THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,766.
MY CHRYSLER 200 2013 TOURING STALLED ON ME WHILE COMING TO A STOP AT A STOP SIGN I WAS STUCK IN A INTERSECTION FOR ALMOST AN HOUR AND HAD TO DIRECT TRAFFIC AROUND ME SO I WOULDN'T GET HIT. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. THIS IS THE 5TH TIME MY CAR HAS STALLED ON ME AND I'VE ONLY HAD IT FOR 2 MONTHS, STALLED TWICE ON BUSY INTERSECTIONS I COULD HAVE DIED. IT STALLED ON ME WHILE I WAS GOING 55 MPH AND THE LANES WERE SO TIGHT I ALMOST COULDN'T GET TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT GETTING HIT AND WHEN I FINALLY DID THE LANES WERE SO CLOSE THAT I COULDN'T PARK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR SAFETY WITHOUT BEING TERRIFIED SOMEONE GOING TO COME DOWN THE HILL AND NOT SEE ME AND HIT ME. TAKATA RECALL THE WIPER CONNECTOR UNDER THE HOOD BROKE. I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR 5 YEARS BRAND NEW AND EVER OTHER YEAR SOMETHING IS BREAKING ON THIS CAR. WHY? MY WIPER SPRAYER DOES NOT WORK. WHILE DRIVING AT A RATE OF 50 MPH, THE HAZARD LIGHTS CAME ON WITHOUT TOUCHING THE CONTROL TO TURN IT ON. WHEN I TOUCHED THE CONTROL, THE LIGHTS WOULD GO OFF FOR A FEW SECONDS AND RETURN FLASHING. THIS CONTINUED TO OCCUR FOR THE NEXT 15 MILES AT WHICH TIME, I PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT. WHEN I TURNED THE CAR OFF.. THE HAZARD LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN AND COULD NOT BE CUT OFF. OTHER STRANGE THINGS THAT HAVE OCCURRED IS THE ABS LIGHT COMING ON AND THEN THE CAR WITH TRACTION STREAKS SHOWING.
THERE IS A FAULTY ACTUATOR IN THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM THAT CONTROLS THE BLENDERS. IT CLICKS WHEN THE VEHICLE ISN'T RUNNING AND IT IS DRAINING THE BATTERY, UNLESS THE CAR IS RUN FREQUENTLY/DAILY

THE CONTACT RETRIEVED THE VEHICLE, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED APPROXIMATELY FIVE MORE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE CONTACT WAS ALTERED BY ANOTHER MOTORIST THAT FLAMES WERE PRESENT UNDERNEATH HER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT COASTED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE AS TALL FLAMES ERUPTED UNDERNEATH THE ENGINE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. A POLICE AND A FIRE REPORT WERE NOT FILED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A TOW YARD. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V043000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING A CALL BACK TO DETERMINE IF THEY COULD INVESTIGATE THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
MY CAR IS MAKING A TICKING NOISE EVERY TIME I HIT MY ALARM OR DRIVE IT. IF COMES TOM MY ATTENTION MY AJUACTOR DOOR IS GETTING STUCK AND MAKING THIS NOISE.
I AM ALWAYS HAVING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS. THE LIGHTS DON'T WANT TO TURN ON. THE AIR CONDITIONER DOES NOT WANT TO SWITCH ON. THE FANS DON'T WANT TO TURN ON. IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING WITH THE ELECTRICAL. THE CAR WILL BE IN DIFFERENT MOTIONS AND SO THIS SOMETIMES WHEN I GO TO START IT OR SOMETIMES WHEN I AM DRIVING. IT CAN END UP BEING DANGEROUS WHAT IF THE ELECTRICAL GOES OUT WHILE I AM DRIVING
MY VEHICLE WILL CUT OFF/STALL WHILE DRIVING, LOSING SPEED CONTROL. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN I CAN COUNT. ON RESIDENTIAL STREET, MAIN HIGHWAYS, AND FREEWAYS WHILE DOING SPEEDS UP TO 70MPH. IF I AM ABLE TO PULL OVER TO SAFETY I WOULD ATTEMPT TO START THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD CRANK BUT WOULDN'T TURN OVER. AFTER 2HRS THE VEHICLE WOULD START. I'VE TAKEN IT INTO SEVERAL DEALERSHIPS TO BE DIAGNOSED AND THEY WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP HOOKED UP A TRACKER AND SAID IT WAS ONE THING AND FIXED IT AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL HAPPENING. FIRST INCIDENT WAS MOTHERS DAY MAY 2017
THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON THE CAR STARTED STALLING I GOT A JUMP OFF IT RAN FOR A SECOND AND STARTED STALLING AGAIN I JUMPED IT OFF AGAIN I TOOK THE NEGATIVE OFF AND LEFT THE POSITIVE ON IN THE CAR DIE TO ME THAT IS THE ALTERNATOR
THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS RANDOMLY CUT ON WHILE DRIVING ON DAYS THAT THERE IS NO RAIN OR WATER PRESENT. THE AIR CONDITIONER ALSO CHANGES IT SETTINGS WHEN IT IS NOT ON "AUTO" AND MY CRUISE CONTROL WILL ONLY WORK ABOUT 30% OF THE TIME. IT WILL NOT SET TO THE SPEED I HAVE SELECTED.
SOMETHING ELECTRICAL IS DRAINING MY BATTERY. WHEN I DRIVE, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, THE ABS, TRACTION, AND BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING. WHEN I'M IDLE NOTHING HAPPENS. WHEN I'M ON THE HIGHWAY IT JERKS AND STALLS A BIT. I HAVE TO ACCELERATE A LOT TO KEEP IT GOING. I'VE HAD THE BATTERY REPLACE 2 TIMES IN THE PAST 3 MONTHS - BRAND NEW. IT KEEP DRAINING MY BATTERY. THE ALTERNATOR WAS FINE. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN'T READ IT IF THE LIGHTS ARE NOT ON. BUT IT ONLY COMES ON WHEN I'M DRIVING. THE LIGHTS IN THE CAR, HEADLIGHTS, AND RADIO ALL GO OUT WHILE I'M DRIVING THEN BACK ON. THE HEADLIGHTS FLICKER. I'M ABOUT TO NEED TO HAVE THE BATTERY REPLACED NOW A THIRD TIME WITH NO HELP FROM THE DEALERSHIP. MY ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON AND AND IT...
ENGINE STOPPED WHILE WAITING AT RED LIGHT AND WOULD NOT START BACK UP. ALL LIGHTS RADIO ECT.. WERE WORKING. CAR HAD GAS. GOT A HOTSHOT, CAR STARTED BACK UP. THE NEXT DAY GO TO START CAR AND IT WOULDN'T START. 2DAYS WORK MISSED. UPSET$?!!

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A FAULTY TIPM THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN 2013 IT WAS CONSIDERED USED AT THE DEALER AND SOON AFTER PURCHASING IT THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT WOULD NOT UNBUCKLE WHEN THE PASSENGER PRESSED THE RED BUTTON TO UNLATCH THE BELT. QUITE A FEW TIMES THE PASSENGER HAD TO LITERALLY CLIMB OUT FROM UNDER THE SEAT BELT TO GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE AND IF IT WAS STILL LATCHED I REALLY HAD TO PULL HARD TO GET IT TO UNBUCKLE. SOMETIMES ON LONG TRIPS I WOULD MAKE THE PASSENGER SIT IN THE BACK SEAT BECAUSE THIS BECAME QUITE AN ISSUE. SOMETIMES IT WOULD UNBUCKLE AS IT SHOULD HAVE AND OTHER TIMES I FOUGHT WITH IT SO HARD I NEVER THOUGHT IT WOULD UNBUCKLE. OF COURSE THIS WOULD HAPPEN WHEN THE CAR WAS STATIONARY BUT GETTING READY TO DRIVE WITH EVERYONE PUTTING ON THEIR SEAT BELTS AND IT WOULD ONLY BE THE OCCUPANT SEAT BELT...

HEAD REST DEPLOYED WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STRRET, THE ENGINE ALSO SHUT DOWN WHILE MAKEING A LEFT HAND TURN AND WILL NOT START BACK UP THIS HAS CAUSED EVERY SENSOR LIGHT TO COME ON AS WELL. PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT, MY THAT MY AUTOMATIC START AND LOCKS WERE NOT WORKING AND THE HEADLIGHTS WERE REALLY DIM. I TOOK IT TO AUTOZONE WHERE IT WAS ASSESSED AND THEY DETERMINED IT WAS NOT THE BATTERY.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED AND STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST INTO A PARKING LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR FAILED, WHICH CAUSED THE BATTERY TO FAIL. BOTH THE ALTERNATOR AND BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.

THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE INTEGRATED FUSE SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
31 DAYS AFTER PURCHASING MY VEHICLE THE BLOWER FOR THE HEAT AND AIR CONDITIONING BEGAN TO SPUTTER AND WORK SPORADICALLY THEN COMPLETELY QUIT A WEEK OR SO LATER AS A RESULT AN ESSENTIALLY NEW VEHICLE HAS NO HEATBAND NO DEFROST WHICH I'VE LEARNED IS DANGEROUS WHEN IT'S RAINING AS I CAN'T SEE OUT OF THE WINDSHIELD. I BELIEVE THIS IS AM ELECTRICAL ISSUE NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE BLOWER BROKE BUT SOMETIMES THE POWER WINDOWS WILL STOP WORKING THEN WORK AGAIN. WARNING LIGHTS WILL FLASH ON FOR NO REASON THEN DISAPPEAR. THE GAS LIGHT WILL STAY ON LONG AFTER GAS HAS BEEN PUT IN THE CAR DO THAT I HAVE TO TURN THE COMPLETELY OFF THEN BACK ON TO MAKE IT GO AWAY.

THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 20.
OK.. SO LET ME VENT HERE. I FIRST BOUGHT MY CAR THIS YEAR. (MARCH) AND THEY LET ME TAKE MY CAR FOR A NIGHT TO SEE IF I WOULD LIKE THE CAR. THEY HAD A 2013 CHRYSLER 200 LX 2.4CYL. IN JUNE 4, 2016 I WAS ATTENDING 2 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATIONS. IT WAS RAINING THAT MORNING SO MY WIPERS WERE ON. I GET TO THE CENTER AND GO INSIDE. AFTER THE 2ND GRADUATION AND SPEAKING WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS I GO TO THE PARKING GARAGE TO LEAVE. I GET TO MY CAR TO FIND MY WIPERS STILL GOING. I GET IN THE CAR A TRY TO TURN THE SWITCH OFF. ITS ALREADY OFF. I DRIVE HOME. MY HUSBAND AND I CHECK FOR THE FUSE TO REMOVE. NO LUCK. HE DISCONNECTS THE BATTERY. THERE IS A LOT GOING ON SO I GET IT TO A MECHANIC A WEEK LATER. HE TESTS IT AND THE RESULTS COME BACK AS THE WIPER MOTOR. WE SCHEDULE THE REPAIR BUT FINDS IT IS NOT THE MOTOR. HE RETESTS THE CAR AND TELLS ME ITS THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED PIWER MODULE OR TIPM. HE SUGGESTS THAT.I CALL...
THE CAR KEEPS STALLING IN TRAFFIC, GET AN ENGINE JUMP THEN STALLS. CHRYSLERS TECHS CAN'T EVEN FIGURE IT OUT. ALSO STALLS ON FREEWAYS AND IS GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED. FROM WHAT I SEE IT'S HAPPENING IN THESE CARS FROM 2012 TO 2015 MODELS EVERYWHERE. I'M VERY SICK OF GOING TO THE DEALER AND PAYING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS BECAUSE OF COURSE IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, HOW CONVENIENT. THEN EITHER RIGHT AWAY OR A MONTH LATER THE SAME ISSUE OCCURS AND GET WORSE AND WORSE. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY.
ELECTRICAL SHORT, DESTROYED ALTERNATOR, PCM AND BATTERY. MANUFACTURER IS REFUSING TO PAY OR HELP . UPON REVIEWING THER INTERNET WE NOTICED THAT MOST OF THERE VEHICLES SINCE 2012 HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM THE FEE TO PAY IS OVER 2000.00 AN NO GUARANTEE IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.
I HAVE A 2013 CHRYSLER 200, IT HAS ROUGHLY 70,000 MILES, AS I WAS ACCELERATING ONTO THE HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO OVER 40-50 MPH. I WAS ALMOST REAR-ENDED BECAUSE EVERYONE WAS TRYING TO GET ONTO THE HIGHWAY. I COULDN'T PULL OVER BECAUSE OF IT BEING OVER A BRIDGE. WHEN I WENT TO PULL OVER THE CAR STALLED AND WOULD NOT START UNTIL THE 3RD OR 4TH TRY. THE CAR IS PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW THERE IS NO WAY THIS SHOULD BE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. AS I AM READING MANY OF THE OTHER COMPLAINTS THIS SEEMS TO BE PRETTY COMMON IN THIS VEHICLE & YEAR.
