On [XXX] ,I was driving in my car heading home with my [XXX] son in the backseat when my steering wheel just locked up on me and didn't want to turn and it was just stiff. I turn off my car immediately and waited about ten minutes to turn on. The car started up and the steering wheel became un loosen but this situation is off and on and it's scary . It's the third time now it happened. Next im experience a airbag warning symbol on my dashboard today [XXX] and that's even scarier driving in the car with a toddler because it's not safety. I don't know how to remove it off my dashboard and don't know how to fix the problem either. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Power steering went out and made me crash . Prior owner got it fixed but still didn’t fix issue
Driver side impact and passenger side curtain airbags deployed but not driver side that was hit.
Ive had multiple accidents trying to get this car repaired . There are recalls all the way up to 2010 yet 2011 are also having the same hydraulic issues and ABS issues .This is outrageous i have to spent over 3000 dollars and the issues still is resolved especially when im paying for manufacturers error.I am not hard on any of my cars but this one is HORRIBLE
I currently have the Airbag indicator light on my car lit up. I was recently recalled, and the work done in February of 2023. I do not have confidence in the dealership that completed the work initially due to circumstances that occured with my same car a few months later. The circumstances are that later in the year, my car was in the same shop for 48 days, and they could not diagnose, or fix the problem with the car. (not related to airbags, but my trust is broken) I then brought the car to a different dealership, and they were able to diagnose, and fix within 48 hours, not days. My concern is that the car was not properly put back together, and that I still have an Airbag issues, which is a safety concern for me, and potentially a passenger. My request is that, a recall is reissued...
Since I bought my car in 2000, the dash where the passenger airbag comes out is broken. I have to turn the airbag off if anyone sits there. I'm afraid it will pop out at any time

The power steering assist randomly went out and caused me to almost crash into a wall when I was on the freeway taking the car home. The previous owner had gotten into an accident with the vehicle which had also resulted from the power steering randomly going out, and the power steering is now out completely on the vehicle and yet seems to come on randomly while having to manually steer the vehicle. I just got the vehicle and am the most recent owner, but since the vehicle has over 150,000 miles on it and it has been over 10 years, Ford and its dealerships are saying there’s nothing they can do to fix it. However, I know that these issues going on with the car (power steering assist and electronic throttle body issues) are related to the recall on the vehicle. There are apparently no active recalls on the...

CAR HAS BEEN ON RECALL OVER A YEAR . WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO HAVE IT FIXED?
It has been 16 months since I received initial communication about the recall for my driver's side air bag. I've received no other communication regarding this recall and the NHTSA website shows that a remedy is still not available. 16 months is not a timely manner to repair an issue that in the event of airbag deployment can cause serious injury or death. Being 16 months into this process with no remedy, no communication, and no repair in sight, I want to know when Ford is going to give up and give me a new car.
I called Ford at Sam Galloway in Fort Myers and I told them that I have at least 5 recalls but only one is important which is the passenger air bag. I was told that they have availability for September. I asked them, why wasn’t I informed of the recall? They couldn’t answer. I need to know where should I take my car. Thank you

Air Bag Recall has been unfixed since car was made in 2012. The recall was First started on March of 2021. I need to know my rights if the remedy is never made. The 1st issue is I don't feel safe driving vehicle and I can't get out into another vehicle which I understand is my issue but if Ford doesn't care about my safety why should I care what is technically owed to me. I didn't make a vehicle that could kill someone because of sup standard parts. 2 issue is I don't to get into an accident but if I do and survive my car Insurance would total set car because they can't as a company put a part on to a vehicle knowing that the Air Bag is still faulty. I do have gap if it came down to it but what if I didn't have that...
Please disregard NHTSA ID: 11448156. Contacted Ford and parts were ordered to repair.
Safety Recall Notice 21S12/NHTSA Recall 21V-158 ( Driver airbag recall) I received a letter from Ford, April 2021 about my car driver airbag needs to be repaired. RISK: Airbag inflator explodes, sharp metal fragments could strike the driver causing serious injury or death. I will be killed by the airbag, not the wreck. The passenger airbag inflator was repaired after I was told to park car and I was given a rental for 3 months paid by Ford. When they started having to pay money, issue became VERY important. The letter states that when parts are available in sufficient quantities, I will be notified by Ford for repair. The car is 10 years old and FORD has had sufficient time to complete repairs. I am afraid to drive car and my stress level has increased. Ford is affecting my life and my resale valve. Please help in this matter. [XXX]...

I received a Recall Notice 21S12/NHTSA 21V-158 in April 2021 and to date July 26, 2021, the problem still has not been corrected. I feel my life is in danger every time I drive my vehicle. I am requesting that this dangerous vehicle impairment be handled as an emergency and greater effort be made to locate the needed parts. Thank You, Regina F. Smith, owner
I received a notice from you regarding a recall for the airbag in our car on 2/23/21. To date I have not been able to get the airbag replaced and it is now 7/12/21. It doesn't seem right that we have been driving a car that has unsafe airbags for the past 5 months. Is there anything you can do to get this situation resolved? Thank you for your attention to this dangerous situation.

THIS IS THE SECOND AIRBAG RECALL FOR MY FORD FUSION. PREVIOUSLY, THE PASSENGER AIR BAG HAD TO BE REPLACED AND FORD PROVIDED ME WITH A RENTAL CAR DURING THAT PERIOD. NOW, IT'S THE DRIVERS SIDE. THE FORM FORD SENT ME SAID THAT IT WOULD POSSIBLY EXPLODE IF I WAS IN A WRECK BUT THAT I SHOULD CONTINUE DRIVING IT. I JUST WENT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP TO ASK IF THEY COULD FIX OR PROVIDE A RENTAL UNTIL IT CAN BE FIXED. SINCE BASICALLY THEY TOLD ME IN THE LETTER THAT I COULD DIE IF THIS THING EXPLODES, BUT THEY BASICALLY SAID THAT IT'S ON ME AND THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING. PRETTY RIDICULOUS THAT THEY HAVE OFFERED HELP IN THE PAST BUT NOW ARE JUST DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
WE AHVE A OPEN RECALL ( # 21V158 ) AN FORD WILL NOT HONOR THE OPEN RECALL THE AUTHORIZED FORD DEALERSHIP THAT HAS TRIED TO ORDER THE PART WAS TOLD NO THEY WILL NOT SEND THEM THE PARTS AS OF 04/15/2021
FORD HAS KNOW OF THIS AIRBAG PROBLEM FOR MANY YEARS WITH NUMEROUS VEHICLES THEY HAVE SOLD. WE DILIGENTLY CHECKED AND FORD OR NHTSA HAS ENSURED US THAT OUR VEHICLE WAS NOT ONE THAT IS INVOLVED IN THIS RECALL. AS 03/25/2021 FORD INFORMS US THAT WE NOW HAVE BEEN DRIVING AN UNSAFE VEHICLE SINCE 2012 AND CAN NOT FIX THIS PROBLEM?! THE VEHICLE HAS ALREADY HAD THE PASSENGER AIRBAGS REPLACED DUE TO THE SAME ISSUE! THIS TOOK OVER THREE TIMES TO REMEDY THIS PROBLEM! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED EARLIER! THIS IS ONE OF OUR MAIN TRANSPORTATION THAT WE NOW WONDER IF IT WILL KILL OR MAIM US!
THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG INFLATER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED DUE TO A RECALL.
STEERING FEELS LIKE IT'S REALLY LOSE AND GOES ALL OVER THE ROAD TIRES ARE BOUNCY WHILE DRIVING IT POPS BACK ALSO WHILE CHANGING GEARS
AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON FOR PASSENGER SEAT
2012 FORD FUSION PROBLEM WITH POWER STEERING. SUDDENLY IT GETS TOUGH IT DOESN'T WORK.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A SIDE COLLISION BUT MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH WHEN ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A LEFT TURN, THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY FAILED. THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A POLE ON A CORNER NEARBY. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TOWED. THE CONTACT CONTACTED THE DEALER (MTN. VIEW FORD 301 E 20TH ST, CHATTANOOGA, TN 37408; (423) 756-1331) WHO INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL OPEN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRMED THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.
TOOK THE CAR IN FOR AIRBAG RECALL. NOW AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON ALL THE TIME, THIS WAS NOT ON WHEN RECALL REPAIR WAS DONE. NOW DEALERSHIP WANTS TO PERFORM A DIAGNSTIC ON CAR AT MY COST.
AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AFTER COMPLYING WITH THE FORD AIRBAG RECALL. TOOK TO THE DEALER AND WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE PASSENGER IN-SEAT AIRBAG SENSOR WAS INTERMITTENT AND WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL. PRICE TO FIX IS $900.
THIS CAR WAS LEASED FROM FORD IN 2012. IT WAS RETURNED TO FORD IN 2015 WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE WAS LEASED. FORD CONTINUES TO SEND US AIRBAG RECALL NOTICES ON A CAR WE LEASED AND RETURNED 4 OR 5 YEARS AGO. FORD HAS BEEN ADVISED THEY SHOULD HAVE THE RECORDS FOR THE CAR SINCE IT WAS RETURNED TO TOM HOLZER FORD AT THE END OF THE LEASE. AT THIS POINT THEY DECLINE TO MAKE ANY EFFORT TO LOCATE THE CAR AND CORRECT THIS FIASCO. SOMEONE MAY BE AT RISK BECAUSE OF THIS REFUSAL.
I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO GET THE AIR BAG RECALL COMPLETED. THE DEALER CALLED AND SAID THAT MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AND WOULD NEED TO BE DIAGNOSED TO MAKE MY AIRBAGS WORK AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO PAY TO HAVE THE SYSTEM DIAGNOSED. I DECLINED BECAUSE MY CAR IS THERE FOR A RECALL. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT IF THE LIGHT IS ON THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT WORK. IF TRUE WHY ARE THEY WASTING PEOPLES TIME WITH THIS RECALL? I THINK THIS A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE.
