ON MY 2005 CHRYSLER PACIFICA, THE MOTOR MOUNTS SEEM TO BE SUBSTANDARD AND REQUIRE REPLACEMENT AT A HIGHER INTERVAL THAN NORMAL. WHILE THIS MAY NOT SEEM LIKE A HUGE ISSUE INITIALLY, A FAILED MOTOR MOUNT IS A REASON TO REJECT A VEHICLE INSPECTION IN THE STATE OF VA. SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR USED 2 YEARS AGO, I NEEDED TO REPLACE A FAILED MOTOR MOUNT, NOW, 2 YEARS LATER AND WITH THE CAR HAVING LESS THAN 65,000 MILES I AM HAVING TO REPLACE A MOTOR MOUNT AGAIN. THE REAL ISSUE NOW SEEMS TO BE THAT CHRYSLER AS A WHOLE IS OUT OF STOCK AS THERE IS A NATIONAL BACKORDER IN EFFECT AT THE MOMENT. THE FACT THAT THIS PART IS ON A NATIONAL BACKORDER MAKES ME FEEL AS IF THEY ARE BEING REPLACED BY MANY OTHER PACIFICA OWNERS. RESEARCH ONLINE HAS SHOWN THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS FAIL ON THE PACIFICA...

I NOTICED A STRANGE ODOR WHEN I DROVE THE CAR FROM THE LOT. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE NEW THE LEATHER SMELL, BUT LATER FOUND OUT THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE CAR WAS LEAKING. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY ATTEMPTED TO FIX THE LEAK FOUR (4) TIME. IT STILL IS NOT FIXED. NOW OTHER THINGS ARE STARTING TO HAPPEN, THE PASSENGERS POWER SEAT NO LONGER RECLINES, THE RADIO WILL JUST QUIT WORKING AND SO DOES THE A/C. *JB
