- Year: 2018 - Make: Honda - Model: Accord Sport 1.5 Turbo - Vehicle Identification Number : [XXX] I am writing to report a safety concern with my 2018 Honda Accord Sport 1.5 Turbo. The vehicle has developed a head gasket problem, which has resulted in significant engine issues. Additionally, I have experienced fuel injector problems, leading to decreased fuel efficiency and rough engine performance. Despite following the recommended maintenance schedule and addressing the issues with the dealer, the problems persist. I have been quoted $7,800 for repairs, which is unacceptable given the vehicle's age and mileage (currently 114,848 miles). I am concerned about the safety and reliability of the vehicle, especially when driving on the highway. The vehicle's blown head gasket has caused ¹: - Loss of power, leading to potential safety issues on the road - Engine hesitation and shutdown while driving, which can increase the risk of accidents I request that NHTSA investigate this matter further and take necessary actions to address the recurring issues with the 2018 Honda Accord 1.5 Turbo engine.
