Headrest popped out Radio goes blank or completely then comes back on Throttle body light comes on and stalks car after being replaced 2 times Gas cap light comes on after being replaced 4 times
While driving the car is in process.. the engine will suddenly stop (stall). I loose all power to the car and is unable to stop the car or control the speed or any other functions of the car. The only way to stop the car immediately is to manually use the emergency breaks. My 3.6 liter engine is having the same engine defect as the 2.4 2000 Chrysler 200 engine N52... causing it to malfunction. Also sometimes when trying to start the car while turning the key in the ignition the engine begin to flood on its on and get completely stuck in that position..and become unable to process to start and run. For about a year and a half I have been back and forth to the auto mechanic paying so much money trying to figure out what is going on with my car. Unable to fix of com...
The car randomly stalls while I am driving it. I lose all power to the car and the RPM's go to zero. I have to jiggle the fuse box and turn the key to the on position until I hear the fuel pump kick on, then I can start the car. I can tell when the car will stall on me when the RPM's fluctuate and the car stutters. My safety is put at risk to me and to other people because my car loses power while I am driving it. I lost power to the car four times this morning alone and almost got smashed by a 5th wheel truck. I have lost power on the freeway while my children were in the car with me. My husband is a mechanic and he thinks it is the fuse box that needs to be replaced.
The engine stalls without warning. The car is available for inspection upon request. There are no warning lamp messages or other symptoms before the engine stalls.
For the past three months my car shuts off while driving for no reason without warning. Some times even when I am at a stop waiting for light to change while trying to accelerate to go it just shuts off and have to wait for some time to try to start it again. This problem started around May of 2023 and I have not found a solution. Replaced fuel pump based on a article I read on line, but problem continued as of today 11-23-2024
After starting the vehicle and going from reverse to drive the vehicle stalls out. After the initial stall and traveling a few miles, while stopping at a traffic signal the vehicle stalls out again and more times than not can accelerate at a speed higher than prompted. This is a frequent occurrence and other owners of the same make model and year that I have spoken with have the same issue.
Purchased car 8/03/21. Got full possession of car 8/18/21. The car shuts off while driving and backing up with no warning. It shuts off when you press on the brakes. When you come to a complete stop and then press on the accelerator , the car hesitates to move, then moves very slowly , jerks then starts to move at a normal pace . Engine light comes on continuously.
My vehicle turns off like out of no where has done this three times also some oil is getting in the coolant take and when driving has a weird smell like gas or something
ON 9/3/21 MY CAR STALLED TWICE WHILE DRIVING, NO WARNING, NO LIGHTS, THEN IT RESTARTED ON IT'S OWN. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A TURN WITH OTHER CARS APPROACHING MY CAR, COULD HAVE GOTTEN HIT BY ANOTHER CAR. UNABLE TO STEER AND HORN WITH A LOW BEEP. ON 9/4/21 ST 7:30AM WHILE DRIVING TO TAKE CAR TO GET CHECKED OUT I THOUGHT I SAW A SPARK WHERE AUX CABLE WAS INSERTED, I UNPLUGGED THE CABLE, NO BURNING SMELL OR ANY OTHER THINGS SEEN.
iv been having problems with my vehicle since March 1st been to 3-4 shops one let me know my car is doing everything in the recall for fuel problems stalls out on me while I'm driving and when it gets to under half way mark on gas gage it's like there is no gas in it crystler in auburn ny is no help they keep giving my car back when I tell them whats wrong and giving me the run around iv spent 3000 already to fix the problem they are not fixing it I keep stalling out while driving
Car is not picking up speed when your in drive, jerks badly, cuts off in the middle of driving, keeps killing the battery, drives about 5 miles an hr the max. Car has been at the chrysler dealership for over 6 months and it is still not fixed. They are saying that it's still doing the same thing as when I brought it in. Nothing is being Done to resolve the issues
VEHICLE DIED WHILE DRIVING 40-45 MPH IN TRAFFIC WOULD NOT RESTART UNTIL AFTER SITTING FOR 30 MIN TO 2 HOURS. THERE WAS NO WARNING BEFORE IT DIED, IT WAS RUNNING NORMALLY. AFTER IT RESTARTED THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED THEN STAYED ON SOLID FOR A COUPLE DAYS. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE CRANKSHFT POSITION SENSOR SO I HAD THAT REPLACED. THE CAR THEN 3 WEEKS LATER WHILE DRIVING STARTED CHUGGING REALLY BAD. I WAS THEN TOLD THE IGNITION COIL ON #2 CYLINDER WAS MISFIRING. I HAD THAT REPLACED ALONG WITH ALL SPARK PLUGS AND CAR RAN THE SAME AFTER DRIVING 4-5 MILES THEN DIED AND NO RESTART. THE REPAIR SHOP FOUND THE #2 IGNITION COIL MELTED INTO THE VALVE COVER AND IT HAD ALSO CRACKED THE VALVE COVER. THEY REPLACED THE VALVE COVER AND THE #2 IGNITION COIL AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE CHRYSLER...
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE CAR ON CRUISE AT ABOUT 60MPH THE RPMS SUDDENLY DROPPED TO ZERO AND THE CAR DECELERATED TO A STOP. WHEN I RESTARTED I WENT ABOUT A QUARTER OF A MILE BEFORE IT TURN OFF AGAIN. THEN ON ATTEMPTING TO TURN OVER AGAIN IT WOULD NOT START. AFTER COOLING DOWN (IN THE TURN LANE OF A BUSY HIGHWAY) FOR ABOUT SIX MINUTES IT FINALLY STARTED AGAIN AND I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO A PARKING LOT.
THIS IS MY SECOND COMPLIANT, THOUGH I SHOULD'VE BEEN COMPLAINING SINCE BUYING THIS VEHICLE IN JUNE 2016. MY CAR WOULDN'T START AND THE ENGINE WOULD STALL, NO BATTERY ISSUE. I DOING 70MPH ON THE FWY AND THE CAR JUST LOST POWER. I TOOK IT TO A SHOP AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP. I HAD IT REPLACED. 1 WEEK LATER I TRIED TO START THE CAR AND IT WOULD NOT START. I CALLED AAA AND WHEN THEY CAME THE CAR STARTED. THE SAME DAY I WAS ON THE FWY AND THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN AGAIN. I WAS TERRIFIED AS A BIG RIG WAS RIGHT BEHIND ME. I CALLED THE MECHANIC AND HAD THE CAR TOWED TO HIS SHOP. HE TESTED IT AND SAID THE FUEL PUMP MUST BE BAD. WE REPLACED IT AGAIN. THE CAR SEEMED TO RUN FINE. PLEASE NOTE I ONLY DRIVE 5 TO 10 MILES A DAY. I WAS ON THE FWY AGAIN THIS WEEK AND THE ENGINE QUIT AGAIN. I WENT ONLINE TO SEE IF I WAS THE ONLY ONE HAVING THIS KIND...
ALL OF SUDDEN I FELT A JOLT IN THE GEAR SHIFT AND THEN I LOST POWER STEERING AND I COULDN'T STEP ON THE GAS TO ACCELERATE . SO I PULLED OVER THE BEST I COULD, ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 55 MPH. I SHUT THE CAR OFF AND WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON AFTER GIVING IT A COUPLE MINUTES IT WAS TURNING OVER BUT NOT TURNING ON. THE ENGINE WAS COMPLETELY STALLED. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS. IT WAS COMPLETELY RANDOM. I HAD TO CALL FAMILY TO COME PICK ME AND MY DAUGHTER UP. AFTER A FEW HOURS WE CAME BACK A NEW TRIED IT. IT WORKED BUT AFTER DRIVING IT AN HOUR IT DID THE SAME THING AGAIN. I CHECKED THE RECALLS FOR MY CAR AND THEIR ISN'T, HOWEVER WHEN I READ UP ON FORUMS AND MY CAR HAS THE SAME ISSUES AS THE OTHER 2013 CHRYSLER...
IT DIED WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY MULTIPLE TIMES. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NO WARNING AND NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. REPAIRS SOMETIMES RIGHT AWAY AND SOMETIMES AFTER AN HOUR OR MORE.
MY CAR QUITS ON ME WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. ESPECIALLY WHILE SLOWING DOWN. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR SIGNS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SCARY! THE CAR HAS A BROKEN CONTROL VALVE IN THE FUEL TANK AS THE DEALER TOLD ME AND THIS CAR SHOULD ALSO BE ON A RECALL TO REPLACE THE FUEL TANK AS IT WAS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE .

ON FOUR SEPARATE OCCASIONS MY 2013 CHRYSLER 200 SHUT OFF ON ME WHILE DRIVING. IT APPEARED AS IF THE ENGINE WAS NOT GETTING ANY GAS. WHEN I TRIED TO START THE VEHICLE IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WANTED TO START BUT NO GAS WAS GETTING TO THE ENGINE. I. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE SHOP PUT MY VEHICLE ON THE COMPUTER AND NO ISSUES WAS REVEALED. EACH TIME THAT IT SHUT OFF I HAD A FULL TANK OF GAS TO 3/4 OF GAS. I HAD TO WAIT 45-60 MINUTES BEFORE THE CAR WOULD START AGAIN. ON 3OCT2019 I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK TRAVELING 65 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE SHUT DOWN ON ME ON THE INTERSTATE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.

TORQUE CONVERTER STOPPED WORKING PROPERLY CAUSING THE CAR TO STALL WHILE AT SLOW SPEEDS AND BREAKING. THIS COULD BE IN URBAN AND RURAL SETTINGS. ANY EXAMPLE OF SLOWING DOWN, STOPPING, YIELDING, ETC. UPON DIAGNOSTICS IT WAS FOUND THE TORQUE CONVERTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AS WELL AS A PUMP (WHICH ONE WAS NOT SPECIFIED BY THE SERVICE E TEAM) STARTING IN EARLY TO MID OCTOBER 2018

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO IMPERIAL VALLEY HYUNDAI (634 THOMAS DR, EL CENTRO, CA 92243), BUT THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE BECAME MORE INTENSE AFTER A YEAR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER AND KEPT OVERNIGHT FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000. MAY-4-2018 VEHICLE STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS IN 2016 WITH STRONG ODOR OF RAW FUEL UNDER THE DASH ON DRIVER SIDE. SMELL IS PROMINENT WHEN VEHICLE IS STARTED AND THEN DIMINISHED AFTER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING. PROBLEM WAS REPORTED ON 12-27-16 AND SERVICE ADVISOR DID NOT DETECT A FUEL SMELL. ON 3-7-18 THE PROBLEM WAS REPORTED AGAIN AND NO SMELL...
EVER SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN JULY, 2017, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON WITH THE MESSAGE "GASCAP" SHOWING ON THE ODOMETER. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO BE CHECKED NUMEROUS TIMES, AND NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I'VE ALSO REPLACED THE GASCAP THREE TIMES. MY VEHICLE WILL CUT OFF/STALL WHILE DRIVING, LOSING SPEED CONTROL. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN I CAN COUNT. ON RESIDENTIAL STREET, MAIN HIGHWAYS, AND FREEWAYS WHILE DOING SPEEDS UP TO 70MPH. IF I AM ABLE TO PULL OVER TO SAFETY I WOULD ATTEMPT TO START THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD CRANK BUT WOULDN'T TURN OVER. AFTER 2HRS THE VEHICLE WOULD START. SINCE PURCHASED IN SEPTEMBER 2012 ALWAYS DRIVES SLUGGISH ON CITY HIGHWAY; THUMPING WAS NOTICEABLE-CHASED IT UP TO LEARNING A NEW VEHICLE. THUMBING GETTING HARDER AND FREQUENT....LIKE FAST "THUMP JERK, THUMB JERKING, THUMP JERK"-. I ALWAYS HAVE PLENTY OF GAS. IT HAPPENS WITH 87 OR 89 OCTANE.

WHILE THIS DID OCCUR AFTER THE CAR HAD BEEN SITTING FOR A FEW HOURS, I AM CONCERNED THAT IT WILL HAPPEN ON THE ROAD. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHRYSLER 200. WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 5-10 MPH, THE COOLANT FILLER NECK FRACTURED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT COOLANT FLUID LEAKED FROM THE FILLER NECK. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 53,000.
THE CAR KEEPS STALLING IN TRAFFIC, GET AN ENGINE JUMP THEN STALLS. CHRYSLERS TECHS CAN'T EVEN FIGURE IT OUT. ALSO STALLS ON FREEWAYS AND IS GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED. FROM WHAT I SEE IT'S HAPPENING IN THESE CARS FROM 2012 TO 2015 MODELS EVERYWHERE. I'M VERY SICK OF GOING TO THE DEALER AND PAYING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS BECAUSE OF COURSE IT'S ALWAYS SOMETHING NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, HOW CONVENIENT. THEN EITHER RIGHT AWAY OR A MONTH LATER THE SAME ISSUE OCCURS AND GET WORSE AND WORSE. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY.
DRIVING NORMAL UNTIL I SLOW DOWN OR APPLY BRAKES. IT SHUTS ITSELF OFF, I PUT IT IN NEUTRAL ON A COMPLETE STOP AND IT TURNS BACK ON.
AT APPROXIMATELY 41,000 MILES, WIRING HARNESS TO FUEL PUMP SHORTS OUT NEAR FUEL PUMP END, CAUSING ELECTRICAL ARCING AT FUEL COMPONENTS. ENTIRE WIRING HARNESS TO FUEL PUMP MUST BE REPLACED DUE TO DAMAGE. OVERLOAD (FUSE BOX) SYSTEM FAILED TO MITIGATE DAMAGE. ARCING AND FIRE COULD HAVE CAUSED FURTHER DAMAGE OR EXPLOSION. VEHICLE WAS ON A CITY STREET WHEN IT SIMPLY STOPPED WORKING. VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT PUTNAM CHRYSLER IN BURLINGAME, CA, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH THE DEFECT. THE AUTOMOBILE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING, HORN BLOWS AT ANYTIME, PAINT CHIPPING ON HOOD
ON APPROXIMATELY 7/14/15, UPON ACCELERATING FROM A STOPPED POSITION, MY CHRYSLER 200 HESITATED ON TAKE OFF. I HAD TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL AND SLOWLY TRY ACCELERATING AGAIN, STILL WITH HESITATION, BUT FINALLY TAKING OFF. THERE WAS SLIGHT HESITATION AS MY VEHICLE WAS ACCELERATING, THEN THE FUEL SEEMED TO CATCH UP. THIS HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES RANDOMLY SINCE 7/14/15. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 7/23/15 AS IT IS STILL UNDER MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY, EXPLAINED THE SITUATION, AND THEY SAID THEY FOUND NO PROBLEMS, THAT "NO CODES" SHOWED UP ON THE COMPUTER. THIS PROBLEM APPEARS TO EFFECT THE ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM AND SPEED CONTROL. I WAS VERY CONCERNED EACH TIME THIS HAPPENED OF BEING INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT. I WILL CONTINUE TO BE CONCERNED UNTIL THIS PROBLEMS IS RESOLVED. I INTEND TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION INTO THIS PROBLEM.
OCT 2014 I REMOTE STARTED MY CAR. MY GRANDSON WAS IN THE CAR, WHEN I CAME OUTSIDE I SMELLED A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE. GAS FUMES WAS COMING THROUGH THE VENTS AND GAS WAS LEAKING, TOOK TO OLATHE DODGE THEY SUPPOSEDLY FIXED IT. 3 FUEL INJECTORS AND LOOSE HOSE. JAN 2014, SAME THING HAPPENED I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THIS TIME A LOUD CLANG, STRONG GAS FUMES CAME THROUGH THE VENTS AND I PARKED AND HAD IT TOWED BACK TO OLATHE DODGE. THEY FIXED AGAIN. I GOT MY CAR BACK AND TOOK IT 2 BLOCKS AND IT WAS SMOKING BLUE/BLACK SMOKE REALLY BAD, I TOOK IT BACK TO OLATHE DODGE. THEY CALLED ME 6 DAYS LATER AND SAID IT WAS FIXED, I TOOK OFF WORK TO PICK IT UP GOT IN THE CAR THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS BACK ON AND COULD STILL SMELL GAS. THEY KEPT THE CAR AND...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHRYSLER 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE HAD EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE FAILURES INVOLVING THE FUEL, ELECTRICAL LIGHTING AND THE POWER TRAIN. THE VEHICLE ALSO STALLED DUE TO LACK OF FUEL DESPITE THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE INDICATING THAT THERE WERE 40 MILES OF TRAVEL REMAINING BEFORE NEEDING TO REFUEL. ADDITIONALLY, THE HEADLIGHTS WOULD FLICKER ON AND OFF, THE AUTOMATIC WINDOWS AND INTERIOR LIGHTING WOULD ENGAGE SPORADICALLY AND INDEPENDENTLY, AND THE ENGINE RPMS WOULD INCREASE ABNORMALLY, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT WAS UNABLE TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 605
