'TAKATA RECALL' I WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET APPROX. 40MPH WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN LIGHTS AND SOUNDS ON DASH BOARD WENT OFF STATING SERVICE POWER STEERING AND SERVICE ADVANCE AUTO TRAC AFTER PULLING OVER TURNING THE CAR OFF THEN BACK ON YOU NO LONGER COULD STEER OR DRIVE THE CAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DETERMINED THAT THE FUSE RELAY ASSEMBLY AND WIRING HARNESS FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED ONE OTHER TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,422.
I OWN A 2012 FORD FUSION SE 6 CYLINDER THIS VEHICLE HAS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD. MY PASSENGER SIDE RTAIL LIGHT CONTINUES TO BLOW AND THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT OCCURRED LAST WEEK WHEN I NOTICED A BURNING SMELL. I HAVE BEEN REPLACING THIS TAIL LIGHT EVERY SIX MONTHS FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS AND IT HAS CAUSED MELTING AROUND THE LIGHT SOCKET AND THE BULB IS CLEARLY BURNT. AFTER GOOGLING THIS ISSUE I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE 2012 FORD FUSION AND A RECALL NEEDS TO BE ISSUED IMMEDIATELY OR I AM GOING TO THE PUBLIC. THIS CAN KILL SOMEONE AND START A FIRE ESPECIALLY IF THE BLAZE GETS OUT OF HAND AND CHILDREN ARE IN THE BACKSEAT STRAPPED IN. I HAVE BEEN HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR IN 2012. CURRENTLY, MY HORN DOES NOT WORK AS WELL AS OTHER ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS OF MY CAR. AT THIS TIME, WITH MY HORN NOT WORKING, IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE, AS I HAVE ALMOST GOTTEN INTO 3 ACCIDENTS THUS FAR, I HAVE CONTACTED THE FORD CEO AND KAREN JOHNSON, ANOTHER EXECUTIVE OF FORD AND HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING FROM EITHER ONE OF THEM. I NEED MY CAR FIXED AS ALL THESE ISSUES ARE SAFETY RELATED AND EACH DAY THAT I DRIVE WITH THE CONCERNS, PUT MYSELF AND MY FAMILY IN DANGER.
I WAS DRIVING MY 2012 FORD FUSION TO WORK ONE DAY WHEN SUDDENLY I GOT AN ALERT READING "SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW" AND WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO USE MY POWER STEERING WHICH MADE TURNING EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. I WAS ON A HIGHWAY AND HAD TO PULL OVER AND PARK IN THE CLOSEST FUEL STATION.
DRIVER SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. WHEN INSIDE THE VEHICLE THE DOOR HANDLE FEELS LOOSE AND MOVES FREELY WHEN PULLING BUT THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN. YOU CAN OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE.
I WAS GOING 55 MILES AN HOUR ON BUSY STREET IN FLORIDA, ALL OF SUDDEN CAR WAS GETTING NO GAS, HAD TO PULL OVER, SHUT OFF CAR AND RESTART, THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE, VERY SPURATIC, VERY DANGEROUS, HAD IT TOWED TO EXECUTIVE AUTO, THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING, AND COULD NOT GET IT TO FAIL AGAIN. WAS TOLD CONTROL ARMS ARE SEIZING UP PUTTING TOO MUCH STRESS ON THE POWER STEERING AND SHORTENING IT OUT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,809. *TT*JB
IF MY CAR SITS FOR MORE THAN THREE DAYS, THE BATTERY IS DEAD. I'VE TAKEN IT INTO THE DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES (AT LEAST 5 OR MORE TIMES, NOW I JUST LIVE WITH THE PROBLEM, SINCE IT'S NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY). THE FORD DEALERSHIP SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND ANY ISSUES. ALL THEY DID, IS RECHARGE THE BATTERY A FEW TIMES AND EVENTUALLY, REPLACED THE BATTERY. EVEN WITH THE NEWER BATTERY, IT STILL HAS THE SAME PROBLEM: DEAD BATTERY AFTER THREE DAYS. IF I CHARGE THE BATTERY UP TO 100%, TWENTY-FOUR HOURS LATER, THE % RATE HAS DROPPED ABOUT 35%, DOWN TO LEVEL OF 65-67%. IT'S DOWN THIS SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR WHEN IT WAS NEW. *TR
I STARTED MY CAR, BACKED OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AND MY STEERING WHEEL WOULDNT TURN. AN ALERT POPPED UP ON THE DASH SAYING "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT" AND I COULD NOT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALL. I RESTARTED THR CAR, ALL SEEMED FINE. AS I WAS DRIVING, DOWN THE STREET TOWARDS THE STOP SIGN, IT HAPPENED AGAIN.
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT CAME UP LAST NIGHT OUT OF NOWHERE WHEN I WENT TO DRIVE HOME AT NIGHT IN THE RAIN. I WAS STATIONARY WHEN IT CAME ON AND ITS HAPPENED ONCE BEFORE BUT I TURNED MY CAR OFF THEN BACK ON AND IT WENT BACK TO NORMAL. THIS TIME I TRIED THE SAME THING BUT IT NEVER CLEARED ITSELF AND I'M CURRENTLY DRIVING IT WITH NO POWER STEERING BECAUSE I NEEDED TO GO TO WORK. VERY DANGEROUS AND A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE.

THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CSA15903459. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,000.
WHEN DRIVING MY 2012 FORD FUSION SEL AWD, THE POWER STEERING WILL (AT RANDOM) CEASE TO FUNCTION AND CAUSES EXTREME DIFFICULTY IN STEERING. IT IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO PULL OVER SAFELY. AT SPEED THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND TERRIFYING EVENT. THE LIGHTS FOR THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM, THE POWER STEERING SYSTEM, AND OCCASIONALLY THE ADVANCE TRAC SYSTEM COME ON. IT IS NOT ALWAYS ALL OF THE LIGHTS ALL OF THE TIME, AND THE ERRORS VARY. I HAVE HAD IT LOOKED AT AND THE CODES READ, AND THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE ON AN INCLINE, OR THE ENGINE IS UNDER LOAAD, THE TEMPERATURE GAGUE GOES UP, BUT AS SOON AS I COME OUT OF IT, THE TEMPERATURE RETURNS TO NORMAL. I HAVE HAD IT TESTED AND IT IS NOT ACTUALLY OVERHEATING. HAVE A NEW WATER PUMP, THERMOSTAT, SENSOR AND RADIATOR. ALSO, THE CAR SYMBOL ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL IS ON AND ALL DOORS AND TRUNK ARE CLOSED. PURCHASED A 2012 FUSION SEL WITH 35XXX MILES IN FEB16. DURING THE SUMMER OF 2016, THE A/C BLOWER BEGAN TO FUNCTION INTERMITTENTLY ' MANIPULATION OF THE WIRE HARNESS SUPPLYING POWER TO THE RESISTOR WOULD CAUSE THE BLOWER TO TURN ON/OFF. THE BLOWER ONLY RAN AT ONE SPEED (I.E. THE RESISTOR WAS BAD). THE BLOWER AND RESISTOR WERE REPLACED. THE ISSUE IS ONCE AGAIN OCCURRING AT ~80,000 MILES. THIS IS A WELL-DOCUMENTED COMPLAINT (BLOWER PULL TOO MUCH CURRENT AND FRIES THE RESISTOR) WITH THIS VEHICLE AND, OFTENTIMES, FORD DEALERS ARE ONLY REPLACING/REPAIRING THE BLOWER AND RESISTOR. HOWEVER, IN MY EXPERIENCE (AND LIKELY MANY OTHERS), THE WIRE HARNESS ALSO NEEDED TO BE REPLACED TO CORRECT THE ISSUE AS CONTINUITY THROUGH THE WIRING IS ALSO AFFECTED WHEN THIS ISSUE FIRST OCCURS. THIS IS AN OBVIOUS MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT FORD IS NOT ADDRESSING. FURTHERMORE, THEIR DEALERSHIPS/SERVICE CENTER PERSONNEL ARE NOT ADEQUATELY EDUCATED ON HOW...
DOOR LATCHES STOPPED WORKING NOT ABLE TO OPEN ANY DOORS AND THE CHECK OIL LIGHTS COMES ON BUT JUST HAD MULTIPLE OIL CHANGES DEALER NOT ABLE TO RESET SYSTEM THE SYSTEM HAS TO BE REPLACED EXTREMELY HARD TO TURN THE STEARIN WHEEL.

THE POWER STEERING ASSIST CODE KEEPS COMING ON ON THE DASH EVERY OTHEE DAY FOR WELL OVER A YEAR NOW. WHEN THAT COMES ON YOU CAN BARELY STEER THE FRICKEN THING WHEN IT HAPPENS. IVE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE IT HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING SLOW IN TOWN AND HAVENT HAD ANY ACCIDENTS LUCKILY. SOME VERY CLOSE CALLS THOUGH!
TAKATA RECALL...THEY STATE THEY HAVE NO REMEDY FOR THIS WHEN I PUT MY VIN# IN AT THE AIRBAGRECALL.COM SITE AND IT HAS BEEN ON RECALL SINCE JANUARY 2017. ALSO WE HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE DRIVER'S DOOR NOT UNLOCKING AND STUCK WHERE SOMEONE IN THE CAR WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT WITHOUT CLIMBING OUT THE WINDOW. HAD IT IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIR EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE RECALLED 2013 AND ABOVE FOR THIS VERY REASON. THE FORD DEALERSHIP SAID THE 2012 FORD FUSION WAS NOT INCLUDED. WE HAD TO PAY $100 (WARRANTY DEDUCTIBLE) TO HAVE THEM FIX IT. I FEEL IF IT IS KNOWN ON OTHER MODEL YEARS THIS ONE SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED.
FORD WORKED ON MY FORD FUSION 2012 REPAIRED AIR CONDITIONER ON JULY 7, 2017, BUT AIR WENT OUT AGAIN ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2017. FORD DEALER REFUSE TO FIX THE REOCCURRING PROBLEM. IN ADDITION, THERE IS A RECALL ON THE AIRBAG, BUT FORD REFUSES TO FIX THE DEFECTED AIR BAG. THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE AIR BAG MAY EXPLODE CAUSING INJURY. WHILE DRIVING I CAN SMELL A BURNT ODOR WAS COMING FROM THE AIR BAG. AFTER POWER STEERING FAILED, CAR WAS REPAIRED UNDER A RECALL NOTICE AT LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP. THE STEERING RACK WAS REPLACED. 3 HOURS AFTER PICKING UP THE CAR, WHEN LEAVING WORK, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AGAIN WHILE IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET GOING UNDER 40 MPH DECELERATING COMING TO A RED LIGHT. RECEIVED WARNING "SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW" AND "SERVICE ADVANCTRAC." THESE ARE THE SAME WARNINGS RECEIVED PRIOR TO REPAIR. THE CAR WENT IMMEDIATELY AND GROSSLY OUT OF ALIGNMENT. FORD DEALERSHIP SAYS THE REPAIR NEEDED FALLS UNDER THE TSB 11-11-3 RELATED TO HIGH FRICTION IN THE CONTROL ARMS; HOWEVER, THE TSB STATES THAT THIS PROBLEM ONLY CAUSES THE STABILITY/TRACTION INSTRUMENT CLUSTER TO ILLUMINATE. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS EVERYTHING UNDER MY CAR LOOKS TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION AND THAT THIS HAS TO BE THE PROBLEM, STATING THAT THE HIGH FRICTION IS CAUSING THE POWER...
CAR READS "SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW" AND "SERVICE ADVANCETRAC". VEHICLE IS DIFFICULT TO STEER AND TAKES MAXIMUM EFFORT TO CONTROL. FIRST WARNING GENERATED WHILE PARKED AND UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE. NO PRIOR INDICATIONS TO A PROBLEM.
THIS CAR HAS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THE GAUGES THAT ALSO PREVENTS THE AIR CONDITIONING AND RADIO WORKING PROPERLY PLUS CERTAIN EXTERNAL LIGHTS AND DIRECTIONAL LIGHTS AS WELL AS THE HIGH BEAM INDICATOR. THIS IS GOING ON ALMOST A YEAR NOW AND THE GAUGES WILL "BLACK OUT" AS WELL SO YOU CANT SEE HOW FAST YOU ARE GOING OR OTHER FUNCTIONS. THIS SHOULD BE A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. I DO HAVE SOME VIDEO OF THE PROBLEM I WILL ATTACH. THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME IF THE CAR IS SITTING OR IN MOTION. FOR SOME REASON I CANT POST THE VIDEO OF THE PROBLEM BUT THERE ARE PLENTY OF THE SAME ONES ON YOU TUBE.
AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, MY WARNING SENSORS BEEPED ALONG WITH THE WORDS FLASHING THAT SAID 'POWER STEERING FAILURE.' THANKFULLY I WAS NOT ON A BUSY HIGHWAY AND THERE WAS A GAS STATION CLOSE BY. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED INTO THE NEAREST GAS STATION YET THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD HARDLY TURN. I BOUGHT SOME POWER STEERING FLUID AND PUT THAT IN THE CAR YET IT STILL WOULD NOT TURN PROPERLY. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP THE NEXT AM. AFTER FORD LOOKED AT THE CAR, THEY CALLED ME TO TELL ME THAT IT NEEDED A POWER STEERING GEAR BOX REPLACED AND WOULD COST $1,675.00. AFTER TALKING TO THEM AND OBTAINING A SECOND QUOTE FROM A DIFFERENT REPAIR SHOP, I WAS THEN INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL THAT INVOLVED THE POWER STEERING ASSIST. I THEN CALLED FORD MANUFACTURER TOLL FREE AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT...
THE DRIVER'S DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN FROM THE INSIDE; I HAD TO ROLL THE WINDOW DOWN AND FLIP THE OUTSIDE LATCH. I WAS THINKING THIS COULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE IF IT HAPPENED IN AN EMERGENCY THE DEALER SAID IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM AND THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THIS ISSUE. THEY REPLACED THE "LEFT FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE". THEY SAID IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AT VARIOUS TIMES AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED, IT LOST STEERING AND BRAKING ABILITY. THE DEALER FAILED TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN A PREVIOUS TSB; HOWEVER, THE TSB INFORMATION WAS NOT AVAILABLE NOR FOUND IN THE SYSTEM. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 85,000.
DRIVER'S DOOR LATCH STOPPED WORKING
THE BLOWER MOTOR HAS FAILED 3 TIMES ON MY 2012 FUSION. THE FIRST WAS WHILE UNDER WARRANTY IN 2013, THE SECOND WAS JUST OFF WARRANTY IN 2015, AND THE LAST TIME WAS MAY 27, 2016. THE BLOWER MOTOR FAILED ON THE DAY OF MY SON'S HS SENIOR PROM. WHILE SCHULTZ FORD PROVIDED PRIORITY SERVICE TO HAVE THE REPAIR DONE IN 6 HOURS, IT COST ME OVER $700. THIS IS A CHRONIC PROBLEM THAT FORD SHOULD REPAIR AS A RECALL. I'M CROSSING MY FINGERS WHEN I NEED THE AC IN THE LAST SPRING OF 2017.
MY 2012 FORD FUSION LOSES ALL ELECTRICAL POWER WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD CAUSES THE ENGINE TO COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. DOES NOT MATTER THE SPEED YOU ARE GOING. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FUSION. UPON RECENTLY OWNING THE VEHICLE, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE WAS INTERNAL ELECTRICAL FAILURE WITH THE WIRES. THE WIRES BURNED INTERNALLY NEAR THE VENT CONTROLS FOR THE AIR CONDITIONING OR HEATING. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT SMOKE EMITTED INTO THE VENTS AS THE FAILURE PROGRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V340000 (STEERING), BUT THE CONTACT WAS NOT NOTIFIED BY THE INDEPENDENT DEALER FROM WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA INFLATOR: ON SEPTEMBER 23RD I WAS DRIVING TO WORK USING LOCAL STET AND ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR LOST ALL POWER, IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN I HIT THE GAS. SEVERAL WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON INSIDE THE CAR INCLUDING THE ENGINE LIGHT. IT HAPPEN ONCE AGAIN ON OCT 5, 2016 WHILE DRIVING ON 408. THANK GOD THAT THE TRAFFIC WAS HEAVY AND I WAS ABLE TO PLACE THE CAR INTO PARK, TURN THE ENGINE OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN. I THE TRAFFIC WAS NOT HEAVY I COULD HAVE BEEN BADLY INJURED. I DID NOT NOTICE ANY RECALLS FOR THIS ISSUE. PLEASE DON'T LET SOMEONE LOOSE THEY LIFE BEFORE THE ISSUE IS FIXED
WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, THE POWER STEERING ABRUPTLY STOPPED WORKING, DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. OVER 400,000 FORD CARS WERE RECALLED FOR THIS PROBLEM, ALL MADE AT THE SAME LOCATION, DURING THE SAME TIME. OURS WAS NOT RECALLED, HOWEVER AND THEREFORE CREATED A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION FOR US.
WITH NO CONSISTENCY IN TIMING, THE POWER STEERING HAS BEEN GOING OUT. I MAY BE DRIVING, TURNING OR WAITING AT A STOP LIGHT, ON CITY STREETS OR THE HIGHWAY. THIS PROBLEM STARTED IN MAY 2016, HAPPENING 1-2 TIMES PER MONTH. I TOOK IT INTO MY LOCAL FORD DEALER AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. THEY THOUGHT IT COULD BE A PROBLEM WITH THE STEERING RACK, BUT WEREN'T SURE. THEY DENIED THAT MY VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN FORD'S RECALL OF SEVERAL 2011 AND 2012 FUSIONS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. NOW (SEPTEMBER 2016), THE POWER STEERING IS GOING OUT 1-2 TIMES PER DAY. THE "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT" AND "SERVICE ADVANCTRAC" ERROR MESSAGES APPEAR. I FEEL THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE FOR ME AND THE OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD, AND FORD SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR DESIGN FLAW.
I WAS IN NEW ORLEANS FOR A FAMILY REUNION. LEAVING THE REUNION MY CAR WOULDN'T START. I HAD A FRIEND TO CHECK IT AND POWER WASN'T GOING TO THE PUMP. WE CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP ASSUMING THAT IT HAD WENT OUT AND CHANGE FUSES TOO. AFTER THAT THINKING THAT EVERYTHING WAS OK, WHILE DRIVING TO WORK IN MORNING TRAFFIC GOING 45 TO 50 MPH. THE CAR STOPPED, I COULDN'T GIVE IT GAS OR ANYTHING. I HAD TO HURRY UP AND TURN A BLOCK AND SIT IN THE MIDDLE LANE. I TRIED TURNING THE KEY IT TURNED BUT DIDN'T START. I CHECKED THE FUSE AND BATTERY AND THAT DIDN'T WORK. I STAYED IN CAR FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES BEFORE IT STARTED AGAIN. AFTER STARTING IT I THOUGHT EVERYTHING WAS OK I WAS WRONG. HAD TO WORK AND TRIED STARTING CAR IT WAS DOING THE SAME THING. I HAD IT TOWED TO...
MY AC BLOWER WOULD TURN ON AND OFF RANDOMLY FOR A FEW WEEKS THEN IT WOULD TURN MOSTLY OFF AND NOT KICK BACK ON. THE LAST TIME IT CAME ON FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES AND SHUT OFF WHEN I WAS TRAVELING OVER 4 HOURS IN 118 DEGREE WEATHER. THEN I HAD IT CHECKED OUT. THEY SAID THAT MY BLOWER MOTOR WIRES WERE BURNING, HAD A SHORT. AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION FOUND THAT THE WIRES AND CONNECTOR WERE SEVERELY MELTING AND FUSING TOGETHER AND WAS CAUSING IT TO TURN OFF. HAD TO HAVE IT REPAIRED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AS THIS PROBLEM COULD CAUSE A FIRE.
I WAS UNABLE TO UNLATCH THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR FROM INSIDE AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP NEITHER WITH ENGINE OFF NOR WITH KEY ON. I CONSIDER THIS A MAJOR SAFETY MALFUNCTION. THE LATCH NO LONGER WORKS FROM INSIDE.
