All Engine And Engine Coolingcooling System Complaints
WHILE DRIVING THE 2007 V-6 CAMRY ON THE HIGHWAY THE VVTI OIL PRESSURE TUBE DEVELOPED A RAPID LEAK. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS OR OIL PRESSURE FAILURE INDICATORS ACTIVATED BY THE LEAK. THIS RAPID OIL LEAK MAY CAUSE THE ENGINE TO SEIZE AND LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT. THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP WAS CONTACTED AND THEY TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ENGINE DESIGN FAILURE, NOR DO THEY INTEND TO WARN THE OTHER CAMRY OWNERS. *TR
CAR'S AC BLOWER MOTOR STOPPED WORKING ATR ~ 18 K MILES. THE HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM WOULD SOMETIMES NOT WORK WHEN IT WAS TURNED ON. THIS WAS ESPECIALLY A PROBLEM WHEN CAR WAS PARKED IN THE SUN. THE BLOWER WOULD ALSO MAKE A THRUMMING SOUND AND IT TOOK 4 TIMES FOR THE DEALER TO EVEN ADMIT THIS WAS HAPPENING AND IT STILL IS NOT RIGHT. *TR
FOR THE PAST YR THE CAR SHAKES BETWEEN 45-35MPH WHEN SLOWING TO BRAKE, ROTOR REPLACED AND BRAKES REPLACED. ALSO A/C SYSTEM SMELLS OF URINE 80% OF TIME, LASTLY ENGINE WHEN BRAKING AND DEPRESSING GAS TO ACCEL. JUMPS AND IS UNSAFE. *TR
CAMRY 2007 SE V6. ACCELERATION PROBLEMS, HESITATES AT TAKE OFF, TRANSMISSION SLIPS LIKE ITS SEARCHING FOR A GEAR, SMELL FROM A/C. ENGINE TICKS WHEN I TAKE OFF AND DON'T LET IT WARM UP EVEN THOUGH ITS WARM OUTSIDE. HAD PROBLEMS WITH TIRES, HAD THEM REPLACED. LOUD ROAD NOISE CAR NOT VERY SOUND PROOF. FEELS LIKE STEERING WHEEL "STICKS"FOR JUST A SECOND LONG ENOUGH TO SCARE ME LIKE SOMEONE IS HOLDING IT. *TR
AFTER 4985 MILES, THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT ACTIVATED. THERE WAS A SMELL OF BURNING ELECTRICAL WIRES. DEALER/SERVICE ORIGINALLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A FAILURE OF THE "VARIABLE VALVE TIMING ACTUATOR," BUT LATER RE-DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A FAILURE OF THE WIRING HARNESS. THE CAR WAS RETURNED 11/30/06. AFTER 20 MINUTES OF DRIVING, THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT REACTIVATED. I RETURNED THE CAR IMMEDIATELY. ON 12/01/06, THE DEALER/SERVICE DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND SAID A "VACUUM TUBE" DISCONNECTED. I PICKED UP CAR ON 12/01/06. AFTER A COUPLE HOURS OF DRIVING, THE "P" FOR PARK LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHILE I WAS IN DRIVE. (THE "P" AND "D" INDICATORS WERE BOTH ILLUMINATED AS I WAS DRIVING. ALSO, THE DOOR LOCKS ON ALL DOORS ENGAGED AND DISENGAGED UNCONTROLLABLY AND CONTINUOUSLY. I WAS NOT ABLE TO MANUALLY LOCK OR UNLOCK MY CAR DOORS USING THE "LOCK/UNLOCK" SWITCH ON THE DRIVE-SIDE DOOR SINCE IT WAS DEACTIVATED AS A RESULT...
