THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 06V432000 (POWER TRAIN). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
VEHICLE STALLING - BROUGHT TO MECHANIC AND WAS ADVISED THIS WAS ALREADY A CHRYSLER RECALL ISSUE. CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE DATE OF MANUFACTURE WAS A FEW MONTHS OUTSIDE THE RECALL DATE AND THEY COULD NOT HELP. I HAD GOTTEN A CATALYTIC CONVERTER APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS AGO AND NOW THE CHRYSLER DEALER SAY I NEED ANOTHER ONE I THOUGHT THEY LAST LONGER THAN THAT, INSTEAD THEY SAY ITS WEAR AND TEAR I DO NOT THINK SO I THINK THERE IS A DEFECT IN THE EMISSION. *TR
CAR WAS STALLING THE NIT BEFORE, PEDAL STARTED GETTING STUCK. I GO HOME AND PARK THE CAR. THE NEXT MORNING I GET IN THE CAR TO TAKE ME DAUGHTERS TO SCHOOL AND CARS GEAR SHIFT WILL NOT MOVE OUT OF PARK. CAR WILL TURN ON BUT GEARS WONT MOVE. 80, 000 MILES ON CAR 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA TOURING. I HAVE CONSUMER REPORT OF THE SAME PROBLEMS AND PINK PLASTIC PIECE BREAKING NOT ONLY ON CHRYSLER PACIFICAS BUT A RECALL ON THE DODGE MAGNUM, CHARGERS, AND THE CHRYSLER 300. THIS ISSUE IS HAPPENING TO A LOT OF CHRYSLER AND DODGE CARS THERE NEED TO BE A RECALL ON THE PACIFICAS AS WELL. IF U GOOGLE CHRYSLER PACIFICA TRANSMISSION GEAR SHIFT U WILL C IM NOT THE ONLY ONE. THE SUBFRAME (WHICH HOLDS UP THE ENGINE) HAS THOROUGHLY RUSTED THROUGH CREATING THE DANGER OF THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION FALLING FROM THE FRAME. I AM TOLD THE CAR IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. CHRYSLER HAS ACKNOWLEDGED A DEFECT IN MATERIALS USED TO CONSTRUCT CARS IN FEBRUARY AND MARCH OF 2004 AND HAS EXTENDED THE WARRANTY TO 150,000 MILES FOR THOSE VEHICLES. AS MINE WAS PRODUCED 4 MONTHS LATER THEY ARE DENYING ANY LIABILITY AND REFUSING ANY ASSISTANCE. THE DEFECT IS IDENTICAL TO ONE THAT IS COVERED ON CARS MADE 4 MONTHS PRIOR , AND THEY HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO PROVIDE ANY DOCUMENTATION SHOWING THE MATERIAL USED ON MY VEHICLE IS NOT FROM THE DEFECTIVE BATCH. I MAY HAVE DEFECTIVE PARTS BUT THEY CANNOT PROVIDE A METHOD TO IDENTIFY THOSE DEFECTIVE PARTS. MILES TO EMPTY SENSOR INCORRECT THEREFORE I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN I NEED GAS. DRIVER SIDE EXTERIOR HEADLAMP SEEMS DIMMER THAN THE OTHER LAMP. AFTER REPAIRING THE ENTIRE FRONT END(SUSPENSION) STILL SOUNDS LIKE THE FRONT END IS GOING TO FALL APART WHEN DRIVING ON OHIO ROADS. FELT IT WAS NECESSARY TO DOCUMENT AS I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN THIS CAR. *TR

THIS CAR WAS RECALLED UNDER THE F44 RECALL NOTICE AND THE PCM WAS FLASHED IN 2008. THE PROBLEMS BEGAN IN MAY2012, THE CAR STARTED GOING IN REVERSE WHILE IN DRIVE, THE ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED, AND THE CAR WAS HARD TO STEER. A FEW DAYS LATER THE CAR SHUT DOWN WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE MAPPING SENSORS WERE REPLACED AND THE CAR WORKED FINE. THE CAR SHUT DOWN AGAIN IN AUGUST. THIS TIME THE CAR MADE CHIMING SOUNDS AND THE SYMBOLS FOR THE BATTERY, ABS, AND ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED. AFTER BRINGING THIS TO THE COMPANIES ATTENTION THEY AGREED TO FIX IT. THE KEPT THE VEHICLE ABOUT A WEEK. THE DAY I PICKED IT UP MY FATHER LOOKED IT OVER AND FOUND DUCT TAPE ON THE PART, CV JOINT. I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK AND ALSO MENTIONED THE HORN ALSO WENT OUT. THE COMPANY AGREED TO FIX THIS AGAIN AS WELL AS PERFORM MY INSPECTION AS THE STICKER HAD EXPIRED. THE CAR WAS KEPT ANOTHER 2 WEEKS. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PICKED UP FOR A SECOND TIME THE CAR BEGAN OVERHEATING. AT THIS TIME MY FATHER AND MECHANIC LOOKED IT OVER AND FOUND A BUSTED HOSE, BUT THEY NOTED THAT THE CV JOINT WAS DUCT TAPED AGAIN THIS TIME COVERED...

IT WILL START UP, AND YOU CAN HEAR THE SHIFTER CLICK WHEN YOU STEP ON THE BRAKE, BUT YOU CANNOT MOVE THE SHIFTER STICK TO PUT IT IN ANOTHER GEAR. IT WILL GO OVER TO PARK, BUT CANNOT GET THE SHIFTER TO COME DOWN TO PUT IT IN GEAR. I HAVE TOLD THE CHRYSLER COMPANY ABOUT THE DEFECT, BUT THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I HAVE WENT ONLINE AND READ NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT CHRYSLER VEHICLES GETTING STUCK IN PARK, AND PEOPLE ARE MANUALLY GOING UNDER THE HOOD TO PULL THE BRAKE OUT OF PARK. THIS IS AN OLD STORY. 2005 CHRYSLER PASIFICA. I ADJUSTED (MOVE FORWARD) ACCEL AND BRAKE PEDAL POSITION BY ELECTRIC POSITION ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM. THEN I WENT TO A HIGHWAY (I94, MI), MY CAR DID NOT SPEED AT ALL. VERY SLOW. SO, I COULD NOT FOLLOW THE FLOW OF OTHER VEHICLE, I WAS ALMOST BE CRASHED. I IMMEDIATELY QUIT FROM THE HIGHWAY AND CHECKED THE PEDALS. THE REASON OF THE ISSUE WAS POOR STROKE OF THE PEDALS. IN CASE OF PACIFICA, WHEN WE MOVE THE PEDALS FORWARD MORE THAN MIDDLE POSITION, MOVING RANGE OF THE ACCEL PEDAL WAS REDUCED LESS THAN HALF BECAUSE THE PEDAL HIT ON THE FLOOR. 05 CHRYS-PAC ON 11-15-09 DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 87N TURNED ON AC TO CLEAR WINDOWS EVERYTHING IN THE CAR WENT DEAD, ENGINE, ELECT PWR EVERYTHING, NO PWR STEERING, NOPWR BRAKES, JUST MADE IT TO ROAD SIDE WITH OUT GETTING HIT. AFTER A SHORT TIME THE CAR STARTED AGAIN AND WAS DRIVEN HOME. *TR
I HAVE A 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA WITH 3.8 LITER ENGINE WITH BROKEN MOTOR MOUNTS. THESE CANNOT BE FIXED/REPLACED BECAUSE THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM THE MANUFACTURER OR ANY PARTS SUPPLIER. WHEN I ORDERED THE PARTS IN JANUARY 2009, THERE WERE ALREADY 3500 ON BACKORDER WITH NO DUE IN DATE. AS OF 4 MAY 2009, CHRYSLER CAN STILL NOT PROVIDE THE PARTS NOR A DUE IN DATE. *TR
2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA MOTOR MOUNTS NEED TO BE REPLACED AND I AM TOLD THE PARTS ARE ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER AND I CANNOT GET MY CAR REPAIRED. IT HAS BEEN SIX MONTHS AND I AM TOLD THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO GET THE PART AND NO DATE IN THE FUTURE THAT THE PART WILL BECOME AVAILABLE. I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THE CAN PROVIDE NO INFORMATION. *TR
I RECENTLY(LAST WEEK) HAD TRANSMISSION SERVICE ALONG WITH POWER TRANSFER UNIT FLUID CHANGE AND AWD SERVICE ON MY 05 CHRYSLER PACIFICA (LIMITED). IT HAS 50+ K MILES ON IT. DAY AFTER THIS SERVICE (DONE AT CHRYSLER DEALER), MY TRUCK STALLED WHILE TAKING TURN TO RIGHT AT LOW SPEED. I HAD TO STOP COMPLETELY AND RESTART THE ENGINE. NEVER HAD PROBLEM AFTER THAT SO FAR. *TR
VERY LOUD POPPING/CLUNK SOUND FROM FRONT HALF OF VEHICLE. CAR IN REVERSE BACKING OUT OF GARAGE, WHEELS TURNED TO STRAIGHTEN OUT AND THEN SHIFTING INTO DRIVE, CAR MAKES A LOUD POP WHEN MAKING FIRST TURN. BROUGHT TO DEALER, REPLACED AXLES, STILL POPPING. RETURNED TO REPAIR, COULDN'T FIND PROBLEM. BROUGHT IN AGAIN AND REPLACED AXLES AGAIN SAYING THEY WERE SURE IT WAS A BAD BATCH PREVIOUSLY. STILL POPPING LOUD. CAR HAS TO BE COLD, CAN'T DUPLICATE FOR DEALER. I FEAR SOMETHING IS BREAKING AND WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
VEHICLE STALLED WHILE TURNING INTO PARKING SPOT AT LOW SPEED. POWER STEERING WAS LOST AT THAT TIME MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER VEHICLE. WHEN VEHICLE WAS PLACED INTO PARK, I WAS ABLE RESTART THE VEHICLE AND SAFELY PARK.
