people are complaining with the same problems
My 2018 Honda Accord has become unsafe to drive. The car will not go over 15 mph, all the warning lights on the dashboard are on, and the engine and transmission feel shaky. The entire car shakes when I try to drive it, and it seems like multiple systems are failing at once. This happened suddenly and has made the car undriveable. My safety was put at risk because the loss of power happened while I was on the road. The problem has been looked at by my independent mechanic, but it has not been resolved. The vehicle is available for inspection.
The door locks are unresponsive using both the fob and the vehicle controls. The problem started with a rear door not locking or unlocking when the other doors would lock. Eventually all doors became unresponsive. The doors now require me to manually lock each and use my fob key to unlock the driver door and manually unlock each door. I've replaced fuses to try to resolve the issue with no luck. It seems that the door lock actuators failed prematurely.
This is about the 5th time this has happened to the car. All warning lights appeared spontaneously while driving. The lights would turn off if the car was turned off for a long period of time or is we disconnected battery for a long period of time. We have tried to research the problem and no one seems to know what the cause or permanent fix is.
My locks failed and it took several repairs and they are still not working properly. I fear for my safety and the safety of my children. Honda told me sometimes locks just don’t work but that’s not appropriate to me as I paid the extended electric warranty but they cannot fix them. No knowing this will not go all through the life of my vehicle is a big issue.
The contact's wife owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at various speeds, several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that the warning lights were illuminated constantly. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel system was contaminated with water. The contact stated that the dealer replaced the spark plugs and flushed the fuel system; however, the failure recurred while driving. Additionally, the contact stated that the cruise control mode was no longer functional. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer, where the contact was informed that further diagnostic testing was needed to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure, but the contact had not received a call back. The failure mileage was approximately 66,000.
Engine keep going into limp every now and then and it’s pretty dangerous especially while driving on the highway. All the lights would come on the dashboard. On May 2 it almost cause an accident because it happened while I was driving on the freeway and I’ve changed spark plugs, injector my battery and it’s happening
Scanned for codes. Found P0303, P0299, and P2243 stored. Found coolant entering cylinder 3. Found excessive play in the waste gate rod and found A/F sensor is not responding. Needs head gasket. Vehicle starts up and runs rough. All alerts on alerts on dash on cust states check engine light on. Honda sensing alerts on.
The collision mitigation braking system is engaging while I’m driving with no obstructions in front of me. The car slows down completely while I’m on the highway almost coming to a complete stop. This has happened numerous times since Dec 2024. I took it into Honda and they did absolutely nothing besides charge me over $500 for diagnostic fees and told me to get an oem battery and bring it back to be inspected again.
Warning lights come all across the dash stating to see the dealer. I have taken it to the dealership and the issue is the fuel injector that causes the warning lights to go off and on at random. I still have a warranty of my car and was told the warranty does not cover that part. This is happening to a lot of honda accords but there is no recall for it. There is a safety issue for driving because they stay on and then go off and come back on again. This is unfortunate and unacceptable from Honda as a whole. I bought the car in May 2024 and the warning lights came on a week later and have been ever since off and on.
I recently took my car to the dealer because I have multiple messages on my dashboard saying please see dealer dealing with my brake system, electric power steering, vehicle ability assist, collision mitigation system problem, etc the dealers don’t know what’s going on with it. I recently had service done on it because of the recall with the fuel pump and even before that those messages were showing up.
The components and systems that are failing and malfunctioning in my 2018 Honda Accord are the engine, head gasket, fuel, injectors and turbo. While in motion, the car jerks and has issues with acceleration requiring the safety hazard lights to be come on and I’m unable to keep up with marked speed limit while traveling due to the sluggishness of the vehicle. The majority of these issues have been confirmed by a Honda dealership as well as another car shop. There are several warning and safety hazard lights that come on and go off the dashboard. Many times, I have to pull on the side of the road due to not being able to drive this vehicle.
Rear camera is showing a blank screen. Gridlines are visible but that’s it. It’s hard to see to backup so I’m afraid of a collision. There are recalls on other Honda accords but my VIN has not been included for this repair. No other warning lights are on.
The contact owns a 2018 Honda Accord. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated the turn signal lights, the trunk, the Lane Departure, Forward Collision Avoidance, and the LKAS failed to be displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V771000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, BACK OVER PREVENTION, VISIBILITY/WIPER, VISIBILITY, EXTERIOR LIGHTING); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 133,000.
Approx. one year ago, my 2018 Honda Accord LX completely shut down while traveling at 35 mph. The engine light was flashing and I lost all power with only enough to pull over safely on the side of the road, I was terrified and called AAA who came and towed it to a local mechanic. At the time I was unaware of the recall. My mechanic did diagnostic test and found nothing. He explained the car went into "limp mode", indicating there was something wrong. The car started fine and I took it to our local Honda dealer for service. They had the car for 3 days, finding no issues, but explained it could be related to the recall. I was told the parts for the recall were unavailable and I would be notified when they came in. This week it happened again! I just contacted the dealer for status...
My car is having the same issue as the new recall on the 2023-2025 Honda Pilot sport utility vehicles (SUVs), 2022-2025 Acura MDX Type-S SUVs and 2021-2025 with the power loss and my car is stalling. Sometimes when I turn my car on, put it in drive, impress my gas pedal it will not go. I have to cut my car off, wait for about 30 seconds, restart it and then it will go.I took my car to Honda in Tifton Ga and I was told that it was my fuel injector. I was given code P0301 from Langdale Honda in Valdosta ga. I was quoted $1600 to fix this issue which I do not have. I’m currently having this issue and I’m sure it’s many others.
se mantienen encendidas las luces del tablero
Intermittently flash warning lights on panel- all warnings at once. The vehicle maintenance log does not indicate the issues showing on the panel are relevant. It comes and goes, sometimes for weeks. Dealership has been unable to diagnose issue and the recall for similar issue - which has happened on other 2018 Honda accords, not showing as related to my VIN# despite being the same problem as the recall notice.
honda has yet to fix the fuel pump issue after issuing recall on the fuel pump over a year ago. I've been by the Honda dealership numerous times trying to get this recall fixed. Now i am having many issues with my car and i can't even drive it at this point. The Honda dealership told me that I have a cracked head which has caused may other issues. There is known issues with the 2018 Honda accord 1.5t that Honda has to even acknowledge. There wasn't an accident thankfully quick thinking on my behalf. There are many issues that Honda had refused to acknowledge and as single woman living off one check and still paying for my car, recently fired because it's now hard for me to get to work because i do not make enough to uber to work and pay my monthly bill it's caused me many...
Unknown Vehicle continues to display all warning lights on continuous jumping when driving. It took over seven months to obtain parts and took 26 hours to complete service leaving me without a vehicle. The damage received on the vehicle while waiting on parts caused more problems. Replacing the part after seven months of driving has caused my vehicle to deteriorate beyond repair in my opinion. I am requesting compensation or the ability to have a full inspection beyond the initial recalled parts in order to confirm that my vehicle is in proper working condition.
My vehicle will randomly lose power while driving, lights will flash and then car will just stop and turn off. Try to turn car back on and all these lights are flashing and engine light stays on with codes. Taken my car to performance Honda MULTIPLE of times, paid to get it towed, Honda continues to say they don’t know what’s wrong with it. I’ve recorded videos of my car losing power and given them to Honda and they still couldn’t provide any answers after having my vehicle for 6 months on and off. My car continued to do the same thing all over again after Honda ended up putting used spark plugs in my car and I returned my car to Honda again. They replaced fuel pump and I made it 30 minutes home and my car broke down in the middle of an intersection on the highway again...
